It didn't take long for Pollie to get there. In fact, maybe it was less than fifteen minutes.
She walked in the shop, opening up the door and making the bell ring. She had dark skin, messy hair held up in a short ponytail and her body was covered in darker freckles mainly on her elbows, ankles and face. She was wearing a business outfit of some sort, her skirt only halfway down and right above her kneecaps. She wore slight flat heels and wore black earrings. On Pollies right arm, she had a black string purse.
Lixon approached her and shook her hand, saying something that the others didn't hear. She nods in response and takes out some sort of paper, putting it on the counter.
On the paper was all of Owens information. His phone number, address, parents info, and so much more.
Agent Jason hums in response as he reads it over, he then takes it and rolls up his sleeve on his left wrist. On his wrist was a gadget if some sort, it emitted some sort of very bright green scanner as he holds it over the address information. It suddenly beeps and suddenly a transparent 3D print out of Owens house showed up.
"Woah" Fry says in awe, fascinated by such little things in the future. He only saw these kinds of things on TV with CGI. Never before had it been real.
Jason uses his other hands pointer finger to spin the layout of it around in circles and zoom in on it, showing the inside. There was two red dots in some sort of lower level beneath the house. It was a big empty space and nothing managed to show up. "I'm catching one human heat signal but I can't seem to find the robots?"
Aron speaks up to the leader, "this is a male bending unit, correct?" He asks and earns nods from the other two agents as well as Fry and Leela. He then continues, "maybe his antenna somehow got broken and he lost signal?"
The leader of the three agents thinks to himself for a moment, "seems likely, that's probably why no radio frequencies show up here" he states. He then turns to Pollie, "can you give us any backstory? It's fine if you're not comfortable, Pollie" He says in a gentle tone of voice.
Pollie sighs, "I suppose I can if it's important" she starts off. She then goes on to explain how she and Owen got together. "We were college sweethearts, we started dating right when we were about to graduate. I majored in earth science and biology. He majored in robotics and engineering. After about a year or so, he proposed and we got married. That was the worst mistake of my life"
The woman then starts to explain what happened afterwards, "it was fine the first few months. Then, it all just...turned around" she shrugs, "he found some sort of robot and talked about what we could do to become rich. I never wanted a rich life in all honesty and I discussed that with him. When we started arguing, it was rough. He soon got possessive and abusive. Only threatening me when I ignored him, disobeyed his rules and left without his permission. He had control over my life" she says.
"While this was going on, so was his and Lixon's little business. I always wanted to see what was going on down there and what was happening to those poor boys. But I never could and never did. It wasn't long before I got a divorce, he was angry, but I just didn't care. I packed my things and left him."
Pollie let's out another heavy sigh, "I hope you guys can find that man and arrest him for what he did" she was starting to get angry. Her knuckles turning white as she gripped onto the counter.
Agent Pox came over and put a hand on her shoulder, "don't worry ma'am, well do all that we can" he nods. Her tense shoulders relax as she lets out a relieved breath.
Leela gets up, her hands on her hips and her waist is tilted to the side, giving her position more of a slant, "well then, we have the address, what are we waiting for?" She was impatient. Fry was as well, he was glaring at everybody in the room.
Agent Aron typed something on his own wrist gadget and spoke, "momcorp safety labs approval"
"What's that mean?" Fry asks with a confused look. Leela was also a bit conflicted as well.
Agent Pox looked at the two, "MOM needs to send a approvement format to the safety labs and then the labs will send that form to our direct agency" he explains.
Fry mouths an, "oh" in acknowledgement, signaling that he now understands. However, Leela slaps a hand on her forehead with a frustrated groan.
The orange haired mans gaze shifted to her, "what's wrong, Leela?"
The mutant sighs, "MOM will never approve that form, Fry!" She yells out, her hands clenching into fists. She was angry and upset and wanted to punch someone, but she held back. She didn't let her anger issues win.
The human gives a head tilt. Leela, knowing that Fry was confused by what she said, starts explaining, "Fry, Bender was owned by Farnsworth. She's always been wanting to put the professor in jail for what's been like centuries! This is like the time when Cubert overclocked Bender" she states in a matter of fact tone.
Shit. This might be a problem, then. Frys face tenses up in a grimace. He then let himself relax, "but what does he have to do with the form?" He asks.
Agent Jason answers for Leela, "this Farnsworth, owned the robot before, if he signed away the bending units rights of agreement and ownership to someone who's legally stated as a criminal in our agency, he can get about twenty year jail time and then you won't be able to get the bot back"
Fry's relaxed emotion goes back to fear and worry, "oh, snap!" He says out of concern, "so we just gotta talk to her?" He asks with a smidge of hope.
Leela hums in thought, "it might work...let's give it a shot" she states with a nod. The three agents turn to look at them, "alright then, we'll go talk to the agency while you two talk to MOM" Jason says while putting back on his square black glasses.
The two of the remaining planet express crew nod in agreement to this. "We'll see you after" Leela says as she grabs Fry's hand and drags him to the building of Mom's friendly robot company.
"Couldn't you..." Bender hissed in pain, "do it slower?..." His voice was weak from not having alcohol in a bit and his strength had completely disappeared.
Owen flashes him a stern look in his eyes and Bender instantly shuts himself up. Don't talk back, don't get hurt. The man seems to be waiting for something.
Bender realizes with wide optics and his systems seemed to have already drilled it in him, "I'm- I'm sorry for back talking, mister!"
He hated how weak and small he sounded. It was like his programming had shifted to be a complete puppet. The bending unit lets out a held back whimper as he suddenly feels the screwdriver that was digging into a ripped off hatch in his head, stab into and unscrew a very sensitive circuit board.
The robot felt dizzy as it was taken out. It must of been his stability functions. Meaning if he got up now, he'd only fall to the floor.
Owen had cleaned up the oil puddle and took Benders cut up missing arm somewhere else. He luckily didn't have the bending unit do it and Bender was thankful for that. That he didn't have to clean up the mess that Owen did to him when it wasn't his cause.
Still, Bender felt like it was his fault. Every single time he got hurt, it was because he argued. It was because he talked back. It was because he was resilient.
Suddenly, Bender let's out a shriek in agony when he feels the screwdriver enter back into the ripped open space and dig into a bundle of wires that was located in it.
He instantly apologized, "sorry sir! I'll be quiet!" He snapped.
Owen seemed to glare at him but he then went back to tilting his head up like a filthy rich snob and continued working. Bender didnt know how many days he had been here, had it even been weeks? Had he been in this room for just one day? Maybe months?
He didn't know anymore. He didn't care or want to know. There was a one in a million chance of him getting rescued and Bender given up any hope of escaping this hellhole.
For now, he sat back and endured the torture. He hated it. Every bit of it hurt. But he kept himself quiet, refusing to let out anymore screams or whimpers. Refusing to blurt out any sort of sounds. If he did that, maybe the man would give him more beer to fuel up on.
Bender just had to go with it for now. That's all he could do.
