With Sonic and Penny; the two arrived back at the museum their camping group was at and were hiding the electronics they bought in the vehicle.
"That everything?" said Sonic.
Penny looked at a list she had.
"Yes." said Penny.
"Good, now let's get back in the museum pronto before someone realizes we're not in there." said Sonic.
The two snuck over to the museum before listening to a radio announcement.
"In other news, Tabitha Blaine, daughter of United States Military General Blaine was kidnapped today by a gang of crooks, her whereabouts are still unknown at the time, but the crooks have promised her safe return on the condition that they receive a hefty amount of money." a voice from a radio said.
The two friends stopped in their tracks.
"Well this just got more interesting." Said Sonic.
"Are we going to find this woman and save her?" said Penny.
Sonic scoffed.
"As if. The last thing I want is for the United States government to capture me and see what makes me tick." said Sonic.
Penny nodded.
"Considering your specialties, I wouldn't blame you." said Penny.
She pulled out her iPad and Sonic sighed.
"You're going to find out where she is, aren't you?" said Sonic.
"Yes I am." said Penny.
Sonic shook his head.
"This whole thing might bowl over eventually, such as the military general showing up with a whole bunch of tanks to save his daughter, completely ignoring the amounts of damage he might end up doing to save her." said Sonic.
"Well at least my Uncle Gadget won't get word of what I'm doing in this summer." said Penny.
"Good point." said Sonic.
Then a golf ball landed close to him and Sonic noticed it before picking it up.
"Boy, people who golf on the roof of their buildings really need to watch over this stuff much better." said Sonic.
He then started doing a spin dash before tossing the ball away, making it fly far away.
In another part of the country; a younger Oliver Chen was doing some research in a ghost book when the same golf ball hit him in the head really hard, knocking him to the ground as he screamed in pain.
Ollie got up groaning and saw the golf ball before picking it up and looked around the place.
"CURSE YOU SCARY GHOSTS!" yelled Ollie.
The flashback ended as a record scratching sound was heard.
"Wait a minute." said Ollie's voice.
Back in the present a shocked Ollie had appeared with Molly and Scratch.
"You're the reason a golf ball hit me in the head all those years ago when I was in Chicago?" said Ollie.
Sonic was shocked.
"Yeesh." said Sonic, "And I was in Oregon at the time."
Interview Gag
First was Molly and Ollie.
"Sonic was camping in Oregon during those years and you were in Chicago Illinois?" said Molly, "How'd you even survive such a golf ball attack?"
"I have no idea. So glad it wasn't a bowling ball though." said Ollie.
Next was a very surprised Sonic.
"Ok I did not expect that." He said.
Lastly was Scratch.
"Whoa, how did someone survive such a thing?" said Scratch.
End Interview Gag
"Oregon?" said Molly.
"Yeah we were very far away from where Ollie was at." said Penny.
Molly nodded.
"That's actually very impressive." said Molly.
"Try surviving the Penance stare from Ghost Rider." said Sonic.
"Have you?" said Molly.
Sonic scoffed.
"As if. I never even met the guy." said Sonic.
"Smart move." said Penny.
Back in the story; Sonic and Penny were walking around the city as Penny was looking at a map on her iPad.
She grinned.
"We're almost there." said Penny.
"I'd hope so. If we get more involved in this than we need to be, the government will be on us." said Sonic, "And your uncle will know about you constantly getting yourself involved in his MAD based missions."
"He'll never notice." said Penny.
"Keep people in the dark to much, you'll be discovered eventually." said Sonic.
"That'll be a while." said Penny.
The two stopped in front of the same building the thugs were in.
"Here we are." said Penny.
Sonic looked at the building and shook his head.
"Nope, I ain't going in there." said Sonic.
"Oh come on." said Penny.
"We're talking about saving the daughter of someone who might have political connections." said Sonic.
"We'll be fine." said Penny.
Sonic smiled.
"We always make it out of trouble. We're basically the Houdini's of Karma." said Sonic.
"Karma Houdini." said Penny.
The two looked at the building and Sonic noticed an air vent before tapping Penny's shoulder and pointed at the air vent.
"Nice find." said Penny.
The two walked over to the vent and Sonic helped Penny into it.
The hedgehog leaped into the vent.
"I am the king of pure awesomeness." said Sonic.
"Of course you are." said Penny.
Back in reality; Axel was confused.
"You couldn't be that awesome." said Axel.
Sonic shook his head.
"Girl, I destroyed an entire fucking moon with a combination of my super form and cyber corruption I got as a result of the Sonic Frontiers video game, don't try to contradict me." said Sonic.
Axel was very shocked by what she heard.
"And I didn't need a Crunchyroll account to see Dragonball Z to pull that off." said Sonic.
"Crunchyroll?" said Axel.
"Streaming platform that specializes in anime." said Penny.
"Even One Punch Man?" said Scott.
"No that can be viewed on Netflix." said Sonic.
Axel is mad.
"Why I oughta-"Axel said before being electrocuted by Roger and passed out on the floor.
The meerkat electrocuted her again and she was still passed out.
"Continue with the story." said Roger.
Back in the story; Sonic and Penny were crawling through the air vents.
"Do you know where we're going?" Said Sonic.
Penny was looking at her iPad and saw a radar of her and Sonic crawling through the air vents.
"Hardly, this is my first time in this place." Said Penny.
Sonic nodded.
"I hear that." Said Sonic.
"Why is it so spacious in here? I kinda figured that air vents would actually be very cramped." Said Penny.
"Those movies lied to us." Said Sonic.
"Do I even want to know what you've seen?" said Penny.
"That Power Rangers film from 2017 which I'm one hundred percent certain won't get a sequel for starters." said Sonic.
"Same." said Penny.
The two stopped at one part of the air vent.
They looked inside and saw that it was a security monitoring room.
"Huh, how convenient." Said Sonic.
Penny pushed the panel down before pulling it up into the air vent.
The two poked their heads down and looked around.
The two climbed out of the air vent and landed in the room before approaching the monitors.
"Hopefully we'll see which room that girl is in." said Penny.
"We'd better." said Sonic.
The two inspected each monitor.
"How're we supposed to find where this girl is?" said Sonic.
"I don't know and we can't go to the Police for help or call my Uncle." spoke Penny.
Sonic then noticed one monitor and pointed to it.
"There." said Sonic.
Penny saw it.
It was security footage of the same girl the crooks captured in an empty room.
"That's got to be Tabitha Blane." said Sonic.
Penny nodded.
"Must be." said Penny.
"If we encounter any resistance, then it's a good thing that I'm the brawn of the two of us." said Sonic.
"Oh yeah." said Penny.
The two looked at the monitor some more.
"It kinda looks like she's in a room with a fridge." Said Sonic.
Penny looked at the control's to find out the exact room the closed circuit camera was in.
"We'd better get back in the air vents and keep on crawling through." said Sonic.
He jumped into the vents.
"Fifth floor." said Penny.
Sonic pulled her into the air vents.
"Onward." Said Penny.
The two continued to crawl through the vents.
