As the morning sun rose over the Elton Rock out on the open sea, Trent watched it from the deck, playing his guitar. It was such a beautiful sight to behold on such a beautiful day. He could never get over how it looks from where he is with the wind still pushing the boat. As he watched, he could hear the sound of footsteps coming outside.
"I thought I'd find you up here."
He turned to see Gwen standing across the deck with a smug on her face.
"Who wouldn't want to miss something so special like this?" he asked, looking back towards the sunrise. "Where it's so peaceful and quiet, away from all the stress in the world."
"Amen," Gwen agreed. "And I'm also guessing it's only quiet when you're the only one up here?"
"It's loud with a full house, minding their own business," shrugged Trent. "Though I don't really mind sharing it sometimes, like with the Drama Brothers when we wanna get some time away from all our fans."
"I never really thought Justin would even want to get away from the paparazzi," Gwen chuckled.
"Only when it gets overwhelming. Even he has his limits," replied Trent. "On land, it gets busy and noisy. But out here, it's quiet and serine, not a sound to be heard. That's why I often like being out here," he added.
"I know what you mean," she said, listening for any possible sound other than just the slight wind pushing the boat on the water. "It really can be the stress-reliever."
"But, then again," put in Trent, "I do love my music."
Gwen smiled again.
"Seems like you got yourself a dilemma," she teased.
"Oh, ha-ha-ha!" Trent smirked.
They spent a while talking and hanging out until more came out to relax and stuff.
However, after many hours of sailing, it became past noon when the boat neared its first stop on their trip. Gwen could see it standing from the bow through the binoculars before going down below to see Trent and the others.
"I see land ahead!" she called down the hatchway.
Hearing this, everyone hurried onto the deck to see. The land started to appear much closer now, close enough to be able to see it without binoculars.
"Our first stop, guys," announced Trent. "Anthony Island!"
They eventually saw the island come into view, showing many big rocks covering the shore. Trent safely drove the boat far around the rocks, stopping it and anchoring near the beach.
Geoff turned on the radio, playing "Margaritaville" and everyone returned from their cabins and onto the deck, wearing their swimsuits. Mickey blushed madly when he saw Kitty in her red two-piece bikini, which Jay noticed and silently chuckled. Trent lowered the aft ladder to the sea and gave his permission for everyone to jump into the water and swim around. "Cannonball!" called Geoff as he jumped into the water in his pose with a big splash while everyone else followed.
The only ones who weren't swimming were Gwen, who was sitting on the deck busily sketching the shore on her sketchbook, and Mickey and Jay, who were so nervous to even jump into the water, which Kitty noticed and swam towards them, making Mickey nervous instantly.
"What are you two still doing up there?" she asked while treading. "Come on in! The water's fine!"
"B-B-B-B-But... we're just... still not used to water!" cried Jay.
"Didn't you two try it during the race?" asked Kitty.
"Yes," replied Mickey. "But seeing the sharks really made us afraid of going in the ocean."
"Oh, come on, you guys!" said Kitty. "Trent already made sure there wasn't any sharks in this spot, especially the Great White ones."
"Yeah, come on!" Brody put in, who came back onto the deck. "Otherwise, I'll do this!" he shoved them over the deck and into the water with a splash. They came up spluttering yet treading.
"You didn't have to surprise them like that," Kitty scolded Brody.
"Sorry, had to get them in the water somehow!" Brody laughed before jumping in again.
Although, the twins were starting to like it. The water was so clear, blue, and sparkling in the sunlight from where they were swimming in. There were lots of fish, some swimming in schools or solo, some bits of seaweed swirling in the tiny currents or flow.
"Hey, this water actually is nice!" smiled Jay.
"Yeah, it is!" agreed Mickey.
"See? I told you there was nothing to worry about," smiled Kitty.
Gwen watched with a smile as she observed the scene while sipping a margarita and sketching the shore. Trent could see that even though Gwen was in her swimsuit, she was still just sketching rather than swimming.
"Couldn't pass up the chance to sketch something amazing, right?" he asked.
"Nope," Gwen said proudly.
"Yep, that's just so you," Trent muttered with a smug.
Gwen thought she might've heard something, but Trent had already jumped in before she could ask him to repeat and chose to ignore it and carry on.
Ryan and Stephanie swam underwater to adore the admirable scenery as a couple. Jay and Mickey just floated on their backs above the surface. Trent, Geoff, Brody, DJ, and Kitty were treading, having a friendly splash fight. Gwen chuckled as she watched it while still sketching. Suddenly, one of Geoff's big splashes accidently rose towards Gwen, who quickly closed her sketchbook and covered it with her upper body while she was splashed all over.
"Whoops! Sorry, dudette!" Geoff called while Kitty and the others looked anxiously.
Gwen peeked in her sketchbook to see her drawing still dry before turning towards the guys with a challenging smirk on her face.
"You're lucky I just finished my drawing," Gwen sneered as she put her sketchbook in her bag before standing up, jumping into the water, and joining them in their splash fight.
There was no better fun than just a group of friends playing together on a hot and sunny day in paradise.
On the Eastern Islands of British Columbia, one of the islands was called Sunset Island, a paradise filled with lush-green forests, sandy beaches, blue seas, marine, coral, and best of all, big waves where people tend to surf on them without a care in the world.
There was only one place on the island to have plenty of that activity, and that is a resort with a four-story hotel with a penthouse four more stories up with the an orca statue slowly rotation around the roof. It featured several things like a private surf beach where only the staff know about, a gift shop, a pirate-ship themed resturant, a spa, a golf course, a snack shack, a swimming pool with a water slide and bar, and the largest lobby with a huge cylindar fish tank called the "lobbyquarium" where many fish and marine reside, including a shark. By noticing the theme, some would say it would be every surfer's nightmare, but they would still come to it anyway. A large orca-themed bus always pulls up to the front doors of the hotel every day to bring guests from everywhere around the island to the hotel.
The resort even has a beach for tourists, or "kooks" as the staff like to refer them as where they could lounge in the sun play some sports, swim in the sea, or rather surf the big waves. They get their boards from the surf shack on the beach near the boardwalk. Among them, there was a young couple consisting of a boy with blue hair in swimtrunks and a girl with short, purple hair, piercings, and a purple bikini.
"Aren't you glad we picked this place to spend a week's holiday, Nikki?" asked the boy.
"Well, it's got a nice view, Jonesy," replied the girl.
"Well, how could it not be nice?" chuckled Jonesy. "The blue sky, the hot sun, the bright and blue water..."
"Okay, okay, I get it!" Nikki giggled. "But I bet you wish you were like them," she added, pointing to the surfers on the waves."
"Ummm... maybe," said Jonesy uneasily while Nikki chuckled again.
The resort also had a theatre, where Grojband was practicing their music for their upcoming gig. The room was empty, but they didn't mind that. It was a closed practice so nobody could see any possible flaws the band might have. By the time they were done practicing, they were very worn out.
"Awesome practice, everyone!" smiled Corey.
"I'd say lame-o practice, everyone!"
Hearing that deadly, yet familiar voice startled them and turned towards the entrance, gasping in horror to find what looks like a 17-year-old girl with braces and a pink hair in a ponytail and one with glasses and short-turquoise hair.
"Trina?!" exclaimed Corey.
"What are you doing here?" asked Laney.
"What does it look like?" asked Trina with a smug on her face. "Just heard that my baby brother was going to be performing at this resort and I thought I'd follow you guys and come to give him my support!" she added, giving Corey a noogie on his head.
"And by support, you mean ruin everything!" said Laney suspiciously.
"What?" asked Trina innocently. "Now why would I do that? I mean, as his big sister, giving him support is in fact my job. So, what's the point in sabatoging the whole concert where it could likely destroy his life including his friends, like this little guy right here?" she finished, pointing closely at Laney, who furiously made an attempt to bite her finger as Trina swiftly pulled it away. "Anyway... MINA!"
That's when a teenaged girl Trina's age with short-turquoise hair and glasses zipped in, stopping next to Trina with a clipboard in her hand.
"Already here!" she said with a smile.
"Good," said Trina before turning to the band. "Now, if you'll excuse me, my schedule says I have a spa appointment to attend in the next five minutes. I sure hope your concert goes well. It would be a real shame if something bad were to happen during it!" she sneered sarcastically before leaving with Mina, crackling evilly as she left.
The group of four were glad when she had gone. They went back upstairs to their assigned room to discuss the situation.
"Guys, this is bad!" exclaimed Corey. "Trina's going to ruin our concert. I don't know how, but I just know she will! And we worked so hard just to arrange it!"
"No duh," Laney rolled her eyes. "She's evil! She'll think of any way to destroy our band! She knows this is a surf resort and she also knows we don't even surf."
Corey began to think for a moment.
"Then again, neither does she," he said with a smug.
"What's with the look?" asked Laney before suddenly realizing it. "Oh no! Do not tell me you're going to sign her up for a surf session! How are you even going make her agree into going?!"
"The twins can mess with her schedule board a little bit while Mina's not looking," suggested Corey, jerking his thumb at Kin and Kon.
"Gotcha!" agreed Kin and Kon together with a thumb's up sign.
"Plus," Corey added. "We can also use the old 'Nick Mallory' key to get her into agreeing. And besides, the teachers always start small so there's no risk of Trina possibly drowning."
"Is this just to get us more lyrics?" asked Laney.
"That's part one," Corey said. "Part two is where we REALLY make sure she doesn't ruin the concert. That's where you come in Lanes." And he whispered something to her ear, making Laney smirk with delight.
"Now that I can do!" she said.
"That's the spirit, dude!" he said proudly, earning a frown from Laney. "Now, while there are still no clouds in the sky, lets get started!"
So, they began planning. But they, along with all the other people standing on Sunset Island, were completely oblivious that very far out in the Pacific Ocean, dark clouds were slowly starting to form together.
