In another room in the building; the same kidnapped girl was sitting in the room looking bored and eating a corn dog.
She looked around the place.
"Okay then, this is really boring." said the girl.
She sighed.
She then heard some sounds coming from the air vents.
"Huh?" said the woman.
Part of the ceiling opened up and Sonic and Penny climbed out of it and onto the ground.
The girl was confused.
"What the?" said the woman.
"This the room?" said Penny.
"Must be, there's only one girl in here and a fridge." said Sonic.
He opened the fridge and looked in it before becoming annoyed.
"What, no A and W root beer?" said Sonic.
He closed the fridge.
"Uh, who the heck are you two?" said the woman.
The two turned to the woman.
"I'm Batman." Sonic said in a deep voice.
The woman just glared at Sonic.
"I don't think so, I was picturing him giving off some Bruce Wayne vibes." said the woman.
"We're here to rescue you." said Penny.
The woman scoffed.
"You, rescue me? As if. If even one of you has great fighting skills, I'll reconsider." said the woman.
Then the door opened up and one of the thugs appeared and saw the group before becoming mad.
"HEY!" yelled the thug.
Sonic ran to the thug and beat him up greatly before he could draw out a pistol.
The hedgehog then kicked the thug into a wall, knocking him out as the woman became shocked.
"I've just reconsidered." said the woman.
"Good to know." said Sonic.
The group looked out the room and snuck out.
"You think we should have left that guy in the room knocked out?" said the woman.
"He'll be fine. Won't he Sonic?" said Penny.
"Oh yeah, totally." said Sonic.
The knocked out thug was tied up and dangling upside down over a tub full of month old raw chicken.
Back with Sonic, Penny, and the woman; they were sneaking around the place.
The three stopped at one corner and looked down it.
"All clear." said Penny.
The group walked down the hallway.
A door opened and someone came out humming.
He walked by the hiding group before stopping and leaned against the wall.
Sonic snuck up behind him and karate chopped him in the neck, knocking him out.
"I'm awesome." said Sonic.
"Of course you are." said Penny.
The girl was confused.
"What are you anyways?" said the woman.
"Would you believe Curtis Armstrong?" said Sonic.
The woman nodded yes.
"That I'd buy." said the woman.
"I should be glad that I haven't seen Revenge of the Nerds yet." said Penny.
Back in the present; everyone else was confused.
"Revenge of the Nerds?" said Hailey.
"It's a series of collage based comedies from the eighties revolving around a group of bullied nerds who decide to get even with the jocks of their collage." said Sonic.
"And Curtis Armstrong fits there how?" said Hailey.
"He's one of the nerd characters in the films, a disgusting character who calls himself Booger and enjoys trying to get into women's pants. The made for TV films have him apparently graduating and getting a high paying job." said Roger.
Everyone looked at the meerkat.
"I lie about my age on each of my streaming accounts." said Roger.
"Even the Disney Plus account?" said Scott.
"Even the Disney Plus account. But who cares, there's only like three R rated films on that platform." said Roger.
"That's actually a pretty valid argument." said Beta.
Scott nodded.
"Fair enough." said Scott.
Back in the story; Sonic, Penny, and the woman were still sneaking around the building.
They then bumped into a sleeping guard.
The sleeping guard grunted a bit but stayed asleep.
Sonic smiled and Penny sighed but the girl sneezed causing the guard to wake but looked around and shrugged and fell back to sleep.
The group snuck away again.
But Sonic returned with a teddy bear from Build a Bear Workshop and put the bear in the guards arms and walked off again.
"Thank you Santa Hedgehog!" the guard spoke.
Sonic sighed in relief.
"Wait Santa Hedgehog?" Scott's voice is heard.
Back in the present.
"Yeah, apparently in another universe I end up becoming Santa Claus." said Sonic.
Beta is flabbergasted.
"You're kidding right?" said Beta.
"Nope, check out the Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog universe." said Sonic.
Beta nodded.
"I'll do that when I get a chance." said Beta.
"Bullshit." said Sonic.
Beta looked at Sonic.
"How can you be sure?" said Beta.
"Because the co author makes empty promises like that, just like Belos and politicians." said Sonic.
Beta scoffed.
"Politicians aren't that corrupt." said Beta.
"What about everything happening with Donald Trump lately?" said Roger.
Beta realized that.
"Right, that guy." Said Beta.
Back in the story.
Sonic looked around and smiled.
"Boy, that guard was a heavy sleeper." Said Sonic.
"Tell me about it." Said Penny.
The girl smiled.
"Dang, you two must do stuff like this all the time." Said the woman.
"We prefer to work incognito." Said Sonic.
"Why incognito?" said the woman.
"It's summer time, we don't want our camp counselors to know about what we're doing, and Penny here doesn't want her uncle to get wind of what's been going on." said Sonic.
The woman became confused.
"Uncle?" said the woman.
She looked at Penny and realized something.
"I thought I recognized you, you're that girl who's always in those news reports of that cybernetic cop who always foils those schemes by that Mad terrorist organization." said the woman.
Penny blushed nervously.
"Yep, that's who I am." said Penny.
The woman then looked at Sonic.
"And you, why do you seem familiar?" said the woman.
Sonic did some thinking before pulling out a Sega Genesis copy of the original Sonic the Hedgehog video game.
The woman gasped.
"A ten year old has been around since 1991?" said the woman.
"And how." said Sonic.
"You must have been famous." said the woman.
Sonic chuckled.
"Stinking famous." said Sonic.
"This one time, he apparently fought a being powered by space and time that was controlled by his arch nemesis from two different points in time." said Penny.
The woman whistled.
"Dang." said the woman.
"Could have been worse, I could end up fighting giant robots known as Titans on a strange set of unknown islands." said Sonic.
Everyone looked at the hedgehog.
"It could happen." said Sonic.
Just then a guard appeared.
"Well we'll look who…." He started but a Gorilla came and started to maul him. "AHHH A GORILLA!"
The group chuckled.
"Looks like I'm going to have to start viewing Chris Rock films again." said Sonic.
"That didn't happen did it?" asked Beta's Voice.
A smacking sound was heard.
"OWW!" yelled Beta's voice.
"No interrupting the story when it's being told you buffoon." said Sonic's voice.
A chuckling sound was heard.
"It's not so great when you're the one being called a buffoon, isn't it?" said Scott's voice.
The story continued as the Gorilla was attacking the guard.
"Should we help?" asked the Girl.
"No, no, this is very entertaining." said Sonic.
"SOMEONE HELP ME!" yelled the goon.
"WHATS GOING ON!" A Voice yelled.
Everyone turned and saw who shouted.
It was the lead thug.
"You've got to be kidding me." said the woman.
"Like you would have gotten away from me that easily." said the thug.
The Lead Thug saw the Gorilla and groaned.
"NOT THE GORILLA AGAIN!" yelled the lead Thug. "THIS IS THE THIRD TIME THIS HAPPENED!"
Sonic and Penny looked at each other confused.
"Third time?" said Penny.
The Lead thug nodded.
"Yeah, we are next door to a Zoo!" he said Calmly.
"That Zoo needs better ways to keep that Gorilla from escaping!" spoke The Girl.
"I know right, it's super weird that this has happened!" spoke the Lead Thug. "Now then, YOUR GOING BACK TO YOUR CELL!"
The girl is mad.
"My dad and Mom will never pay you to have me returned." She said.
Then an explosion happened as a hole was blown in the wall, shocking the group.
"What was that?" Said Sonic.
The group looked out the hole and saw a whole bunch of military vehicles including a tank that a man was sitting on top of.
He pulled out a megaphone and spoke into it.
"Attention thugs in the building, come out with my daughter unharmed, or someone will get hurt." Said the soldier.
The girl smiled happily.
"DADDY!" the woman yelled.
Sonic and Penny both became shocked and looked at each other.
"Daddy?" The two said at once.
Back in the present; everyone was shocked.
"So that girl's father showed up with the entire national guard to save her?" Said Axel.
"Even the Marines showed up." Said Sonic.
"So what happened afterwards?" Said Molly.
"Oh we did the most logical thing we could at the moment. Cut our losses, left the place before we could be spotted by the military and press, and returned to the museum just as everyone at summer camp got on the bus." Said Penny.
Everyone is shocked.
"You just left without being noticed?" Said Hailey.
"Yes, we didn't really see what happened afterwards, but the next day we read an article online about the incident. The girl said nothing about our involvement due to respecting Penny not wanting Inspector Gadget to find out about it." Said Sonic.
Everyone whistled.
"Wow, that's nuts." Said Roger.
"If my uncle found out about all the things I've done to help him on his missions since I was ten, I'd be more of a target to Dr Claw then Uncle Gadget is." Said Penny.
"She's got to protect herself." Said Sonic.
Everyone nodded.
"That's a good reason." Said Hailey.
"Anyways, how'd you figure out about what she told the press?" said Scott.
Sonic and Penny looked at each other.
