Author's Note: Hey guys! Just gonna say that I will be dropping a quick check in with the stats of Arc 3's combatants. Or at least from the first half of Arc 3 anyways. Of course, I'm not including this chapter since this chapter begins the 2nd half of arc 3. But, before we get to the stats of the first half, I gotta say that I'm happy with this story and that you guys are reading it. We've got over 1,300 total views now and I can't thank you enough! Where this arc is going so far, it's probably going to be my favorite yet! Anyways, I'm gonna go ahead and give you guys the Power Level chart down below for chapters 14 to 16.

Now with the power levels done with the first half, let's begin the 2nd half of Arc 3!
Chapter 17:
The mysterious saiyan warrior Saito has made his full appearance on Earth. Saito has a full black outfit with a sleeveless shirt. His hands were wrapped with red tape, with two black wristbands covering his forearms. His boots have a bit of gold along the edges of them, with the tips of the toe area being a crimson red. He'd have a red robe covering half his body, with a white cloth tied by his waist. Saito would also have black spiky hair, unlike Vejin or Ryuko who have black hair, or mostly black hair respectively. Goku Jr raises an eyebrow: "Yardrat? Why does that sound so familiar?" Saito answers his question: "That's because your ancestor Goku had trained with the Yardrats a long time ago. You must've found out from your relatives." Goku Jr remembers Yardrat after Saito explains it to him: "Ah, I see now. No wonder why that name sounded familiar."
They both pause in conversation, before Goku Jr realizes: "Wait, I gotta go help the boys!" Saito responds: "Let me go with you. That's kind of the reason why I'm here." Goku Jr stops for a moment: "What do you mean? You're the reason?" Saito answers: "Well, let me actually clarify. A few months ago, a mad saiyan invaded Yardrat, killing everyone I cherished. He easily took care of me in just a handful of attacks." Goku Jr is shocked to hear this, but lets Saito keep explaining. Saito continues: "After that, he blew up Yardrat completely, and took me as prisoner for his mission to revive the saiyan race. The saiyan's name is Bruzzell, and he planned on sending the mercenaries that are here to take Ryuko back with him." Goku Jr interrupts him: "But, why Ryuko? Is there a reason?"
Saito answers: "Not quite. I'll have to ask him that myself. I overheard their conversation, but all he said was that it was a personal score to settle with Ryuko." Saito realizes that Goku Jr is separated from the others: "Sorry to change the subject, but, how come you aren't at the fight?" Goku Jr states: "That's because I had my own matter to settle here. Since you came from Yardrat I can assume you have instant transmission, and that's how you locked onto me, right?" Saito nods his head. Goku Jr smirks: "It's a pleasure to meet you, Saito. But, we have more important matters to attend to. Let's move!" Saito nods once again and follows Goku Jr back to the fight.
With all the mercenaries eliminated, all that was left was their commander in chief, Kobra. Kobra opens his eyes and they meet with Vejin standing right in front of him. Kobra says nothing to the prideful saiyan. Vejin's hair began to flow with the wind as he stares down Kobra: "Well now. Seems your little band of misfits is gone. That finally leaves us two to do some fighting ourselves." Vejin cracks his knuckles. Kobra tells Vejin coldly: "You stand no chance against me, Saiyan. This fight will lead to your downfall in the end." Vejin continues to provoke the assassin: "Come on now. It's no fun for you to abstain, am I right? Come on and fight me. Unless you feel like you're threatened by me?" Kobra sighs as he stares Vejin in his eyes: "Alright, saiyan. It's your funeral that you decided your fate."
In almost an instant, Kobra gut punches Vejin severely. Vejin recoils from the attack and dashes back, but Kobra continues to pursue him. Kobra lands attack after attack on the saiyan, giving him no room for attacks or tricks. Vejin tells Kobra: "Geez..Giving me no room to work with. Fine! HAVE IT YOUR WAY!" Vejin powers up into his Berserk State once again. Since the last time, Vejin has significantly improved on his power. Vejin clenches his fist: "This is what real power is, Kobra..And you're gonna taste it yourself!" Vejin fires off a one handed blast at Kobra. Kobra swiftly deflects it and fires a volley of blasts, surrounding Vejin. Vejin raises an eyebrow: "Come on, seriously? You're missing a close ranged opponent!" Vejin was too arrogant to realize the issue. Kobra stops firing blasts and closes his fist: "Hmph…Arrogant fool." Vejin realizes his mistake and sees hundreds of blasts closing in on him. He has no choice but to put his guard up and take the blasts head on. A massive smoke cloud appears before them. Vejin clears it with a push of his aura, diving head first towards Kobra to engage in combat again.
Outside the battle, Saito and Goku Jr arrive next to the Neo Z-Fighters. Oritsu powers down before questioning: "Goku, is this an old friend of yours? Who is he?" Goku Jr answers for the rest of them: "He is an ally of ours. He was held as prisoner by the man who hired the mercenaries." The others would widen their eyes before going back to normal. Saito observes the battle between Vejin and Kobra: "So, that must be the mercenary up there after this Ryuko guy, right?" Goku Jr nods: "Yes. He's after my grandson, Ryuko. But, there were three other mercenaries with him, but they have all been defeated by our planet's warriors."
As Goku Jr explains to Saito of the circumstance, Goku Jr feels a heavy pain in his chest and heads down to his knees immediately: "Gahhh!" Goku Jr goes down to two knees as he struggles to breathe fully. With every inhale, a severe chest pain surges through his body. Goku Jr loses his vision a few times. B'az exclaims: "Goku!" before rushing to his aid. Letuce and Oritsu head to each side of Goku Jr's body, helping him back up. After a minute, the pain subsides and he gets back up: "Thanks. But, I'm alright." Saito raises an eyebrow: "What's happened to you, old man?" Goku Jr regains his breath completely: "Well, that's quite it actually. Due to my age, I can't stay in Super Saiyan for longer periods of time. It causes me physical pain, and could lead to my own demise. That's why I rarely use it unless absolutely necessary." Saito responds: "So that's how I tracked you. You went into Super Saiyan in that moment." Letuce interrupts their conversation: "Well Goku, you should let us step in. Sit this one out." Goku Jr tells the saiyan: "Perhaps. But, if this situation gets dire, you leave me no choice. For now, I'll watch over my grandson." Goku Jr takes a seat next to his unconscious grandson.
Back to the fight, Vejin is still put on the backfoot. Kobra continues to leave no room for Vejin to counterattack or evade. But, Kobra stops and enters a sudden stance. Vejin sees the opportunity: "HAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" Vejin rushes in at full force! Kobra's aura would linger around his body like steam. Kobra loosens his body: "Secret Style: Slithering Serpent." The moment Vejin unleashes his series of punches and kicks, Kobra swiftly evades the attacks easily and slips through them like a snake slithering on the ground. Kobra attacks Vejin with open palmed strikes and clenches down on Vejin's sides like twin snakes biting into their prey. Vejin screams in pain: "GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" Vejin grabs onto Kobra's arms and flips over them, stomping on Kobra's head, sending him into the ground. Vejin charges up a blast with all he's got. Vejin shouts: "THIS IS IT! MY CATASTROPHE BULLET!" Vejin extends his arm out towards Kobra and fires the blast straight to him.
Kobra's body returns to normal as Kobra holds out one hand to block the attack. Vejin was visibly shocked by this before gritting his teeth and adding more power into the attack: "HRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!" Vejin's aura flares! After the burst of power, Kobra uses two arms to block the attack. The blast explodes, but after the dust clears, it's revealed that Kobra was relatively unharmed: "Hmph..That was nothing.." Vejin drops to his knees seeing his last ditch effort had gone up in smoke: "No…That can't be it.." Vejin couldn't believe it himself. He had no other tricks or last minute attacks to do against Kobra. Kobra would just continue his assault on Vejin, beating him senseless: "G-GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!" Vejin screams in pain. Kobra unleashes a barrage of punches to the saiyan before unleashing a fast rising spin kick to Vejin's jaw. This knocked Vejin away and crashes into the mountainside. After a few seconds, Vejin's berserk aura disappears and plops onto the ground with his face buried in rubble.
Kobra looks down on the saiyan: "Seems like you really enjoy eating the dirt saiyan. It fits your personality quite well. Too pompous and confident, only to realize everything you say has the same value as the dirt you walk on. Poetic." Kobra puts his foot on top of Vejin's head: "Although you were never the target, you have been a thorn at my side in this mission. It is better to kill you than leave you alive.."
But, in the background, a voice would scream: "VEJIN! GET BACK UP RIGHT NOW!" Vejin's eyes would open as he looks over to see Goku Jr was the one that shouted to him! Goku Jr tells him: "Pull yourself together, Vejin! You need to get a grip and concentrate! DO NOT FALL SO EASILY! DO YOU HEAR ME!? VEJIN!" Vejin slowly gets back up. He'd be slightly weak but he gets back up before his berserk aura surrounds him once again. He dawns an arrogant grin as he looks down at the ground: "You're right old man. I don't fall easy. I'm not gonna lose to some assassin and keel over from it. I'm fighting this guy…TO THE END!" In a sudden burst of power, Vejin's aura rises and becomes a massive red and black pillar. Kobra would watch as he starts to realize the predicament he's in. He questions the saiyan: "Just who are you?" The pillar of light clears as Vejin's aura has become more refined than ever as it envelops his whole body. Vejin opens his eyes and looks at Kobra: "Who am I? I'm the former saiyan outcast to Planet Vegeta. I am Vejin." Vejin's berserker power has finally been fully controlled.
