'Mione,

I miss you. I know you feel the same way, just send me a sign and I'll take you away from that place. I'll even forgive you for allowing them to trick you. Mum and Ginny keep telling me to give up, but I can't. I know you're not dead, 'Mione. You're mine.

Ron

'Mione,

I know that you got my last message because the owl came back without it attached. I feel like I can remember something about you, but I can't quite remember what. Where are you, 'Mione? Have you decided to shack up with Harry now that he broke Ginny's heart? It wouldn't surprise me, neither of you were ever very loyal. I'll forgive you for that too though. Just let me know where you are so I can come and get you. I love you. I know you love me too.

Ron

Please. I know I've forgotten something, but I don't know what! Come back to me.

Ron

Hermione shuddered at Ron's increasingly unhinged letters. Theo had taken to having them collected and scanned for curses before he deposited them. He was sending one every day. He must have tried to tell their secret as it seemed he couldn't remember just who Myuh Malfoy-Nott really was. He was delusional. She almost felt bad for him, but then was reminded about the things he said.

Theo and Draco had made a drinking game out of the letters one evening, everytime he claimed Hermione or said that he loved her or said that she wasn't dead, they'd take a shot. She'd had to take away the bottle after six letters as they were already practically falling over themselves. A bit of her was pleased to see them giggling, like they were University students.

Hermione stroked her stomach, it was ridiculous that Ron thought they'd ever be anything. He was just as blind to it all as he ever had been.

After the Gryffindor Quidditch Match Sixth Year

Hermione was frustrated with both Theo and Draco. Draco had been isolating from both of them, but instead of talking about it like a logical human being, he'd decided to lash out at her when she tried to help him. Theo had taken his side, telling her that she was being a bit overbearing. So she'd gone to the Gryffindor Quidditch Party and drank more than she should have. When Lavender and Ron kissed, she couldn't hold back her eye roll. She felt eyes watching her reaction, and with a huff spun and left the Common Room, she had to find her boys.

"Ahem," she cleared her throat loudly when she finally found Theo and Draco. She tried to ignore the pang of hurt when she saw how Theo had Draco pushed against the wall. It was like they'd forgotten all about her, they were so wrapped up in themselves. Theo rested his head against Draco's shoulder who just looked at her guiltily. "I suppose this is too overbearing as well?" she whispered. "I'll just go-" she spun and ran through the halls, quickly losing them as she took secret passageways.

She found herself sitting in an empty classroom, practising spellwork. Harry came in, she assumed to comfort her about Ron, when Ron and Lavender came bursting in the room. Hermione practically growled and stomped away again. What she wouldn't give for a little peace and quiet.

The next day, Draco and Theo dragged her into another empty classroom. "I'm sorry," Draco said softly. "I've just been so overwhelmed. I just need a bit more space so that I have something to show Tom when he questions me. I can explain away Theo as stress release, but you…"

"How could you explain the little Mudblood who follows you around?" she spat.

"Hey now," Theo said, coming to her side.

"Don't 'hey now' me, Theodore Nott!" she said, turning to him. "I seem to recall you talking Draco's side in all this."

"Hermione, there are no sides!" Draco said softly. "Sometimes we just have to do things we don't want to do."

Present Day (10/27/1998)

"Where did you go?" Theo asked, pulling at her braid.

"Just remembering Ron's delusions and how everyone was so convinced I was gutted about him Sixth Year," she said with a sigh.

"Gods, I can't apologise enough for that," Draco said, kneeling between her knees. "I didn't' know how to talk about everything and I think you got the brunt of it from both Theo and I."

"I'd love to blame the fact that we were stupid teenage boys, but it's no excuse for treating you that way," Theo said.

"I know," Hermione said, smiling at them. "Good thing you two have such a forgiving and wise wife. Everything we've been through has led us to where we are."
