Suiting Up
"Well...sure, only because you asked, if it was someone else I'd tell them something that wasn't pretty." Logan said as he got up
"Thank you Logan" Steve said as he and Logan walked to the training room.
Steve and Logan entered the room as Peter and he gang got ready
"OK, training time kids. Advanced trainees come with me, you kids train with Logan, understood?" Steve asked
"Yes sir!" Everyone said
"OK first things first, you kids got any fighting experience?" Logan asked the young mutants
"Outside of fighting a demon bear, not really" Dani answered.
"Demon Bear?" Peter asked
"Long story" Robbie said
"OK so who wants to go first?" Steve asked
"I'll go first sir" Rahne said quietly as she stepped up as morphed into her half wolf state.
"That's different" Steve said as she swiped at Logan only for Logan to dodge and do a leg sweep causing her to fall down but do a kip up as she leaps in the air and gets on top of Logan and slashes him on the back as Logan throws her off.
"Dang, she's really going at it" Sam says as Logan heals up from his wounds instantly
Rahne growls as she and Logan lock up and drive each other to the wall causing Logan to break the hold and kick her down causing her to morph back to full human.
"Not bad, needs some work!" Logan said as he picks Rahne up as the group applauds
"That was impressive Rahne! Need some work but it wasn't bad at all, stand right there" Steve said as Rahne stands back at looks at Logan
"Sorry i slashed your back...i didn't mean to do that" Rahne said
"It's OK, i heal up easily. Sides you put up a hell of a fight!" Logan said
"Thank you!" Rahne said with a smile
"OK next?" Steve said as Sam stepped up.
"Can...we go outside for this sir? My powers gonna break your room and i don't exactly wanna do that" Sam asked
"Don't worry, this room is reinforced on account of a hulk... You won't break anything" Steve said
"OK" Sam said as an aura engulfed him causing him to bounce around the walls and aimed for Steve causing him to jump in the air and do a twist that make Sam barely miss his target.
"Well...i can see how that can be useful, can you fight son?" Steve asked
"No sir...i relied on my power to fight" Sam said
"Well, Parker and Jason can help you with that" Steve said as he shook Sam's hand
"Thank you Sir" Sam said standing with Peter and Jason.
"Next in line please" Steve said as Illana stepped up.
"You have a choice on who you want to train with Illana, who do you want?" Steve asks
"You sir!" Illana said which drew a gasp from the rest of the mutants.
"OK, show me whatcha got!" Steve said holding his shield as Illana's eyes turned blew and a sword materialized in her hand and a piece of armour engulfed her arm.
"Whoa! Where'd the sword come from?" Kim said as Trini watched in shock
"Well..." Logan said
Illana lunged at Steve as he blocked the sword strike with his shield. Steve threw his shield at Illana who struck it with her sword opening up portals to another dimension.
"What the?" Logan said as a miniature dragon landed on her shoulder which shocked Kim
"I-it's real..." Kim said
Illana dropped her sword as she and Steve fought hand to hand as she striked him in the head twice along with a jab to the ribs as she kicked him down and grabbed her sword.
"Daaaaaaamn!" Robbie said as Tony looked in the window in shock.
"Language!" Steve said trying to catch his breath a Illana turned to normal and Lockheed left as everyone's jaw dropped
"You OK?" Illana asked
"You're good kid! Not just anyone can knock me down. Good job" Steve said as Illana picked him up.
Kim stood speechless as Dani stepped up.
"What can you do?" Steve asked holding his ribs noticing Sharon Carter in the room.
"Hello Steve" Sharon said
"How, what? You-" Steve said as she silenced him
"I'm here Steve" Sharon said as she kissed him only for her to disappear much to everyone's shock
"You...did that?" Steve asked as he looked at Dani
"Yes sir, i have the ability to materialize peoples fears." Dani said
"Well...that can come in handy...please stand over there." Steve said as he rubbed the back of his head
"That just leaves you" Steve says to Robbie who made a ball of fire in his hand and threw it at Steve's shield.
He then proceeded to make an even bigger ball of fire and throw it at his shield again but as he made another one Steve threw his shield at him knocking him down.
"One fatal flaw, need to reload...otherwise not bad, please stand with Rahne" Steve said
"OK now that I know what exactly what you're all capable of, I have put you in groups of two, Rahne and Robbie, you two are to train with Logan, you guys have potential, as for you three, your to train with me and the others. I see potential here. But heads up...it's only just begun." Steve held up his shield.
Trini and Illana sparred and Trini grabbed Illana's arm causing her to drop her sword and kicks Lockheed away. Trini then employed the strategy she learned in the pit but Illana countered with a few elbows to the ribs and kicks Trini down. Trini leg sweeps Illana and makes her fall down.
Rahne and Kim then sparred as Rahne went for a kick as Kim blocked it, then went for a punch that Kim also blocked. Rahne then went half wolf and start slashing at Kim who bobs and weaves dodging every swipe as Rahne went for a swipe at the face which Kim grabbed and flipped Rahne causing her to demorph and lock up with Kim with her gaining the upper hand as Rahne monkey flips her on her back as she went full wolf and howled.
"Um...she went full wolf, what do i do?" Kim asked
"Adapt, find her weakness!" Steve said as he spared with Peter who cling ed to the wall and webbed his shield away from him and threw it at him.
Jason and Sam sparred for a bit trading blows with each other with Jason drop-kicking Sam only for him to get back up and put up his fist with struck Jason twice then kicked him in the gut which gets blocked and countered with Jason grabbing his leg and flipping him.
"I'm okay!" Sam said in pain
"OK then get up!" Jason said as Sam clocked him in the face with a fist and tried a kung fu move only for Jason to block and knock him down with a leg sweep.
Sam then gets up and dropkicks Jason down with Jason uppercutting him.
Peter and Steve trade blows as Peter starts swing kicks him down and webbing his hand as he goes for a punch only for Steve to grab his fist and powers his other hand free from the web and uppercuts him which he recovers from and bicycle kicks him then round house kicks him.
"Using the moves i taught ya babe?" Trini asked taking Illana's hands from her head
"Yeah, and so far it's working" Peter says as he blocks a punch from Steve and clocks him in the face knocking him down.
"WOOHOO! did you see that Trini? I knocked down Capt- OW!" Peter says as Steve got back up and gave him a super-kick to the back.
"That's what you think kid!" Steve said as he got ready for a punch which Peter avoided.
Logan and Dani sparred together which was just Dani playing mind games on Logan making all his worst fears come true which causes his blades to come out and Sonic runs past him tripping him in the process which he then gets up from and grabs Sonic and throws him at the wall which Sonic takes advantage of as he leaps off the wall and curls up to a ball hitting Logan several times and knocking him off balance which Dani just trips him and makes him fall over
"Oops" Dani said as she and Sonic chuckled as Alita stood across from them and pulls out the Damascus blade as Logan gets up and unsheathes the blades in his knuckles and engage in a blade as the Damascus blade didn't cut through his blades much to her surprise and then punches Logan in the ribs as she cuts Logan in the face only for it to heal up in seconds and Alita gets a face of "What have i done" as she dodged several swipes of his blades and punches him in the face which caught him by surprise.
3 hours later
"Alright gang...i think that's enough... Go ahead and call it a day! You all did good." Steve said as everyone exited the room.
"Geez...that was brutal!" Sam said comforting his neck noticing Tommy meditating.
"And why weren't you involved with training?" Sam asked out of curiosity.
"If i did, you all would be in more pain than you're in now" Tommy answered
"You know how to fight?" Sam asked
"Yeah, i take advanced classes and am a red belt...working on getting my black belt." Tommy said.
"Whoa, yeah...definitely understandable, I'm Sam!" Sam introduced himself
"Tommy, i saw you when i showed up with the others at the forest, ya know showing off the powers" Tommy introduced herself
"Yeah? Well that was very different...normally I'm on a chain when doing that but not anymore. I'm kinda learning to aim myself a bit" Sam said
"Well, definitely be careful with that. Do you hurt yourself when you do that?" Tommy asked
"Yeah, sometimes...i had to wear a cast on my arm because i broke my arm doing that, I've been good about it lately though" Sam said
"Well i hope that works out for you" Tommy said
"Yeah, thanks" Sam says
"Hey guys over here! Thor's here!" Peter said
"Oh god! Thor's here! I HAVE to get a pic of me and him." Tommy said leaving to join the others as Sam blushes.
"Well that went well!" Dani said as Sam jumps and shrieks.
"DON'T DO THAT!" Sam says. "Nearly gave me a damn heart attack!"
"I saw that, Yooooooou like her!" Dani playfully teased
"No i do not, i barely know the girl! Besides she looks like shes a lil older than me and I'm only 17."
"She seems nice, why don't you go for it?" Dani says
"No way, i barely know her, not to mention imagine how her friends will feel! They would flip out And on top of that, I'm not exactly the best at romance" Sam said
"Well, i understand some of that but you never know if you never try!" Dani playfully says "Don't worry, this is only between us" Dani assures.
"Good" Sam says as he and Dani join the group as they see Thor and Tony arrive.
"Whoa...it's him, although he's...bigger than i remember." Trini said as Thor entered the room with a drastically different appearance than before. With a bit of a belly and some of his muscles gone.
"Wow...Thor really let himself go!" Tommy said through her teeth.
"I've never seen the man before so i wouldn't know" Rahne said as Thor took a picture with Tommy and Trini.
"Thanks Thor!" Trini said
"You're welcome fair maidens, tis a pleasure!" Thor said as he took a drink of beer.
"OK so that's Thor, now where's-" Steve asked when Nat and Clint arrived.
"Who's that with you Nat?" Alita asked
"This is Clint, aka Hawkeye, Clint these are Peter and our new friends!"
"Hey" Clint simply said to the group as they greeted him. "OK so i fought giant turtles and now I'm seeing hedgehog and a raccoon...y'all seeing this too?" Clint asked.
"Yeah...we see them too, you aren't dreaming" Tony said
"Wait, Mr Clint? You met giant turtles?" Alita asked
"Yeah, you know anything about them? They kinda ambushed me and failed in Japan!" Clint asked
"You didn't kill them did you?" Alita asked
"Nope as a matter of fact they retreated, don't know where they could be now" Clint answers which gave Alita a look of relief.
"Anyone wanna explain?" Steve asks
"Long story short, giant turtles who are ninjas" Alita said.
"OK after all the things I've seen that's actually normal, anyway team now it's time to test something... Rocket and Tony and even Scott worked all day on this one!" Steve says as the group looks at a suit with Scott in it
"Ooooh, time travel suit?" Trini asked
"That's right Tweety bird and Scott's gonna test it!" Tony said which drew a look of confusion from Trini.
"Tweety bird? Really?" Trini asked
"Ey, I'm a wizard of nicknames. You know who you're talking to?" Tony asked sarcastically.
"I pilot a Sabertooth and you're going with Tweety Bird." Trini asked, demand of confirmation clear in her tone.
"What, you want me to call Sylvester?'"
"Fair enough" Trini said as Scott notices Bruce handling a vile of substance.
"Whoa! Whoa, Please be careful with that!" Scott says with concern.
"I'm being careful!" Bruce said as everyone looked at Scott
"No You're being very Hulk-y!" Scott said
"OK Scott, easy alright, we'll be extremely careful with whatever that is" Richards says
"THAT is Pym Particles! Ever since Hank Pym got snapped out of existence this is it! We can't make any more!" Scott says
"How much we have?" Jason
"Enough for one round trip each! Plus two test runs" Scott accidentally presses a button on the suit and shrinks. "Er, make that one test run"
Kim shaking her head in exasperation.
"Of course..." Peter said. As Scott got ready Clint walked up
"Ey, I'll do it...can't be any weirder at this point!" Clint volunteered.
"You sure...it ain't gonna be fun" Steve said.
"I'm sure...better me than the newbie" Clint said as Scott took off the suit and handed it to Clint who then put it on.
"OK Clint you will feel some sickness because that's because of the coronal shift, it'll take a few seconds to pass, alright?" Reed said as Rhodes walked up
"Ya know if we can do this, why don't we just find baby Thanos and ya know?" Rhodey asked signalling a strangling motion which drew some gasps from the group.
"OK first off that's horrible!" Bruce said
"Yeah man, seriously?" Sonic asked
"And second off time travel doesn't work that way!" Bruce said
"That's what i always heard" Peter said
"And Where'd you hear that?" Bruce said as most of the younger people in the group answered
"Back to the future" Robbie answered
"Time after time" Illana followed up
"Doctor who" Kim then answered
"Quantum Leap" Trini followed up
"Hot tub time machine, somewhere in time" Rhodey finishes "this is known."
"I don't know why everyone believes that but that's actually not true...think about it, the future becomes the present while your present becomes the past which cant now be changed by your new future" Reed says
"Exactly" Nebula says
"Then back to the future is a bunch BS?" Scott asks
"Yes, Scott...yes" Trini answers sarcastically
"OK, so three...two...one" Bruce said as Clint dissipated then reappeared after two seconds with a baseball glove
"It worked!" Peter says as everyone cheered.
"OK so we got the how it works...now we just need to know the when and where" Steve said
"Everyone to the other room please" Nat says as everyone headed to the living room
"OK so there are...a lot of us and a few of us had an encounter with at least one of the six infinity stones" Steve said acknowledging the expanded group
"Replace encounter with "damn near killed by one of the six infinity stones" Tony said as the rest of the group was lost and Illana raises her hand
"Yes Ilanna?" Nat asked
"Just...what are the infinity stones?" Illana asked
"OK i understand we have a few new people in the room but we're actually going to explain the six infinity stones" Tony said as Bruce intervenes
"Regardless of whether our new friends know about them, these stones have been in a lot of different places throughout history" Bruce says
"Our history at least" Trini says
"Which means we're gonna have to pick our targets" Clint says
"Correct, so let's get started with the aeather, Thor what do you know?" Steve asked a sleeping Thor.
"Is he seriously asleep?" Kim asked
"Nah, pretty sure he's dead" Rhodey said as Sonic grabbed a permanent marker only for Alita to take it away shaking her head as Thor woke up
"Ah, where to start? Um, the Aether. Firstly, not a stone. Someone called it a stone before... it's more of an angry sludge sort of thing so, someone's gonna need to amend that and stop saying that. Here's an interesting story though about the Aether: my grandfather, many years ago, had to hide the stone from the Dark Elves. Scary beings. So Jane, actually, actually, actually Jane is a, is a old flame of mine. Uh, you know she, she stuck her hand inside a rock this one time and, and then the Aether stuck itself inside her, and she became very, very sick and so I had to take her to Asgard which is where I'm from, and we had to try and fix her. We were dating at the time. See I got to, I got to introduce her to my mother who's dead. And um, oh you know and Jane and I aren't even dating anymore so...these things happen though you know. Nothing lasts forever. The only thing that..."
"Why don't you come and sit down?" Tony asks
"I'm not done. The only thing that is permanent in life is impermanence." Thor says as Tony interrupted him
"Eggs? Breakfast?" Tony asks
"No. I'd like a Bloody Mary." Thor asks which got everyone shaking their heads.
"Isn't it a little early to be drinking sir?" Sam asked as Thor chuckled
"Nonsense! Any times a good time for a drink" Thor said as he smiled
"OK...next up time stone, should be self explanatory right?" Tony said "Mr Strange said he had a vow to protect that thing, judging by the name, I'm assuming that it can manipulate time and all that jazz" he continued.
"Yeah... I can imagine" Illana said as she looked at space stone.
"The space stone...was in the tesseract, before Thanos got to it at least and all we know it can do is open portals." Bruce said
"It was gonna be used as an energy source but was thankfully scrapped" Tony adds
"So that tiny pebble was gonna power the world...must be some powerful energy" Ben said as Rahne was taking notes.
"Very interesting" Rahne said as Peter had a look as if he was impressed.
"Next up, the power stone. Quill said he stole this from Morag. Very powerful energy, unless you're an alien being...this thing will blow you to smithereens" Rocket says
"I see...something like that could have the ability to power my city for eons" Alita said as everyone had a raised eyebrows
"Remember i come from the future...it isn't exactly your vision of flying cars or living on the moon" Alita clarified
"You're from the future? Quick what's today's lottery numbers?" Robbie asked which earned him a knock on the head from Sam
"Not. Helping!" Sam said
"Anyway...the mind stone is in a man called Loki's sceptre. Shield confiscated it and later it was stolen by Hydra" Steve explained
"And I'm assuming by its name, it can control peoples minds?" Rahne asks
"We're quite unsure however we know it has a mind of its own" Tony answers
"Mhm which leaves us with the soul stone...question is how did Thanos get it?" Steve wondered
"He went to Voramir and killed my sister for it. A soul...for a soul" Nebula answered
"OK...well that answers that" Tommy says as everyone sat up.
"Now let's start planning bub, who's going where?" Logan asks
"Well we have... ten teenagers including Sonic and ten adults so we'll break into 4 teams of 6, Myself, Parker, Tony, Scott, Trini and Bruce will get the sceptre, the cube and the time stone. Nat, Clint, Kim, Rahne, Dani and Sonic will retrieve the soul stone. Thor, Jason, Tommy, Rocket, Sam and Robbie will get the reality stone. Rhodey, Nebula, Illana, Reed and Ben will go to Moragg and retrieve the Power Stone." Steve explained
"Wait we're going?" Dani asked as Steve looked at her
"Yes...yes you are because i truly think you're ready." Steve answered
A few hours later
Everyone starts walking to the time machine while Steve's speech is heard in the background
"Five years ago we lost, all of us, we lost friends, we lost family, we lost apart of ourselves, now we have a chance to take it all back, you know your teams and you know your missions, get the stones, get them back, we only have enough for one round trip each, no mistakes, no do-over. Most of us are going somewhere we know, doesn't mean we know what to expect. Be careful and look out for each other. We're in for the fight of our lives" Steve said
"And we're gonna win" Tony added
"Whatever it takes" Steve said
"Good luck" Steve says
"He's pretty good at that" Sonic says
"I know right" Scott exclaims
"OK stroke those keys jolly green" Tony innuendoed
"OK thrusters engaged" Bruce said
Rocket gives Clint a tiny version of the guardians ship
"You promise to return that in one piece right?" Rocket asked
"Yeah yeah yeah" Clint said
"As promises go, that was pretty pathetic" Rocket says
"See ya in a minute" Widow says
Everyone gets ready to enter the quantum realm
"Oh boy its 2014 all over again" Logan said as everyone shrank down
"Here goes nothing..." Trini said as everyone disappears
