Once again, thank you for all the comments. I'm going to respond to a couple after the chapter. One I will respond to up here. I was asked about the names of the supporting characters. For those who are original characters, I essentially created the names, though I did look up ideas on a Korean naming site. Song Lee Bin is a common name I've seen in other 'fics for Woo Bin's dad and I didn't know if it was canon or not but I thought it worked. Since some of the naming conventions I saw in the show (and other shows) are similar when it comes to siblings (Jun Hee and Jun Pyo for example) is why I chose Bon Ha for Woo Bin's mother's name and being a sibling of Bon Hyeong. Bon Hyeong, Yun He (though spelled Yoon He in subtitles), Il Hyun, Seok Young, and Hyun Sub are all canon. So far only the lawyer, the doctor in this chapter, Bon Ha, Shan Gi, and Seu Ya are names I created. I haven't created names yet for Woo Bin's twin sisters. I know in the manga the Woo Bin character has twin sisters, which is why I added that aspect into this story. They are five-years-old, so Woo Bin was 15 almost 16 when they were born (or 16 almost 17 Korean age, which means the twins are 6 Korean age.)

WARNING: Just a reminder there is the discussion of Ga Eul's injuries from her assault in this chapter.

"How is Ga Eul?" Ji Hu asked as soon as he entered the sitting room, Jun Pyo not far behind him. He paused when he saw So Il Hyun standing beside his grandmother. It was the first time he truly noticed the various family members.

"Seok Young and Bon Ha are still seeing to her," Bon Hyeong said. "They will let us know how she is once they are done examining her and getting her injuries settled."

"Woo Bin and Yi Jeong haven't arrived yet?" Jun Pyo asked.

"Not-," Lee Bin started to say, his words cut off as Song Woo Bin walked into the sitting room, So Yi Jeong behind him as he walked beside his beaten and bloodied father. The older So was cradling his right hand to his chest.

"Appa?" Il Hyun hurried over to his father as Kim Seu Ya rose and hurried to her son's side.

"His hand is broken," Yi Jeong said, his voice strained.

"How's the girl?" Hyun Sub asked, his eyes immediately seeking out Bon Hyeong's.

"Seok Young and Bon Ha are with her," Yun He answered his son. "Adeul, what happened to you?"

"Master," Butler Lee said. "Doctor Gim arrived."

"We called him on the way," Woo Bin explained. "We knew that someone would be called for Ga Eul, so we made sure to have someone else to look at Samchon. Chief Lee took those that attacked Ga Eul to interrogate them and find out why they targeted her."

"A good idea to call Doctor Gim," Yun He said. "Seu Ya, let's take him to our room to let Doctor Gim take care of him."

Bon Hyeong nodded. "Butler Lee, please arrange for a change of clothes for So Hyun Sub." He looked at Woo Bin and Yi Jeong. "Why don't the two of you also change as Jun Pyo and Ji Hu did, then come back down." He looked at Il Hyun. "You as well, Il Hyun. It's going to be a long night, I suspect. Hopefully, we'll have some more news about Ga Eul by then."

"How are you holding up?" Lee Bin asked Bon Hyeong once the boys had reluctantly headed up to change, while So Hyun Sub had gone with his parents and Doctor Gim.

"Not well," Bon Hyeong admitted. "I want to ensure she's all right. And we need to tell the boys."

"We will, as soon as they come down, we'll start explaining everything," Lee Bin said. Bon Hyeong arched a brow as Jun Hee came into the sitting room, a small package held against her chest. She walked over to the coffee table in the sitting room, setting the package done.

"Noona, what's this?" Jun Pyo asked.

"Visual aids," Jun Hee said, smiling sadly. "Once everyone is here, it will make sense, namdongsaeng." Jun Pyo frowned, tilting his head. He reached for one of the items, pausing when Jun Hee put her hand over his and shook her head.

"Patience, namdongsaeng," she said.

After a long thirty minutes, everyone returned to the sitting room, except Hyun Sub. Il Hyun had his arm around his brother, which was a sight that Jun Hee never thought she'd get to see again after Il Hyun had walked away from the family once he realized that Yi Jeong was to inherit everything due to being a prodigy. She knew it was something that had been influenced by their father and not Yun He himself.

"Doctor Gim is setting Hyun Sub's hand," Seu Ya said as she took a seat already feeling weary from everything.

"What happened exactly?" Song Lee Bin asked.

"Apparently So Hyun Sub saw Ga Eul being attacked and intervened," Woo Bin said. "He knew they were close to the F4 lounge near the academy and hoped that we were there when he saw Ji Hu coming out."

"Why didn't he call anyone?" Lee Bin asked.

"That's how he came across the situation," Yi Jeong said. "He was taking a shortcut through the alley where she had been dragged into as he headed back to his office because he forgot his phone."

"Do you think these attackers are related to those who kidnapped Geum Jan Di and attacked Jun Pyo a week ago?" Jun Hee asked.

Lee Bin rubbed his face tiredly. "If so, then it means Kang Hee Soo is behind Ga Eul's attack," he said. He looked at Bon Hyeong. "It's one of the things I was going to tell you before Jun Hee rushed in to tell us about Ga Eul and that the boys were bringing her here. Lee Jae Ha admitted he was hired by Kang Hee Soo to lure Geum Jan Di away from Jun Pyo. However, since he was the brother of the kid Jan Di saved from suicide at Shinhwa, he wanted revenge on Jun Pyo for that."

"Eomeoni hired someone to hurt Jan Di?" Jun Pyo asked. "Did she not at all look into-." He paused when he saw the fury sliding across his father's face before he was pulling out his cell phone.

"Appa?" Jun Hee asked. Bon Hyeong lifted a finger to his daughter, waiting for the other party on the line to answer.

"Is it done?" he asked whoever he spoke to. "Everything is handled? Good. Call me immediately when the shit hits the fan." He ended the call immediately.

"What did you do?" Yun He questioned, his eyebrow arched.

"Eliminated a variable," Bon Hyeong said. He took a deep breath before looking at Jun Pyo. "Adeul, this is something that I should have told you a long time ago. Please forgive your appa for drowning himself in grief and losing sight of what was most important which was you and Jun Hee."

Jun Pyo's frown deepened. He glanced at his friends, seeing their own confusion before he looked at his sister. She didn't seem confused, only sad, which concerned him further. He looked at his father once more. "I… don't understand," he said.

"You've been raised to think that evil bitch was your mother," Bon Hyeong said. "But Kang Hee Soo's blood does not flow through your veins or through Jun Hee's."

"Wh… what?" Jun Pyo asked. "I… what do you mean?"

"Your mother's name was Kim Shan Gi," Bon Hyeong said. "She was killed nineteen years ago in a car accident."

Ji Hu, Yi Jeong, and Woo Bin all hurried to their friend as Jun Pyo's tall frame wavered. Ji Hu and Yi Jeong each had a hand on his shoulder to steady him. "Car…" He swallowed hard. He looked over at his sister, who gave a small nod. He looked at Bon Hyeong. "Why did you never talk about her? Why did you let me think that witch was my mother?!"

Bon Hyeong winced. "I…" he swallowed hard. "I was a coward."

"You were grieving," Yun He defended him. "Shan Gi was the love of your life and you thought you not only lost her but your daughter. Then forced into marriage to Kang Hee Soo by your eomeoni, which was something your abeoji didn't agree with."

"Which is why he added fine print to the marriage contract," Bon Hyeong said. "A fact Bon Ha and Lee Bin found out a few weeks ago. Kang Hee Soo and I were never legally married."

"Appa?" Jun Hee asked. "What… what do you mean?"

"Your harabeoji put a clause into the marriage contract that it was not to be registered until the day Kang Hee Soo gave birth to a biological child between her and me," Bon Hyeong explained. "Until that time, the marriage contract remained with our lawyers. To quote Song Lee Bin, Kang Hee Soo is nothing more than a Shinhwa employee. Or rather… she was. Every right she had as such has been eliminated and she will receive severance pay."

"Which means she's out of our lives?" Jun Hee asked.

"She's going to fight it," Lee Bin pointed out.

"Let her try to," Bon Hyeong said. "Now that Ga Eul is where she belongs now, she won't be able to use her."

"What does Ga Eul have to do with anything?" Ji Hu had to ask. "I feel like we went from discussing that Jun Pyo's biological mother is not Kang Hee Soo to Ga Eul and somewhere the connection in the middle got skipped."

Jun Hee moved to the package that she had put onto the table, looking through until she found what she was looking for. She carried the framed image over to Jun Pyo. "This will help you to understand," she explained. "This is a picture of you, Jun Pyo, as a baby with Eomma." She turned to show him the picture of Shan Gi holding a dark, curly-haired infant in her arms.

"She… she looks just like Ga Eul," Yi Jeong breathed out.

"This is why I asked you about her," Jun Hee explained. "I remember my eomma. Seeing Ga Eul was like seeing a ghost."

"Jun Hee asked me to investigate Ga Eul," Lee Bin said. "Before she showed Bon Hyeong her image. In the process, we were able to get strands of Ga Eul's hair to do a paternity test."

"Wait, can we take a moment to back up," Woo Bin said. "Harabeoji So said something about losing a daughter?"

Bon Hyeong nodded. "Shan Gi was three weeks away from giving birth to our third child, a little girl, when the accident happened," he said. "I was told that Shan Gi and our daughter had died in the accident. For nineteen years, I believed that."

"Until I saw Chu Ga Eul," Jun Hee said.

"So the paternity test?" Ji Hu asked.

"Two were run," Lee Bin explained. "A standard paternity test against Bon Hyeong's DNA and another that cross-matched DNA of a sibling, in this case, Jun Hee. Ga Eul is the daughter of Gu Bon Hyeong and his late wife."

"Which means she's our yeodongsaeng," Jun Pyo said with a rough voice, his eyes never leaving the image of him and his mother. He lifted his eyes to Jun Hee. "I'm an Oppa?"

Jun Hee gave him a watery smile. "You are, dongsaeng."

"That's not all," Bon Hyeong said. He took a shuddering breath, glancing at the other elders in the room. "You boys are all related in some way."

"What?" Woo Bin questioned.

Jun Hee turned to the table again and pulled out another image. It was the same image that Lee Bin had shown Bon Hyeong a week ago with the two boys. "This was our last family portrait taken," she said.

"That's… me," Woo Bin said, pointing to one of the boys. "But I didn't meet Jun Pyo until kindergarten at Shinhwa."

"You boys actually shared a crib when we would come to visit your eomma's parents," Lee Bin said. "Your mother broke with Korean tradition, as did Jun Pyo's, by taking our names after they married. But her name is actually Gu Bon Ha. She is Bon Hyeong's yeodongsaeng."

"You mean Woo Bin and I are cousins?" Jun Pyo asked.

"Yes you are," Lee Bin said. "And Woo Bin you are second cousins to Ji Hu and Yi Jeong."

"What?" Ji Hu asked. "How?"

"Your mother and Yi Jeong's mother are cousins," Yun He explained. "And they are also Song Lee Bin's cousins."

"So we are not related to Jun Hee or Jun Pyo?" Yi Jeong asked.

"Not by blood," Lee Bin said.

"Why were we never told?" Yi Jeong asked. "Ji Hu lived as an orphan after his parents were killed and his grandfather left him all while he had family in us who could have-."

"Your eomeoni and I were in no place to take in a third child," Hyun Sub said as he walked into the sitting room in clean clothes and his hand wrapped. "And under the circumstances, Ji Hu became a better man as an orphan than if he had grown up under my influence. I regret, now, how you and Il Hyun were raised. I'd rather have not added Ji Hu to that."

"Perhaps you should have thought of that before treating my cousin the way you did," Lee Bin pointed out with a hard voice. "She was already more fragile of mind as it was before you married her and now she-."

"I know," Hyun Sub said. "I can never undo what I've done in the name of grief and wishing things were different, but I can't change who my first love was or how much losing her damaged me and led me to damage my wife and sons." He glanced over at Bon Hyeong. "Or how much it damaged and fractured friendships from childhood."

"Shan Gi never wanted to come between us," Bon Hyeong said.

"I know," Hyun Sub said. "But I am stubborn and I never wanted to accept that she loved you over me. That she chose you over me. It was easier after she died for me to think you never loved her as much as I did when you remarried so quickly after she died."

"Only I didn't it turns out," Bon Hyeong said. "You missed that bit of information. My marriage was never registered and was never going to be if Kang Hee Soo and I never had a biological child. Apparently, a little fine print my abeoji added to the marriage contract that was only discovered recently. Since Kang Hee Soo made every attempt to ensure that the few times we were intimate that a child was not produced, she was not aware of that fine print. Otherwise, she'd have made sure to have a child with me."

"A very smart tactic on his part then," Hyun Sub said. "When I saw the girl in the alley being attacked, it was like seeing a ghost. I had seen images of her and began looking into her myself, but to see her in person was haunting."

"How did you see images of her?" Yi Jeong asked.

Hyun Sub glanced at his son. "I think Kang Hee Soo sent them anonymously. They were images taken of her with you and the other boys, as well as that Geum Jan Di. A note included was something along the lines of "you may be interested in who your son is spending time with." However, Kang Hee Soo or whoever may have sent it on her behalf may not know the history between Bon Hyeong, Shan Gi, and I."

"If Kang Hee Soo is behind any of this besides what happened to Geum Jan Di and Jun Pyo, I doubt she would have sent you images of Ga Eul because she knew you would know Shan Gi. But one of her lackeys wouldn't know the history," Lee Bin said. "So if they thought of Kang Hee Soo's reaction to Geum Jan Di, perhaps they thought you would have the same reaction to someone viewed as a commoner around Yi Jeong as well."

"You said you were investigating?" Bon Hyeong said.

"For the same reason you did and Jun Hee did," Hyun Sub said. "Because of her looks, but as far as we all knew, the baby died with Shan Gi. Which is why I was so livid at you when you and Kang Hee Soo were married… well supposedly married, so soon after Shan Gi died."

"I barely remember those days," Bon Hyeong said. "And my mother pushed everything. Ultimately, I needed a mother for my children. If I'd known how she'd be with them, I'd have fought my mother more. But I was in a fog of grief. I had lost the love of my life and our child. While I had Jun Hee and Jun Pyo to care for…"

"Grief is a horrible thing to cope with," Seok Young said as he walked into the room. "Which is why I made terrible choices when it came to Ji Hu after losing my son and his wife."

"How is Ga Eul?" Bon Hyeong immediately asked.

"There is good news and bad news," Seok Young said. "Bon Ha is still with her and they will be joining us in a moment, but I left them so Bon Ha could help her change. We explained who she is to her as well, which she took amazingly well."

"She's always known those caring for her weren't her parents," Lee Bin said. "During my investigation, I discovered that. So to be told who her biological family is would be easy to accept when you know that those who you've been raised by are not related to you."

"Back to the good news and bad news," Bon Hyeong said.

"I just want to clarify that Ga Eul is aware I am sharing this information to everyone here and gave me her permission to do so," Seok Young said. "With that being said, the good news is that Ga Eul was not raped. So Hyun Sub obviously stepped in before that could happen."

Jun Pyo had to set the framed image down and sank to the sofa, rubbing his face. Ji Hu's eyes closed and he breathed out a sigh of relief as Woo Bin and Yi Jeong both moved away to gather their emotions at the idea. Bon Hyeong lowered his head as Jun Hee hugged him, knowing the relief he had to feel from hearing those words.

"I feel there is a but coming," Lee Bin said to Seok Young.

"Unfortunately, that's the bad news," Seok Young said. "While she was not raped, she was sexually assaulted." Seu Ya gasped, covering her mouth as she glanced at her husband, who looked sick to his stomach.

"Sexu…" Bon Hyeong wavered. "How bad?"

"Three injuries concern me," Seok Young said. "She has a deep bite on her inner right thigh that I am worried about damaged muscle, so she will need to be monitored as she heals. I'd like to do an MRI to see how deep the damage could be, it could be not as deep as I think but it's deep enough that I'm concerned. She has another deep bite mark near her breast as well that was enough to even cut through the fabric of her shirt to injure her. I've stitched both wounds but will keep an eye on infection and as I said, the MRI on the one on her thigh. Her right hip was also dislocated, which I suspect happened when she was bitten."

"She has a history of hip dislocations," Lee Bin said. "From the investigation I did. I suspect she may have been abused by her caretakers, but a lot of hospital stays for the injuries were blamed on dance injuries."

"She's a dancer?" Woo Bin asked.

"She was," Lee Bin said. "They pulled her out of the art school she was in for dance, claiming it was too expensive and making her work part-time in order to pay for her things. But they are being paid handsomely to care for her, they just aren't using the money on her." Woo Bin's hands fisted in anger, his jaw tightening. A quick glance at his other friends saw the same reaction, Jun Pyo getting back to his feet and starting to pace.

"The suspicion of abuse is probably accurate," Seok Young said. "She has older bruises beneath her clothes that are unrelated to the assault. The biggest concern, outside of the three injuries that I am concerned about, is nightmares over the assault."

"I'm stronger than you think," Ga Eul said as she limped into the room with Bon Ha's arm around her. "And they are abusive, so nightmares from the assault may happen, but nothing I've not experienced before."

Jun Pyo spun when he heard her voice, staring at Ga Eul with new eyes. He immediately hurried over to the younger woman and pulled her into his arms in a hug. Ga Eul returned the hug, feeling her heart hitch at the feel of his arms around her with the knowledge that this was her older brother. Jun Pyo picked her up and turned to carry her to the couch.

"Jun Pyo, your ribs," Jun Hee said, moving over to her siblings. Jun Pyo simply sat down and held Ga Eul on his lap, his arms remaining around her. Ga Eul rested her head against his. The feeling she had during the final competition when she had wanted to comfort him overwhelmed her at that moment and she knew that he just needed to hold her close. Her eyes lifted when Jun Hee sat beside them, putting her arm around Jun Pyo, her other hand resting on top of Ga Eul's hand in her lap. Ga Eul shifted to lay her head on Jun Pyo's other shoulder nearer to Jun Hee. She felt Jun Hee's hand come up and start stroking her hair as the three siblings held one another.

"Are there any other family secrets?" Il Hyun asked from where he stood behind the couch. "Long lost cousins and siblings aside?"

"No," Bon Hyeong said. "But I knew we were going to start telling everyone tonight, which is why I arranged for rooms for everyone to remain here for the night."

"I am assuming the twins are here," Woo Bin said.

"In the old nursery playing," Bon Ha said. "We figured it would be better to tell them in a bit after we told all of you first. It's easier to explain to two five-year-olds about new cousins than to explain to grown men how we've kept this all from you so long."

"How are we to work past that?" Yi Jeong asked. "We got lucky that we all became friends, but what if we hadn't? You kept us away from each other as family."

"We know," Bon Hyeong said. "Nothing we can do or say can make up for that. We can only hope that we can move past it now."

"What about Ga Eul?" Ji Hu asked.

"The room you took her to is her suite of rooms now," Bon Hyeong said. He looked over at Ga Eul as she lifted her head to look at him. "I know it's a lot for you to take in, but you are safer here and you belong here with your family. I've already-."

"You don't have to explain," Ga Eul said, sounding tired. Her head laid back down on Jun Pyo's shoulder. "I do belong with my family. They never cared about me. But I never knew what a family was, even with Jan Di. I don't know what family is like."

"You will," Jun Pyo said, running a hand down her back. "You will." He pressed a kiss to the top of his sister's head. Ga Eul's eyes fluttered closed, relaxing into Jun Pyo's hold.

"She should get some rest," Seok Young said. "But Jun Pyo, you can't carry her. Not with your ribs."

Ji Hu moved over to the siblings. "Let me take her," he immediately said, even as Yi Jeong had started to move. Jun Pyo looked at one of his best friends.

"Please," Ji Hu said quietly, his voice rough. "I need to make sure… I need…" He simply reached his arms out and Jun Pyo understood. Having been the one to catch Ga Eul when Hyun Sub had found them, carried her to the car, and then to the house in the state she had been, Ji Hu needed to know that Ga Eul was alright. Giving his sister over to Ji Hu, Jun Pyo stood as the other man held Ga Eul against his chest.

"All of you, let's go," Jun Hee said, standing. She looked at Il Hyun, Woo Bin, and Yi Jeong. "Let's let our elders talk. We'll stay with Ga Eul."

Bon Ha walked over to her brother, slipping her arms around his waist as Jun Hee led the boys out of the room with Ga Eul. "Things will work out, Oppa," she said. "Ga Eul is home. She's where she belongs and we'll find out who hurt her."

"And they will never hurt anyone ever again," Lee Bin said.

Review comments: Those responding that they hope for a love triangle with either Ji Hu/Yi Jeong/Ga Eul or Woo Bin/Yi Jeong/Ga Eul- you will get the Ji Hu/Yi Jeong/Ga Eul love triangle. I do like the idea of her with Woo Bin, but in this story they are cousins, so no incest. I do not know yet which couple will be the endgame for this story. I am considering writing a Ga Eul-centric where each chapter centers around her having a romantic relationship with each guy and I have two 'fic ideas that will be specifically Ji Hu/Ga Eul. Though I am very much a Yi Jeong/Ga Eul 'shipper, I've also fallen in love with Ji Hu and feel he really got the short end of the stick in the show.

EnchantedRose34: So I have a theory about why we never got a kiss scene between Ga Eul and Yi Jeong. Technically speaking, when they were filming the show, Kim Bum and Kim So-eun were the two youngest actors of the leading cast members. I know the show aired in 2009, but if they were filming at the beginning of the year or in 2008, that means that they were both only 19 (Korean age 20). The age of majority in Korea is 20, but I don't know how that affects how things are filmed/comfort levels for certain things (ie. showing skin on screen, kissing scenes, etc.). If you notice in the series, both actors were always covered for the most part in clothing. Even in the swimming competition, if you look at the differences in the swimming outfits that the guys and Ku Hye-sun wore. For the guys, Kim Jun and Kim Hyun Joong both wore sleeveless, very form-fitting swimming outfits. While Hyun Joong's was full-length legs, his outfit left NOTHING to the imagination of his body in it while Kim Jun's came to mid-thigh. When you look at Kim Bum's swimming outfit, it's much more loose-fitting, has both full-length legs and sleeves. While we never see Kim Jun shirtless in the show, only Kim Hyun Joong and Lee Min-Ho go shirtless, we always see Kim Bum very covered up. Now on to Ga Eul. She is almost always covered that we see. In New Caledonia, she is obviously wearing a bikini on the beach, but she has on shorts and a shirt to cover herself. While there are scenes with her midriff showing, it's only for the scene with Jan Di's "drowning". Any other time we see Ga Eul on the beach, she's pretty much covered (shorts, blouses with sleeves, etc.) We never see her baring her midriff again. It's no surprise that she and Jan Di both keep themselves covered on the beach since it's a modesty thing that the American/white women that join them don't have (obviously since they are never covered up in their bikinis, or just a shirt with their bikini bottoms showing in the volleyball scene). While Kim So-eun wears a sleeveless dress in New Caledonia at dinner, it's a very modest one that covers her shoulders, really only her arms are bare. The most skin we see, which isn't even much then, is the dress she is put into for the revenge date and her back and arms are briefly exposed. Otherwise, she is always very modestly covered whenever we see her. With all of the wardrobe choices in mind, I do think the young ages of both Kim Bum and Kim So-eun played a factor (we never actually see Yi Jeong kiss anyone. Yes, we see the implied kiss that led to him getting beat up and his hand broken, but the way it was filmed we never see Kim Bum and the actress touching lips. We see him lean in and the back of his head, but not the actual kiss itself), there could have been a comfort factor as well, but I think a lot of the intimacies we didn't see may have been their minority ages at the time of filming. But that is purely theory on my part.
