PPX: Zuma's First Month
Epilogue chapter: No Need To Roam, I Found My Home
Late at night on Zuma's thirtieth day in Adventure Bay, Richie was shown sleeping in his bed, only to be woken up by a loud booming sound that made the ground shake. He got out of bed instantly and took his phone out to check for danger, but failed to find any disaster status on the radar. This caused his window to break, which didn't surprise him, as this has happened before judging by the look on his then sighed in annoyance, knowing exactly what this meant. "Typical."
Several of Adventure Bay's residents were awoken by this as well. Actually, ninety percent of the town woke up from the incident, some even from windows in their house breaking. Even Captain Turbot heard this from the lighthouse, where he was thankfully able to go back to sleep right after, due to being far enough away to avoid it affecting his home. Katie was cleaning up the glass as Cali growled in annoyance over what happened. "I know Cali. I love the Paw Patrol as much as everyone else, but sadly, they can't control everything."
Cali nodded in agreement, and after she did, Mr. Porter was helping keep a young Alex in bed with some ear muffs. Thankfully, he was old enough to wear a small pair, so it wasn't too much trouble in helping him get to sleep. Then, the Lookout was revealed to be shaking as well, and it then zoomed in on Chase's window. After it did, Chase was revealed to be unleashing...
HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH...
...a loud and bassy fart with his violently vibrating butt pointed into the air as the sleeping German Shepherd unleashed a massive yellow cloud of rotten eggs. By some miracle, his own window was able to avoid being broken by this, but that didn't stop the rest of the town from being impacted by how powerful the fart was. The last ten seconds of the minute long loud, earthquake causing fart were let out with Rocky and Zuma shown eavesdropping from right outside Chase's bedroom door...
HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHT
After the fart was over, Zuma was struggling to hold in his laughter. Rocky on the other hand, was less than impressed. Not just because he wasn't particularly fond of farts or fart related humor, as he was used to that from his friends; especially Chase. He was also unimpressed by another detail that revealed this wasn't a one time thing "So this whole time, those once in a lifetime earthquakes were caused by Chase sleep farting so hard that he causes town-wide damage?"
"I guess so." Zuma admitted, still struggling to laugh before signaling Rocky to come with him. "Anyway, we should get back to bed. Wyder has a big day for us tomowwow." Rocky quickly followed Zuma's signal as the two pups went back to their rooms. Both of them were very excited about tomorrow, and weren't about to let this wake up call keep them up.
After breakfast on day thirty one of Zuma's life in Adventure Bay, Ryder was leading the pups outside for a surprise. The surprise in question was for Rocky and Zuma, who Ryder, Chase, and Skye were leading to the garage door for the first part of it. "Rocky, Zuma, since you two joined the team yesterday, I think I can finally show off these specific vehicles I've had in waiting for some time now." Ryder held onto a cloth that was covering up a truck sized object. "The first one is for you Rocky."
Ryder revealed a green recycling truck, which amazed Rocky when he saw it. Ryder announced his new role on the team as he rushed over in joy. "From this day forward, you'll be our recycling pup! I can't think of many scenarios off the top of my head where you'll be called on, but I knew this role would be perfect for you."
"Perfect isn't a big enough word to describe this!" Rocky exclaimed, pressing the start button out of impulse and almost hitting Chase by accident. He yipped when it went right in front of him, and Rocky panicked when getting up, hoping he didn't hit him. While he was glad he didn't, he still felt awful for almost doing so. "Chase, I am so, sorry!"
"I'm okay Rocky." Chase assured Rocky after laughing off the incident, knowing that Rocky was just excited. However, he also didn't want him to risk getting into any accidents. "Just try to contain yourself when getting used to this thing, okay? I know I've never said it before, but when it comes to driving, safety first, fun second."
Rocky nodded his head yes as Zuma started praising Rocky's truck when he got a good look at it. "This is pewfect for you Wocky! Just imagine the things you can make with all the stuff you can put in this thing!" Rocky smiled in glee as Zuma pointed out the forklift arms. "And it has awms too!? I didn't know twucks could do that!"
"Those are called forklift arms Zuma." Rocky explained, glad that Zuma liked his new truck as much as he did. "I think Ryder put those on there so I could lift up things that are too heavy for anything else." Rocky then addressed Ryder, being eternally grateful for the truck. "Thank you so much Ryder! I love this thing!"
"Not a problem Rocky." Ryder assured Rocky, and then he continued on with the surprise. "And for part two of the surprise, you'll get to drive this thing for the first time."
Skye didn't want Zuma to forget about his surprise, so she used this as a chance to add to what Ryder said. "Your surprise is down by the beach."
Zuma excitedly hopped into Rocky's truck after Skye mentioned that, hopping into the passenger seat and hi pawing Rocky as he announced that he was ready. "Then let's dive in!"
"That's the plan. Also, cool catchphrase Zuma." Ryder responded, making Zuma smile at the unconditional praise. It was small, but like always, it really helped to make his day.
Zuma and the others were heading down to the beach with Zuma waiting in immense anticipation for his part of the surprise. Zuma was wearing a blindfold, and Chase was helping to guide him to what his surprise was. Zuma could barely contain himself, as he just knew this was going to be something great. Ryder stood across from him when he gave him the go ahead. "You can take off your blindfold now Zuma!"
Zuma took his blindfold off without hesitation, and was amazed by what he saw in front of him. "No way!" What Zuma saw in front of him was an orange hovercraft. Like Rocky with his recycling truck, Ryder design this especially for Zuma, responding to his speech impediment and all. Zuma ran over to the hovercraft in joy, hugging Ryder after jumping up into his arms. "Thank you, thank you, thank you! Is it weally for me!?"
"Gifted, and designed." Ryder informed Zuma, taking him over to the driver's seat to help him get in.
Richie was revealed to be putting some finishing touches on the voice modifier when Zuma hopped in. "Perfect timing Zuma. I was just adding something to the speaker that would guarantee proper responses to your commands."
Zuma saw that Richie added a feature that would show who was driving it. When it showed Richie, he instantly got the idea. "That's so cool! Thanks Wichie!"
"Anytime Zuma." Richie replied as he rubbed Zuma's head, hopping out of the hovercraft as he reminded Zuma of one more thing. "Just don't forget that one of the reasons we gave this to you was so you could help the people of Adventure Bay."
"Never planned on fowgetting it!" Zuma assured Richie, and then he looked down at Rocky, who ran over to the driver's seat side. "My vewy own hovewcwaft Wocky! Now I can go out as far into the sea as I want!"
Chase and Skye came over as Chase gave some extra insight into the limits of the Hovercraft. "Don't overestimate it's power Zuma. It's powerful, but it's not a reinforced pirate ship. You could get flung off and sent straight into the water if you end up falling asleep in it during some heavy waves."
Zuma saw Chase's point, and Skye then encouraged Zuma to give his new hovercraft a shot. "Why don't you go out into the water right now and test it?"
Zuma got excited again and looked at Ryder, who gave him a thumbs up with some extra instructions. "Just don't go too far."
Zuma couldn't wait to test his new hovercraft, assuring Ryder that he'd listen. "You got it Wyder!"
"Hey; that's MY line." Chase shot at Zuma, who laughed a bit before he got his hovercraft engine started. He was more than excited to see how this puppy controlled on the open water.
Zuma was driving his hovercraft out on the sea, where it was revealed to be a beautiful, calm day for the ocean. He loved the feel of this new ride of his, confident that it could give him a relaxing, or fun, ride on the water whenever he wanted. He even saw a dolphin jump up and greet him with a friendly wave, which made him gaze in awe. He loved dolphins more than any other animal, but he never imagined he'd see one in person. He couldn't resist waving to the Dolphin himself, not wanting to miss an opportunity to talk to one. "Hey there dolphin dude!"
The dolphin chirped for Zuma before swimming off, leaving Zuma amazed that he finally got to see his favorite animal in person. He then turned on his Pup-Phone to take a picture, being extra careful not to drop it as he snapped a quick photo of the dolphin. After doing so, he sent the photo to his friends, knowing they'd love the sight of this.
Zuma then got a look at all of the buttons on his hovercraft after turning back to rejoin the others. "These must be the buttons Wyder gave me to help others with." Zuma smiled when he came to that conclusion, knowing that he would do everything in his power to make his position on the team worth while. "I hope I can put them all to good use!"
After Zuma got back to shore, he and Rocky stored their new vehicles in the garage with Chase and Skye's. Rocky and Zuma still couldn't believe they were actual rescue dogs now. Before they could have fun however, Ryder got a call from Captain Turbot, which he answered as soon as he got the call. "Hi Captain Turbot.
"Hi Ryder! Ya think the Paw Patrol could come over and lend me a paw or two?" Captain Turbot requested, showing Ryder the problem after doing so. "I accidentally knocked out the big light for the lighthouse. I'd screw it back in myself, but you know how I am with being careful."
"Not a problem Captain Turbot." Ryder assured Captain Turbot, knowing how important the lighthouse light was. "No job is too big, no pup is too small!" Ryder hung up, looking to Rocky and Zuma for an idea he had in mind for them. "Something tells me you two just got an opportunity to try out your new stuff. You think you're up for your first rescue?" Rocky and Zuma looked at each other with highly excited smiles.
Their first official day on the team, and they were already given a chance to help out. They couldn't think of any reason to say no. And they looked at Ryder with assurance of this fact. "You can count on us Ryder!"
"Great! I'll meet you all at the top floor then. You'll get geared up in the elevator." Ryder explained, and then he and the others heading on ahead to start the briefing before they got there. Zuma couldn't believe it. He was actually about to have an official Paw Patrol mission! He was so excited he could barely contain himself.
After the briefing, Rocky and Zuma headed over to Captain Turbot's lighthouse with Ryder, and were currently working on getting the light fixed as efficiently as possible. Zuma made sure to hold the ladder so Rocky didn't fall off, and also so he could make all the precise movements he needed to ensure the light's stability. Even though the mission was small compared to what he'd seen before, Zuma couldn't be happier. He couldn't believe how well things were for him after all he'd been through. He even laughed a bit at how much he went through before getting here.
Rocky smiled when he heard Zuma laugh, always getting a kick out of him being happy. "What's on your mind Zuma?"
"I'm just so happy to be on the team now." Zuma admitted, expressing to Rocky just how happy all of this made him. "I didn't even know I wanted to be on the Paw Patwol, but now that I'm here, it feels better than anything I could've ever wanted. Besides being a famous musician of course."
Rocky felt the same amount of accomplishment Zuma did. It made him even happier since they joined the team together. "I know what you mean. Ryder mentioned making me a member before, but I was never entirely sure. And Richie was always against it because I'd have to face Charm if I did." Rocky put the finishing touches on the light controls, pressing a button that kept it all in place. "Who thought one time helping against my brother would've sealed the deal."
Zuma laughed at the irony of that as Rocky started to come down. As they went over to the controls, Zuma admitted something about the scenario. It sounded kind of dumb now that he thought about it. "I was scawed Wyder was gonna kick me out of Adventuwe Bay."
"Why's that?" Rocky asked out of curiosity while making sure the controls were all labeled accordingly.
"My time in Bloodfweak's gang ended that way." Zuma explained, opening up to Rocky about everything that happened that day. "Paleclaw got cownered duwing a heist we had in an awt exhibit. I had a chance to escape, and Bloodfweak told me to leave them. No way I was letting THAT happen." Rocky turned the light on, handing Zuma some shades and putting his on alongside him as he continued his story. Once the light came on, they hi pawed as Zuma finished his story. "I saved Paleclaw by thwowing the vase at the guawd's head and knocking him out."
Rocky thought about Bloodfreak's story, having a bit of insight on why that happened. "I think he might've also been mad about something he could've gotten money for being broken." Zuma shrugged in response, figuring that Rocky must be right about that. "But he had no reason to kick you out for helping a teammate."
"No kidding. But I'm glad he did now." Zuma admitted, and Ryder was on the outside of the lamp room, leaning on the wall as he overheard Rocky and Zuma talking with a smile. "If he didn't, we would've never met."
"Hehe. No counterarguments there. A perfect tradeoff!" Rocky responded, and Ryder looked ahead with a proud smile on his face over how Rocky and Zuma had joined the team. Not only did they work wonderfully together, but Ryder now knew for certain that he was able to give Zuma a home, and a life, that makes him happy.
After the mission, Zuma was getting excited for the last day of the Pride Month Carnival, looking over his song one last time in his new room. He loved this environment compared to the couch; not that he disliked the couch in the Lookout. His bed was much comfier, and it made trying to get comfortable during song brainstorming a lot easier. He could also have a much easier time thinking about Rocky without risking him finding out too soon. After everything that happened with Nicky, Zuma knew he couldn't ask Rocky to be his boyfriend right now.
Zuma seemed quite satisfied with how the song went, putting it away before hopping off of his bed and heading on over to his closet. In there lied his guitar, which was a much safer place to store it than the garage. He took it and opened it up, making sure it was perfectly tuned for the show. No way he could risk missing a single beat with this song. His first time playing in front of a life audience had to be something he, and everyone in Adventure Bay, remembered for the right reasons.
Once he had his guitar and song ready, Zuma left his room and went into the living room to find Chase and Skye eating lunch in the living room. Zuma saw that it was pizza and was quick to call them out for eating without him once he smirked. "Oh; you two did NOT stawt eating pizza without me!"
"We didn't want to interrupt your artistic process. Eat as much as you want before we leave." Chase advised Zuma, who happily took two pepperoni slices before sitting down.
Skye took another slice of pizza before letting Zuma know something about performing she learned sometime ago. "Make sure you only eat enough to have a full stomach. You don't wanna risk anything unwanted happening on stage."
"Noted. Thanks Skye." Zuma started chowing down on the pizza while also making sure he didn't eat it too quickly. He knew that eating too fast was another way gas built up inside of you at a rate more quickly than intended. And as much as Zuma wanted to get to the Pride Day carnival as fast as possible, he didn't want to risk that happening during his show.
After lunch, Zuma and the others were at the Pride Day carnival with Zuma having his sight caught by the Hit the Bell game. He hadn't gotten a chance to do that yet, and he got Rocky's attention to see if he was up for it too. "I don't think we've done that one yet. Wanna give it a twy?"
Rocky saw what Zuma was pointing to and figured that it could be a fun time. "We did say we'd do everything. You guys wanna do it too?"
"Sure, but feel too bad after I dunk on you." Chase responded, leaving Rocky and Zuma to give smiling eye rolls as everyone headed on over to the game.
Zuma gave the tickets for his turn and picked up the mallet he'd be using for the game. It was a struggle at first, but he managed to get a good enough grip on it to hold it over his shoulder and prepare for a big smash. Rocky looked at the target, and then at the thing on the catapult thing, before looking up at the bell. While Zuma couldn't make the calculations needed, Rocky was confident he could hit the bell no problem. And once Zuma was ready, he brought the hammer over his shoulder and smashed it hard on the target, rising it up at a decent pace.
The bell barely hit the bell, amazing Zuma when he heard the ding and looked up. He was ecstatic, running over to Rocky to tell him what he just did. "Did you see that Wocky!? I did it on my fiwst twy! That bell had nothing on me!"
"I never doubted you for a second!" Rocky replied, being just as ecstatic about the victory as Zuma was. Zuma accepted his prize, a Legend of Kion plushie of Kion himself, as Rocky commented on how great the day was going so far. "We seem to be winning on all angles today!"
"I wouldn't bet on that lasting for long." Chase recommended as he walked over to the hammer after paying for his turn. He then picked up the mallet, having much less trouble at picking it up than Zuma did.
Zuma looked to Skye, who explained how Chase was able to do it so easily. "Chase works out and trains by himself a lot. I'm sure you've seen him go into the training room at some points."
Zuma nodded his head yes to show that he remembered seeing that, and then he saw Chase get the mallet ready with the others. He slammed it down as hard as he could, managing to get it up to the bell at a much faster pace than Zuma did. After doing so, he turned to Zuma and smirked while flexing one of his arms. Zuma retaliated by smirking before pulling one of his bottom eyelids down and sticking his tongue out at him. The others couldn't help laughing at this exchange. It was clear that this friendly rivalry wasn't one that was going to go away.
Zuma and the others were now on the ferris wheel, where Rocky and Zuma were sitting together on one of the seats. The two of them were talking about life as Zuma started thinking about how this past month has affected him. "To think I went fwom stealing Chase's caw to getting my own hovercwaft!"
"Tell me about it. Phenomenal progress." Rocky replied, and the ferris wheel moved their seat up by one as he expressed his own thoughts on how the month went. "I never would've thought I'd end up becoming a Paw Patrol member after everything that's happened."
Rocky and Zuma smiled at each other as Zuma tried to think of how to word something on his mind. "Yeah. About that." He didn't want to come off too direct, but he also didn't want this to be kept in the dark for too long. He felt that this moment of privacy was the best chance he had. "Do you think you'll stawt dating anytime soon?"
Rocky didn't expect that, and he saw that Zuma was genuine with the patient and curious look in his eyes. That told him he could answer honestly. "I think I'm gonna wait a while before I get back into the field." Zuma respected that, and what Rocky said next as the ferris wheel moved up again was why he did. "I still wanna get married and maybe have a family one day, but I think I should focus on myself for now. Get used to my new spot on the team and stuff like that."
Rocky smiled at Zuma before looking away while admitting to something else. "I also want to know for sure I'm ready next time."
"Totally makes sense. Go in too fast, things can get too wild." Zuma agreed as the ferris wheel moved again. Now, he and Rocky were at the top, and they could get a clear view of Adventure Bay. "Hey! Check out this view!"
Rocky saw an opportunity and quickly took out his phone, making sure not to drop it as he gave Zuma the idea. He wasn't sure how Zuma felt about stuff like this, even with their closeness, so he was a little nervous when doing it. "Selfie?" Zuma gave a thumbs up and scooted right over to Rocky, who gave a thumbs up in the photo. Zuma stuck his tongue out and closed one of his eyes for the photo. When they looked at it, the ferris wheel moved again, and they found themselves smiling widely at how good it looked.
Zuma wrapped his arm around Rocky, who felt at ease with Zuma giving him what was essentially a one arm hug. He was still shaken up from what happened before, but being around Zuma was what he needed to look past that and enjoy his life.
After the ferris wheel, Zuma was taking some time at the beach to reflect on all that's happened, managing to find the very spot where Rocky and Richie saved him from Marley. This past month had been a lot more eventful than he thought it would be. It was one thing to have gained a home with friends who love him. But learning of his allergy to peanuts, reuniting with Paleclaw, discovering new interests, helping Rocky escape from Nicky, and finally being allowed to embrace his love for music whenever he wanted, made this a month he'd never forget.
As Zuma looked out over the ocean, he heard Rocky speak up from behind him. "You okay Zuma?"
Zuma looked back and saw Rocky, being happy to see him when letting him sit down next to him. "Yeah, I'm okay Wocky. Just thinking about all I've been thwough since I came to Adventuwe Bay."
"All happy thoughts I hope." Rocky joked, despite knowing of the hard times involved as well. Zuma did a so-so sign before laughing with Rocky, who appreciated his honesty. "It's kind of crazy. My break up with Nicky is what lead to us finding each other and becoming closer than I ever could've imagined upon first glance." Rocky looked at Zuma when he addressed how unexpected that was. "Isn't that ironic?"
Zuma laughed a bit before acknowledging the truth in Rocky's words. "Tell me about it." Zuma then expressed concerns about that when looking back out towards the ocean. "After I was sepawated fwom my pawents... I never thought I'd be happy again. Even duwing lights of hope, I'd either have it taken away fwom me, or not feel like I belonged. This is the fiwst time in thwee years I feel like I belong." Zuma looked at Rocky, showing a desire to protect his home and keep everything he loved from it in his life at all costs. "I don't want to lose that."
Rocky smiled and placed a paw on Zuma's shoulder, sharing that same desire in his own way. "Well we're in the Paw Patrol now. Maybe that's a sign Adventure Bay was meant to be your new home."
"That's assuming God DOES exist." Zuma responded with a sly grin, subtly hinting at his religious beliefs before looking back over the sea with Rocky. Zuma's smile showed that he finally found his home, and that made him as happy as he could possibly be.
A series of flashbacks began, starting with Rocky offering Zuma a paw after he and Richie saved him from Marley, which he happily accepted. The second flashback was of Zuma playing his guitar for Rocky on the day they met, after he confirmed he liked his music. The next flashback had Zuma eating with the others at Mr Porter's diner, where he learned his peanut allergy wasn't a curse. Next, we saw him giving a sheepish grin to Chase after having been caught stealing his car. After that, he was singing in the mall about using his speech impediment in Calm-Ten.
The sixth flashback had Zuma confiding with Rocky about his parents after having been brought back to the Lookout after moving away. Then, Zuma was being assisted by Skye and Rocky in finding hobbies around Adventure Bay. That was followed up by him playing pirates with the others at the pool. And then, his first party... before the poop thing. He was then shown listening to Rocky's story about how he came to Adventure Bay. That was followed up by the time Rocky telling him about Charm.
After that, the camping trip was shown with Zuma having his nature walk with Rocky. Then, Zuma was playing with his friends at the beach, where he was shown surfing before getting his injuries patched up by his friends. He was then shown singing during the desert trip as he and Rocky sang their duet about how things were going with them as of late. The next flashback was during the intervention, where Zuma and the others were comforting Rocky after he opened up about Nicky. That was followed up by him and Rocky walking away from a tied up Nicky in the shack.
The last set of flashbacks began with Zuma at the cemetery with Ryder, where he saluted his deceased army parents with him. Then, Rocky and Zuma were shown having their pretend wedding, where they realized their feelings for each other. After that, it was the first day at the Pride Month Carnival, where they were all having a blast. The second to last flashback showed Zuma hugging Rocky after he was safe from Nicky. The last flashback showed him and Rocky heading off to save the others from Charm on the Jet-Ski.
The set of flashbacks ended with Zuma crying tears of joy, which worried Rocky until he saw that Zuma was smiling. He then checked his phone to see what time it was, and he found that it was almost time for Zuma's solo. He nudged him gently while reminding him of the event. "Zuma, we have to go! Your show is in five minutes!"
"Five minutes!?" Zuma asked in surprise, wiping his tears off before running off with Rocky to get to his solo on time. He didn't think anyone in town would be mad if he was fashionably late, but he wasn't gonna risk it. He wanted to be on time; both to avoid keeping them waiting, and to make his first solo one to remember forever.
Zuma was walking up stage with his paws shown going up the steps, and his upper body was then shown as he went to the mic, which he adjusted to properly match his height. After doing so, he looked over the crowd, which consisted of everyone in Adventure Bay. He saw Ryder smiling at him, and Richie did the same while nodding. Chase and Skye were also watching with excitement to see how well Zuma would do. Rocky gave Zuma a smiling thumbs up, and the sight of Rocky in the crowd made Zuma the most happy. Even though he always played for him.
Zuma then started speaking into the mic, still being a little nervous. "Hello evewyone. My name is Zuma Thowne. I've never played on stage before today." He then chuckled a bit before apologizing in advance. "Anyway... sowwy of this sucks!" Zuma looked away for a bit while holding his guitar and smiled with nothing to lose. "Scwew it." Zuma started playing with two solo strums, and then he started playing an upbeat and motivational tune for the crowd to hear.
Zuma then started singing, sharing a little song he made for the crowd called Let's Find Our Home. "Life can take sudden tuwns, with lots to give. You can't always be pwepared, for the inceptive." Zuma placed some more and allowed the music to speak for himself before singing again. "Though sometimes life can be unfaiw, you can still fight. You can find where you belong, no matter if it's day or night."
Zuma was really getting into the groove of his song with the next batch of lyrics he had ready. "And the world seems to be... open to all, so; let's find our home! Come on, I'll help ya!" Rocky, Chase, and Skye were shown getting into the mood of Zuma's song as well. "Let's find our home!" Zuma then looked up to the sky during the next lyrics. "I'm not gonna let this world bweak ya!" Ryder and Richie were shown clapping to the beat of Zuma's song, which was most appreciated. "Let's find our home!"
Zuma started swaying his butt from left to right during the next lyrics of his song. "We'll never stop looking, you and me!" He then stopped when he sang the next bit of lyrics. "Let's find our home! Let's find where we're destined, to, be!"
Zuma played for a little longer, and Rocky cheered for him from the crowd. "Keep playing Zuma! You're on point!"
Zuma smiled with gratitude in response to Rocky's cheering, and he then got back to singing. "We'll never give up, we'll show that we can still fight. We'll find where we belong, no matter if it's day or night." Zuma played a strum right before singing the next part. "Tomowwow's a new day." And then another strum before singing the next part. "The world seems to be... open to all, so; let's find our home!"
Paleclaw was shown to be roaming the forest in a search for their own home as Zuma's music was heard over the scene. "Come on, I'll help ya!" Paleclaw looked up to the sky and smiled, feeling that Zuma was living the best life he possibly could back in Adventure Bay. They couldn't be happier for him. "Let's find our home! I'm not gonna let this world bweak ya!"
Zuma was shown to be having the time of his life while singing his song and playing his guitar for the now pumped up crowd. "Let's find our home! We'll never stop looking, you and me!" Zuma even shed a tear of joy as he sang the last part of his song, showing that he felt fulfilled and truly at home in Adventure Bay. "Let's find our home! Let's find where we're destined, to, be!"
And with that, Zuma played the final strum on his guitar, and when he stopped, his song came to a close. The crowd started cheering for Zuma, showing immense admiration for his music. His singing and guitar playing brought several positive emotions to everyone in Adventure Bay. Zuma looked around and saw how much value everyone got in his performance. His first time performing on stage, and everyone loved it. Chase, Skye, Ryder, Richie, Katie, Diane, everyone. Zuma could hardly believe it. Then he looked to where Rocky was in the crowd.
Rocky was making his way to the front of the crowd, climbing up onto the stage to congratulate Zuma in person. "That was amazing Zuma! It was every bit as incredible that I'd ever expect from you!"
Zuma giggled a bit, glad that his song managed to get the reception that it did. Rocky loving it especially brought warmth to his heart. "Thanks Wocky. I didn't think my fiwst show would do so well."
"Well I never doubted you for a second." Rocky told Zuma, and then he began expressing the wonders of a loving community, which he started thinking about thanks to Zuma's song. "You really have made an impact on Adventure Bay. Just like you have with me since you got here." Zuma was surprised to hear that, and Rocky assured him it was true. "Don't act so surprised Zuma. The moment Richie and I saved you from those bullies was the best decision I ever made. I do have one question though." Zuma allowed Rocky to ask what was on his mind.
"Are you certain you want to live in Adventure Bay?"
Zuma didn't even have to think about that, and his face showed that he was surprised Rocky even needed to ask that. However, Zuma knew Rocky would wait as long as he had to for an honest answer. And so, he smiled when looking at him, and his smiling face was all that was shown as he responded. "I'm as suwe as the ocean is blue!"
Zuma's First Month ended with an illustration of Zuma smiling after giving this answer.
The adventures of the pups, including Zuma, continue in the main story: Paw Patrol X.
