Marshall woke up in his red pup house feeling extra rested that day, he got up off his bed and stretched out his body before standing up straight again, he glanced at the clock on the small wooden desk that was now in front of him.

7:15 am

Marshall walked towards the door of his pup house, he slid it open and felt the heat of the sun hit his face, Marshall looked away as his eyes adjusted to the light of the beautiful blue sky. Marshall looked over at and grabbed his pup tag from the hook beside his door, he stepped out into the sunshine now feeling the heat on his entire body as he started walking on the warm ground towards the sliding glass door of the lookout tower. As he entered he saw Rocky and Zuma chatting and laughing as the two best friends always did while eating their breakfast, he looked towards the kitchen area where he saw Ryder putting away a white bowl with a metal spoon in it. Marshall happily made his way towards the boy with a smile radiating from the pup's face.

"Morning Ryder." Marshall greeted in a happy tone before heading toward his red plastic bowl to get some food. Ryder turned around to face the spotted pup.

"Good morning Marshall, sleep well?" Ryder responded with a smile seeing how happy the Dalmatian pup acted as he walked towards and carefully picked up his red bowl with his teeth.

"Yep." Marshall said in a muffled tone as the bowl was restricting his speech. The pup placed his bowl under the food dispenser then pressed the button and food came pouring out as usual. He was on his way toward the common area to watch some TV.

"I'm glad to hear that." Ryder said responding to the Dalmatian who had just made it to one of the bean bags in front of the TV. Ryder walked a little closer to the pup who had now begun eating his food.

"Have you seen Chase today?" Ryder asked Marshall who was facing away from him watching TV. Marshall was reminded of what happened yesterday when he talked to the German shepherd who was completely disinterested in playing with him and the rest of the pups. Marshall's floppy ears drooped even further as he thought back on his best friend's recent behavior.

"N-no I haven't." Marshall responded in a quiet voice trying to hide the hint of sadness in his voice. Ryder noticed the sudden change in mood from the pup who was now ignoring the TV and instead just staring at his food in his red bowl.

"Oh... Okay." Ryder responded in a quiet tone with worry in his eyes. Marshall could feel Ryder just standing halfway between him and the kitchen before he heard his footsteps making their way towards and through the sliding door to the boy's room, shortly thereafter it quietly slid shut and Marshall was left alone staring into his food as he could hear Rocky and Zuma happily chatting to each other on the other side of the common area as the TV was playing a commercial in front of him. Marshall didn't know what to do anymore he just slowly kept eating his food unable to focus on the TV.

Meanwhile

Skye had just left her pup house and was walking towards the entrance of the lookout, she was enjoying the morning sun radiating on her fur which had an almost golden shine from the bright rays. Her eyes were wandering across the landscape around the lookout tower before they eventually landed on the blue pup house a little bit ahead of her. She thought about the handsome German shepherd who lived inside, she thought back on that night with Chase a while back before realizing that she hadn't spoken to him in a couple of days, she brushed it off on her spending a lot of time servicing her helicopter recently. As she was passing the pup house she was surprised to hear a faint snore from inside the pup house. She stopped dead in her tracks surprised that he was still asleep, he was always the first one up, but when she thought to herself a little harder she realized that she hadn't remembered seeing him at breakfast the last couple of days.

"Everyone has lazy days I suppose." Skye thought to herself, brushing the thought away. She stepped closer to the door and pulled it up, letting in sunlight which lit up the room, revealing Chase on his bed at the back of the room.

"Morning sleepy head!" Skye said in her usual happy tone, she heard Chase groaning as he woke up. He opened his eyes and saw Skye standing in his doorway with her usual happy smile.

"Why'd you wake me up." Chase said with a hint of annoyance and anger in his voice as he rubbed his eyes trying to adjust to the bright sun shining straights into his face past the cockapoo pup.

"I woke you up because it's breakfast time, Chase." Skye said with the same tone as before as she looked at the handsome pup standing up from his bed. Skye blushed slightly as Chase recovered from the sudden light change and started to look like the handsome pup she saw every day. Chase looked at the clock on his wall now that he had adjusted to the sudden bright light.

7:26 am

"Yeah, well don't do it again" Chase harshly said with the same tone as before. Skye was taken aback by this, this wasn't the same pup from that night she thought to herself.

"So much for helping you." Skye said in an angry tone as she stormed off towards the lookout entrance. She walked toward the door and calmed herself down before opening it and walking to grab her food. She looked around the common area while holding her pink bowl and saw Marshall sitting in front of the TV and to the left of that she saw Rocky and Zuma walking next to each other carrying their bowls back towards the kitchen. She decided to sit alone where the Lab and Mixed breed were just sitting. As she sat down and tried to eat her food but she found her mind was preoccupied with thinking about the interaction she just had with Chase. She was still mad at him for acting like that, but then she was also worried for the German shepherd.

"Why is he acting so different." She wondered to herself as she could not remember a single time where Chase had been mad at her previously. This was not the same pup from that night she kept thinking to herself as she just stared at her food. She heard the door to the lookout slide open, her head quickly jerked up towards the door. She saw Rubble walking through it, she looked back down at her food in disappointment.

"Why am I disappointed, I'm mad at him... Right?" She thought to herself as her face formed a disappointed look.

Marshall's eyes were drawn from the TV that he wasn't paying attention to anyways, they fell on Skye sitting where Rocky and Zuma had previously been. Marshall hadn't noticed them leave and now Skye was sitting there, but there was something off about her, she wasn't her usual happy and playful self, something felt off in Marshall's mind. He decided to walk over there leaving his half-eaten food in front of the TV as he walked over to the pup.

"Hey what's up Skye? You seem a little down" Marshall asked in a soft voice. Skye hadn't noticed Marshall until he said anything, she looked up from her food but the unexpected questing flustered her as she tried to think of what to say to the Dalmatian pup that was now unexpectedly standing in front of her.

"U-uh, it's Chase... He is acting weird, and I'm a little... worried." She said in a quiet voice. Marshall looked down at his paws as he took in what the Cockapoo said.

"Y-yeah I've noticed that too." Marshall said as he sat down.

"He's been acting weird ever since we came back from Adventure City." Marshall continued with a worried expression on his face.

"I've tried to get him out of his pup house but he refused." Marshall said now looking back up towards Skye. They both share the same worried expression.

"I talked to him just now and he... got mad at me." Skye said with a sad frown overtaking her face. Marshall sighed in thought.

"I suppose I'll try to talk to him then..." Marshall responded as he thought if Chase was mad at Skye it's best that he talks to him instead. However before they had time to continue their conversation Ryder's voice could be heard over their pup tags interrupting.

"PAW Patrol to the lookout, I have an announcement." Ryder's voice came through both their pup tags. Marshall and Skye both tried to cheer up a little as they made their way toward the elevator. As Marshall stepped into the elevator and turned around to face the rest of the room he saw Rubble quickly gobble up his food and start running towards the elevator, then the best friends came running through the sliding door giggling about something, followed by a slow walking German Shepherd. Marshall looked down at the floor as Chase got into the elevator. Then a sudden jolt, the elevator began ascending and Marshall looks out through the glass in front of him he stares at the bridge leading to the city, shortly thereafter they reached the top and with a chime the door opens and the pups walk out of the elevator and line up in front of Ryder.

"Good morning pups! As I said I have an announcement which I think you all will like to hear. Jake is taking a vacation to finally climb Mount Everest, as some of you know he has been wanting to do this for a long time. Jake has asked me to look after Everest so she will be staying here for the duration of the climb. She should be arriving shortly." Ryder said excitedly to all the pups. All the pups cheered happily, Chase did his best to as well as to not stick out too much with all the pups around. Marshall got a soft blush on his cheeks from hearing the news, Marshall does his best to hide his blush from the others but they are too excited to notice anyways, except Chase who noticed Marshall's weird behavior but simply ignores it. And Skye is over the moon as she finally gets to see her best friend again.

"How long will she stay?" Skye asks with an excited tone along with an even more excited smile. Ryder smiles at all the pups.

"Well. Climbing Mount Everest usually takes a little over two months, but before the climb, you first have to get to the base camp at the bottom. So overall I think it will take him a little over three months. So Everest will be staying with us till' sometime after Halloween."

Skye barked excitedly at the news, she has missed spending time with the husky and they have so much to catch up on and talk about ever since they last spoke.

"Alright pups, make sure to give her a warm welcome as she will be staying here for a while." Ryder said with a warm smile before letting the pups return to what they were doing before. All the pups were headed back towards the elevator to go back down to the first floor.

"Uh Chase, can you come here for a second?" Ryder said to the pup, trying to keep his expression from showing his worry. Chase turned around and looked at Ryder before looking back at the pups who had just entered the elevator, Marshall and Skye were looking at him as the elevator doors closed and they started moving down out of Chase's sight.

"Uh, yeah, sure Ryder sir." Chase said with a slightly confused voice as he looked back at the boy who was no longer hiding the worry on his face. Chase also got worried at the sight.

"What is it Ryder sir?" Chase asked as he walked towards the boy who was still standing where he would usually make the briefings for the pups. Chase stopped a short distance from the boy looking up at his face. Ryder kneeled down to the German shepherd and gave him a little scratch on the head.

"Is everything alright Chase?" Ryder asked looking at the pup in front of him with worry in his eyes. Chase guessed that this was where the conversation going so he was prepared.

"Yes Ryder, I told you I'm fine." Chase said with an unbothered face. The pup was used to surface acting at this point as he had been doing it ever since he met Ryder, it was second nature now. It was like the pup had two faces, there is the one where he is the strong leader unfazed by everything this was the face he wore during missions so as to not let his emotions impede his judgment. His other face was caring and playful, this was the face his friends knew him as. But ever since they returned from the city and all the memories of his family returned he no longer knows where one face starts and the other ends, as if one face would overpower the other if he let go in front of his friends, he felt safe carrying the closed off face, he felt like if he even let out a little more would come flowing out breaking down all the walls he has to protect him, leaving him vulnerable.

"Chase..." The pup heard Ryder say which brought him back out of his mind.

"You're... you're not alone anymore Chase..." Ryder said softening his voice. Chase's eyes widened slightly and his body tensed up as he heard the words coming from Ryder.

"...you don't need to face everything by yourself anymore." Ryder finished. The unexpected words shook Chase's walls, he felt a stinging in his nose as he held back his emotions.

"Ryder, I'm fine!" Chase said a bit louder than he expected before turning around and started quickly walking towards the elevator and pressing the button to call it up.

"Chase, don't go." Ryder said as the quick elevator made it to the top.

"I'm fine." Chase said in a calmer voice as he stepped into the elevator the doors closed behind him and he started descending.

"What am I supposed to do.." Ryder thought to himself as he sat down against the hard metal terminal behind him, he stared up towards the ceiling trying to think. But the worry was too much for him to think straight.

A while later

Marshall has been laying in bed trying to sleep a little since the meeting, he turned and looked over at his clock.

1:27 pm

Marshall then let out a sigh and turned back around, again trying to get some shut-eye, just as he felt his eyes shutting he was annoyed to find himself hearing... metal clattering? Shortly thereafter he heard a powerful engine coming closer and closer.

"Everest!" Marshall said quietly to himself excitedly. He felt his heart rate increase as he sprung out of bed and out the door of his pup house. As he stepped out he saw Ryder already outside waiting for her as he had already spotted her from the tower. Everest came to a stop in front of Ryder facing the right side of her tracked vehicle towards him. Marshal then started running toward the husky again. He was running towards them from the front of the vehicle, but then he tripped and started tumbling.

"Hey Ryder how are you?" Everest asked but before Ryder could respond.

"Whoa!" The husky and the boy heard before a loud metal bang rang out through her vehicle.

"That must be Marshall then." She said with a giggle as Marshall was laying down on the ground, his eyes spinning unable to focus on a single point.

"Hi, Everest." Marshall happily said with an embarrassed tone, the Dalmatian had an excited smile on his face.

"Hi Marshall." She said with a giggle as she jumped off her vehicle and walked over to the Dalmatian pup. She saw the pup laying there and let out a little giggle.

"You want a paw?" Everest offered reaching out her paw towards Marshall whose eyes finally stopped spinning. Marshall grabbed her paw and stood up, he chuckled nervously trying to hide his bright red face.

"T-thanks." Marshall said nervously, before he heard a voice from the lookout tower, he and Everest turned towards where to voice came from.

"Everest!" Skye screamed as she came running towards the husky, Everest and Skye hugged for a second before letting go and started talking about something but Marshall couldn't hear what they were saying, he was lost in the husky's lavender-colored fur. He noticed how he was blushing even harder now and quickly turned away from the Husky and Cockapoo.

"Alright Everest, what do you say we go meet the rest of the pups inside?" Ryder said with a smile. As all four of them began walking towards the tower, Everest and Skye were still talking but Marshall could just see Everest's mouth moving unable to hear a single word as they kept on walking until they reached the lookout doors and entered.

"Hi pups." Everest said with a smile, all the pups turned their heads away from the TV and ran up to Everest and began excitedly chatting with her, all of them except Chase.

"Hey guys where's Chase?" Everest asked the pups, who then looked around for a second.

"He's pwobably in his pup house again." Zuma said as he and the other pups once again started talking to each other and Everest. Marshall's mood then suddenly dropped as he was reminded of Chase once again, he slowly turned away from the group and walked out of the lookout towards his pup house. No one saw him leave except Everest who got slightly concerned but continued her conversation with the rest of the pups. Then suddenly Ryder's phone beeped.

"Ryder! I need the PAW patrol." Mayor Goodway's voice could be heard saying over the call as all the pups quieted down and listened.

"a water pipe has broken in front of the city hall. Can you and the pups help?" Mayor Goodway asked in a panicked voice as you could hear the water spraying in the background.

"No job is too big, no pup is too small!" Ryder said before hanging up the call.

"Rubble, Rocky go get your pup packs and meet me with your vehicles in the driveway, I'll brief you on the way there!" Ryder said before hurrying off towards his garage. The two pups went up the elevator and got dressed and then down the slide and within a minute they were off in their vehicles and headed down the driveway.

"Hey, you guys wanna watch some TV while we wait for Wocky and Wubble to get back?" Zuma asked with a smile while looking at Skye and Everest.

"Sure Zuma." Skye said in her usual happy tone.

"What about you Evewest" Zuma asked Everest who was still quiet thinking about Marshall.

"Uh yeah I'll be there in a minute, I just need to go re-park my Snowcat." she said referring to her treaded vehicle.

"Okay, we'll wait for you by the TV then." Skye said happily as she and Zuma turned around and walked toward the beanbags. Everest turned around and walked out the door but she couldn't get Marshall out of her head as she started her snowcat and drove around the tower before spotting the red pup house where she then decided to park her vehicle right across from it on the grass. As she jumped out she decided to go see if Marshall was in there.

Marshall was on his bed trying to get Chase off his mind when he heard a light knock at his door.

"Hey Marshall, you in there?" Marshall heard a familiar voice say, he quickly composed himself before walking over to the door he took a deep breath before he opened the door.

"H-hey Everest, W-what's up?" Marshall said as he lost all his composure when he finally faced the husky at his door.

"Hi Marshall, I just noticed that you left and... wanted to say hi." Everest said looking at the Dalmatian pup standing in the doorway.

"O-oh, okay." Marshall said with a smile.

Silence

"Uh, can I come in?" Everest asked after a long silence. Marshall then realized that he had just been standing there staring into her ice-blue eyes without saying anything.

"U-uh wha-, y-yeah s-sure" Marshall managed to stutter out as he stepped aside to let Everest past him, as she walked past him into the room her fluffy tail rubbed against Marshall's side causing him to blush madly as she made her way past. He closed the door and before turning around he tried to compose himself once again with moderate success.

"Wow, it's a very nice room you've got." Everest said as she looked around the room, in the back left of the room was a wooden desk with some stuff on it including a clock. To the right of that were a couple of pictures, some other framed things, and a helmet hanging on the wall. Further right from that was a bed that had the head-end up against the back wall it had a white pillow, white bedding, and a red blanket. And at the foot-end was a wooden closet with a wooden sliding door.

"T-thanks, I designed it m-myself." Marshall said with a smile while trying to not blush. Everest walked over to the head-end of the bed and sat down looking over at the wall of frames and pictures, before her eyes fixed on the helmet on the wall, she reached out and grabbed it to look at it closer. As she grabbed the firefighter helmet she could feel notches and scrapes in the metal helmet, the right side was partially black instead of the red color the rest of the helmet had, and along the base of the helmet where the rim went out there was a black strap holding on to a flashlight that was on the fine left side but on the right side the strap looked to be melted stuck to the metal of the helmet, and in the front of the helmet was some kind of emblem that was hard to make out as it was partially covered in black and badly damaged.

"What is this?" Everest asked staring at the helmet, Marshall made his way and sat on the other end of the bed still blushing, he was glad her attention was on the helmet instead of him.

"T-that's my old helmet." Marshall said as he reached in under his bed and pulled out a spare helmet, he handed the spare over to Everest who was still inspecting the old one.

"This is what it's s-supposed to look like." Marshall said as Everest looked back and forth between the helmets.

"What happened to it?" She said looking up from the helmets and back at Marshall who was looking up at the ceiling in an attempt to hide his face.

"It got badly damaged during a mission. There was a house on fire on the outskirts of Adventure Bay, I went in to see if anyone was still in there when a wooden beam fell down and struck the edge of my helmet flinging it off my head. Later when the fire was put out I found the helmet and Ryder gave me a new one since that one was too damaged, so I just keep it on my wall to remind me always be careful because it can all go wrong so quickly." Marshall spoke, before looking down from the ceiling, he looked a little to his right and saw out of the corner of his eye the husky looking at him in awe as she listened to him speak. He looked back forward to avoid eye contact with the husky.

"All the stuff on that wall is from missions, some letters, newspapers, and pictures" Marshall finished looking over at them and thinking back on some of the missions.

"Wow. There is so much stuff on there, you're one brave pup Marshall." Everest said while studying the things on the wall. Marshall blushed even harder at the compliment as he looked over at the husky who was still studying the wall. He stared at her fluffy fur remembering the feeling when her tail brushed up against him.

"And you're one beautiful pup" Marshall whispered quietly. Everest turned around.

"What did you say Marshall?" She said with a happy smile. Marshall now blushing even harder was flustered.

"N-n-nothing, I-it's n-nothing." Marshall stuttered. Everest noticed Marshall's reaction and blushed slightly.

"Okay goofball." She giggled looking at Marshall who was trying to cover his bright red face. She moved closer to Marshall, now sitting right next to him. Marshall again felt her thick soft warm lavender fur against his short black and white fur, his head snapped forward to hide his blush and to not accidentally touch her face with his due to their proximity. He felt her fluffy tail slowly brushing back and forth behind him and every time it touched him a warm pulse was sent through his body. His short tail wanted to wag but Marshall kept it under control. Everest had a light blush on her face but Marshall didn't notice as he thought if he looked at her he would explode from how much he was blushing.

"What do you say we get some food?" Everest said after some time of silence while looking at Marshall or well the side of his face.

"U-uh y-yeah t-t-that sounds g-good" Marshall stuttered profusely. As Everest stood up and her fur no longer touching Marshall's, he felt all the warmth leave his body immediately and desperately wanted it to come back, he never wanted it to stop. He also got up and followed Everest out of the pup house. They were walking towards the lookout to go eat some lunch as they had yet to eat anything. As they entered the lookout they saw Skye and Rubble watching TV, Rocky and Zuma talking to each other, and Chase just finishing his food. Marshall was slightly saddened to be reminded of Chase again but as he looked back at Everest all worry faded and he thought to himself that Chase isn't interested in talking to him anyways. Everest grabbed a guest bowl and filled it and after that Marshall filled his, as they were on their way toward the common area to find somewhere to sit Ryder exited his room.

"Hello pups! Ah good everyone is here." Ryder said getting everyone's attention.

"Tomorrow I'm leaving for Adventure City for a meeting with the new mayor, he has specifically requested I be there at an important city council meeting. I'm sorry about the short notice pups but I know you guys can handle yourselves, besides I'm only going to be gone for about three days" Ryder finished, all the pups looked at him as he finished.

"Okay Ryder." All the pups said.

"Well if anyone has any questions I'll be in my room packing, alright feel free to continue with whatever you were doing." Ryder said before entering his room followed by Rubble who presumably had a question. Marshall and Everest started eating their food while Chase returned his bowl to its proper place before walking out of the kitchen glancing at all the pups in the common area, he walked towards the sliding door leading out and then headed towards his pup house once again, as he entered he looked at the calendar

July 11th

He shrugged at the date and thought to himself that he can't just lay around all day so he decided to exercise for a while, he went over to his bed and pulled out a box from under it. He opened the box and pulled out a pull-up bar, a foam mat, and a couple of dumbbells. He set up the pull-up bar and placed the mat below with the dumbbells on the corner of it. He did pull-ups then dropped down on the mat and placed his front paws under the dumbbells and proceeded to push his forelegs straight out with the dumbbells on top for a while before returning to the pull-ups the repeating this over and over, eventuality a tear fell from his eye as he thought back on those memories again, but that caused him to work harder because... only the pain will make him forget.

After a while he heard a knock on his door, and with a sigh he dropped the dumbbells and walked over to the door with sweat running down his body, he opened the door and saw Ryder crouching in front of his door.

"Hey Chase!" Ryder said with a smile.

"Hello Ryder sir." Chase said with an exhausted fake smile.

"I just came to say sorry about having to leave tomorrow, and as I will probably be leaving early tomorrow I wanted to give you this now..." Ryder said handing the pup a blue-wrapped box with a yellow bow on top.

"... and wish you an early happy birthday now." Ryder finished giving the sweaty pup a scratch on the head.

"Working out I see." Ryder said noticeing the sweat on the pup's head and the equipment in his room.

"Yeah I am, and thank you Ryder." Chase said with a smile.

"Alright well I've gotta get back to packing so I'll leave you to it. Oh and also don't open the present until tomorrow, it's not your birthday just yet." Ryder said as he made his way back towards the lookout. Chase closed the door and looked at the present In front of him the box was slightly smaller than his head. He carefully picked it up with his teeth grabbing onto the yellow bow on top, he walked it over to his nightstand and placed it on top of it next to his lamp. He looked back at his workout equipment and then at the clock on the wall.

8:03 pm

All the time he spent in his head he hadn't realized that he had been working out for almost 6 hours straight. He then suddenly felt his legs weakening below him as all the exercise finally caught up to him. He looked over at his bed letting out a sigh and collapsing on top of his bed out of exhaustion.

All the pups were in their pup houses either sleeping or on their way to do so, all of them except Marshall and Everest who were still watching TV in the common area together.

"Hey Marshall, I'm gonna head to bed." Everest said turning her head to face Marshall.

"Yeah, I should as well." Marshall said as he stood up from the beanbag before Everest followed suit. Marshall turned off the TV before the two pups headed out of the lookout on their way to their respective pup house they were walking alongside each other, a cool summer breeze blew past the pups as they made it to their pup houses.

"Alright, goodnight Marshall." Everest said with a warm smile. Marshall blushed slightly at the sight.

"G-goodnight Everest." He said before turning to his right and heading towards his pup house, he slid the door open and walked inside but ad he was about to close the door he saw Everest still walking towards her pup house straight across from him, he stood there looking at the lavender pup until she made it inside and closed her door, he then sighed happily with a warm smile before closing his door and began walking towards his bed he sat down at the head-end of the bed and grabbed the old helmet off the wall, and felt the texture of the metal helmet.

"Still smells like her." Marshall thought to Himself as he put the helmet back on the wall along with all the other mementos of his time in the PAW Patrol. He laid down on his bed resting his head on the pillow and curled up facing the wall, he closed his eyes but nothing happened, he realized that he wasn't actually tired at all, his heart was still beating fast and the memory of her clear as day in his head. He sat back up in his bed just looking into the side of his wooden closet at the foot of his bed. He just stared at it thinking back on all the rescues he did with Everest, he sat there just thinking for probably fifteen minutes then suddenly a light knock at his door brought him back to reality. Marshall slowly stood up and walked over to the door wondering who it might be, as he got to the door he slowly opened it so it wouldn't make as loud of a sound as usual. When the door was opened he saw a husky standing in front of him.

"Hi." Everest said in a hushed tone.

"H-hey, w-what are you d-doing here? Didn't you s-say you were tired?" Marshall asked in a confused tone.

"Yeah well-" Everest was interrupted.

"A-actually come inside." Marshall interrupted as he moved to the side, Everest went inside and Marshall carefully slid the door shut.

"S-sorry about that, but now we can talk normally." Marshall apologized with a small smile on his face.

"Yeah, what is was gonna say was, that I can't sleep I always sleep in my pup bed in jakes room. I haven't spent the night alone in a long time. So I was wondering... if I could maybe sleep in here tonight?" Everest asked looking at her paw she was dragging back and forth across the floor under her.

"W-wha w-well... I haven't got a s-spare mattress o-or anything like that h-here." Marshall said looking at the husky.

"Oh, okay." The husky said disappointingly, she started to turn around to leave.

"U-unless you c-can sleep... o-on the bed with m-me... I-I don't the mind c-cramped space, u-unless you do of course." Marshall said nervously with a soft blush.

"O-or actually I-I'll sleep on the floor y-you can sleep on t-the bed." Marshall said and looked down at his paws.

"No don't be silly you can sleep on the bed... I-I don't mind the cramped space either." Everest said with a soft blush still looking down at her paws.

"R-really? You s-sure?" Marshall said looking back up at Everest blushing even more.

"Y-yeah silly, can't have you sleeping on the floor." Everest said as she looked up and met eyes with the Dalmatian. She climbed on the bed and laid down at the foot-end of the bed. Marshall was still standing slightly in shock.

"Are you coming goofball?" Everest giggled which made Marshall snap back to reality.

"Y-yeah sorry." Marshall said with a nervous chuckle as he laid down at the head end of his bed, he had his back towards the back wall of the room, he pulled the small blanket over him and closed his eyes, after a second of silence he felt some shuffling in the mattress and one of his floppy ears perked up a little to listen, he felt a cool breeze before shortly after a warm pulse radiated through his body, he opened one of his eyes to see that Everest had crawled in under his small blanket and now the soft fur on her back was up against his stomach. Marshall began blushing madly, his heart beating out of his chest, and his tail wagging like crazy. It was like he couldn't control his own body anymore.

"Best night ever!" Marshall thought to himself with a big smile on his face as the feeling of her dense fur against his warmed his entire body. He was just staring at the back of the husky's head as he started hearing light breathing, she had already fallen asleep. Marshall stared at the back of her head which was sticking out of the blanket, studying it like it was the most interesting piece of art ever, he was lost in her dense fur and her cute ears. After an hour or so he felt himself dozing off, the last thing he remembered was her beautiful lavender fur.
