Here's the next chapter.
Lexi was really excited. But also a bit nervous. She and John were in Phoenix Arizona for a Make A Wish Foundation event.
John has attended at least a hundred of these events the past decade or so. But this was Lexi's first ever Make A Wish appearance.
She's gone to some charity events, but she's never been to one of the most well known and successful organizations.
"Hey Alexis. You doing okay?" John asked.
Lexi looked up at her husband. She gave him a small smile.
"Of course John. Why wouldn't I be?" she says.
"You've been really quiet since we left the hotel. Is there anything wrong?"
"No. I'm okay. It's just…" she stopped.
"Just what?" he wondered.
"I don't know. I mean what if the kids don't like me?"
John reached out and placed a hand on hers.
"Hey. They're going to love you. You're an good person who's done a lot of good things. Plus I've seen the way you interact with kids. You're going to do great."
Hearing those words made her heart flutter, and she smiled brightly.
"Why is it whenever I get sad you find a way to make me feel better?"
"Because you're my light. My rock. I'm always going to be here for you. No matter what."
She felt touched. A tear came out of her eye. She leaned across and gave her a soft peck on the cheek.
"I never get tired of your kisses." John said.
Lexi let out a little giggle. "And I never get tired of kissing you."
"Did you remember to bring your Raw Women's title belt?"
Lexi reached out to the back seat and brought over her suitcase and opened it, and there was her belt.
She smirked. "You know I never leave without my title."
John let's out a little chuckle. "Of course."
Later
They went inside to the Make A Wish building where they were greeted by President and CEO Leslie Motter.
"Mr Cena. It's good to see you again." She says, shaking John's hand.
"It's good to see you again too." John says.
Leslie then looks down at Lexi. "Hello. You must be his wife Alexis Kaufman."
Lexi smiled and shook her hand. "It's a pleasure to meet you Miss Motter."
"Same with you. So this is your first appearance at Make A Wish if I'm not mistaken."
"Yes ma'am." Lexi says.
"Well lucky for you we have kids who are fans of you."
Lexi smiled brightly, clearly surprised. "Really? That's great!"
"In fact we have a special young boy who wants to meet you."
"Oh. Okay."
"His name is Oscar. If you want we can take you over to him right now."
"Sure. I'd like that."
John and Lexi followed Leslie till they stopped at a room. Lexi made sure to have her title belt with her.
"You ready to make his dream come true?" Leslie asked Lexi.
Lexi simply nodded and smiled.
They went inside to see Oscar with no hair. His face lit up in excitement when he saw John and Lexi enter the room.
"Oscar. These two are here to see you."
"It's Alexa Bliss!" Oscar exclaimed.
Lexi smiled at the boy. "Yep. That's me."
"Cool!"
Alexa and Oscar had a little chat, and ended up taking a picture with him. He told Lexi his story.
Lexi got a bit sad and a bit teary eyed after finding out he has leukemia.
"Will you take a picture with me?" Oscar asked Lexi.
"I absolutely would love to take a picture with you Oscar."
Lexi took out her title belt and stood next to Oscar.
She stood next to him and they both smiled as Leslie took the picture with her phone.
"Can I see?" Oscar asked.
Leslie gave her phone to him.
"I love it!" he exclaimed.
"That's great." Leslie replied.
"It was a pleasure to meet you Oscar. You'll always be a champion in my heart." Lexi says.
Later that night
They're back in their hotel room snuggling while watching Toy Story 3.
"So how was it?" John asked his wife.
Lexi lifted her head to look at him. "It was amazing. It was really nice to see so many kids. They really loved seeing me."
"They sure did." He says with a chuckle.
"Can I see that picture again?"
"Sure."
She brought up the picture of John with a kid.
"That's so cute." She teased. John simply shrugged.
They went back to watching the movie.
After the movie was over they kissed for a bit.
"I need to go shower real quick." John says.
"Okay."
John grabbed his sleep clothes and headed towards the bathroom.
Lexi took out her phone and played Candy Crush.
She soon received a message from an unknown number.
She simply ignores it and went back to her game.
She got more messages.
She decided to see what they are.
She sees pictures of herself.
After a closer look she realized they were from today. At the Make A Wish event.
Soon fear and anxiety crept into her whole body.
Her body began to shake a little.
Then there were two more pics sent to her.
They looked to be at her's and John's hotel room door.
She then heard the door knob rattling.
She gasp and ran straight to the bathroom door.
"John! Help me! He's here!" she shouted.
"What? What's going on? Who's here?" John asked.
"It's Ryder! He's trying to break in!"
"Hang on! I'm coming!"
A few moments went by before John came out of the bathroom in nothing but a pair of shorts, his body soaking wet. He immediately went over to the table and grabbed a pair of brass knuckles.
He opened the door and saw a hooded figure running down the stairs.
John immediately chased after him.
The mystery person gets to his car but John grabs him by the shoulder.
But the guy ended up pepper spraying John.
"GAW!" John shouted in pain, as he's now blinded.
The mystery man got into his car and drove off.
"John!" Lexi shouted.
"Lexi. Where are you?" he wondered.
Lexi ran over to John. She tried to be careful, not wanting to rile him up.
She gently grabbed John by the wrist.
"John. I'm here. Listen to my voice." She said calmly.
"There you are Lexi. Are you okay?" he asked.
"Yes. I am." Lexi says.
She helped John back to the hotel room. She led John to the bathroom so he can wash out his eyes.
After some time John came out.
"How are you feeling?" Lexi asked.
"I'm okay. My eyes still sting a bit."
"I'm sorry John." Lexi says, feeling a bit guilty.
He walked over to her and hugged her. She rested her head on his bare chest.
"Don't apologize. I'm just glad you weren't hurt." John says.
She looked up at him and smiled.
"I'm so happy to have you as my husband." She said.
They shared a kiss.
"Feeling is mutual Alexis."
Sorry this chapter took so long to make. Just had some things going on with personal life.
