Five years later, Harry was able to use more than sound on the job. He could also utilize magic. After officially meeting his godfather, Harry got to work learning all that Sirius could teach him. Even though their first meeting with words could have gone better.

"Uhh… hi?" The shaggy haired man said.

After seeing that a likely homeless man had found his way into the hideout, Leonard reacted by aiming one of his cold guns at the man asking "Who the hell are you, and how did you get in here?"

"Wait! My name is Sirius Black. I'm Harry's godfather."

Everyone looked at Harry, who looked at Sirius with an unreadable expression on his face. Sirius continued. "I know this looks bad, but I swear, I just want to protect Harry. I was framed for a crime and I only recently managed to escape from prison. I was a friend of his parents. Harry, I wanted so badly to take care of you, but I couldn't find you."

Harry said nothing. But Hartley did.

"Then how did you get here?"

"Harry found me. I'm Padfoot." He then proceeded to turn into a very familiar black dog and back. Harry was still unreadable.

"Please, let me be a part of your life."

Harry finally spoke. "You say you knew my parents, what was my mother's sister's name?"

"Petunia Evans. But she married a man named Vernon Dursley." Was Sirius's answer.

"I believe you."

After that, Sirius was soon made an honorary Rogue. And what a member he was. With Sirius's help, the hideout became even safer. When he explained that he was magic and that he could teach Harry, the two of them decided to put their abilities to use. While Sirius had no wand, Harry didn't need one, so under Sirius's guidance, Harry managed to place strong muggle repelling wards around the hideout.

This made the hideout almost undetectable to a certain red suited speed demon. The Rogues made it clear that they were still keeping an eye on Sirius though. Sirius said that Harry's safety was his main priority and that was all that was important to him.

The conviction in his eyes went a long way towards earning the Rogues' trust. Especially Leonard and Lisa, who were both very mistreated by their father in their youth.

Eventually Sirius fell into a sort of support role. He would help the Rogues when they returned from their jobs by repairing their costumes and teaching them about the magical world, or at least the British one. In return, they would teach Sirius how to navigate the muggle world with help from James's expert disguises.

Speaking of James, after he learned that Sirius was a prankster, they began talking, plotting tricks, and learning the tools of each other's trades. The Rogues found out that Harry's dad was named James and was also a prankster. This got a laugh out of everyone and Harry asked if he could learn more about his family.

So Sirius told all of them about Lily and James Potter. Like how Lily hated James at first because of his immature joking nature. How James eventually matured for Lily. How they got married, Lily gave birth, and Sirius was named godfather. They also talked about the Marauders and how they became unregistered animagi to comfort their werewolf friend, Remus Lupin.

He eventually explained the wizarding war, Voldemort, and why he was arrested in the first place. While the Rogues were a little miffed about Sirius giving Harry to this Hagrid man, they could understand the strong desire for vengeance.

Harry started learning more magic from Sirius, and the whole group got along very well. Sirius even allowed Harry to keep going on jobs with the Rogues, so long as he could stay with Harry as Padfoot. The Rogues agreed and from that point forward, the Rogues were able to do all of their jobs with little hassle. Harry was never arrested, and while the Rogues were taken away sometimes, they never stayed put for long. Life was good.

But now an owl with a letter was arriving at the hideout, which at some point had been declared The Thieves' Den, courtesy of Trickster. It entered through an open window and landed in front of Harry, getting everybody's attention. Harry took the letter from the owl and began to read.

[INSERT LETTER HERE BECAUSE I AM LAZY]

Harry noticed the owl still there and told the bird to wait there. He showed everyone the letter and asked "Will you all be alright without me?"

"We will and we wouldn't stop you even if we weren't." Was Lisa's answer.

"We need to get your supplies at Diagon Alley in London. But I can't see us getting transportation there easily." Sirius said.

Everyone looked at Mirror Master.

All he did was ready his belt and say "Yeah, I'm on it."

Who would've thought mirrors would be such effective transportation.

A small flash of light appeared in a side alley in London. Harry looked around quickly and when he saw the coast was clear, he signaled everyone else to come out. Leonard came out followed by Hartley, Lisa, James, and Sam, all dressed in 'civvies' or civilian clothes. Mick, Sirius, and George stayed back at the Den because Mick was covered in burns, Sirius was a wanted 'criminal', and bringing George would be too many people for one new student. While the three knew they couldn't go, Lisa offered to take plenty of pictures for them to make up for it.

They left the side alley to find the Leaky Cauldron. They almost went past it until Harry and Lisa pointed it out. The rest of them managed to notice it by focusing hard and squinting a little bit. They went in and were immediately hit by the smell of dust and light smoke. They figured out the source of the smoke smell when they saw torches on the walls and candles on some tables. The group knew from Sirius that the British Wizarding World was backwards but they didn't even have electricity? This is ridiculous!

A man roughly the shape of a wal-nut noticed them enter and said "Hello! Name's Tom. Never seen any of you here before. Lemme guess: the kids going to Hogwarts?"

Hartley answered "Yep, just getting some supplies for Harry here."

Tom looked closer at Harry and saw his forehead, or more accurately, the scar on it. "Bless my soul, it's-"

"Don't say it. We want to shop without getting mobbed." Leonard interrupted.

Tom looked a little surprised but nodded his head and said "If you're looking to get into Diagon Alley, I'll let you in. There's a certain method of getting in, so the young man may want to pay attention." Tom said, not unkindly.

They walked to the other side of the room to the back door and saw a brick wall with a spot in the middle missing a few bricks. Tom proceeded to pull out his wand and tapped a few bricks around the empty spot while Harry watched carefully. When Tom finished and the bricks started to wiggle then fold in on themselves making a hole that formed a gateway.

"Welcome to Diagon Alley." Tom said looking at their faces. While there was a look of shock on their faces, they actually didn't seem too surprised. As if they were used to this sort of thing. "Enjoy your trip!" He said walking away.

"So… Gringotts?" Harry asked.

"Yeah… Gringotts." Hartley replied.

The group walked down the Alley, looking at all the shops and listening to snippets of conversation as they passed by. Eventually, they reached a pale white marble building and noticed a short but fierce looking… being with a long axe in hand. Remembering what Sirius said about Gringotts and those who run it, they knew where they were.

They went into the bank and walked up to the first available teller. Harry, remembering Sirius's tips to talking with goblins, stepped forward and said "Greetings honorable teller. May your enemies tremble at the sound of your name."

The teller looked at Harry with mild surprise, as did the goblins around them. "And may your gold forever flow, young wizard. What can Gringotts do for you today?" The teller said politely.

The patrons around them looked at the teller in surprise. Goblins were known to be somewhat unpleasant towards humans. The fact that this teller was being 'nice' was a bit of a shock.

"I understand that I have been left an inheritance and would like to receive an inheritance test to be certain, sir." Harry answered.

"And who, may I ask, are you?"

Harry gave the teller a slip of paper with his name on it while saying "We would most appreciate your discretion, sir."

The goblin read the slip and his eyes widened slightly. But then said "Follow me, please." And he walked out from the desk and led the group to the inheritance test room.

The group found themselves in a small office with a goblin behind a desk adorned with a plaque:

GRIPHOOK

POTTER ACCOUNT MANAGER

"Hello Mr. Potter. I hear that you wish to undergo an inheritance test." He pulls out a parchment and a dagger and places them on the table. "You will need to slice your palm and allow at least three drops to fall upon the parchment."

Harry had to ask something first. "You sterilize the dagger before and after, right?"

"Of course. Though many wizards aren't aware of blood borne illnesses, we at Gringotts are more than aware of the inherent dangers." Replied Griphook.

"Alright then." And Harry made a slight cut on his palm as instructed. Though it did hurt, all Harry did was wince quickly. Something that Griphook respected, though he didn't say it, his eyes and smirk said enough.

When the three drops of blood hit the parchment, the wound on Harry's hand healed very quickly. The group looked at his palm in slight surprise, then back to the parchment.

WARNING! HORCRUX DETECTED IN SCAR (Tom Riddle Jr.)

The group were concerned about the bindings, but when they saw the horcrux part, they looked at Griphook for an answer. But what they saw was a look of pure rage on the goblin's face. "Mr. Potter, we need to get you looked at by a goblin healer so that we may remove the horcrux."

"Hold on." Leonard said. "What's a horcrux?"

"It is the darkest of evil magic. A horcrux is a piece of someone's soul that has been put into a container in an attempt at immortality. The price of such a thing is to murder an innocent person in cold blood and without remorse. This piece appears to be from Tom Riddle Jr. more commonly known as Lord Voldemort." Griphook explained grimly.

The rest of the room looked at Harry who was silent and had a look of deep thought on his face. Eventually he said "It was my mom. He murdered my mom to become immortal."

Nobody knew what to say but Harry continued. "Please, whatever it takes, get it out of me. I'll pay you whatever you want, just get rid of it."

"This magic must not be allowed to exist. To destroy this evil, we will act for free."

In the lower tunnels, the goblin healers were preparing a ritual to deal with the horcrux. As it turns out, the only certain way to destroy a horcrux was to destroy the container. So before they could destroy it, they had to transfer it into something else. They were putting it into a quill so that they could burn it after.

Leonard, Hartley, James, and Lisa looked quite grim. But Harry looked determined. Once the ritual was ready, Harry got onto a table and was strapped down to it. Apparently, the ritual could cause him a lot of pain, so the straps were quite necessary. They also set up very strong noise suppression spells, because if Harry screamed too hard, A LOT of people would notice.

When it began, Harry felt little to nothing. But soon the pain began. It started out as a mild headache, then a serious headache, a migraine, and finally it felt like his head was being ripped open with something being pulled out. What he didn't know was that a black mist was rising into the air as this was happening. The black mist was in the shape of a noseless face that was screaming as it was forced from Harry's head into the quill.

When everything was done, the entire room was quiet. Harry was released from the table and went over to the Rogues that came with him and hugged them tightly. When he was done, he asked the goblins "Did it work?"

"Yes, though there seems to be something else." A goblin healer said.

"What is it?" Hartley asked.

"Given the size of the horcrux, we believe there to be more." Another healer said.

"How many?" Leonard asked seriously.

"We believe this horcrux to be the last of seven." Griphook said. "That is why we would like your permission for something. If we keep this horcrux alive, we can use it to find the others. But we cannot and will not do so without Mr. Potter's permission."

Everyone looked to Harry who said "As long as it can't hurt anyone, then you have my permission. Make sure that Voldemort receives no mercy."

"If I didn't know better, I would've thought that you had goblin blood in your veins. We will do all that we can. Let us head back to my office." Griphook offered.

Back in the office, they discussed the rest of the inheritance test results. They looked at the part with the bindings and asked why a headmaster of a school would even be allowed to do this.

"He's not allowed to. Unfortunately he could claim that he was protecting you from your own magic. Considering the leeway he has because of his fame, he could easily get away with this." Griphook explained.

"Well can we get the bindings removed?" Harry asked.

"They're already gone. The bindings were attached to you through the horcrux. With it removed, the bindings were removed with it. Would you like to retrieve some money while you are here? Because if you would, I will need your vault key."

"I don't have it. I didn't know I needed one or had one." Harry replied.

"A problem easily resolved. We will have to deduct fee of ten galleons from your trust vault first, but then we will create a new key for you which will also render any other keys useless." Griphook told them.

Twenty minutes and a ten galleon fee later, the group was finally ready to go shopping.
