Total Drama X: Hotel Rockies
Episode 1: Total Drama Once Again
Part 4: The Last Six Players
This chapter's very important to the canon.
There's a new guy, an returning guy and two returning ladies in here for a total of 81 characters and also, this sequel can be read on its own, because Ultimate Islands is too bloated for its own good, you guys!
Though you can read it for this chapter to kinda make more sense.
1602jaw: Believe it or not, Ultimate Islands takes place a few months before the reboot (or rather, the slightly delayed 2022 season of Total Drama) and this season takes place seven months after said season, so all of the Total Drama contestants are at least twelve years older and the Ridonculous Race players eight years older!
G-man 2.0 (again, again): I accept defeat, man. More importantly, this fanfic has now finished the roster and the planning but it's not going to get new chapters before Ultimate Islands finishes.
Plus I'm planning on getting a three-person finale like Survivor, so yeah.
On one fateful day, there was definitely a guy and a girl that was stuck outside of the hotel that somehow changed its name, as they were for one thing and one thing only and it was to get their late reveals for this season.
"I thought this was called Mountain Drama?" A very much Chinese guy said. "These guys are indecisive."
"Honestly, Mountain Drama does sound ridiculously lame." What obviously was Daffy Duck remarked. "Hotel Rockies sounds like a show with some gravitas and epic energy to it! Which I need to get in."
"...Just because I let you get here doesn't mean I care to let you in."
"You're Chinese, what does it matter?"
The Chinese guy, who was a 21 year old with black hair and brown eyes?
Cheng Xiaoshi, photographer, time-traveller and ready to ball at most times and he was wearing a steel blue and off-white sports jacket with a golden hawk, a white t-shirt, black trousers and grey sneakers.
"I don't even know how you got here, but I'm glad that you even made it here. Just respect my race...please." Xiaoshi remarked. "You didn't even pack anything."
"All I need to pack is more personality." Daffy said. "And Bugs will have to let me in, of which I don't know how Speedy got in! I need some more money!"
Xiaoshi was done with this duck.
While one had only just arrived and was not familiar with this game, the other one was there for a hot minute and standing there with sheer confidence...and looked just as good.
Clover was still in her spy suit, since she had a billion clothes in the suitcase, a mission that had finished on the day of the rest of the first episode and completely baffled at how a certain duck was there.
"IS THAT, LIKE, THE GUY FROM THE CARTOON!" Clover shouted. "LIKE, THE DUCK!"
"Yes, it is! Do you think every one as is as weird as he is." Xiaoshi asked. "Like are they hiding their identities through the posters because it was all cartoons?"
"No, it's true."
Xiaoshi was surprised by the random comment that confirmed a sinking feeling, though he had a skeptical look.
"Can we just wait?"
"Actually, we are."
These two were quickly joined by a third late coming contestant, who was strutting in like she actually arrived on time and somehow running in with an incredible amount of misplaced self-confidence.
"Ew, you're back too! Really the worst version of me." A French blonde teen said to Clover.
"You got eliminated in Episode 3, Chloe and no-one likes you back at home. I have a boyfriend...sort of...it's weird." Clover fired back, although losing fire through the sentence. "I have no idea what's up with Rock-"
"No way, you both broke up!"
Chloe even had a (mediocre) evil laugh stored up for her.
She was wearing a yellow jacket, a white t-shirt with black stripes, white leather trousers with gem-studded belts and white pimsole shoes.
And the sunglasses that she lifted up and she's just your average 15 year old spoiled brat with a fair skin.
"I don't care if you're. seeing other people, but that's sad."
"You're sad!" Clover fired back. "What did I do to you."
"Stayed way longer than me and did nothing!"
Cheng Xiaoshi wisely stood with Daffy Duck who pulled out a knife at this point, though it was a butter knife that got stuck in the window, as the two girls had their argument.
And then Kitty arrived in a state of panic, being the same picture-taking, fun-loving girl that she was back in the Ridonculous Race that still wore her off-white shirt, red sweater, black short skirt and those brown high-heel boots with off-white socks.
Also, her hair were still in the long tails.
"Kitty, dude!" Zee shouted.
"...Oh, you're that guy-"
"-From that new season, yeah I am!" Zee interrupted.
Kitty was trying to figure what she was looking at.
Mostly because Zee came out of nowhere and he had their brown hair in a ponytail and was wearing a loose-fitting green backwards cap, a yellow t-shirt, long salmon pants and trainers.
Zee got a good look at the other players who didn't understand what went down.
"And I guess I'm in another Total Drama X season! Ultimate Islands was...definitely something." Kitty said. "I'm glad that I dodged the bullet with that one!"
"What do you mean, it was awesome." Zee repiled.
"They had a human-trafficker is one of the bad guys! Hopefully, there's no-one as evil as that or that many people again." Kitty remarked.
"What's wrong with that?!" Chloe spat out near instantly.
"...A lot of things which should be obvious." Xiaoshi crossed his arms.
And then some Japanese guy screamed while he was a bit out of breath, attracting everyone's attention to his general person, being a 5'10'' 17-year old brown-haired fella with scruffy hair and a headband.
He wore a blue and white tracksuit jacket with a cyan stripe in the middle, a blue sweatpants with white lines, navy blue fingerless gloves with yellow elements and white trainers.
"Sorry, I'm late, I heard that there was some Total Drama going on! Nice to meet you all, the name's Shingo!" Shingo lastname shouted. "Shingo Yabuki!"
"Okay...who are you, lame-buki?" Chloe asked.
"Uh, I'm a high-school fighter...and I'm training under Mr. Kyo and Saisyu...and that's it." Shingo explained, as Chloe laughed at him. "Wait, didn't you get eliminated in Episode 3?"
"And I'm still cooler than you!" Chloe almost offendedly shouted, as Shingo looked confused. "You look like..."
Shingo got Kitty to grab his shoulders.
"Hey, don't worry about her, she's a bully and isn't really cooler than you." Kitty said quietly.
"Oh, thank you! She's definitely beauitful." Shingo answered, trying to be a bit quiet.
"Trust me, you shouldn't care about it that much." Kitty said.
Six more players...
...along with one new host.
Cheng Xiaoshi, Chloe Bourgeois, Zee, Kitty, Shingo Yabuki and Clover Ewing were obviously the final contestants to show up in this she-bang, considering how Topher just opened the door after the cafeteria showdown.
Topher was just tired of the late arrivals, as he the two of them.
"I swear, if the bus drivers don't count everyone...you know what, forget it. Welcome to the competition, Cheng Xiaoshi, it's great to meet you finally!" Topher told him.
"I'm glad that I made it, Lu Guang said that I would get lost in Canada and that I wouldn't win! I'm going to prove both of these wrong!" Xiaoshi stated.
"Uh, good luck, you're going up against strong competition and honestly, your powers...probably would instantly eliminate you!"
"I don't know where you heard that. If you're talking about an old witch, then you might have to talk to her and uh, she's still in China and time-travelling!" Xiaoshi blurted out, hopefully not offending a friend.
He had a nervous grin.
"Seriously, though, you need some photography?
"No...I already know about your powers!" Topher smirked, as he made that snarky insult. "I know about Clover's time in Ultimate Islands! Clover, welcome back for the second shot!"
Cheng Xiaoshi just stepped out of the way or the girly blonde agent, who lierally sprinted right into the view and almost managed to punch him before he went out of virew.
"I see you're going retro with your arrival...and..."
"Uh, obviously! I wasn't doing anything crazy!" Clover was panicking, moving her hands all around. "Finally, they have someone cute as the host!"
"...Woo...alright...you have your second chance!"
"...Yes?" Clover said. "But, like, I doubt it's going to be very easy! I mean these guys are stupid powerful like they've got powers, move fast, do very not normal things! Why are there even supervillains in this!"
"Because there is!" Topher curtly answered. "How's Rock?"
"...He's really cute and really cool, but...uh...for some reason, he just wanted to focus on his touring schedule so we're on a break." Clover said. "But, like, why I don't get it! It's not like there's a lack of cute boys, but I'm a Rock man!"
"Shut up." Xiaoshi muttered.
Xiaoshi was really miffed, as Topher had a knowing smile, figuring that Chloe would be the most...noticeable out of the six and she definitely wasn't at the moment.
Shingo did a scream to be noticed.
"Here's one of the loudest people of all time, Shingo Yabuki, protege to last season's Kyo! You do have some strategy, right?" Topher announced. "Besides, you've got a whole book on it."
He rubbed his back.
"I mean, I had to write something and..." Shingo breathed. "...I mean, I don't really have a lot of notes at the moment and...I wish I had a bestseller book!"
"Cool, so you're taking note of your competition to try as stay as long as you're in the game."
"Yes. I'd like to make sure that I'm putting in 100% like I do in my fights. And hopefully with less injuries."
Shingo looked nervous, as Topher held in a laugh.
"Is there going to be a lot of injuries?"
"Hopefully there isn't, but this is Total Drama after all! So about Kyo since I heard you're dealing with Shermie!"
"NONONO, you got it all wrong!"
Shingo made sure that everyone heard.
"I'm entering this season to beat Kyo's pretty good run. I know that I can do better, but I don't want to make myself a target." He explained. "Going after Shermie sounds like a thing that would make me a target...since she's evil."
"And how is she evil, tho?"
"She tried to destroy the world this one time, so...uhh...yeah. I'll go-"
Shingo got pushed out of the way by the blonde Heather, Chloe, who clearly was steaming at the channce that she was the last one interviewed.
"And finally, being booted out in Episode 3 and taking that time to be mean to everybody for no reason with her mom hating her and letting that not stop her! Coming back with some extra fame, Chloe Bourgeois!"
"You know, Ladybug, unlike me you haven't been on Total Drama twice and that's a better achievement than saving Paris every day for sure!" Chloe proclaimed, shaking her head to reassure herself.
"And I heard that there was another beautiful French girl in here...like me!"
"Wow, you really are conceited and you do have a strategy for not going out in Episode 3, right?"
"Right, obviously, I had my friend Sabrina write up something. I just watched the other normal seasons!" Chloe's smug grin peered through the skin.
"Dang, you came prepared!"
"Of course, I did, Adri-kins will be watching!"
Topher sighed, seeing a Daffy Duck who had somehow lit himself on fire.
"And finally, two more returning players who everyone should know! Kitty, one of the main sisters from Don's awesome race and Zee, the chillest mother-friender from the most recent season of Total Drama. Man, I can't believe you two are here!"
"Honestly, I can believe it. I skipped out on Ultimate Islands because it's Chris." Kitty remarked, seeing Topher get offended. "Not being tortured is my idea of fun, but it is Chris'-"
"Nah, I get it! So, why alone!"
"Listen, I'm ridiculously excited to meet people from other worlds, dimensions, whatever and see their crazy powers first hand." Kitty stated. "Emma didn't want me to go on here."
"Okay, that's fair, though you shouldn't slander Chris-"
Zee coughed really loudly and spat out a rock.
"So, that's where that has been!" He exclaimed. "Sorry, Topher, man, Chris is a bad man doing bad stuff all of the time and plus, he eliminated me!"
"He does that to everybody, especially people who betrayed both of their alliances!"
"Not gonna lie, kinda deserved, but Chris was bringing bad vibes on everybody, they were being mad competitive."
"Wow, you are not ready for this season, Zee or Hezekias, the good vibes man, everybody...should we help Daffy?"
Clover was just looking around the place, Zee was trying to find the other contestants, Kitty pulled out that phone, Shingo was impressed with the place and Chloe glared at the two other ladies as Xiaoshi just pulled out his camera for his own sake, especially with what he was about to witness.
...
They were shown the now empty and slightly dirty cafeteria.
...
They wee shown the bathrooms and the scuffed confessionals.
...
They were shown the not so great bedrooms that they'd temporarily be staying in for about a day or so.
...
And then, they were set down when there was no-one else there.
"You guys just stay in there for the moment, you two are gonna surprise the rest of 'em and maybe each other!" Topher told the two of them, as Clover was half-listening and Xiaoshan was listening well. "That's it."
*Clover's confessional*
She talked like she didn't care about much.
"Sorry, Rock! I'm glad you told that we could be just friends because you know, there's more cute people here and...this is a great place to look from cute boy aliens...or cute boys from other worlds! And getting some money, like, duh, but I'd rather just hang out with them as friends 'cause what happened with you?"
Even if her words betrayed that.
*Shingo's confessional*
The brown-haired high-school fighter was excited.
"Mr. Kyo really had some good times in Ultimate Islands, like he beat up a evil guy, lost to Mr. Iori, had an alliance to beat another evil guy and...I think I could top that. Like there's Kitty, who is nice, Xiaoshi, who is Chinese and there's a lot of others! I want to know their powers and skills, so that I can write them down in a notebook and find counter-measures, so that I can beat Mr. Kyo in Total Drama!"
He stopped smiling.
"...This is going to be my kind of challenge, I hope."
*Xiaoshan's confessional*
The black-haired photographer took a picture of the confessional.
"I don't know what is telling me that this was a bad idea, but I'm not going to listen to that type of feeling and plus, these kind of shows are not impossible for me to win. Just really hard!" He declared. "...Apparently, I'm the fourth or fifth Chinese person to be in this season, which I find unbelievable."
He scoffed.
"...That poster was definitely fake."
*Chloe's confessional*
She was in with a determination.
"You know, I'm tired of Marinette, Ladybug, my sister, some other people who I know their names that I don't want to call out calling me weak! Well, I'll show them by going on reality TV...Actually, I'm probably going to be an actor which means a lot!" She shouted. "Besides, thanks Sabrina, you at least did homework and Total Drama, which is worth something!"
She looked...lost.
"I'm not just a pretty face, you know."
*Zee's confessional*
He was just relieved.
"Ever since I heard of this kinda stuff and people saying that it's real, I was like what are you guys talking about and then Chris stopped me from getting until the season was in was...real! Now, I'm here for real, I can't wait to see dragons, dogs, rabbits, more dogs, more fellas, that Damien guy and..."
He had a thought.
"...other stuff that I forgot! Wonder how crazy the challenges are gonna be, though!"
*Kitty's confessional*
She squealed before getting in.
"If I'm right, most of the cutest people are just normal people from other universes, which means that I'm getting a boyfriend in here, too, you know! Plus I came here to have an once in a lifetime experience!"
She realised something important.
"It only comes around once and I'm not missing it this time!"
*Confessional cut*
Topher had one easy job to do.
"Finally, that's everybody in this not so wise season of Total Drama X! And yeah, there will not be any more fellas, any more contestants because 81 contestants is a lot and most of 'em you haven't ever seen before..."
"...in Total Drama X: HOTEL ROCKIES!"
There was definitely the crazy echo...and the real end of this episode.
To be continued in Episode 2 complete with the additions of a Chinese photographer goofy fella, an loud and confident fighter, a chill Canadian teen, the bratty daughter of two famous people, a fun-loving sister and a Malibu secret agent that joined the spatial researcher/supervillain, a very sarcastic rabbit and a former coward...
...in being players that got introduced after the rest of the introductions and well, JFK may be mostly the same dude, but he's in a very different cast, so G-man, you won't be disappointed.
