So, a brief recap: Kay has been killed. Merlin fell in Mordor. Gopher and Piglet have been captured by goblins while Aladdin, Abu, Robin Hood and Grumpy are now following them on a rescue mission. Archimedes has accompanied Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck on their way to Mordor.
Mickey currently had Archimedes on his shoulder as he and Donald were making their way through the various rocks and crevasses. They had just finished making their way down a cliff and needed a moment to sit down.
"Thank goodness for the rope you got from Simba and Nala. There's no way we would have made it down here without it," said Mickey as he looked into the distant. He could easily see their destination in the far distance. Donald made a point to coil his rope up, luckily, he had used a knot that could be undone when it was necessary, and not before. He then looked in the direction his friend was.
"Mordor, the one place we don't want to see any closer, and that's where we're trying to get to, and just can't. We're practically lost!" he exclaimed.
"We're not lost, we're still on the trail, don't lose faith!" replied Archimedes. Mickey smiled at the owl's comment.
"Is there anything to eat?" asked Mickey.
"Plenty of lembas bread," pointed out Donald. Knowing how powerful and filling the lembas bread was, they decided to simply split a piece, Mickey sharing his with Archimedes who having the smallest stomach couldn't eat too much of the stuff. On they went, Mickey regularly looking over his shoulders.
"Mickey, are you afraid of being followed or that we're going to be attacked? Why do you keep looking over your shoulder like that?" asked Donald.
"Yes, I am dreadfully afraid that we are being followed. By the Creeper no less," answered Mickey.
"The Creeper? That thing that had the Ring?" asked an alarmed Donald.
"He's been following us since Moria," said Mickey. The companions hid themselves in that moment and looked in the direction they had been walking. It didn't take long for the Creeper to make himself known. It was the first time the three of them had actually seen the foul creature. He was short, squat and green. Wearing a brown tunic and a purple hood. His eyes were red and wild.
"Want my precious, want my precious," he said in a gargly voice. He seemingly disappeared and that's when the companions felt safe to move on.
"Do you think he has the ability to sense the Ring?" asked Archimedes.
"Well, he did have it for a very long time, and it seemed he had valued it over his own life. So perhaps he can. Let's just hope that little trick will put him off our trail awhile," answered Mickey, in his voice it sounded like he doubted that type of hope.
He had reason to. The Creeper jumped from a high rock and landed on him! There was a struggle between the two of them until Donald was able to pull the Creeper off and did everything that he could to hold him down. Mickey quickly withdrew Sting and rushed up and pointed his sword right in Creeper's face!
"This is Sting, you've seen it before haven't you? Yield!" announced Mickey with serious determination in his face. Creeper realized he didn't have many options so he wordlessly surrendered.
"Quick tie his hands together!" ordered Mickey. Donald got the rope out and quickly tied the Creeper's hands together. Creeper howled as though he was being tortured.
"It burns us! It freezes us!" he howled. Now the companions began to essentially drag him along. Creeper continued to howl.
"This is not going to work! Everything in Mordor is going to hear that!" shouted Donald.
"Well, we can't just leave him behind, he'll continue following us and might murder us in our sleep given the chance!" announced Archimedes.
"It's a pity Uncle Scrooge didn't kill him when he had the chance, let's tie him up and leave him to the elements!" suggested Donald.
"No! That'll surely kill us!" said Creeper. Mickey stepped closer to the green creature.
"Do you know the way to Mordor?" he asked. Creeper looked at Mickey with his red, watery eyes.
"Y-yes," he said.
"If you swear to serve me, and not kill us, and lead us to Mordor, I'll untie you," said Mickey.
"We swears to serve you, Master of the precious! We swears on the precious! We swears!" said Creeper. Mickey untied the rope. The Creeper was grateful to not have the rope around his wrists anymore and got in front of the companions.
"This way," he said with a grin.
"Do you suppose it wise to trust him?" asked Archimedes.
"Well, I don't feel right leaving him, and we can't let him go. Besides, he's been to Mordor before so he might be our best chance. But no, I don't fully trust him," answered Mickey. Then the Creeper started speaking nonsense.
"Alive without breath,
As cold as death,
Never thirsty, ever drinking,
All in mail never clinking."
"What are you talking about?" asked a confused Donald.
"Scrooge got it, long ago," said Creeper.
"Oh, it's a riddle! The answer is fish!" exclaimed Archimedes, he was always good with riddles, having lived with Merlin for so long.
"Well, aren't you clever birdsy," said Creeper with a horrible glint in his eye. They continued on, knowing that they were still heading into dangers they didn't want to begin to imagine.
I'm back to this story! Sorry it's been awhile, life kept me pretty busy since Christmas, but I really do want to continue this story, it's been a lot of fun, I just have so many projects, and it's hard to juggle them all
