Weiss felt lost.
Well, even more than she had been when she woke up.
When she, Sora, Donald and Goofy left the main pod room and out of the lab, they found themselves in a dilapidated mansion. The heiress assumed it was once bustling with life but nowadays it was long abandoned, which was probably why there a lab built underneath there. Whoever took them here made sure they stayed hidden.
"I wonder who lived here before." Sora couldn't help but wonder as they made their way to the front door.
"Does it matter right now, Sora?" Weiss asked. "I would rather not spend any more time here and get back home."
"Sorry, just curious." Sora got out with a shrug before blinking. "Hey, what's that?"
"Hm?" Donald hummed out before spotting the same thing Sora did.
It was a pristine white cardboard box, tucked into a corner of the room. It was obviously put there to be found.
Sora didn't hesitate to run up to it and pick it. There were only two words written on the box: For You.
"I guess this is for us…" Sora assumed as he opened it up. "Oh, sweet!" He then cheered out as the others gathered around him to see what was inside.
Weiss' eyebrow raised at the mysterious contents of the box. Six small bottles of a mysterious green liquid, two larger bottles of the same liquid and some golden prisms of varying sizes.
"What are these?" Weiss asked as she picked up one of the golden prisms.
"Oh, that's munny!" Donald answered as Sora began pocketing the bottles.
"Money?" Weiss repeated. "…How is this money?"
"Uh… What we mean is that it looks like the world's money to everyone else if they haven't left their world." Goofy explained. "It's pretty convenient. We don't have to deal with exchange rates."
Weiss only gave the dog a deadpan look before sighing. This was already starting to overwhelm her.
"Looks like we have 500 munny. That should be good enough." Sora got out as he pocketed the munny before walking over to Weiss. "Here, you might need the rest of the potions." He then offered, handing the Huntress three potions and a hi-potion. "These heal you in a pinch."
"I'm good, Sora." Weiss assured. "My Aura is sufficient enough to heal my wounds."
"Are you sure? I mean…"
"I'll be fine." Weiss said as she gave Sora her potions before going out the front door.
Sora looked at Donald and Goofy and shrugged before they followed the Heiress outside.
"Who would build a mansion in the middle of a forest?" Weiss grumbled out as the group made their way through said forest. "Those walls aren't high enough to fend off even a baby Beowolf. No wonder it was abandoned."
"You still think you're on your world, Weiss?" Sora asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Your world isn't 95% owned by monsters?" Weiss countered.
"…No? At least, I hope not…" Sora replied, wincing a little at the memory of that night.
Oh, his mum was going to kill him once he got home.
"Well, I'm just worried. I don't have my weapon with me and-"
"Oh, wait!" Sora gasped out as he quickly reached into his back pocket.
"Sora?" Goofy got out in confusion before the boy pulled out two items.
One was a jet black chain with a crown on the end, and the other was star made out of seashells with a silver chain on one of the points.
"Aw man." Sora sighed out before smiling. "At least these two are safe."
"Hm?" Weiss hummed out in confusion. What were so special about those things?
"Hey…" Goofy spoke up, his ears rising. "Do you hear that…? It sounds like… a festival…?"
Sora and Weiss' eyes widened as they could began to hear it as well and began moving towards the sound, with Donald and Goofy following after them.
Soon enough, they found a wall with an opening in it and went through it, finding themselves in a town bathed in orange sunlight. There was tons of people walking around, with many stalls and attractions set up.
"A festival!" Donald quacked as they group looked around in awe.
"Wow… what a beautiful sunset! A-hyuck!" Goofy noted as he looked up to the sky.
"At least we're near civilization…" Weiss muttered out. "Come on, Sora, let's get to the-"
"WOO-HOO!" Sora cheered out as he ran away, already charging to one of the stalls to (probably) blow what little munny they had.
"What the-!?" Weiss gasped out before getting mad, along with Donald.
"Sora!" Donald yelled out. "Goofy, come on! We have to-WACK!?" He started, only to notice that Goofy had already gone off to dip for goldfish.
Grumble…!
Weiss couldn't help but blush as Donald looked at her.
The duck shook his head before sighing. "Oh well. Let's get something to eat before we chase after those two palookas."
"What?" Weiss got out in confusion before Donald grabbed her hand and led her towards a food stall. As soon as her senses were assaulted by various fried foods and such, Weiss decided there was no helping it. "Okay, we're getting some food and then we're finding our way out of town."
It wouldn't take too long anyways.
And why was no one questioning that a giant duck was pulling her towards the floating toy serving kebabs!? Oh my God, it was so cute!
"Hahaha! You're really good, Weiss!" Sora laughed out as he finished his cotton candy.
"I-It was nothing." Weiss replied with a blush. She had gotten caught up in the festival, not leaving as soon as they ate. Instead, they played a few games and tried to see whatever the festival had to offer, using up all the munny they had on a few more potions and prizes.
Weiss was even wearing two of her prizes. One was a necklace similar to Sora's except it was a silver heart instead of a silver crown. The other was a small pouch in the shape of a Moogle that Sora had to win to pull her away from the cute little vendor. Currently, her Moogle pouch was attached her belt which rested to her right.
Apparently, it was the last day of summer and this was the festival they held every year since the town's creation, with tons of prizes that could only be won during this time. It reminded Weiss of the Vytal Festival, just without the tournament and stadium in the sky.
The tournament thing was held several days ago anyways.
"You know, I think I've been to this town." Sora suddenly admitted.
"Hm?" Weiss got out as she looked up. They had been wandering aimlessly around town for a while now and they had somehow made their way to a back alley. How long was she just blindly following Sora?
"What's it called?" Donald asked.
"Hmm... Guess I must've imagined it." Sora replied with a shrug.
"I think I heard someone call this place Twilight Town." Goofy said, only to see Sora opening a chain link door and went through some cloth.
When Sora and Weiss enter they saw they weren't alone, with three kids around their age sitting around with bored looks on their faces.
"Hey, what are you-Helllooo…" The boy with blond hair began, only to notice the white-haired beauty next to him. "What are you doing here?" He asked in a much kinder tone that he was planning.
"Uh, nothing. Just wondering what was back here." Sora answered as he rubbed the back of his head.
"Well, this is our spot. F-Feel free, like, you know, hang around." The boy, probably the leader of the little group, offered as he stood up.
"Umm..." The more heavyset boy got out as he walked up to them.
"What are you doing?" Weiss asked with an un-amused look on her face.
"You're... new around here, right? I'm Pence."
"And I'm Hayner." The blond got out as he shoved Pence away to bow to Weiss. "Nice to meet you. And you are…?"
"Not interested." Weiss deadpanned, shattering his heart in two words.
"O-Oh. W-Well. we got stuff to do, so catch ya later." Hayner got out before quickly making a hasty exit.
"Uh, sorry about him." The girl with brown hair and green eyes apologized. "My name's Olette. Hey, did you finish up the summer homework, yet? Independent studies are the worst, huh?"
"Homework?" Sora repeated before looking over the others. Donald and Goofy shrugged while Weiss just sighed.
"Um… We just got here today and we plan on staying very long." Weiss quickly lied.
"Oh, okay then. Well, what're your names?" Pence asked.
"Oh, sorry. We're Sora, Weiss, Donald, and Goofy." Goofy answered, pointing to every member of their own little group.
"Hey there." Sora greeted with a quick wave.
Weiss frowned, however, as she saw Olette and Pence share a look.
"Sora, Weiss, Donald, Goofy," Olette began as she looked at the group. "We just met someone who was looking for you."
"He sure seemed in a hurry. He had a black coat on so I couldn't see his face, but he had these big round ears." Pence added as he mimed the shape of the ears.
"I'm… I'm sorry, but who would have such big ears?" Weiss asked, not expecting a serious answ-
"The King!" Donald answered.
"What?" Weiss got out in a dumbfounded tone.
"Where'd you see him?" Sora quickly asked, getting excited. If it really was the King, then maybe…
"At the station." Pence answered.
"The station! Thanks!"
"Wait, what is this about a king!?" Weiss demanded, however she was promptly ignored. Why was everyone not questioning the fact that there was a King with big round ears looking for them-
Wait a minute.
"Did…Does that include me?" Weiss whispered to herself as Olette and Pence left the Usual Spot to finish up their homework.
"Oh boy! The King's trying to find us!" Donald got out.
"Yeah, let's get to the station!" Sora replied with a nod. He was just about to run out, only to see Weiss only standing there. "Uh, Weiss?"
"Huh?" The heiress got out as she looked around.
"Weiss, we gotta go!" Donald shouted out as he began pulling her out of the area.
"H-Hey! Stop pulling me everywhere!"
Soon enough, Weiss was dragged all the way out of the alley and down some stairs to the Sandlot, which they passed through earlier.
"Hey you, where'd you come from?" A voice demanded as three more kids approached the group, consisting of a boy with a beanie, a guy Weiss could just tell he was more muscles than brain, and a girl with light steel blue hair.
"Uhh..." Sora got out.
"You here to pick a fight with us or something?" Seifer guessed. He did not like the look of any of these people. Especially the guy and his big dumb yellow shoes. Just looking at him ticked him off.
"What? How did that- No, we're just passing through." Weiss assured as she narrowed her eyes at the bully.
"Yeah, you big palooka!" Donald called out.
"Okay, smartalecks..." The boy with the beanie got out as he cracked his knuckles. "Time to teach you how to behave in my town. Bring it!" He declared he and his posse went into their battle stances.
"Man, what a jerk." Sora simply stated.
Donald nodded before he and Sora got ready to defend themselves.
"Uh, guys, you shouldn't resort to violence just yet." Goofy got out.
"Ugh, we don't have time for this." Weiss scoffed out as she began to cast small glyphs underneath Seifer and Sora to stop the two idiots from fighting… only for it to flicker out before it even formed. "W-What?" She gasped.
Suddenly, the entire stand-off was interrupted. "One moment!" A voice called out. Everyone turned to see a rotund man running up to them.
"Hey. Aren't you the tournament producer?" Seifer got out with a confused look on his face.
"Yep! If you're gonna fight, why not make it a proper Struggle?" The producer suggested.
"What?"
"What." Weiss deadpanned.
"You see, Seifer... I'm a really big fan." The producer admitted.
"Wh-What do you want? An autograph?" Seifer guessed, just stunned by the man's enthusiasm.
"In other words, I want to see more of your "super cool" moves! You handled the tournament with real style, and you absolutely dominated the title match. But I just can't get enough. Don't you see? The matches are far too short!" The producer then turned to Sora. "And what's your name?"
"Sora."
"Sora, if you wanna fight a match, you just say the word." The producer offered as he pulled out three foam bats. One seemed pretty standard, another had a guard and another looked more like a toy wand than a toy sword.
"Okay, I'm good right now. Let's do this." Sora got out as he grabbed the standard Struggle Bat.
"Sora, we have something to do." Weiss reminded as she tapped her foot.
"Don't worry, Weiss. It'll be over real quick." Sora assured with a goofy smile before he and Seifer turned to face each other, with Seifer pulling out his own Struggle Bat.
"You better clear out. Seifer's 'bout to whoop some booty." The producer warned. Weiss could only sigh as everyone else went to the sidelines. "Alright, clean it you two. I don't want any cheating so no punching or kicking, okay?"
"Uhh…What's a Struggle?" Sora asked.
"Ah, guess you're from out of town. The rules are pretty simple. Each participant begins with 100 coloured orbs. Every time one of the participants is hit, they'll drop coloured orbs." The producer explained. "There's also a time limit of one minute. Collecting the opponents' orbs will increase your score, but opponents can also regain their orbs by simply picking them up. To win, you need to either defeat your opponent or collect all their orbs."
"Can we hurry this up?" Seifer got out in an impatient tone.
"Right. Here are your orbs. On my count, the match will begin." The producer got out as he gave the two boys the Official stRuggle Belt Satchel, which held 100 orbs like the he said. Sora got red while Seifer got blue.
The two then walked to opposite sides of the Sandlot before facing each other.
"Don't mess with your elders, outsider." Seifer got out as he pointed his bat at Sora.
Sora only took in a deep breath before twirling his Struggle Bat around before settling into his battle stance, a serious look on his that Weiss hadn't seen yet.
"And…BEGIN!"
"Kneel, loser!" Seifer cried out as he and Sora charged at each other.
He swung first…and it was already game.
Sora guarded his overhead swing and jabbed him in the stomach, knocking all the air out of Seifer's lungs. Taking advantage of his opponent's few seconds of vulnerability, Sora smashed his bat over his head.
"AH!" Seifer screamed in pain before looking up to see Sora was no longer in front him, only to realize too late that Sora rolled behind him and swept him off his feet with his bat and onto the ground.
Seifer growled as he quickly recovered and got up with a slash of his weapon, however Sora stepped back before countering.
Overhead, strike forward, flick up, jump up and slash down. It was a combo Seifer couldn't even hope to even defend himself from before Sora reared back his bat and…
WHAM!
Everyone in the Sandlot gaped as Sora picked up the last of Seifer orbs, the Disciplinary Committee Head knocked flat on his back and too tired to even stand up, and Sora barely breaking a sweat.
"Told you it would be quick!" Sora told the stunned Weiss before going up to Seifer. "That was a fun fight." He said as he offered his hand, only for his two lackeys shoving him back. "H-Hey!"
"S-Seifer wasn't feelin' well today, ya know!" Rai lied.
"Fluke!" Fuu simply stated.
"Uh… well… um… I guess we'll be going now." Sora awkwardly got out before walking back to the group. "Wow, could I always do that?" He muttered under his breath as he flexed his muscles.
"S-Sora… What the…" Weiss choked out. She did not expect Sora to be so…so…fast and…how can this goofball be so...and he just woke up from…he did say something about saving the worlds, right…?
Why was he already fighting like a Huntsman?
"Hey, we need to see the King!" Goofy reminded everyone.
"Oh, right! Come on, Sora! To the station!" Donald got out as he and Goofy went on ahead.
"Oh, yeah. Better not keep the King waiting, huh." Sora said. "Come on, Weiss. Maybe he'll help you find your way home."
"Y-Yeah…" Weiss replied before following the boy.
Today was just getting weirder and weirder…
Oh, and that producer who wanted to see Seifer's "super cool" moves… would go on to remain frozen on the spot for the rest of the day.
The group got lost, again, with all the hustle and bustle of the festival but eventually as it was winding down they made it to the Central Station at the top of the hill.
"That sun hasn't moved an inch since we got here…" Weiss noted as she looked out over the town. The view was spectacular here. She didn't think anywhere in Remnant could replicate such a sight.
However, that view was interrupted by a Dusk appearing in front of her.
"AH!" Weiss yelped out as she jumped back, standing back-to-back with Sora as they quickly found themselves surrounded by those white things. "No… Why are they here!?" She thought as her hand twitched and pulled out…nothing.
Oh. Right. She didn't have Myrtenaster anymore.
Weiss' gaze went all over the place. She didn't do all that well with her weapon, so how the heck is she supposed to deal with-
SHATTER!
Suddenly, she felt a familiar weight in her hand. Weiss raised it up and saw within it was that weird weapon she had used in that fight against the black cloaked man.
Edelweiss…
"W-What is this!?" Weiss got out as she stared the key-like weapon in her hands.
"Oh, you have a Keyblade too, Weiss? That's great, you can fight right?"
"What!?" Weiss exclaimed as she turned to Sora and…
FLASH!
In his hands was a classic skeleton key approximately 3.5' long, with a long silver keychain extending from the hilt, and a token made of three spheres on the end of the keychain. The blade and teeth of the mysterious weapon are silver, the rain guard blue, and the guard a bright gold. And the teeth of the blade formed the outline of a crown which matched the crown charm Sora was wearing.
"The…A what!?" Weiss shouted out before her body moved, her new weapon slashing through the first Dusk and making it fade into nothingness.
No… this wasn't the time to think or understand anything right now. It was only time to fight.
Goofy and Donald nodded as they summoned their shield and staff and readied themselves.
Sora, however, couldn't help but feel that the symbol on their heads was… niggling something in his head, but shrugged it off and went into his battle stance. "Let's go!" He shouted out before charging in and smacking the Dusk on the head with his Keyblade.
"THUNDER!" Donald called out as sent down lightning on his enemies, shocking them physically and shocking Weiss… mentally? Emotionally?
"I don't remember the duck having Dust!" Weiss thought before suddenly a shield killed a Dusk that was trying to sneak up on her.
"Stay focused, Weiss!" Goofy called out before he jumped up and grabbed his shield to knock away a few more of these white monsters.
"H-How can these animals-!?" Weiss began to think before shaking her head. "No, stop thinking about that and fight!" She mentally screamed at herself before charging and stabbing through a couple of the enemies.
Time for some payback… from taking her away from her world.
From there, Weiss and her friends battle the seemingly endless wave of their mysterious enemies. And it was quickly becoming apparent that seemingly was going to become definitely.
Weiss panted slashed away several Dusks before turning around to see three more charging straight at her. Instinctively, she tried to create a glyph to block them, only for it to shatter as soon as they touched it.
Weiss didn't have enough time to move and raised her arms to guard. "AH!" She cried in pain as the Dusks broke through her Aura and slashed up her arms.
Sora heard her cry and quick went into his pockets. "Weiss! Potion!" He called out as he threw the potion into the air. Before Weiss could react, a soothing feeling went through her body as her arms healed right back up.
"Thank you!" Weiss called back, only to narrowly dodge a spear that would've skewered her from the head down. "More!?" She got out as new enemy type turn back into its more pathetic form, which she quickly skewered herself.
"How many of these guys are there!?" Donald complained as bonked a Dusk on the head, having run out of magic.
"Just keep fightin'! They're bound to run out!" Goofy called out as bashed away another one of these things before gasping. "Sora!"
But it was too late as Sora was thrown into the air by a Dusk, before quickly twisted himself back upright, performed a quick combo on a few before landing back on the ground.
"Seriously, could I always do that?" Sora wondered out loud before rolling out of the way of several more spears and joined up with his friends, each and everyone one of them panting and sweating.
Donald and Goofy then collapsed, too exhausted to fight anymore as Sora and Weiss slashed away to buy them breathing room.
"We… We need to run…" Weiss panted out before finally falling onto her butt.
"But… the King…" Sora reminded before his stamina gave out and made him collapse.
"No… It can't… end like this…!" Weiss thought before she and Sora raised their Keyblades and-
SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!
The two Keyblade wielders opened their eyes… to see a small figure in a black cloak and big round ears…wielding a Keyblade like Sora's, though its colours were inverted, its golden blade glinting in the twilight sun
Sora is amazed. Weiss was confused and Donald and Goofy…
THUD!
…shoved Weiss and Sora down to get a better look at their King.
"Your Majesty?" Donald gasped out.
"Ow." Sora and Weiss got out.
"Shh!" The King however shushed his most loyal friends. "You gotta board the train and leave town! The train knows the way."
"Get off!" Weiss called out as they pushed Donald and Goofy off of them as the King held out a pouch.
"Here." The King then said as Sora grabbed the item before he turned to Weiss. "And this is for you."
"Huh?" Weiss got out as she handed a piece of paper. "You…You really know me?"
"A friend does." Was the King's only answer before running away, out of the sight before she could even ask who it was.
"Your Majesty..." Donald got out.
"The King... Was that really him?" Sora had to ask. The last time he saw that Keyblade… it was being used to lock the door to the Realm of Darkness.
"It coulda been... Yep, I know it was!" Goofy replied, feeling a lot happier than he was before.
"Now we know he's okay!" the duck then got out.
"Was…Was that a giant rat?" Weiss whispered out as she limply pointed at the direction the King went. "Was that a key…sword…thing like ours…?"
"It's called a Keyblade." Sora corrected. "And…The King used his to lock away the realm of darkness from the inside, right?"
"Uh-huh." Goofy got out. How could he not forget such a thing.
"The realm of what?" Weiss repeated.
"But we just saw him..." Sora continued.
"Yep." Donald replied with a nod.
"And if the King is here, that means Riku's here!" Sora figured out.
"Wait, what?" Weiss dumbly got out. This was making less and less sense.
"Oh. When Sora and the King closed the Door to Darkness, Riku and the King had to be on the other side of the door to lock it." Goofy explained.
"…With this." Weiss deadpanned as she raised her Keyblade.
"Well, Sora's one is from the Realm of Light while the King's one is from the Realm of Darkness." Donald then pointed out as Weiss' Keyblade flashed out of her hands.
Again, Weiss could barely understand anything of what Donald said because she couldn't stand to hear his voice for more than ten words. Did this duck have a throat infection or something?
"Well, I'm gonna go look for Riku." Sora decided. "Then he and I can go back to the islands together. Kairi's there waiting for us! What are you three gonna do?"
"Gawrsh, Sora. Do ya have to ask?" Goofy sighed out as he and Donald made some weird faces, causing Sora to laugh.
"Hey! What's so funny!?" Donald quacked out in annoyance.
"Your face!" Sora managed to get out before chuckles.
Donald and Goofy looked at each other, saw each other's expressions before laughing along with Sora.
"It's not that funny." Weiss got out, though she let herself have a small giggle. "But, I know what I'm doing. And that's finding my way home. My friends back home probably think I'm dead or ran… away…" She then trailed off as she remembered.
Her father.
She had been gone for who knows how long and…
"What do ya say, guys?" Sora got out, interrupting her thoughts. Probably for the better. "Let's stick together for one more journey. Oh, uh, Weiss. You wanna join too. I'm sure we can find your world together."
Donald and Goofy nodded almost automatically. There was no way they were going to go home right now. It would be a lot more exciting than staying guard at the castle.
Weiss nodded as well. She knew she wouldn't get very far if she did this alone and she didn't really see any downsides to joining up with Sora.
"To... where again?" Sora asked as he placed his hands behind his head.
"We hafta board the train!" Goofy answered.
"Oh yeah."
Donald could only groan at his short term memory.
There was another reason why they were joining Sora again.
"How could you already forget?" Weiss sighed out.
"What? I apparently have some memory problems right now." Sora replied with a joking smile. "C'mon!" He got out before running to the station, the others following suit.
"Wait up!" A familiar voice from behind them called out, stopping the group in their tracks to look behind them. It was Hayner, Pence, and Olette. "Hey, Sora..."
"Hey."
"Have you come to try and hit on me again?" Weiss deadpanned.
"What!? No, wait!" Hayner stammered out.
"We came to see you off." Pence quickly explained, stopping his friend from making it worse. "It just seemed like something we oughta do."
"But… you haven't even know us for more than a day." Weiss pointed.
"Well, it would be rude to just not say good-bye." Olette stated.
"Oh... really? Thanks!" Sora replied before they all heard a ringing sound.
"You should hurry and get your tickets." The brunette suggested.
Sora nodded and went up to the teller before he pulled out the pouch the King gave them. Inside it was 5000 munny and a blue orb-like crystal.
Suddenly, Olette let out a slight gasp.
"What is it?" Donald asked, only to see her pull out the exact same pouch from her back pocket.
"They're the same." Goofy stated.
"Yeah." Olette got out, a look of confusion on her face.
Sora looked at both pouches before shrugging and dumping the munny out of it. "Four tickets, please!"
Soon enough, Sora got their tickets and began making his way up the stairs and to the train platforms… until he felt a sudden wave of somberness go through him.
"Sora?" Weiss got out as she frowned. "Is something wrong?"
"I can't help feeling like… we won't see this town again..." Sora suddenly admitted.
Hayner and his friends couldn't help but feel a small pain in their hearts as soon as he said that, and they couldn't explain why.
"Why not?" Donald got out.
"It's not like this town is going anywhere." Weiss pointed out.
"You're thinkin' too much." Goofy then stated.
Sora frowned a little before letting out a smile. "Yeah, you're right." He replied as he went up the steps.
They had some money left from the munny pouch, and there was a vendor nearby so Sora bought some snacks for the journey while Weiss sat down on a bench to relax and think.
"Hey, Weiss." Olette greeted as she walked up to the white-haired girl. "Do you mind if I sit here?"
"Go ahead." Weiss replied before letting out a breath.
"…You're scared, aren't you?" The brunette suddenly got out.
"How can you tell?"
"I had that same look when I got on the train for the first time by myself." Olette answered with a slight giggle. "I ended up on the other side of town by accident. It was scary to travel alone, and I was shivering in my shoes but… then I met the two guys who were arguing about something one a platform I stepped off at. It was about pretzels. I laugh at them and got them to apologize. Those two guys became my best friends when they helped me home before curfew."
"Is there a point to this?" Weiss asked.
"I'm saying that you shouldn't be. Once you get on that train, it could be a whole new world of adventure. And… it may take a while but with some luck and a few friends, you can make it home." Olette answered, causing the heiress to look down at the ground.
"Weiss! Come on, we're leaving!" Donald called out as a purple train with stars on it and a wizard's hat arrived at the station.
"I guess you're going." Olette sighed out as she stood up.
"I guess I am." Weiss replied as she stood up too. "And… thank you."
"No problem. Now hurry up and get on." Olette replied as Weiss headed over to Sora, who was waiting by it along with Donald and Goofy.
"Okay, let's go!" Sora got out as they all stepped onto the train while the Twilight Gang went over to them. "Bye."
"Hey, Sora." Hayner began, a frown appearing on his face. "You sure we haven't met before?"
Sora thought for a moment before shaking his head. "Positive. Why do you ask?"
"I dunno." Hayner replied as he and his friend gave him a smile.
"Sorry, the train is going to-" Weiss began, only to see Sora shed a single tear. "S-Sora?"
"Huh?" Sora got out as he touched his cheek.
"You okay?" Olette asked in concern.
"Y-yeah. Don't know where it came from." Sora said as he wiped his face and slapped his cheeks.
"Pull it together." Hayner chuckled out.
"Right..." Sora got out with a smile before running into the train. "See ya."
And with a wave, the door closed before the train left the station, with the Twilight Gang looking on as if a best friend since they were kids just moved away.
"Are you sure you haven't met them before, Sora?" Weiss asked as she took a seat.
Sora only shook his head. "I guess… they just reminded me something." He guessed as he leaned against the door, staring out the window.
Weiss only nodded as leaned her head back. She had a feeling that it was going to be a long ride.
Sora then took out the Munny Pouch and stared at it before opening it up to pull the blue crystal from within it. When he held it up, it glistened even in the relatively low lit train. "You know..." He began, causing Donald and Goofy to look up. "I'm sad."
"We've only known them for less than an hour." Weiss thought with a slight frown.
"We'll be back." Donald assured.
"Yeah. We can visit Hayner and those guys again." Goofy added.
Sora nodded at that before blinding light filled the windows for a moment before just as quickly fading. The group looked out to see that Twilight Town was gone, and all they could see was stars and lights.
"Wow." Weiss whispered out in awe.
She couldn't help but feel like a small child, where the world was infinite, full of nothing but and wonder.
Maybe finding her way home won't be that bad. At least she had some allies in this adventure. Dog and duck notwithstanding.
"Oh." Weiss suddenly remembered as she reached into her Moogle Pouch and pulled out the piece of paper she had gotten from the King. With the downtime she had now, she may as well go through it.
I mean, it couldn't be that bad right?

After my escape, I was able to steal a bunch of files from the Organisation. I'm scattering them throughout the worlds, hoping that your heart will guide them to you. Then you'll know what happened to us. Make sure to keep the Petal Report safe.
I wish I could give them all to you, but I can't risk letting them steal back that research all at once.
Weiss... If you are reading this, I'm glad you're alive and safe. I know in my heart that you are already out fighting against the darkness.
You're our only hope.

P.S. Don't be racist to the cartoon animals. You get used to it pretty quickly. Besides, cartoon animals are the least of your worries.
P.P.S. Snow White says hi.
