Pokémon Return of Champion Chapter 4 The Truth
May looked herself in the mirror, making some more minor adjustments to her look. For some reason, May wanted to look her best for Aaron, and she honestly couldn't figure out why. "Well he is pretty handsome," May thought to herself while she blushed a very bright shade of pink.
May wanted and even tried to move on from Ash, but no matter who she tried to date, she could see Ash, and when dating Drew, she would even feel guilty about dating Drew, and Drew didn't help matters much, as he was an asshole to her; he never laid a finger on her, as he knew that he would deal with an angry father, but he wasn't nice to her either, with making many degrading comments towards her that would hurt her confidence and make her cry, and he would make comments about Ash, and that would make May angry and sad, angry for hearing Drew talk about Ash in such a way, and sad for hearing Ash's name again.
May had a crush slowly growing on Aaron, as honestly Aaron remained her of Ash, but Ash was in the back of her head, and she never knew if she could ever more. She promised herself to try her best to move on from Ash, but she knew it wouldn't be easy for her to move. May shook those thoughts out of her head while also blushing heavily. She got out of the bathroom and back into the hotel room, where she saw her younger brother fooling around with his Pokenav, which wasn't highly unusual for him. She cleared her throat, to gain her brother's attention, to which he snapped his head back at her. "What?" He asked, sounding kind of annoyed.
"Sorry to interrupt with your precious PokeNav, but how do I look?" She asked her brother.
Max rolled his eyes in annoyance, a small smirk appearing on his face. "Ugly" He said while chuckling.
May could obviously tell that her brother was joking with her: "Shut it, Max, be serious. How do I look?" May asked again, her voice mixed with anger and annoyance.
"You look great, sis." He was quick to reply, not wanting to make his sister angry.
May wasn't normally an angry person, but you didn't want to deal with her when she was angry "Thanks," She said.
"Why do you care anyway? Do you want to look good for Aaron?" Max asked teasingly.
May slightly blushed and gave her brother a glare, telling him to shut it. "Seriously, why do you care how you look?" Max asked her.
May looked down at the ground and twiddled her fingers nervously. "I don't know," She replied honestly.
Max smiled. "Maybe you're finally moving on, sis," He said.
May smiled. "Max, I don't know If I could ever on, but I'm going to try my best," May said.
Max gave his a sister a loving hug. "I'm proud of you, sis," He said in the hug.
May smiled. "Thanks, Max," She said.
After releasing herself from the hug, May left the hotel room and began making her way over to the bar. She saw Aaron hadn't arrived yet, so she just stood outside of the bar and waited for his arrival.
Back with Ash in the Hotel Room
Ash looked over himself one last time in the mirror, He didn't know why, he wanted to look for his May. "Master Ash, want to look your best for Mistress May?" Lucario asked him in a teasing manner.
Ash glared at Lucario; this was a very common occurrence between the two, as Lucario loved to tease its trainer. "I wish you would shut it, Lucario," Ash said to him.
Lucario could only let out a chuckle in reply, and then Ash realized, "Wait, why do you call May, Mistress May?" Ash asked.
Lucario shrugged his shoulders. "I don't know, you two seem very close." Lucario said the last part in a teasing manner.
Ash blushed, making Lucario along Pikachu chuckle, and this only made Ash sigh: "You two love to tease me, don't you?" Ash asked them both.
"Yes, Pika (Yes)" Both Pikachu and Lucario said at the same time.
Ash finally got ready, and Pikachu jumped on his shoulder, while Lucario stayed in the hotel. While walking to the bar, Ash decided to ask Pikachu on what he thought about May "Pika (I like her, she seems very trustworthy)" Pikachu replied.
"Yeah, she does seem trustworthy; I don't get the same feeling with her as with the other traitors," Ash confessed to him.
"Pika (Yeah, maybe she'll me so ketchup)" Pikachu replied.
Ash chuckled at his partner Pokémon's obsession and love for ketchup, but a long time ago Ash tried to stop Pikachu from eating too much ketchup, only giving him ketchup every now and then. His obsession had seemed to be under control, but when Pikachu would crave ketchup, he would use his electric powers to his advantage, as when Ash told him no, Pikachu used thunderbolt on him to get his way.
Ash arrived at the bar, and he saw May waiting outside of the bar for him. "Hey May, you look beautiful." He greeted her.
May blushed a bright shade of pink "Thanks...you look handsome," She greeted back.
Ever since Ash had left, Ash had become less dense, and he had actually become more attracted to more women and even flirted with some of them, and Ash had gained some attention from women as well. From all the working out he has done since leaving, Pikachu jumped from Ash's shoulder to May's shoulder and nuzzled May's cheek affectionately, causing her to giggle. May petted Pikachu in reply, making Pikachu coo in reply, "Pika (Can you give some ketchup?" Pikachu asked May.
May looked at Ash. "He asked you if you could give him so ketchup, which he is banned from," Ash told May.
May giggled and pulled a packet of ketchup from her bag, to which Pikachu quickly grabbed from her and began eating, making May giggle at the cute scene "Why do you have ketchup in your bag?" Ash asked her curiously.
"For some reason, Glaceon and Pichu love this stuff," May said.
Ash chuckled, knowing the reason why Glaceon loves ketchup so much. "Speaking of which, where is your Glaceon?" Ash asked her.
May looked confused at him. "How do you know Glaceon walks beside me?" May asked him.
Ash looked stunned for a second. "I saw you compete in contests before and noticed Glaceon walking with you." Ash was quick to reply, hoping May would believe him.
It looked like May bought it, and she released her Glaceon from her pokeball. Glaceon greeted her trainer by nuzzling her leg affectionately, and to May's shock, Glaceon went over to Aaron and nuzzled his leg, to which Aaron petted the ice-type Pokemon. "Wow, Glaceon seems to really like you," May said while smiling.
Aaron nervously chuckled. "Yeah it seems like it," Ash said while playing it off on why Glaceon was nuzzling.
Glaceon then looked on May's shoulder, where Pikachu was currently perched on "Glaceon (Hello Pikachu)" Glaceon greeted her crush.
Pikachu jumped down onto the ground and greeted Glaceon, to which Glaceon licked his cheek lovingly, May looked at the scene with suspicion. Between Aaron looking a lot like Ash, with the Pikachu on his shoulder, with the love of ketchup, and the way Glaceon was with Pikachu, she was beginning to grow suspicious of Aaron, but let it slide for now, just wanting to know about Ash. "Can we talk about Ash now?" May asked.
"Sure, let's go into the bar," Aaron said.
May walked into the bar hesitantly. May wasn't too fond of bars, as she hardly ever drank, and she was had a couple of bad experiences with guys in bars, which made her hesitant to enter the bar. Though this was for Ash, Aaron, through Aura, noticed May being hesitant and nervous. "May, don't worry, I won't let anybody hurt," Aaron said to her.
"How do you know that I was nervous?" May asked curiously.
"I'm just good at reading people," Ash said, which was half of the truth.
As soon as May entered the bar, all eyes were on her. May became nervous with all of the men's eyes on her. She had honestly dealt with men staring at her before, as they would during contests, but she could never get used to the feeling, and it would always make her nervous when men would stare at her. Aaron, sensing her nervousness through his Aura, grabbed her hand and squeezed it affectionately. May instantly calmed down at the touch of Aaron, but she also blushed, and she was quite confused, as Ash was the only person who she knew could calm her down this fast.
May and Ash sat at the bar, when a rough-looking man approached him, with his eyes locked on May, making May nervous again. "Hey gorgeous, how about you and me have some fun?" The man asked, who was clearly very intoxicated, with his breath reeking of alcohol.
"No...thank you," May quietly said, During these situations, May would become afraid and shy.
Aaron could feel his anger with the man, but he was sent over the edge when the man grabbed May's butt, causing her to squeal. Ash quickly became enraged, his with eyes flickering with red, and he shot an aura sphere at the man, sending the man flying, to the astonishment of everyone in the bar. This sent a warning to everyone in the bar, to leave May alone.
When Aaron sat down, May gave him a peck on the cheek, making both of them blush. "Thanks for saving me." She thanked her hero.
Aaron smiled. "It's no problem," Aaron replied.
May and Aaron's attention was turned towards their Pokémon, as Pikachu, Glaceon, and Pichu were fighting over the ketchup packet, which was pretty funny and cute. Pikachu had decided to share his ketchup packet, but soon Glaceon began taking the ketchup packet for herself, and it soon caused a fight between the two Pokemon. May and Aaron tried to break up the fight while also laughing at the funny situation. But knowing they couldn't break up the fight, May gave in and gave both Pikachu and Glaceon their own ketchup packets, while also giving her Pichu a ketchup packet. Pichu took his usual spot on May's shoulder and began licking the ketchup packet, making May giggle at Pichu's cuteness.
"Pika (See, I told you that she would give me ketchup)" Pikachu gloated to his trainer.
Aaron only rolled his eyes in reply, The bartender then asked May and Ash what they wanted to drink; May ordered a bottle of beer while Ash ordered a whiskey. Ash poured the whiskey into a shot glass and downed the whiskey without any problem, much to May's shock. Since Ash left, he had drunk quite often, but he wasn't an alcoholic.
May took a sip of her beer. "So, you said Ash is doing good?" May asked Aaron again.
"Yeah, the last time I talked to him was," Aaron replied.
"Does he mention me?" May asked him.
"Yeah, I heard your name mentioned a couple times," Aaron replied.
May smiled and blushed at the same time, from hearing that Ash still talked about her. "What does he say?" May asked while sipping on a bottle of beer.
"Well, he says that you were very beautiful; he says that you were sweet and caring; and he says that he was very proud of you," Aaron told her.
May smiled and her heart fluttered at hearing of what Ash said about her. She couldn't believe that Ash was still talking about her. "So, why did Ash leave?" May asked.
"You don't know?" Aaron asked back while taking a shot of whiskey.
May nodded her head no in reply. "His friends betrayed him, and he left," Aaron confessed to her.
May's eyes widened at hearing the shocking revelation, but it soon turned to anger at the realization that they had turned their back on such an amazing person. "That's awful; I always suspected that something else happened, but I never would have thought they would do that," May said with anger rising in her voice.
"Yeah, how come you don't know about it?" Aaron asked her curiously.
"I wasn't there; me and my brother had a gym leader meeting and we were late, when he got there, Ash was gone, and our friends told us that he left," May replied while drinking her bottle of beer.
Ash's eye widened. All this time, Ash held anger and hatred for May, and now he learned that she wasn't even there, Guilt washed over him. All the negative thoughts he used to have for May and the ill will he held towards her were gone. "Hey, do you think I could talk to Ash?" May asked, snapping Aaron out of his trance.
Aaron looked at her and smiled, then smirked. "I'm sure I can arrange something," Aaron said.
May's eyes lit up, and she gave Aaron a big hug. "Thank you," She said over and over again.
Aaron chuckled. He thought about how May got Pichu and how she got that scar on her arm. "Hey May, how do you get Pichu?" Aaron asked her.
May sighed "Okay, I'll tell you" She said
Flashback
May was walking through Peatblburg woods to clear her mind, but she was having trouble with her mind focusing on Ash. She let out a sigh and a few tears cascading down her cheeks. She then heard something "Pichu" She heard it call out wealky.
May ran to where the noise came from, and she quickly found a very injured Pichu. "Oh my gosh," she said, in shock. The Pichu looked to be in very bad condition.
May scooped the hurt Pichu into her arms. The Pichu used a very weak thunderbolt on May, as it was scared of her. Luckily, though the Pichu was too hurt and weak for the thunderbolt, it did hurt a little, making May flinch in pain, but that didn't matter to her, as Pichu's health was now the only thing on her mind. May quickly ran into the Pokémon center, as Pichu continued to weakly thunderbolt her, making her scream a little in pain, but she pushed through the pain.
She ran into the Pokemon Center. "Nurse Joy, this Pichu is seriously hurt," May told Nurse Joy.
Nurse Joy "Oh my, this looks bad," Nurse Joy said, concern in her voice.
Chansey immediately brought a stretcher and brought the Pichu into the infirmary. May had to wait outside of the Pokemon Center with worry in her mind. After waiting a long time, May could feel herself getting tired, and soon she drifted off to sleep. She was woken up a couple of hours later, by hearing Nurse Joy calling her name. She tiredly rubbed her eyes and asked, "Nurse Joy, how is Pichu?" May asked with concern in her voice.
Nurse Joy smiled at hearing how much concern May had for the Pokemon. She let out a sigh: "Pichu pulled through, but it's going to be a long recovery for it. Do you know what happened?" Nurse Joy asked her.
"No, I don't; I was walking through Peatlburg Woods and found it there," May replied.
"Well, it's a good thing you need, if you hadn't found it, it would mostly die," Nurse Joy reveled.
May gasped, and a few tears were pricking out of the her eyes. "Can I see it?" May asked her.
"Yes, you can, but it's still sleeping," said Nurse Joy.
Nurse Joy brought May to the infamy and to Pichu and May's heart broke at the sight of the little Pichu, May found a chair and sat right beside the bed and began petting the Pichu, That's where May stayed for the next week, Pichu still hasn't woken up, but Nurse Joy told that her that it was nothing to be worried about. One night, May was woken to the sounds of the Pichu crying its name. "Pichu you're awake," She said, wrapping the Pokémon in a hug.
Pichu, though was still scared of May, a let out another Thunderbolt, though this time it was full power. May screamed in agony, and pain racked her body, but she still held onto the Pokémon. May then began humming a song (The one from Jirachi Wish Maker) and it instantly calmed down the Pichu. May removed herself from the hug and looked right into Pichu's eyes. "Don't worry, Pichu, I'm not going to hurt you," She said soothingly.
That seemed to make the Pichu trust May, and Pichu then had a look of shame on its face. "Pichu" He apologized to May.
May sightly giggled. "Don't worry, Pichu, I'm not mad at you," May said.
Pichu then happily jumped onto her shoulder and nuzzled her cheeks lovingly, making May giggle. Nurse Joy then released Pichu from the hospital, with Nurse Joy asking to keep a good eye on it, and May promised she would, as they were leaving the Pokémon center. Pichu pointed to May's bandana. "Pichu' It said.
"You like my bandana?" May questioned Pichu.
The Pichu nodded its head yes "Pichu?" It asked.
"You want one like mine?" May asked while softly smiling.
It nodded his head yes again, and May softly giggled. "Well, I promise you will find you one somewhere," She said.
"That Pichu was so weak and pathetic," A voice said.
May turned her head towards where the voice was coming from, and she could feel her anger rising. "I should have gotten rid of that thing a long time ago," The boy said with a smirk on his face.
That's it. May went over to the boy and gained his attention, The boy turned around and immediately began checking May out. "Hey babe, how can I help you?" The boy asked.
May then gave him a quick, swift, kick to his groin area, making the boy crumple to the ground in pain.
End Flashback
Aaron looked at May. "Wow, what a sad story, but at least you got some revenge on the trainer," Aaron said.
May sightly giggled at remembering kicking the trainer in the balls. "Yeah, it felt good, and me and Pichu have bonded ever since," May said while glancing at Pichu, who had just finished its ketchup packet, its mouth covered in the red liquid.
May giggled and used a handkerchief to wipe Pichu's mouth off. "Why is that scar on your arm?" Aaron asked her.
May stood there frozen, and Aaron could tell from her Aura that she was uncomfortable. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have brought that up," Aaron quickly apologized.
May looked at Aaron. "No it's okay; I'll tell you," She said.
"When Ash left, I became really depressed, and I cut myself one night. My parents found me, and they rushed me to the hospital, where I thankfully survived." May confessed, by the time she was done, she had broken down in tears.
Aaron wrapped her in a hug and began rubbing her back comfortingly, and he felt even more guilty after hearing her story. After she was done crying, May went back to drinking; the stories she told had hit her hard, and she was missing Ash. She drunk bottle after bottle, with her drinking 5 bottles of beer, and she was now drunk, and she was the handsy type of drunk.
Her hands went everywhere on Aaron's body, including a very private area. Aaron, usually not one to show emotion, couldn't help but feel a little embarrassed. "C'mon here, big boy," She told him, her breath reeking with alcohol.
A couple of guys in the bar tried to take advantage of drunken May. Aaron quickly put May on his back and began taking her to his hotel room, to avoid a situation. May snuggled into Aaron's back, and she was saying very suggestive things to him, which made Aaron blush. Soon he heard her stop talking, and now he could only hear her snores, which were quite cute, honestly.
Aaron brought May back to his room and laid her down on his bed. When he was about to leave, her hand grabbed him, and her face turned into a frown. "Don't leave Ash," She said in her sleep.
A wave of guilt washed over him, as he heard the words escape from her mouth. Aaron went over to her and gave her a peck on the forehead. "Night May," He said to her.
Aaron then exited the the room and went over to the couch to sleep. Unknown to him, the frown on May's face had now turned into a smile.
Meanwhile, Back at the Bar
Just as May and Aaron had left, a green-haired boy had just entered the bar, searching for someone in particular. When he finally found who he was searching for, he went over to him and sat down. "I heard you take care of people?" The green-haired boy asked the mysterious man.
The man let out an evil chuckle. "Yeah, I do' The man replied in a cold voice, sending shivers down the green-haired boy's spine.
"Well, I need you to take care of someone for me." The green-haired boy asked the man.
