"Mass chaos around the world tonight as people around the world are turning to dust, reports say that certain people are experiencing the effects while certain others remain unharmed" the reporter on the TV announced.
"We have here an eye witness who's wife was one the first to be dusted sir what is your name?" The reporter asked
"My name is Tom Wackiness and me and my wife were travelling to new york for our anniversary and all of a sudden when i come back from the kitchen after making dinner, all i see is a pile of dust, this is very freaky. As a police sheriff i understand how crazy this must be but i ask the citizens of new york to please remain calm and regroup"
The TV was shut off without another word.
Trini laid on her bed as she looked at her phone with a picture of her and Peter and opened up a video of them at the dance. The sight brought a smile with tears in her eyes.
A few knocks on her door brought her out of her musings and she wiped her eyes
"Come in"
The First Avenger entered.
"Its me, Steve. Just coming in to check on you."
"Im ok, just...fine" Trini said with a fake smile
"Kiddo, I've been around long enough to know a lie when i hear one. Wanna talk about it?" Steve asked.
"Ya know what...sure, It'll probably get a lot off my mind"
"Well lucky for you im a good listener."
"Its just..." Trini tried to find the right words. "Before I met my teammates and Peter...I thought I was the black sheep everywhere I went. I mean, always moving, no real point in making friends before the whole Ranger thing. But then it happened and...crazy as it sounds, I found what had been looking for, somewhere I belonged."
"Hey, we all were like that at one point, i mean i wasn't always this fit, i used to be scrawny. But someone saw something in me that nobody else did besides Bucky."
"Yeah, that's kinda how I feel about Pete, he saw something in me that I didn't see, it was like..." Trini chuckled. "Jeez this sounds corny, but fate wanted us to meet" Trini says
"Really? He means that much to you, huh?" Steve asked, amusement and happiness clear.
"Yeah i mean, he and i are kinda alike: We were kinda thrown into this crazy world of superheroes, even if he did it way longer than me, and he was the first one besides my teammates who understood me."
A blush crossed her face in spite of everything.
"...That's kinda why i fell for him"
"Ya know? I knew he was a special kid, had a lot of Tony in him...But when we fought at the airport? I kinda saw myself in him" Steve says
"I just wish he were here." Trini said
"Believe me a lot of us are wishing that with different people...do you need anything?" Steve asked, getting ready to leave.
"Not really but if i need anything I'll let ya know" Trini said as Steve walked out of the room. Just before he stepped out, she quickly added:
"And Mr Rogers...Thanks, i needed that."
Steve smiled, happy to have helped.
"Anytime...it's what i do"

"She OK?" Tommy asked once the Super solider left her friend's room.
"She will be, she just needs time to be alone." Steve says as they walked to the others, who were picking at a cold meal.
"We...failed..." Jason repeated for what seemed to be the hundredth time, but felt like the first for him. However, no one blamed him. "Zack...Billy...Peter...everyone...Gone...Its all our fault."
"I don't think there was anything we could've done son, We just got overpowered, simple as that." Steve said
"Agreed..." Alita said wiping her blade. Beside her, Sonic had just ended a call; his adoptive family was safe, but no word on Tails and the others...
Natasha walked through the door with a strange device in her hand.
"I found this while trying to keep New York from turning into a mass frenzy, a pager that belonged to Nick Fury" Natasha explained
"Ok i have a question" Kim raised her hand
"Yes?" Natasha followed
"Who's Nick Fury?" Kim asked
"Fury was the director of SHIELD, he was the one who got the avengers together, and my former boss pretty much, when SHIELD fell, he went into hiding. But I guess he was in New York for a spell and sent out a distress signal to god knows who, but after he did he turned to dust"
"He must've known someone, maybe someone who could help in this kind of situation" Jason figured
"Smart thinking son but the question is...who'd he call?" Steve wondered as the pager died.
"Well, it stopped so...now what?" Rhodey asked
"Find a way to power it back up" Nat said. And that's just what everyone would've done if not for a loud slam from outside. Everyone rushed out to find a female figure in red and blue stood in front of them.
Alita looked on in awe at another powerful female fighter while Sonic was imaging racing her.
"Where's Fury?" The female asked.
Kimberly's eyes widened; she knew who this was!
"Hey, you're the lady who helped us with Rita back in Angel Grove! You said your name was...Captain Marvel right?"
"Yeah Thais me, pleasure to see you again rangers." The woman smiled ever so briefly before her face turned serious. "Now answer my question, that's Nick's pager, he sent the message, where is he?"
"Look in our defence, he got turned to dust like many other people around the world and even the multiverse right now" Kim said
"What?" Captain Marvel asked.
"Yeah, a guy named Thanos got a hold of the Infinity Stones and wiped out the half the multiverse, now please answer our question, just...who are you?" Tommy asked
"I'm Carol Danvers but you can call me Captain Marvel"
"Ok so Captain Marvel, how do you know Fury and why did he call you?" Jason asked
"And more importantly how do you guys know each other?" Sonic asks
"Well allow me to explain the short version." Carol sighed, partly to collect her thoughts but also to push back the greif at the loss of her friend. "I met fury in the 90s when i got my powers. I guess I've been away for too long after I helped a some kid named Peter Parker and the newbies and whoever Thanos is got what he wanted."

No one could sleep, so they spent all night searching.
"So where is he?" Tony asks, having exhausted his own company's and several others' satellites looking for ANY sign of the Mad Titan.
"We don't know, we did planet scans and everything, still couldn't find him" Jason says
"Whats with him?" Tony asks pointing to Thor, who was filling up on junk food and any alchol he could find.
"Oh, he's upset, thinks he's a failure" Alita explains.
Steve, wanting to partly get some postivity and take a break, stepped forward.
"We never properly intrdouced ourselves. Steve Rogers."
"Tommy Oliver." The green ranger smiled, realizng the living legend was right.
"So you're the rest of these rangers?" Steve asked Trini and Tommy.
"Yeah whatever left anyway." Tommy says, her mood dampening and then rising. "Well, there's apparently this other reality where I'm a guy and my nephews..."
She then recalled Flokki turning to dust and andy desperately calling for him. Sensing the mixed feelings, Steve then gives a quick nod then turned to Alita.
"And you're?" Steve asked Alita
"Alita, It is a pleasure to finally meet you Mr Rogers." Alita said shaking Steve's hand.
"Well I'm flattered" Steve says as turned to Sonic with the thought of not asking
"Yeah the crazy world we live in huh? Feels like we're in a fan-fiction or something" Tony says
"Yeah...Tony, we need you, did he give you any clues, any coordinates?"
This was NOT want needed to be said.
"Well, here's the thing, i cant even fathom it, you said we were gonna lose together but you weren't there, were you? So NO cap i have no clues, no coordinates, nothing, no trust liar!" Tony snaps
"OK ENOUGH!" Jason shouted "Nows not the time for this! Look, i understand what happened but don't hold it against him or any of us! We ALL lost so right now it doesn't matter who said what and who lied about something. Its not about you so get your act together Stark!" Ja
"Thank you Jason..." Steve said. "I'll take it from here...I'm sorry Tony"
"He just disappeared but when you find him" Tony says as he takes of the Reactor cover hat contained his armor on his chest "Take this, run and hide"
He then stormed off.
"Well...that was pleasant" Kim said
"He's not well, I'll pick him up some elixir when i get back." Carol says as she readied to leave.
"Now hold up, where are you going?" Kim asked, desperately not wanting to see her leave.
"To kill Thanos." Carol answers.
Trini leapt to her feet.
"If you're going im going too!"
"Trini bad idea." Jason reminded her. "Not only did we get our butts kicked once but last I checked Thanos nearly killed you and Tommy without breaking a sweat, he probably won't miss out a second time, besides remember our rules, we already broke one of them trying to stop him."
But Trini didn't see it that way.
"Look if Zordon were in our shoes he'd do the same thing. Like I said, Thanos escalated when he almost killed us all. I'm still alive and he caused our friends to die!"
"She has an argument there Jase, technically he struck us first and I don't think rules are an option anymore. Besides if Zordon had truly cared about the rules, he'd already address the 'no reveal' rule to us and we'd lose our powers" Tommy said
"Well...that's true, Zordon must've been in a similar situation, he WAS the original red ranger, however its not because of the rules." Jason clarified. "I don't wanna let you go alone. we already lost Zack, Billy and Peter on top of that, i can't lose whatever of my team i have left."
Kimberly was quick to hug her boyfriend.
" And I'm pretty sure Cap feels the same way here. That's why me and Kim are coming with you." Jason said
"Yeah...we're a team...we need each other now more than ever" Kim says
"You in Tommy?" Trini asks
"I guess so, but we don't even know where we're going" Tommy points out
Before anyone else could comment, the door opened, revealing an exhausted Happy Hogan.
"Pe...Pepper? I...I brought them!"
Three children raced into the room. Children the rangers knew and adored.
"Jason!" Pearl, tears in her eyes, cried out as she rushed to her big brother, who was quick to take her into a hug and let out some tears of his own.
"Trin!"
"You little monsters!" The Yellow ranger thoughts of revenge abandoned as she hugged and kissed her little brothers, grateful they were alive and safe.
"Wait, what're they...?" Alita asked.
"You can thank my fiance for that." Pepper cut in. "In case something ever happened, he made arrangements for your family to be brought here."
Jason suddenly realized something.
"D-does that mean mom and dad...?"
Pearl's eyes watered and her lips quivered. Her brother was quick to hold her close.
Exhasution finally caught up to the Rangers and their siblings, which Carol noticed.
"Lets get the kids something to eat and then to bed." She suggested.
No one argued there.
"We'll explain everything in the morning." Trini assured her brothers.

Bright and early the next morning, before the kids awoke, Rocket Racoon made a report.
"Alright well this is earth from yesterday when Thanos snapped his fingers. Caused a big cosmic impulse no ones seen anything like it. Then here's a similar signature from this planet from three hours ago"
"He used the stones again" Nat realized.
"So that's where were going" Alita growled, clenching her fists.
"Right..." Steve ordered. "Everyone. Once the kids wake up, we suit up and head out."
His eyes narrowed.
"Lets get this son of a bitch."
"Wait a tic." Sonic said, pulling out a special phone. "The other Tommy gave it to me...I think Randy will need to hear this."

Things were a little better in the other universe's Angel Grove, but at the same time they were just as bad.
Udonna and the other magic using mentors had used their powers to the utmost limits to shield the earth from the affects of the stone, so more civilians had been sparred. However, by using the grand power in such a manner, they sacrificed themselves in said civilians place...and the Stones seemed to go after other rangers as well.
There had once been an army's worth of rangers, active, retired and semi-active. Now? There were only four.
If any good came out of this, it seemed Templeous' forces were also greatly diminished and the warlord had retreated into his sanctum in depression of losing so many of his followers
Dr. Oliver looked over his three remaining Dragon Rangers: Lily, who was trying to say strong as she mourned her entire family and her best friend, Jet who was filled honestly trying to find a way to forget the sight of Matt and Clark turning to dust..and Randy, who was watching over his napping niece like a hawk.
"That was Sonic. He says they've found Thanos."
No sooner had the words left his mouth, Randy had covered Rayne in a blanket and handed her a teddy before he grabbed his and Flokki's swords
"Randy, remember." Lily said, holding her boyfriend back. "We don't use the great power in revenge."
The angry young man's brow lessened and a sad smile crossed his face. He hugged her and then looked over at Jet, who tossed Randy his owm Green dragon Dagger.
"Randy." Dr. Oliver said.
"Don't stop me uncle. Just port me there. And besides...I don't need to morph for what I'm going to do." Randy hissed, stepping into the portal with only one goal:
Kill Thanos.
