-SLO MO (BULLET TIME) BEGINS-
Honda stared gobsmacked at the size of the winged steed that approached him. He didn't expect that the enemy would be capable of using air support, especially with Atalanta at the top of the tower providing covering fire. Then again, considering the apparent speed of the overgrown mount, perhaps that was all part of the immersion.
'Check out that big ass horse! It's the size of a goddamn truck!' Honda stared in amazement at the pure white steed that stampeded towards his position. Its speed was phenomenal, capable of sound breaking waltzes through the skies above as it made its way to carry out this assassination attempt.
As it careened through the air with an air dive using its angelic wings, Honda couldn't help but admire the steed practically being at least four times the usual size a horse normally was. Perhaps it was all a cinematic optical illusion that the Holy Nail War used to make the horse appear bigger. Or maybe it was well crafted animatronic. Regardless it still amazed the enraptured magician.
Honda did not have time to react physically. Being that he was only a regular human, he lacked the speed that was necessary to avoid or dodge the oversized horse that attempted to skewer him. Combined with his sheer admiration of such a noble creature in his presence, he was caught off guard.
At the same time, he couldn't help but notice that there was something else that drew his gaze. More specifically, it was a person.
A black garbed woman rode the enormous pale warhorse. With her Rapunzel sized pink locks flayed against the wind, it swerved as if like a wave of coral against the currently gleaming moonlit sky. Her eyes were unknown to the performer due to the blindfold that obscured her eyes from his gaze. He did know one thing in particular.
'It's that same servant whose copying Assassin's wardrobe. The one who saved that other master from earlier. Seeing her closer now I gotta admit, she's quite a looker. Got an hourglass figure as well! She's a total hottie! And there's that blindfold…oh I get it! She's a bdsm type servant!'
The poor magician failed to understand the danger that he was currently in, too distracted in a carnal induced manner to really conjure a well formulated yet immediate escape plan.
As the oversized beast closed in on Honda by mere centimeters.
BANG
A loud gunshot rippled the air. A large prana infused shell had found its way embedded into the torso of the winged Pegasus, tearing deeply into its majestically crafted frame with a prominent spew of red.
Sfx: Pained Horse whine
The Pegasus was pushed back from the prana infused buckshot that penetrated its grand frame. Though the shot had made its mark, the steed remained upright, albeit caught off the guard from the surprisingly accurate close range burst. Unlike normal horses it would take a lot more than one shot to put the mighty Pegasus down.
Stria looked behind her, her homunculus reflexes being more advanced than a normal human's enabled her to witness the source of the prana bolt that made its mark.
Upon close analysis she noticed that Miki and Niki held a steaming prana rifle in their hands. Niki held the left side to pull the trigger whilst Miki balanced the rifle barrel, ensuring that the oversized weapon would make the shot. The odd thing about this stroke of luck was that Niki's eyes were tightly shut, her lips pouting as she unleashed the projectile. Miki had furrowed eyebrows, a focused expression on her face as she aided the more mature maid in dishing out the rather well timed shot.
'Did…did Niki just fire blindly!?' Stria thought to herself.
As the horse raised it's hooves to make a fatal strike against Honda.
BASH
The Pegasus took a heavy haymaker courtesy of Ebony who out of protective instinct decked the giant horse on its right side, away from Honda's direction, forcing the steed to shift its trajectory away from the Warlock in order to not avoid a rather unfortunate end by the massive golem.
'Looks like it's my turn! Let's go!' Honda hyped himself, taking advantage of the clearly distracted and misguided horse that attempted to escape. With a flick of his wrists, Honda released the phantom wire he had on his person, connected to his belt in a large roll of the material. With it, he used the immaterial alchemical compound to wrap around the obscenely sized horse. It specifically wrapped around the oversized booty deluxe 9000 that the divine steed was packing.
Whilst doing so he leapt off the ledge of the platform from which he originally resided, letting gravity do all the work. As the horse passed the eighth magus, the grand mount hauled him away in mid air. Honda's phantom wire proved strong enough to both maintain a solid grip on the summoned beast whilst also supporting the magician himself from falling to his end. Ebony let out a drawled out grumble reaching her titan sized hand towards her now vulnerable master.
-SLO MO (BULLET TIME) ENDS-
Due to the near transparent nature of phantom wire, Niki and Miki were confused by what they witnessed.
"I wasn't aware that Lord Honda could fly." Niki said offhandedly.
Miki nodded, agreeing with her elder maid sister. "That is quite an achievement."
Stria immediately tried to run towards the edge of the top of the tower nearly throwing herself to save Honda. Miki and Niki however pulled her from doing so by her arms. The oversized horse had outpaced her. Had Stria thrown herself, the attempt would have resulted in her own demise via falling to a rather gruesome death.
"Honda!" Stria called out worriedly. The night breeze brushed past her messy silver locks. With her left hand outstretched, Stria desperately wanted to reach for Honda, who was now under the mercy of a servant's power.
"You musn't my lady! You cannot fly." Miki warned Stria.
"Suicide is not the answer for your misfortune in genetics! The results would be very messy!" Niki informed her mistress.
It would appear that to the two maids, that Stria was contemplating suicide due to the fact that she herself couldn't fly, as opposed to the fact that Honda was literally in harm's way.
Honda could be heard calling out to the three. His voice echoed with the vast amount of air space.
"Hey look I'm flying!" Honda squealed out as he enjoyed what to him appeared to be the ride portion of the Holy Nail War.
'Oh shit! This is crazy! I'm doing an epic showdown mid-flight, just like the script said. These Holy Nail War guys know how to keep things fresh! I bet there's cranes that are keeping us up at this very moment.'
Honda looked down at the ensuing battle. "The battle sure is heating up! Looks like Mordred and Saber are handling things perfectly. Those girls make pro stuntmen look like amateurs."
Honda peeked at the Jade Basilisk.
"That big ass snake certainly looks like trouble."
'I wonder if I could join in the battle soon, looks lit! I want in the front lines!' Honda thought to himself before focusing on the task at hand.
Honda peeked at the Rider class servant who controlled the Pegasus. She glanced at Honda with a slight frown on her lips as her original plan to execute Honda was proving to be more difficult than originally intended.
'That magus is a crafty one, who'd have thought that he already had defenses in place. Based on the defenses placed on the tower walls, and the efficiency of the guards, I could already tell that he is an experienced commander.' Rider thought to herself, somewhat impressed by the prevalent leadership of the unknown magus that held onto her horse.
Looking downward, Rider was able to notice Saber and Mordred at the walls.
'The fact that he feels confident enough to remain unattended by those two servants is a testament to his confidence in his battle plans, as well as his own personal battle prowess.' Rider concluded, having no idea that Honda was, in fact, not an experienced commander and was not a magus to begin with.
-Honda Vision Start-
Amidst the cloudy moonlit sky, Honda found himself under the mercy of gravity and air. Under him stood the ground where countless stray prana bolts were fired and above him was the pure white steed. Riding it was the ravenously buxom bdsm servant who challenged him.
[Note: Your decisions up to now have led to this point. A battle of approaches!]
Rider looked at Honda with her blindfold obscuring her eyes. With an exaggerated seductive purr she spoke with the dialogue box appearing. Her body language appeared sensual, with her hands beckoning Honda in a come hither manner.
[Rider: "I will break you in as my personal slave."]
[Conflict: A great threat stands in your path! BOSS FIGHT IMMINENT!]
[Dominate the Blind Rider in order to win this battle and obtain her as a new servant. Fail and you will become her slave.]
[DECIDE YOUR FATE!]
-Honda Vision End-
'I'm gonna be honest either way sounds good to me. But I do want to win so looks like my opponent is one I'm gonna have to dominate up close and "personal". I'm loving the sound of this one!' Honda thought to himself, licking his lips from within his mask.
Honda turned towards the homunculi he accidentally left behind. He still had to command them after all. He had to establish a chain of command with his absence.
"Don't worry girls, I got this one! Ebony, take care of that big ass snake! Stria I'll leave the rest to you! I'm gonna try to tame this servant!" Honda giddily let out as he held onto the phantom wire like a rope that was wrapped around the large white horse. He began to climb.
Stria widened her eyes. 'No! He can't fight a servant by himself. Especially now that he's separated from Ebony! If he fights that Rider class servant he'll be killed!'
Before the trio of homunculi could react, Ebony immediately shifted into her feminine form. The body was smaller but more lithe and gracefully feminine, more built for agility as opposed to the brute strength its normal golem form enabled. The usual golem form shifted dramatically with an indigo colored flame coated mane of wispy flame-like 'hair'. The prana infused construct looked between the wall and her master who was holding on for dear life midair.
Stria begged the golem. "Please Ebony, save Honda!"
Ebony seemed to debate at an internal level, hesitant between following Honda's order to fight the beast at the wall and saving his life from immediate danger.
The rune that was carved into her chest after taking Deacon's command seal glowed as Ebony attempted to steer in Honda's direction before it began pulsing. Ebony staggered and sporadically shifted towards the Jade Basilisk, compelled by her own design to follow the direct command of her master.
With an audible and high pitched sigh that emanated in Ebony's chest the struggling golem reluctantly flew towards the wall in a burst of indigo particles, to stop the Jade Basilisk as commanded.
Stria widened her eyes at the sight. For a second it looked like the golem was rejecting Honda's original order. In the end however, it didn't matter, as the golem sought the snake she was commanded to destroy. This was merely something the albino would have to keep in mind for later.
"We'll have to do this on our own…Archer!" Stria called for the green headed cat girl, who had already recovered from the fast movement of the Rider class mount. In her left hand she had several arrows in between her fingers that were ready to be used.
"Don't worry, I'm on it." Atalanta said before she raised her bow, having to force herself upright due to using her noble phantasm earlier. She aimed along with Stria who pulled out a sniper rifle from a rune that glowed on her spine to help Honda.
Atalanta and Stria began firing at Rider, who steered her attention away from Honda in favor of avoiding the projectiles that threatened her steed. The Pegasus was a mighty mount in its own right, however it was not a creature built for punishment. If the Pegasus were to collapse she would have to be forced to deal with the ensuing crash as well as the many homunculi within the estate. This was supposed to be a hit and run attack, and as a Rider class servant, she would not be able to outdo the Saber and Avenger class servant beneath her. In fact, were she to fight, the end result would be a one sided slaughter.
Niki glanced at the bronze walls where the snake and undead swarmed. Gazing at the giant reptile by the gates, she tilted her head in a questioning manner before she simply poked Miki on the side. With a neutral facial expression she whispered to Miki.
"Take care of mistress Stria while I'm away. I should be back shortly."
Miki stared on as Niki simply walked off as if she was simply going to go clean. Miki tilted her head confusedly.
"I suppose I can…" Miki said albeit confusedly. Being the youngest of the two, Miki merely followed the chain of command to the more experienced maid.
Miki whipped out a hair brush and began to brush Stria's messy hair, prompting the chauffeur to look at her confusedly as she fired at Rider.
"Um, Miki? What are you doing?" Stria asked before firing again.
Miki replied nonchalantly. "I'm taking care of you. Is that so strange?"
"Not now!"
Miki sweatdropped. "Apologies…"
She simply laid out some spare prana rifles and arrows in case Stria or Atalanta needed them.
-Eastern Wall-
Meanwhile on the Eastern Wall where Saber and Idores resided, the Jade Basilisk made its way straight towards their position, specifically to where Idores was currently standing.
Idores was astounded at the speed of the giant snake despite its overwhelming size. Even with her own training with magecraft as well as combat there was no way for her to really mount a proper evasive maneuver. She specialized as a frost mage and mindflayer, however both of those would do very little against a massive summoned beast of this magnitude.
BOOM
Within the eardrums of the Velune family head, she could hear a prominent sonic boom. She didn't have much time to gaze at the source of the sound. All she could keep her eyes on was the reptilian monstrosity that encroached upon her. Idores could only simply close her eyes as she embraced the fate of her own end.
SHING
A metallic reverb echoes against Idores' ears as she clenched her eyes.
As she opened them after a pause, Idores glazed upon a rather incredible sight.
Saber had practically darted into the Jade Basilisk's vicinity, using her wind sword to land a hard hitting swing of her holy sword. It pierced the hide of the thick scaled monstrosity, however it wasn't a defeating blow.
'This hide is incredibly thick, it would take a lot more than this to slay the beast.' Saber deduced before using the Jade Basilisk's hide as a makeshift wall to jump from, kicking against its face.
The amount of force from the bludgeoning of her metallic greaves was enough to force the Jade Basilisk back from the Eastern Wall. Saber was able to place herself back at the wall due to her agile movements.
CRACKLE
Rocks spewed from the ground as the beast was repelled by the Saber class servant. It hissed vehemently from the large impact.
Befitting a predator, the beast adapted and kept it's narrowed reptilian eyes on Saber as opposed to to its original target.
The green runes that decorated it's scales glew an emerald glow. The beast raised it's head as the glow spread from its tail all the way to the base of its neck.
Saber widened her eyes as her own battle instincts warned her that the monstrosity was about to use a long ranged attack.
The King of Camelot was correct in her analysis. The oversized snake unleashed a torrent of green tinted flame towards the Eastern Wall. Despite being fire, the velocity of the attack was powerful enough to be more of a cannon than a simple gust of emerald encrusted flame.
Idores, due to her own expertise with the elements, immediately dished out her own countermeasure. If this beast was to utilize flame, then she would counter with ice based magecraft.
Idores chanted her magecraft. "Album Gelu Scutum (Latin for 'white frost shield')!"
With both palms outstretched the Velune homunculus unveiled a large wall of frost that enveloped the entirety of the Eastern Wall, protecting herself from the large green flame shot of the Jade Basilisk.
This momentary defense served well to stave off the grand beast that continuously fired against the hardened crystalline wall. Steam spread throughout the air as the flame made contact against the subzero defenses.
The other homunculi defending the Eastern Wall cheered for Idores as she held on.
Saber was next to Idores. She smiled towards her gratefully for the assistance. Had she not conjured an ice wall, the flames of the Jade Basilisk would have burned her alive. "Thanks for the support, Idores."
Idores blushed from the praise. 'I can see why Honda loves being a performer…it is quite invigorating to be in the spotlight.'
Idores shook her head of her thoughts. She couldn't believe that once again she was thinking about something relating to the street magician.
"Are you alright Idores, your face seems to be red." Saber asked, the usually stoic king unable to read the pale magus' body language.
"It's…it's nothing…" Idores weakly played it off as if the praise didn't effect her. The light tinge of red on her cheeks however showed what words could not.
On the western wall, Mordred took full advantage of the exposed Jade Basilisk. With a wave of her left hand she commanded her homunculi battalion.
"Okay squires, fire on that fork tongued bastard! Looks like meat's back on the menu!"
The homunculi fired on to the giant basilisk unleashing a devastating bombardment of prana fire against its Jade encrusted hide.
Holes and impacts were made prominent against its hide, where bits of scales tore off and made it's insides bare. Small streams of a glowing green blood dropped against the right side of the Jade Basilisk.
The monumental amount of damage that the Basilisk took caused it to flinch, stopping its fiery attack in favor of much needed evasion.
It turned towards the Western Wall. It focused its green gem-carved eyes towards the legendary red cladded knight. It leaped forward to do battle with the exposed Western wall units. Unfortunately for the Western Wall they lacked any form of defensive measure to protect or counter against its attacks.
Sfx: Angry snake hiss
Mordred pulled out her blade ready to fight against the giant snake. With a challenging smirk the ravenous blonde grinned with her fangs clearly prominent on her face.
"Come on, bring it on! I could use a new snakeskin jacket!" Mordred challenged the summoned beast, as reddish prana electrified the air around her enabling her to power her sword. She was about to use her Noble Phantasm to cleave this beast into two. This would be a battle worthy of a servant like herself, one that would be a glorious tale to brag about, especially now that her 'father' was here to witness this titanic battle of man against beast.
The moment the grand monstrosity approached the Western Wall was the same moment that Ebony the golem finally entered the fray. She somersaulted through the air as if gravity had no power over her. With a graceful heel drop the usually brutish golem landed a devastatingly powerful and stylized heel kick downward that launched the Jade Basilisk straight into the ground right where several battalions of undead soldiers stood. The explosive impact caused a tidal wave of bones to spew out against the ground indicating the many units that were lost on the enemy's side.
One could hear the rattling of piles of bones as the snake flinched and twitched against the ground, stunned by the overwhelming power of the golem that was barely the size of three men. Compared to its own towering frame, the golem should not have been able to land such a powerful and near crippling blow.
Mordred deadpanned at the golem that belonged to Honda. She stared for a good 3 seconds before her face shifted into an irritated expression.
"Hey that was my job don't you have to take care of Honda!? You stole my moment!" Mordred protested as Ebony took the glory that the Avenger was looking for. The golem turned towards her and simply let out an audible hum. It seemed to be trying to communicate, however the indecipherable combinations of grumbles and hums left Mordred stumped as to what the automaton was trying to say.
Mordred sweat dropped. She couldn't understand whatever the hell that the golem was trying to say. Considering that she has never spoken thus far, the traitor night found this pointless and shrugged her shoulders.
"Never mind…it's pointless to try to get through to you…wait a minute, you look completely different, what's up with the new look!?" Mordred sulked, looking at her breasts size and Ebony's before pouting.
"Seriously…no fair…" Mordred whined in a kid-like manner before she looked towards Honda's tower, only to see with her razor sharp eyesight the large Pegasus atop of the entire estate. Dangling on the horse's supreme gluteus maximus, was none other than Honda. A mere shifting of her eyes was all it took to notice the servant that had accompanied Silva Busujima.
"Honda!" Mordred called out in concern and shock. She had not known that Honda was being attacked by another servant from the sky. To make matters worse was he actually trying to fight said servant. To do so for a magus was practically suicide.
BASH
BOOM
CRACKLE
The ground rumbled. The entire Western Wall shook as the Jade Basilisk had forfeited a direct assault in favor of simply smashing its body against the bottom of the Western Wall. Runes that were designed into the walls themselves provided a barricade that prevented foreign prana energies from seeping through; however with each bash of its gargantuan head, the serpentine summon was able to penetrate deeper into the wall barrier, slowly piercing through the prana defenses with its own sheer might.
Mordred commanded her units. Panic began tingling down her spine. If the wall was lost then the whole war would be lost on account of the poison smog that infested the outside. Even though it's been a good twenty minutes the poison fumes were still prominent outisde the estate. She had to take it down before it could get any deeper or completely dissolve the runes that powered the walls.
"Shit! Squires keep firing, don't let that bastard breathe!" Mordred commanded, with her sword outstretched.
Even the golem Ebony shot an indigo tinted catapult blast towards the snake. It was able to melt off some of the scales that protected the reptilian beast on the right side of its face. The resulting explosion on top of its head caused it to let out a violently ominous rumble and hiss. It bled a glowing ooze of green blood from the molten attack courtesy of Ebony, though this did not hamper the serpent in the slightest from continuing the onslaught.
'If that thing gets through this wall then we're all screwed. Honda trusted me with this wall so I'm not gonna fail him now!' Mordred thought to herself.
As the descendant of the King of Knights focused on the basilisk, she looked at the lining of the wall. Considering the attacks that the Jade Basilisk delivered this far, she was concerned as to whether it had already been breached or chipped off. She widened her eyes when she found a large amount of undead climbing both the Western and Eastern Walls.
The undead soldiers themselves had taken full advantage of the momentary distraction that the Jade Basilisk provided. Due to their sharper than normal fingertips, the usually stiff undead had found a worthy method of climbing up the walls to reach their intended targets.
Mordred sliced an undead in two as the undead began climbing the edges of the wall, right where she was standing. Had she not reacted the undead would have struck via a strike from a large mace it had carried in its left hand.
About half of the homunculi responded by switching out their rifles in favor of prana batons as they fought off the undead, enabling the other half to focus on firing at the basilisk.
One homunculi simply bonked an undead on the head causing the undead soldier to fall. Others simply used the butt of their rifles to shove them downwards.
Mordred called out to Saber as she kicked off an undead that attempted to swipe at her with a large cleaver. It fell to the bottom in a rain of bone fractures which knocked off other climbers all the way to the bottom of the Western Wall.
"Saber! They're climbing the walls! You need to rally your troops!" Mordred screamed.
Saber on reflex immediately pulled Idores away from the frost wall she made as a skeletal hand pierced through. The skeletal hand clenched as it attempted to grapple Idores with a surprise attack, capitalizing on her lowered guard. The undead legion began carving their way through the frost wall in their attempt to attack the homunculi there.
Saber commanded them. Her voice was dutiful and commanded the attention of those within earshot.
"Switch to melee!" Saber swung with a strong right swing that cleaved two undead into pieces, causing their bodies to disintegrate. The homunculi at her wall struck in unison, utilizing small disc shaped prana infused shields to block as one before shoving the undead off, followed by an orchestrated firing of the long range fighters that blitzed them off the walls with their rifles.
Saber clenched her teeth. "Let none cross this wall! To battle!"
The Red Eye Legion behind her let out a rallying cry. They were psyched for battle under the unwavering strength of the bold and brave hero.
Idores began using her ice magic to reinforce the ice wall and halt the advance of the undead. This prevented the homunculi from being swarmed whilst halting the undead in place.
Idores furrowed her eyebrows. 'Dammit! If we could just take out that summon, we could focus all of our attention on the undead. At this rate, I'll run out of strength before we fend them off!'
Speaking of reserves, the albino couldn't help but notice the large amount of stamina that Honda's servants possessed. They seemed quite invigorated as well as focused attentively on their given assignments.
Unintentionally, Idores had thought back to when Honda had "fueled" his servants with his rather passionate prana exchange with the servants under his command. Idores' face reddened.
'I can't believe that the only reason all his servants have ample prana reserves is from that insatiable fool!'
Idores shot an ice spike at a lone undead soldier that attempted to cross over to strike at her from behind whilst distracted. Her prana froze it's torso and caused it to shatter instantly, leaving nothing but stray bits of bonemeal behind.
Idores refocused herself. If she didn't get a grip on her own thoughts she might just end up dead. She couldn't allow that, not if she wanted to win the Holy Nail War.
Sfx: Horse neigh
Idores then looked upwards, taking a gander at the source of the intrusive sound of a roaming steed nearby. Upon closer inspection Idores took note of the oversized pale horse that flew above them. To make matters worse, Idores recognized the pink haired servant that protected Silva from earlier. To make matters even worse than that, Honda out of all people was currently dangling for his life with his phantom wire lassoed around the ass of the giant steed.
He carelessly seemed to be grappling the phantom wire that held him like an aerial circus performer, pulling off loop the loops and acrobatic spins with perfect body posture.
"Hey Idores! Looking good!" Honda called out to Idores while doing 360 degree spins with his phantom wire.
From an outside perspective this made a rather comical sight. At the same time it was the worst thing to happen. Out of all luck Honda had found himself in a rather dangerous condition. Should he be killed then his servants would dissipate and all within the estate would be overrun.
Idores' pupils fidgeted in sheer bewilderment at this terrible turn of events.
"Dammit! That idiot! What the hell is he doing?!"
-With Honda-
The local celebrity steadily climbed the phantom wire, swerving from the movements Rider took mid flight. His many years of street performing granted him enough upper body strength and leg strength to do so with less strain than for most.
Rider found herself trying to steer away from Atalanta's arrows. The last thing she needed was to be taken down by the accuracy of the huntress, prompting her retreat. This enabled the magician tied to her horses' backside to climb without much interference.
Sfx: Horse whine
The Pegasus attempted to shake off Honda with a quick shake of its rear. This caused Rider to force her reigns to steady her mount, especially considering the Archer class servant that was aiming for her. A loose arrow scraped her shoulder, leaving a small red scratch in place.
Rider turned back on reflex, trying to pinpoint the direction of the arrow that nearly struck her. Instead she noticed Honda apparently climbing her Pegasus from below.
"That magus..." Rider said to herself with a confused tilt of her head, the rose headed servant began shifting her horse down in an attempt to get the eighth magus to fall and let gravity do the work. Unfortunately, the abrupt movement downward caused Honda to be shifted high up and land perfectly on the buttocks area of the Pegasus.
Honda held onto the torso via his phantom wire attached to his hands.
'Damn this animatronic ride is crazy! Nearly let go of the wire.' Honda experimented a footstep on the horse's glutes. This caused the horse to let out another whine at the intrusive fondling of its ginormous cheeks.
"Feels like a real horse too!" Honda said offhandedly before he stood on the captains quarters of the pale white flying steed, using his phantom wire to keep himself upright. To Rider however, it appeared that Honda was using prana to stand perfectly still atop her mount. He appeared to her as a force of nature, going against gravity itself.
Rider underneath her blindfold raised an eyebrow. For a magus to openly challenge a servant was practically insane to her. However, considering the confident body language, combined with his defiance of gravity made Rider curious. What was this magus? The mask on his face didn't help sell the idea that he was a human at all.
Rider utilized her own servant empowered balance to stand atop her Pegasus as well.
"You are braver than most magus. I didn't think you'd survive." Rider said, her voice taking on a blunt and indifferent tone.
With his Warlock voice in place Honda challenged Rider.
"Never wound what you cannot kill, servant. Your failed attempt on my life is a failure you will learn to regret."
Rider couldn't help but find his voice rather intimidating. It echoed against her eardrums despite the fact they were currently midair. His mask obscured his face, leaving two azure orbs to stare deeply into her soul.
She whipped out her weapon of choice, a pair of long iron nails fastened to opposite ends of a single chain. This weapon of choice was one designed for long range as well as close range strikes. It was a versatile style of combat, one that some would consider befitting of an Assassin class servant as opposed to a Rider.
"I am going to have to use a different tactic. I will kill you gently." Rider said as she raised her nails in preparation. A slight smirk appeared on her face as she readied her battle stance. Her nails were held in a reverse grip. She had to admit this magus was unusual. Fighting a servant was ill advised to begin with. To do so while midair as well, now that's impressive.
"Others have tried…"
Honda said before unveiling his silver card deck, wrapped in phantom wire and fire wool.
"…none have survived." Honda finished, his voice echoed in Rider's eardrums.
"Your master being rendered unconscious means you lack the necessary mana to fight me at your best." Honda noted.
Rider clenched her jaw. It would seem this particular magus took note of her saving her master as a perfect moment to attack her. She should be able to take him down regardless, however she had to admit he was an observant one.
'I see, so that unorthodox cup throw was part of his plan as well…I cannot underestimate him. I will treat him as I would any servant. He's more deadly than the magus who commands this tower.' Rider concluded in her mind, her legs arched as she readied her speed.
Honda let out a hollowed chuckle, one that unnerved Rider. He was completely unfazed by fighting a servant.
"If you will do battle with me, learn this, and engrave it into your mind." Honda said as he took two steps forward. Rider narrowed her eyes within her blindfold.
Honda then poked the horse beneath his foot.
"I am Honda the Warlock, and I will show you that there are more fouler than death itself. Like gravity for example." Honda said chillingly, as if speaking to a child.
Rider widened her eyes. The way he tapped his foot against her Pegasus was unknown to her, but now she understood too little, too late.
SPANK
Honda used a flame wool coated silver card to literally spank the exposed ass buns of the Pegasus. It served like an improvised branding iron, sizzling deep into the hide of the almighty steed.
The Pegasus immediately let out a pained whine, its eyes widened, registering the searing pain on its rear. It reacted by rotating in place and forcing the two occupants to hang for dear life. The flying horse swerved right and left, spinning counterclockwise before rotating clockwise.
The abrupt movement caused the magician and servant to be flung around haphazardly. The wind harshly blew against their bodies with such fast movements as they struggled to hold onto the Pegasus. Rider held on by her chains, whilst Honda held on by his phantom wire.
As Rider attempted to regain control of her horse, Honda realized something. Rider's blindfold had gotten stuck against one of her nails. Rider had to be forced to close her eyes to prevent herself from using her Mystic Eyes. Without the conscious prana normally fueled by Silva, she had to conserve what strength she possessed.
"Oh hang on I'm coming!" Honda called out to Rider before wall running against the oversized belly of the horse to pull Riders' blindfold out of its unintended knot. As he attempted to help Rider she used a free hand to swipe with her nail.
The blindfold was one of her noble phantasms named Breaker Gorgon. It's design was to serve as a magical field known as a Bounded Field. Specifically, it has the ability to "seal all magical properties", and if used on others, it will imprison the consciousness of the enemy within her own mind. Offensively it was useful, however without it, Rider's own petrifying eyes would run amok and sap her of all strength she needed for this fight. She needed the blindfold to block her eyes, and thus cannot allow Honda to remove it.
Honda narrowly avoided the strike due to the horse shifting again and was luckily forced to release the blindfold before he was carved by her weapon. This ended up causing the tight fit accessory to smack against her eyes.
WHAM
This caused Rider's head to swerve back from the blindfold spanking against her eyes underneath the thick fabric. Her eyes were stunned for a split second. As she came to, she focused and noticed Honda, who was originally with her holding onto the side of the Pegasus
was now gone.
Rider stared confusedly at the apparent fast movements of the magician, who simply had climbed upwards and seized the reins of the stallion.
"Oh oh, let me try to ride this thing! I gotta see if that's possible. Wonder if it's possible to tame a Pegasus?" Honda said with a kid like fascination of the giant horse. He had to admit, considering he was able to ride and control Ebony, he thought it would be cool if he could also ride this giant divine creature.
Honda used his phantom wire to immediately wrap around the Pegasus by its neck and tugged it upwards, trying to see if he could bend it to his will. Pegasus wound up getting strangled by the wire. Its face distorted with it's large teeth sticking out as Honda unintentionally strangled the life out of it.
Letting out a agonizing whine the horse attempted to resist the foreign straps of immaterial wire.
Rider immediately somersaulted to strike Honda from behind with her immeasurable speed before another arrow fired by Atalanta immediately forced her to lean backwards, dodging the shot that would have ended her.
Atalanta would not allow Rider to attack Honda. Though she couldn't help but nervously notice Honda attempting to ride the Pegasus.
"Is he…strangling the Pegasus? While he's on it? Such primal tactics, and yet…strangely effective. I don't know how he was able to last this long against a servant, but I won't allow her to kill him, not as long as she's under my sights." Atalanta said to herself before unleashing another arrow which forced Rider to step back again, nearly losing balance with the Pegasus constantly spinning around in midair.
Saber from down below watched on shock as Honda was literally strangling the Pegasus.
"Such…such brutality." Saber sweat dropped before swinging her blade against more undead. She unconsciously caressed her own neck, thinking to herself of the consequences of she were to ever get on Honda's bad side.
Mordred however, admired the brutality. "Kick ass! Go Honda! Strangle that overgrown mule!"
Saber protested. "You're cheering for such deplorable tactics!"
Mordred argued back. "Why not? That Rider class servant attacked him from behind. As far as Honda's concerned, I'd say honor just went out the window the moment she attacked him from behind!"
Saber sweat dropped. "I…suppose you're right. But we need to help Honda, he is in danger!"
Mordred looked back and cringed as to the sight of her master apparently strangling the giant Pegasus with an excited glee in his blue eyes that shone through his Warlock mask. Combined with a well timed maniacal laugh, it looked like he was having a blast.
'Note to self, Honda's got a twisted side…best not to piss him off…'
"He's doing just fine…" Mordred said with a fearful look on her face.
Honda raised the reins and forced the Pegasus upwards, forcing Rider to roll backwards with the sudden shift of gravity and nearly fall off as she wrapped her chain around the steed's rear end. Rider let out a breath she didn't know she had. She didn't want to fall all the way down, not from this height with her reserves being limited already.
BANG
In a rather unfortunate one in a million stroke of bad luck, a stray sniper shot fired and lodged itself deep into the right butt cheek of the Pegasus. The painful sensation of bullet shrapnel being lodged into its rear end forced the Pegasus to crash it's side against the Deacon Estate tower, launching bricks off of their hinges. The homunculi anchored by the tower had to run to avoid the sudden impact.
Stria blushed, seeing where she fired her shot.
"Whoops…" Stria said guiltily.
Rider tried to reach upwards again, before an arrow went towards her. She dodged the arrow only for it to lodge itself deep into the horses' left rump flesh.
The horse whined and began kicking off the pain it was feeling, desperately trying to shrug off the immeasurable agony of a penetrative arrow deep into its backside. It was being tortured between getting shot twice in the rear and being strangled by Honda's phantom wire at the same time.
Honda clicked his mouth twice. He put on his best western impersonation. "Woah, Nelly! Simmer down girl, it's alright. No need to thrash about. No one's gonna hurt-"
Honda took a look behind him and saw the arrow.
"Goddamn…thank goodness you're an animatronic…" Honda said offhandedly, seeing a large arrow lodged into the stallion's buttocks.
Atalanta also had a tinge of red on her face. She had accidentally fired that arrow.
"That…that was not intentional…" Atalanta said to herself. The fast movements of Rider's mount were difficult to follow but the experienced Archer couldn't help but pity the creature.
Idores looked on at the horse with a large arrow in its backside. She deadpanned.
"And here I thought I was worried…" Idores said sarcastically before firing another ice spike at another undead. She had to admit, even she wasn't sure as to whether Honda was the one in danger with the way he was tormenting Rider and her mount.
Rider climbed up and sped towards Honda, who shifted the reins again, forcing the Pegasus downward, causing Rider to roll due to the sudden shift in gravity.
"Hey look Stria! I could control the Pegasus! Cool huh?" Honda called out to Stria.
"Honda get out of there! It's dangerous!" Stria responded.
"Aw come now it's not like it's a real horse. This thing's way too big to be real. It's just an animatronic, I'll be alright."
"Honda! You'll get killed if you don't get off that horse!" Stria said.
Honda had to focus on his hearing. The turbulence made hearing Stria difficult. "You mind repeating that last bit, Stria. This animatronics' putting up a fight."
Honda, without looking at the rolling ragdoll movements of an out of balance Rider, kept shifting the reins. Up and down, left and right, the magician kept controlling the Pegasus with his phantom wire. Its resistance began waning as Honda tired out the rampaging steed. Rider would collapse with each swerve of the Pegasus, ragdolling haphazardly as the eighth magus dominated the Pegasus by force.
Rider, after using a chain to wrap around her mount's torso to keep herself from falling, had accidentally rolled straight into Honda's back, causing him to let go of the reins by accident.
"Whoops." Honda let out as he turned towards Rider who immediately had to use her chain to reach the reins. If she didn't control the Pegasus it would spiral out of control and crash. After taking an arrow to the behind as well as a branding iron burn, the divine creature was beyond it's breaking point.
With her chain wrapped around the reins, Rider tried to regain control of her horse. Honda on the other hand wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her to his front.
"Ah!" Rider let out as her own shapely derriere was pressed against Honda's crotch, where a prominent lance pressed against her. She turned back as Honda held her tight. His phantom wire locked against her joints, preventing her from moving in place.
"Dominate me will you…" Honda spoke with his Warlock voice before placing both his hands against her breasts and gave them a hard squeeze.
FONDLE
FONDLE
Rider hissed in her throat as she felt the full caress of Honda's hands that unashamedly manhandled her.
"What are you doing?!" Rider asked, completely disarmed by the sudden turn of events. Wasn't this magus intending on fighting her? And with the Pegasus constantly rising upwards, beyond the clouds they would both fall at the rate this magus was going.
"This battle is one of domination, if you will not submit then be prepared for the grave consequences that await you, masochist!" Honda said before pressing into Riders sides and squeezing her, causing her to arch her spine.
Rider gasped out as Honda's hands explored her torso. He handled her like she was a lightweight. Her own servant strength was restrained by the phantom wire, making her stuck in place and helpless to the Warlock's will.
"No use resisting, your fate is mine to command." Honda whispered into her ear.
'Holy crap she's tall as hell! But she's sexy. Time to dominate my opponent.' Honda thought before he continued his constant squeezing.
"Stop…let me…hah!" Rider protested as Honda had his way with her, fondling her body, her thighs and her breasts with his invasive hands. As she tried fighting back her own rump pressed into Honda's crotch. Unintentionally her movements felt like she was grinding against the performers' third leg.
'Hey, she seems to be grinding on me. Sounds like it's working!' Honda concluded before continuing his domination of Rider.
From afar Stria, Atalanta, and Miki blushed from the noises and the sight of their Warlock taking advantage of the servant he was originally meant to do battle with.
Atalanta gritted her teeth. "What…what the hell is he doing?"
Stria sucked in her lips. "I think…he is viewing the fight as a different kind of fight…"
Miki finished. "He is trying to claim her? Like I was with Deacon."
Atalanta and Stria looked at Miki strangely. Miki looked at them confusedly as well.
"What? Did I say something strange? Didn't Lord Honda do the same to all his servants?"
Atalanta widened her eyes, blushing from the fact that Honda did technically claim a part of her, specifically her rear.
Stria simply nodded. "Yes, that is true."
"No! I am just his servant for the war!" Atalanta argued, her tail rising upwards in excitement however displayed her true thoughts.
From high above the tower, Honda whispered in Rider's ear again.
"Don't resist, you'll find me to be a 'plentiful' master." Honda said as he slipped up his mask.
'The script of the Holy Nail War did say that there would be a 'midair sex fight' event. I'm gonna be honest, she does look the part.' Honda thought before licking Rider's neck causing her to hop as she attempted to resist.
A prana enhanced arrow found itself carving through the phantom wire, causing both the magician and the servant to roll backwards.
Stria looked at Atalanta whose eyes were shadowed.
"That lecher…in the middle of battle…"
It would seem that Atalanta was experiencing a rather unknown display of emotion to her. One that made her angry that Honda was laying claim to another servant when she was already his servant.
Stria sweatdropped. 'Is Atalanta…jealous…' The chauffeur thought to herself, noticing Atalanta's reaction to match the meaning of a tsundere.
Honda didn't know what happened, but the next thing he noticed was that his wire lost its grip, causing both him and Rider to roll all the way to the back of the beast that held them. Rider was holding on by the tail of her divine steed. Honda on the other hand, had a stray phantom wire that enabled him to stop his fall at the middle of the Pegasus. Rider struggled to climb up and was nearly about to fall as the strands of horse tail hair began being ripped off one by one. Each strand that tore caused the horse to whine helplessly.
Honda looked down at Rider. The blindfolded servant could only look at the magus that bested her.
"Uh hey, just wanted to warn ya, stay away from the back hooves, if this animatronic is as realistic as I think then it may just-"
WHAM
The panicked Pegasus accidentally back kicked its own master, causing her to let go of its tail as she fell all the way to ground level.
"Damn, she got laid out! Ouch!" Honda took note of the back kick that made Rider fall.
One of the rose headed servants' chains happened to drag Honda by his leg. Honda was pulled downwards with her causing them both to freefall.
Stria panicked as Honda and Rider tumbled downwards. She screamed in worry and anxiety. Being that she wasn't used to experiencing such intense emotions it was instinctual.
"Honda!"
As they fell Honda was laughing to himself. "Check it! Green screen freefall! Just like in the movies! Movie magic at its finest!"
Rider as she fell simply mentioned. "Neither of us will survive the fall. It was unwise to pursue me when you had the opportunity to run."
Honda asked, raising an eyebrow. "Nah, no way could I resist flying a Pegasus."
Honda somersaulted while falling midair. "Hey, why don't you try? Show me some of that agility."
Rider raised an eyebrow and simply deftly spun in place. Despite being midair her agility and speed as a Rider class servant far outpaced Honda.
Honda really used this as an excuse to get some much needed eye candy. Rider's black skirt flowed with the wind, enabling Honda to take a good peak at her well toned thighs.
Honda raised his eyebrows under his mask, clearly impressed with the view.
He looked down at the incoming ground. They did fall from way above the top of Deacon's tower, practically almost two thousand feet above ground. As they were now, they were already at the halfway point.
"So it's technically 'game over' if we hit the ground without stopping?" He raised his fingers to make quotation marks with his hands when he said the words 'game over'.
Rider looked at the strange magus with a confused look. She was still debating if he was toying with somehow.
"I suppose so…considering you're tactics, you probably already deduced by now that my mission was to kill you, and here you will die." Rider drawled out, unsure as to what the hell he was talking about or as to the reason behind his friendly demeanor.
Honda snapped his finger. "Dammit! So that's what Stria meant by getting off the Pegasus! That means no more Saber and Avenger, and Atalanta…just when it was getting good too! Wait since you're gonna die too did you have fun? Any regrets?"
-With Mordred-
Meanwhile down at the walls, the Jade Basilisk was about to let loose another Jade flame at the Western Wall. Its defenses had wilted to the point that the vast majority of the invading undead had already determined it as a weak point. Mordred was already occupied with the undead that swarmed the edge of the Western Wall.
Upon seeing the Jade Basilisk past a large undead she skewered, Mordred widened her eyes.
-With Honda-
Above them, Rider gazed at Honda. In some way she wasn't sure if he was asking her if she had any regrets. A form of camaraderie as they fell to their apparent deaths.
"Fun? I suppose not. I did not fulfill my wish…" Rider whispered.
Honda gripped her left hand midair. Rider was confused. It was surprisingly a lot gentler than what she was expecting.
-Eastern Wall-
Idores found herself grabbed by an undead, with a large cleaver ready to bisect her. Other homunculi we're busy with other undead. Saber herself was too far away from Idores, too preoccupied with the many undead soldiers that broke through the ice wall.
-With Honda-
"Perhaps if fate was different I could have gotten to be your master. I would have been able to show you all the fun you're missing!" Honda said with a carefree smile underneath his mask. Without Rider knowing he was referring to fun in the bedroom. To Rider, the Gorgon herself who had lived a rather tragic life, she mistook this as a consolation of sorts.
-Deacon's Tower-
At the highest part of the great tower, Miki raised her eyebrow at a sudden shape that entered her peripherals. She turned and walked towards what was distracting her.
-With Honda-
Rider could only peer her gaze deeply into the strange magus.
'Is he saying that if he were my master then he would have been able to fulfill my wish? I don't understand…why console someone who is his enemy?' Medusa thought. She was growing ever confused with this black cloaked magus. His eyes seemed to peer deep into her soul, making her feel increasingly exposed. It was as if he could see everything about her, even her past. What she didn't understand was that Honda was thinking of the many naughty raunchy things he would like to do with her had he had more time in the Holy Nail War.
"In another life...perhaps…you are…a strange magus." Rider admitted, she had to admit in the short time she fought Honda she couldn't deny, he was without a doubt the strongest magus she had ever met. To do battle with a servant and outwit one was a feat she had never heard anyone accomplish. To also possess this warm demeanor unbecoming of a magus was also something that made her uneasy. It was a shame that she had not gotten to know him sooner. Perhaps if destiny was different, she would know. As far as she was concerned, fate had always been unkind to her, always dangling hope in her face and sparing none for her when needed most. Such was the lot in her life, both before and after becoming a servant of the Holy Grail War.
-Western Wall-
Ebony took the Jade Basilisk's flaming blast full force, protecting the Western Wall fighters from its heat as opposed to focusing on attacking the gargantuan. Though the flames coated her rock carved body, the golem persisted. In fact as she took on the flames, the indigo runes that decorated Ebony's body began glowing. The flames appeared to flow into the cracks.
-With Honda-
Rider sighed. It was unfortunate that this meeting would still have to end with the death of Honda. Unfortunately, she still would like to live long enough to fulfill her wish. Looking at a nearby open window of opportunity Rider gripped her spare nail chain, one which she would use to lasso her way out. In the end, the magus Honda was done for.
All seemed hopeless.
GRAPPLE
Rider opened her eyes again, she noticed her body being tied up by the phantom wire, once again restricting her joints. It had wrapped around Rider tightly, propping her assets upwards in an overly revealing fashion as her mammaries were painfully pressed against the wire.
'What…impossible…' Rider thought as she found her limbs useless.
Honda smirked. "You did say the game was over the moment we landed into the ground. As far as I'm concerned, I am still in the game."
Looking back upon earlier when Honda asked her to do a spin in the air, Rider realized that it was at that moment that the near transparent phantom wire had already wrapped around her. And when he held her hand, looking back at the same hand she could see multiple knots of phantom wire wrapped around her.
Rider was stumped. This magus must be an illusionist of sorts. He had tricked her with her momentary lapse in judgment.
Honda then used longer strands of phantom wire. One strand was used to burrow itself between the bronze walls that protected the tower, and the tower itself. Other strands anchored and slowed Honda's fall.
The first wire was formed in a perfectly straight horizontal line, one which Honda stood on with perfect balance, with a tied up Rider in his arms.
With the help of the phantom wire, at the last possible second Honda stopped his own fall whilst ensuring Rider's capture.
"It seems you are now under my reins, servant." Honda smirked within his mask, Rider was simply amazed that he pulled off something she herself was going to do.
"Tonight's special. Something no magic can ever replicate. It's a personal one I've used before in the skyscrapers of Fuyuki, though that one was nowhere near as high, and with a lot less rope to keep me up."
The Warlock pulled Rider and whispered his technique in a seductive tone.
"Faux Fall!"
'Impossible…simply impossible…' Rider thought to herself. Being the legendary Medusa, she now understood the sensation of feeling petrified, under the frost coated eyes of the enigma that was Honda the Warlock.
-Eastern Wall-
Back with Idores, the undead that grabbed her swung his cleaver in a large overhead swing-
BANG
Idores, down at the walls, was freed from the undead who attempted to finish her. It was shot from a stray bolt at the top of the tower. With her sharp eyesight Idores noticed that it was Stria, she had protected her old master from certain death.
Making eye contact, Idores felt saddened still that even now, her closest attendant would still look out for her. Though the Velune magus had to admit, it was a most welcome intervention.
Saber and Mordred, who had cleared more undead, looked at a sudden shape that had invaded their sights.
All the homunculi had also peeked at the strange object hanging above them. It cast a thick shadow on both the walls. From their current position it practically eclipsed the moon.
Whatever it was, it was big and about the size of a small air balloon.
In fact, it was an air balloon. Big enough for two. In it were the maid duo Niki and Miki, who looked down cutely from above at the Jade Basilisk.
"Oh my, that is the largest Mamushi snake I've ever seen. Can't allow it to bite anyone." Niki said while clasping her cheeks in apparent concern, as if she was dealing with a rodent on private property.
"Here are the grenades." Miki said emotionlessly, handing her a small crate. Miki had noticed this strange creation when Niki had first flown it, and joined her upon request. Miki went back to casually navigating the air balloon via a simplistic lever that turned the balloon left and right.
Niki reached for the box of what appeared to be bombs. They appeared to be in the shape of cylinders with small prana runes decorating its silver encrusted frame. She only took one.
Niki peered downward towards the large snake by the walls.
WHEE WHEE
Niki whistled towards the Jade Basilisk with both hands, prompting it to look upwards and open its mouth as it hissed towards her air balloon with the malevolence befitting a rampaging summon.
Niki flinched at the loud hiss that emanated from the gaping maw of the powerful Jade Basilisk. "It's a feral one. I suppose I'm going to need more grenades."
Niki carelessly grabbed the whole crate and dropped the whole box, which surprisingly fell perfectly without shifting in place into its oversized and currently opened mouth.
With an audible gulp the Jade Basilisk found itself swallowing the crate in one gulp. It flinched before backing away, unsure as to what it just swallowed.
Idores looked on in shock. Her instincts told her to hide the moment she witnessed the crate being gobbled up by the large summon.
"GET DOWN!" Idores screamed. Her voice was loud enough to reach both walls, far louder than what Saber and Mordred could ever accomplish.
Everyone at the walls within earshot were able to duck in time.
BOOM
With a violently gory burst, the Jade Basilisk had detonated from the inside out. It's bones and glowing intestines spewing out in a magnificent explosion. Due to the barrier of the walls, much of the foreign prana infused chunks simply bounced off, whereas the undead that were on the outside of the walls found themselves flooded with glowing green ooze and fell down below.
With nothing but well timed surprise attacks, Honda's army had succeeded in subjugating their enemy and ensured their ruin on the mountainside.
Saber, Mordred and Idores stared wide eyed at the gory mess beneath them. Nothing but loose bones and the shocked expression of the Jade Basilisk as it's insides spread across the outside walls. Sweat dropped from their foreheads as they nervously looked at the two maids whom landed the killing blow, or bombs in this case.
Niki smiled at the end result. "Looks like that worked well. Let's head back."
Miki navigated the air balloon towards the tower before they wound up too far off.
Saber gulped. "I didn't know Honda planned aerial support. What an ingenious execution."
Mordred let out a breath of relief. "Least we still have a lot of undead to handle."
Mordred looked at the lever down below within the tower walls. What she saw made her eyes widen in fear.
One undead was dragging it's half cracked body that had spewed over and had reached out with a steadily disintegrating left hand. With a forced arching of its spinal column and a sickening crunch of its rib cage it has reached the lever.
CHUNK
The lever was pulled.
As for Honda, who had been balancing himself on a phantom wire holding Rider in his arms, had not noticed that he was apparently unintentionally right in front of the main gate.
CHAPTER END
