A/n: Hello readers! Psychojack is back with the next chapter of Holy Nail War. Last time our heroes contended with the many enemies and threats that surrounded the tower. Honda had been capable of fighting a midair one to one battle against Rider. Though he landed a lucky victory, Honda has wound up literally caught right at the tower gates. They had been opened by a stray undead soldier who had fallen over the walls during the chaotic scuffle. How will Honda avoid the outside poison magecraft that will now breach the gates? Is this the end of our favorite Warlock? Only one way to find out readers, let's get to it!
Reminder: Honda's Mission Objectives!
A.) Defeat the skeleton legion!
B.) Do not let them reach the lever! (FAILED)
C.) Protect your homunculi waifus!
Bonus Objectives:
-Slay 100 skeleton troops personally without the use of Ebony.
-Use the Grimoire 3 times. (1/3)
-Defeat Silva in a one on one match!
Upon the opening of the main gate, Honda looked in the direction of the unexpected development, currently preoccupied with the tentalizing servant he had been able to bind. Despite the well formulated defensive strategies of the Red Eye Legion, one lucky undead was capable of pulling the lever that controlled the main gate.
Honda, whilst carrying the tall Rider in his arms appeared peeved.
"Aw man! And we were kicking so much ass too!"
Saber reached over the wall, pleading to her master from taking the full impact of the lethal poison mist.
"Honda! Get out of there!"
BEEP
BEEP
A looping alarm sound vibrated within Honda's person. He placed Rider against the wall near him, left to her own confusion.
Honda looked at his phone that was in his left pocket. It was beeping due to it set on a timer for 60 minutes.
"Oh! Looks like the hour's up! Just like Idores said." Honda remembered, thinking back to what Idores informed him and the rest of the group before the defense strategies were established.
-Flashback: Chapter 26-
Assassin commented. "If they breach the gate, that poison magecraft will spread into the estate grounds killing all who occupy it within mere minutes."
Idores looked around. "Magecraft on this scale costs a lot of prana to fuel, no doubt that the most someone even of Silva's rank could do this for is a maximum of an hour especially since she has a servant to command, anymore would run the risk of taking prana needed for her servant to fight efficiently."
-Flashback End-
Honda's face lit up with a look of realization.
-Elsewhere-
In the distance at an undisclosed location, far away from the bronze walls, at a hilltop that was blocked off from the ensuing battle by mountain rocks, a group of heavily armored undead stood by. Their bones clattered against the ground, letting out husky hisses as they stood at the ready. The reason for them not taking part in the battle is currently unknown.
Footsteps could be heard stepping past them, the walking skeletal warriors did not react defensively. In fact they moved out of this stranger's way. As he strode over, the skeletal warriors turned their attention to the individual that went past them, an automatic reaction considering the presence this figure held.
It turns out that these particular undead were surrounding a lone hammock as bodyguards for the occupant of the improvised bedding.
Two pairs of emerald and blue eyes opened with exhaustion prominent in the retinas as the individual who possessed them awoke. With great strain a woman rose up from a rather deep unconscious state. She stepped out of the hammock, struggling to regain her bearings.
It was Silva Busujima, the poisonmancer. Due to a rather unexpected cup throw from Honda, the great magus, known for her infectious arts, had found herself completely unconscious for a prolonged period of time for the large-scale battle for Darius' tower.
"It would seem you are finally awake." A deep booming voice echoed against the auburn haired woman's eardrums as her head immediately turned towards the direction of the powerful voice.
She looked downward, avoiding making eye contact. The obscure figure stood in front of her, staring down at her. She on the other hand focused on the ground like a child afraid of punishment.
"W-what happened to me?" Silva spoke carefully, feeling the throbbing sensation of her forehead due to the blow she had taken. She pressed the agitated lump on her right temple, aching due to the inflammation caused by the bludgeoning she endured.
"Somehow…you found yourself rendered unconscious…quite strange really…you boldly claimed that you alone would be more than enough to conquer the tower…now it seems I will have to take charge for the battle ahead…" the voice stated, in a manner that would suggest mild disappointment in the current turn of events.
Silva took a look around her environment. She was currently on a hilltop far from the tower, overseeing the field that led straight to the grand bronze walls that surrounded Darius' tower.
"I-I did not expect for Darius to have enlisted another magus, I've never heard of anyone matching his description." Silva informed the voice, though the way she spoke suggested she was emotionally uneasy, speaking with a lower tone, and lacking the fire and charisma that she had held when she first confronted Honda.
"Yes, it would seem that Deacon had enlisted a third party for the Holy Grail War. One that seemed more than capable to outmatch you." The voice said. At the end, the voice of the stranger emphasized the failure of his partner.
"I was not bested! I am a Busujima-" The big breasted magus argued, her pride as a renowned magus at the forefront of her words.
"And yet here you are, beaten, bloodied, and far from the battlefield…Had it not been for your servant, you would have probably been captured by enemy forces." The voice criticized, each word tearing deep into the ego of the Busujima magus, making her narrow her eyes in anger.
"I am not defeated, I can handle this myself…" Silva attempted to argue, standing before finding herself under the gaze of two undead skeletal warriors. They hissed as she stood in a haughty manner that appeared too hostile in their perspective.
It was clear that they didn't trust her around their summoner. Their sharp yet rusty blades pointed closer in her direction.
"No…you had your chance…even so, I find it equally strange that you were conveniently defeated by a third rate magus…why did your servant not protect you in the first place…usually you have your guard up…"
"I sent her for recon so I could understand the layout of the estate!" The redhead explained. Her Rider was strangely more akin to an assassin in terms of her capabilities as well as her shadowy attire. Her speed and strong sight despite her blindfold ironically enabled the pink haired servant to be extremely efficient in terms of recon.
"And you were defeated without so much as a single magecraft being cast…that in particular I found strange as well…you were defeated without even an incantation of any kind…"
"He…he had me distracted…nothing more. The magus Deacon enlisted…he is unusually crafty. He attempted to goad me into making a first move, and then…then I found myself here…" Silva analyzed before caressing her forehead, finding her hand touch and massage the prevalent large bump on her forehead in an attempt to ease the discomfort it brought on her.
"No magecraft was used to defeat you…I find myself…doubting your proclaimed legendary skill set…"
Silva took a step forward, earnestly trying to defend herself. "I swear it was a momentary lapse of judgment! Nothing more!"
"This was also found…a written message…"
Silva looked at the remains of the paper airplane Honda sent down towards her. Though it was originally crumbled, the paper was perfectly reflattened via prana from the currently unidentified individual.
"This was merely a distraction-"
"Do not presume to be a fool…I read the message countless times…"
Silva looked at the message reading it in her mind again.
"None of us can hear you, do you have a cellphone or something? By the way you are wild cute XO wink face…"
Silva raised an eyebrow. She still couldn't believe that a magus would send such a primitively constructed craft project like this.
Even now, Silva's eyebrows twitched in agitation at the audacity of the unidentified magus that now protects the Deacon family tower.
'What's so suspicious about this? It's just a sick joke, specifically made to mock me.'
Silva felt her fingers slowly clench around the paper, wanting to tear the insulting presence of this folded paper into microscopic pieces. The reminder of this being the one thing that made her lose composure in the face of battle still living rent free in the forefront of her mind.
"Both sides…" The voice said, his voice speaking matter of factly.
Silva looked at the red paper again, on the back side of the paper she read another message she had not noticed before. She read it in her mind.
"P.S. It's quite cold outside, how about you come inside for a hot cup of coffee. I'll be sure to fill it to the brim with thick, frothing cream."
The bottom of the message had a puckered lips emoji that resembled Saber with a notable ahoge on top of its head.
The Busujima head flushed as she was completely unaware that she was invited to Deacon's tower for what she knew as a woman to be a rather clear pass at her.
'What the hell…that magus…he tried to flirt with me!?' Silva thought to herself angrily as this little message is damning her at the moment.
"It would seem you were quite familiar with the magus currently leading the defense at the tower, enough for him to approach you in a rather 'inviting' manner…I don't believe one would send a message like this unless there was some form of mutual 'familiarity' between you two in some way…"
Silva shook in her boots as she made the same conclusion as her accuser. He had come to the conclusion that she and the Warlock at the tower were involved with one another. The message in the back made her out to be suspicious.
"I-Impossible. There is no such alliance or familiarity with one another…" Silva said with complete horror. She was sensing a growing gloom overtaking the air making breathing extremely difficult. It was this magus' prana. It held power enough to make breathing a chore, though currently it was not visible to her.
"Then, how do you explain this…" The voice spoke neutrally before an object was placed in front of the defensive magus.
It wasn't brought to her by hand, the object was carried over by an unseen force. Though this was only capable by magecraft it would seem that this was done without the need for any form of incantations or even so much as a visual charge of prana.
GONG
With a prominent metallic echo that carried across the hilltop, a goblet was revealed to the poisonmancer.
Specifically, the very goblet that was used to knock her out was placed at her feet. Silva gulped at seeing the aforementioned cup. The mere sight of it made the Busujima magus grit her teeth at the sight of this accursed cup. The same cup that was putting her in a rather unexpected and fatal predicament.
On closer inspection the goblet in question was a goblet laced with gold and diamond. On the center of the goblet was a blue glowing gem. It pulsed gently with its azure glow, consistently emanating its radiance before diminishing.
This was the same exact goblet that personally belonged to Darius Deacon. One he had consumed previously during Honda's unknowing escape.
(A/n: Check Chapter 13.)
"What-?" Silva questioned the meaning of the display. Was there some point that her curiously insistent partner was trying to make? She was interrupted before she could finish.
"That was the very goblet that served to overpower you in your 'unfortunate' meeting. But more specifically…that is a Vow Goblet, something that the Deacon Family has used for generations. A physically imbued contract that is used with the formation of vows between houses. To drink from it means to uphold an alliance of the highest order, in body and mind…the fact that I found it on your person makes me question our own…"
"I am loyal to our pact, I have not given any reason to suspect me of any form of treachery!" Silva attempted to defend herself, the skeleton soldiers that stood in front of her stood in her path, hissing threateningly.
"...some droplets were also found on your lips…" the voice whispered.
Silva's abnormally shaded eyes widened with fear in them. The cup that was thrown at her was clearly already empty. When it had collided against her forehead, some of its remaining contents must have accidentally graced her red glazed lips with its taint. A chilling sensation pierced Silva's spine as this conversation took a turn for the worse.
'He thinks I drank from the Vow Goblet…'
Silva fidgeted, her usually confident and outspoken demeanor taking a backseat due to the fact that as of right now she was in fact, being interrogated. Her partner was questioning his trust in her due to this incriminating detail. She was on thin ice due to the ever growing evidence that supported this scenario.
"I am not a traitor. I have only shown my loyalty thus far!" Silva protested as another skeletal guard approached her from behind. Clearly they did not intend on allowing her to escape.
"You would have me believe that a Busujima, a noble of your status, would claim to handle this battle only to fail suddenly without so much as a retaliation and also wound up with a Vow Goblet with its contents still on your lips by mere coincidence…"
Silva looked completely flabbergasted. Her partner for the war suspected her of being a traitor. The more she heard it from his mouth, the more she had to admit that even though she was the one being suspected, she too found it sounding despairingly suspicious. Her pupils shook as she lacked the words to defend her case. She couldn't deny how likely this whole accusation sounded. If the roles had been reversed, she would have executed her partner on the spot for this development.
"I believe you and this stranger already knew each other and have been using messages like this for quite some time. I know you have already been granted a Vow Goblet and had already drunk its contents, and merely played the role of an incompetent fool to land a preemptive strike. There can be no other conclusion…A single factor is a coincidence, two is a possibility…but three…is far from coincidence."
Silva widened her eyes and placated her impatient partner.
"I still have the poison runes active on the front gates, the moment the gates open is the moment they will die on the spot!" Silva pleaded, her body language wouldn't suggest her desperation, however her shrinking voice as well as her eyes would suggest otherwise. She knew if she didn't try to resolve this in any way, her life would be rendered forfeit, being proven to be more of a risk as opposed to an asset.
"You were unconscious…"
"It doesn't matter, the runes themselves operate autonomously, all I have to do is power it with my prana. In fact I had also used a personal family summon to ensure the success of the siege!"
"I have already sent my own servant to oversee the battle and return with any new developments, as well as to confirm your defense. It shouldn't be long until they return. With a servant and that basilisk you summoned, how long do you think you would be able to hold the magecraft?"
"If the runes are not tampered, then an hour…"
Upon Silva finishing faint steps could be heard as well as the flaps of a cloak near her position. Silva took a glance at the incoming figure, one donning a hooded bluish-purple robe that covered the sides of her body, another purple dress lied underneath the robe that reached to her ankles, exposing pale flesh. Though most of her facial appearance remained hidden, one couldn't notice her lips were decorated with a shade of violet glaze lipstick as well as the fact that the stranger had bluish-purple hair that framed her face. The way she appeared was as if the strange woman appeared out of thin air.
"What did you find, Caster?" The strange magus asked.
"It would seem that the defenses have held up well enough. The basilisk is dead, slain by an aerial strike via an air balloon. As for the poison mist, it would seem that too has been exhausted." Caster said, simply answering the question.
Silva's eyes widened. This meant that the same poison mist that originally surrounded the tower was rendered inactive.
"Impossible…"
-Back at Deacon's Tower-
Honda grinned conspiratorially. "Looks like the poison is just about done! We won't have to worry about any more instant game overs!"
Mordred overheard her master. "Honda what are you doing blabbering to yourself! We still have a battle to win!"
Honda looked at the opening gates, more specifically, he looked past the creaks to take a gander at the outside, confirming how clear the field was as opposed to being thick with 'poison' gas.
-Back to Silva-
Her power had run out. Upon checking her own reserves, it was proven true, she did not possess enough to continue using such demanding spells for the moment. All she could do was preserve her Rider. It had been an hour since she was rendered unconscious. Had she been mentally aware, she could have stopped the usage of her reserves, unfortunately this was not the case.
"Conveniently enough, your runes have also run out…
Silva's eyes widened as the reality of her situation was growing dire. At this point she would be dead for her apparent guilt and incompetence. Her partner wouldn't overlook this.
Caster turned towards her master. "I can still uphold your legion for a while longer, however there are better methods of course."
"No, with the number of servants that are located at the tower, the moment you expose yourself you will be overwhelmed. If that weren't enough the land being tainted by poison will also make it rather difficult to fight at your best, considering you will need to rely on your own reserves that you absorb from a living landscape. For now, maintain the footsoldiers, we will see what will happen next. As for you Silva, this will be a perfect opportunity for you to reclaim your servant. Bring. Her. Here."
Silva let out a breath she held in. She was given a second chance.
"Yes…I will. I will be back shortly."
Her eyes widened a tad. An internal epiphany was made.
'He needs me in order to take my servant. He will kill me the moment he obtains Rider…'
Caster glanced at Silva's back.
"I have eyes on her already, now we will wait." The voice informed Medea.
Caster responded. "It would be more efficient for me to handle this."
"That golem that occupies the tower says otherwise. It's a spectral golem, to face it would be a scenario of your overwhelming power against its immovable construction. And last I checked, servants in this war have been rendered weaker due to an outside interference with the Grail itself. Even with that dagger you possess, its a risk I am not willing to make."
Caster seemed peeved. "I know what a spectral golem is, my knowledge of them is vastly beyond a magus' capability to understand it."
"Yes, but even you have not encountered one before have you? None have ever been recorded with first hand proof in history, only stories and rumors. If what is said about them is to be even half true, then you would understand why I keep you far from the battlefield."
Caster sighed faintly. "I see your point. That's why you send Silva. You want to see it for yourself while also getting rid of your competitor in the process?"
"Precisely…that and I am wary of the unidentified magus who successfully tamed such a monstrosity…"
-Deacon Tower: Main Gates-
The gates opened millimeter by millimeter. The groups of skeletal warriors awaited their chance to move inside and swarm the tower.
Honda strode and grabbed a sword among the many that had fallen over due to the battle atop the walls. There were bones mixed in as well, residue from the undead that were slain.
Idores called Honda. "What are you doing? Get out of there! There's a whole army outside!"
From the top of Deacon's tower Stria looked through binoculars, seeing Honda at the gates.
Stria pulled down the binoculars. A concerned expression filled her face. "Dammit Honda!"
She immediately went about pulling out a sniper rifle to provide the immediate cover Honda was going to need. If he was not going to move then the least she could do was provide cover from afar. She beckoned the homunculi maids to ready their prana rifles.
"Aim for the main gate, Honda needs cover!"
Atalanta drew her bow, albeit staggering due to the fatigue that ran through her body with the use of her Noble Phantasm.
"Is he suicidal!? Why isn't he leaving the gates?"
Stria sweatdropped and answered bluntly. "He thinks it's a game…"
Atalanta raised an eyebrow. "A game?"
Atalanta sighed exasperatedly, fed up with the outrageous magi under her protection.
"Men…"
Unfortunately, Atalanta misunderstood the meaning of Stria's statement. She figured that Honda was acting from pride, looking for some form of glory in this battle as opposed to playing it smart. She herself had seen warriors do it occasionally, craving thrill in battle. What she doesn't understand was that Honda literally thought that this war was all just a game to begin with.
Back at the main gates, Honda picked up a second sword. Rider tilted her head as she was too tightly bound to put up resistance and escape.
Mordred called down with her fangs prominent. "Hey Honda, hate to break it to you, but don't you think this is a bit…dumb?"
"Hell no! I've been waiting all night to get me some frontline action. Since it ain't game over yet, I'm gonna get my fill. No way am I missing out on this!"
Idores face expressed panic in her eyes. "Honda, this isn't a game! You'll be skewered into pieces."
Honda waved off her concerns. "Sounds like someone got a little too immersed in this whole Holy Nail War! *Snorts* It's just a roleplay silly!"
Idores widened her eyes. 'I forgot, he still thinks this is a stupid sex roleplay! At this point, he's just having a goddamn blast like its an amusement park!'
Honda swung the two swords with a few practice swings as the gates tilted open more and more. Three smaller skeletons slipped through the growing cracks.
Honda pointed his sword towards the trio of walking cartilage.
"Besides, I may be a magician but you're looking at the Fuyuki Larping Champion for ten years running!"
Idores raised an eyebrow. "Larping?"
One skeleton sprinted it's way towards Honda before raising its blade to bisect the magician.
Honda swung both blades to literally carve through the bones into brittle pieces. His blades slashed through the skull as well as the ribcage, the arcs of his swing reflected light in a metallic sheen.
SMASH
CRACKLE
POP
With a high velocity swing, the two blades tore apart the skeleton warrior as it disintegrated into pieces.
Honda squealed giddily. "Fuck yeah!"
-Honda Vision Start-
Honda stood as an extraordinary caped warrior wielding two oversized blades that were far larger than what he is actually wielding. In front of him was the main gate, making eerily creaking sounds as the insanely large horde steadily made their way in. They possessed large fangs and appeared to be twenty feet tall, far taller than they were in reality.
With a brave face and an unusually unrealistically chiseled jawline, Honda swung his blades, with one resting against his back.
[Reminder: Bonus Mission Objectives
-Slay 100 skeleton troops personally without the use of Ebony (1/100)]
Saber in a cute sounding voice squealed. "Honda! Don't get hurt! I couldn't bear it! if you did."
"Be careful not to slip Honda! Oh the things you do to make me worried!" Idores said in a warm, affectionate manner."
Mordred barked with fanged teeth. She appeared giddy to see Honda do something so dastardly. "Hey save some for me you crazy bastard!"
[Mordred likes your stunning bravery! 1 Bond Increase!]
Rider, in this vivid delusion Honda was under could only speak with a sexy purr. "Mmmm, nice form, wouldn't mind taking you for a "test drive".
[Rider is turned on! 1 Bond Increase!]
[NOTE: Larp your way and crave through the enemies in your path. With the poison mist gone, now is the time for payback!]
-Honda Vision End-
Honda walked casually towards the other two, bending and arching his body in flexible and coordinated swerves to avoid an overhead swing from his right as well as a thrust on his left before countering the two skeleton warriors with a deadly flourish.
"You're wide open!" Honda taunted as he swung.
SHING
The skeletons fell downward as they were eviscerated in a rain of bone fragments.
Saber and Mordred looked on in shock as Honda began taking one undead after anotherq as they increasingly began slipping through the main gate. Rider beneath her blindfold, found herself somewhat baffled by the magus' practiced swings of the two blades in his hands. He spun and swerved and cleaved with amazing velocity, making each dodge and block turn into a devastating victory for each skeleton that stepped into his reach.
Mordred mumbled. Her heart hammered against her chest as she watched a magus fight with such passion and practiced movements. Being a knight she had to admit that as a warrior she couldn't help bit admire his physcial prowess. "Holy shit…"
More skeletons ran through the stiffly opening gates as Honda mowed them down utilizing a counter based style, where he allowed them to swing before carving them with dual or multi sided strikes that pierced through the bones of his bony opponents.
"Haha! Look at me, I'm Murakami Tetsuhiko. You're messing with the best boneheads!"
Honda said before cleaving another skeleton in half.
SHING
CRACKLE
Saber couldn't help but admire his cloaked form practically dancing around the skeletons before tearing them apart like tinfoil with those blades in his hands. Despite being a magus, the Saber class servant admired his clear skill with a blade.
"Has Honda…lost his mind!?"
Honda laughed maniacally as he spun and let out a whirlwind of blade strikes that made a few skeleton warriors back away out of caution.
"You gotta be kidding. Get over here!" Honda said before tossing the blade attached to his phantom wire.
GULCH
As his blade pierced the ribcage the Warlock and larp champion pulled the undead before slicing him into two with a horizontal slash.
Stria, despite having a scope overlooking Honda's back, pulled down her rifle as she was stunned from the rather impressive footwork of the magician she fancied. Her red eyes couldn't help but focus on his shapely buttocks moving so fluidly and with such ferocity.
"I need new undergarments…" Stria whispered to herself as she instinctually moistened from her lower body. She was still not aware the exact reason as to why but recent events gave her enough information to know the cause behind this phenomenon.
Next to her, Atalanta was feeling her body heat up from the primal display of her master's swordplay. She couldn't help but shift her hips, a result of her own primal instincts admiring the beast like agility and dominance of her clearly physically capable master.
"T-that idiot…" Atalanta heaved out before sucking in her lips to forcefully contain a moan and firing an arrow at a skeleton that was attempting to attack Honda from behind.
Honda immediately breakdanced and swung the blades to sweep the skeletons' legs off before Atalanta's arrow pierced its head.
Honda immediately grabbed the skull and ripped it off the warrior before kicking it towards a group of undead that attempted to enter through the main gate that was now fully opened. The undead that had entered were met with a skull that literally ran them through like a bowling ball, tripping them due to the velocity of the performers' throw.
"C'mon amateurs! I could do this all day!"
Saber and Mordred immediately swooped down towards their battle crazed master. If he was really going to attempt to do battle in this manner he couldn't do it alone.
Saber narrowed her eyes. "Honda, have you gone completely insane!"
Honda grinned cheekily. "Like a fox!"
Saber stared confusedly. She didn't know how to process this.
Honda continued on. "Now that there's no poison mist and no giant snake we can focus on more important matters, like kicking ass and taking names! The homunculi at the wall seem to have things covered. Which means we can move on to phase 2!"
Mordred grinned excitedly. "Master I didn't know you were so badass, I'm liking this crazy side of you!"
Saber admonished Mordred. "Don't encourage him!"
Mordred looked at the skeletons. "Right now we have other problems to worry about!"
Honda immediately placed his right hand on his lips.
WHEE WHOO
The Warlock whistled, upon the use of such a high pitched call, holes literally popped open within the ground, spread amongst the landscape where the horde was located.
Some confused bone warriors took a peek, before being dragged into the chasm of the ground. Meanwhile some who had their backs turned to the holes in the ground, found themselves cleaved evenly by multiple figures encased in shadow. Some were feminine, others were masculine, varying in different sizes and muscularities.
In front of Honda another hole appeared, where one figure with a noticeably dark purple ponytail stepped out and faced Honda's mask with her own skull mask. It was Assassin, Hassan of the Hundred Faces, specifically Honda's lovely Asako.
"Ace in the hole, interesting choice of words master." Assassin said as she slipped up her mask as well as Honda's before kissing him on the lips.
Saber and Mordred couldn't help but tighten their holds on their blades instinctually. Neither of them liked how this sneaky servant warmed up to their master.
Honda grinned. "Missed me?"
Assassin squeezed his crotch before slipping out a rock and tossing it with enough force to decimate a skeleton warrior.
"With every breath…" she blushed as she whispered to her master.
Honda immediately slipped on his mask and took a look at the battlefield. One hundred Hassans all accounted for, with Saber and Morded beside him against the thousand or so dead knights that stood between him and victory. Taking into consideration the homunculi who defended the walls, ready to unleash devastation via a volley, as well as the air support via Niki and Miki, this battle was going exactly as planned.
Saber looked at Honda. 'Ingenius…is this what it's like to follow a great leader, or is this how it is when you watch a Warlock in his own environment? Extraordinary.'
Mordred gushed over the battlefield layout.
"Oh! Let's make a game out of it! Whoever kills the most wins!" Mordred challenged.
Honda laughed before pulling out his blades again. "Fat chance! Get ready to eat my dust!"
Mordred took the challenge. "You're on! If I win I'm gonna keep you to myself for a day!"
Saber sighed. "I suppose it's futile to complain…"
Saber pouted and looked to the side.
"But neither of you have the chance to keep up with me."
Mordred and Honda raised an eyebrow. It would seem that the usually stoic Saber was open to the challenge as well. Saber had a stake in this as well, if she won this challenge then that meant she could win Honda's favor, among other things.
Saber's face blushed as her own impure thoughts filled her mind. Mordred narrowed her eyes, clearly knowing her 'father's' thoughts.
In the nearby treeline, Silva had found herself upon the battlefield. She was out of breath and wasn't expecting to stumble upon the battleground where she saw her summoned basilisk torn to shreds and bleeding out its emerald lifeblood, her servant tied up against the main gate and a air balloon where two twin maids appeared to possess bombs.
It was an impossibility that they had succeeded in the defense of the tower, even more so when she noticed that a small battalion of shadow warriors were in attendance, with daggers drawn as they were ready to engage the undead legion. They appeared to possess prana that would suggest that they were servants, and yet there were a hundred of them. It should be impossible!
Not to mention, her eyes made contact with Honda. Seeing a magus lead a frontal charge was unusual. It was illogical for a magus to risk himself in a direct face to face fight when they could simply have a servant fight in their stead.
Honda however, smirked. "Change of plans, cover me girls, I got a date with a redhead!" Honda chuckled. Saber and Mordred looked at Silva from behind the legion of undead, the two blondes nervously looked at each other before deciding to help their master. He appeared to be bloodthirsty with a fanged grinned covered by his mask.
Silva couldn't help but feel a shiver down her spine at the glowing blue gaze of the battle ready Warlock.
