Chapter 13

Rory POV

Once the official copy of the merger made its way to my desk, Colin and I quickly sprung into action. We were having a brand-new office built in New York. We'd decided that since Colin spent most of his nights with me anyway, that it made the most sense for us to move into together (not that I would object), so when the new office was finished we'd both be moving to New York together. I'd announced to the board that when the new office was finished, Colin and I would be running the New York office, while my father took over the Hartford office. I would remain as CEO while Colin would become the VP. My father wasn't exactly happy but he understood. Francine was even less happy. She was just lucky that I wasn't removing her from the board. I also told the board that we'd be adding the McCrae name to the company name. That got a rise out of several board member, one which happened to be my great uncle William. The board tried to tell me that it was blasphemy that I would be changing a company name that had been in existence for forty years. I reminded the board that I was in charge and if they didn't like it, I would be glad to buy them out. There were quite a few board members that I really wanted to get rid of.

After the board meeting, Colin and I headed back to my office. When I walked in, I sat in my desk chair and looked up at Colin who had closed the door and was leaning against it. "What?" I asked him.

He had a look of desire on his face. "Do you know how hot you looked commanding that board meeting?" He said.

I couldn't help but lean back in my chair and laugh at him. "You think so, Mr. McCrae?" I asked seductively.

He nodded. "Mhmm. I think that you should let me take you home and do naughty things to you." He said.

I bit my bottom lip. "Really? Is that what you think?" I asked. Once again he nodded. "Well, who am I to argue." I said, as I began to pack up my things for the day. When Colin and I reached my secretary, Lacey's desk, I told her that I was leaving for the day. If there was an emergency she could call me but if not then whatever it was could wait. She politely agreed.

The moment Colin and I made it inside my condo and the door was shut, he had me pinned against the door causing me to drop everything that I was holding. "Couldn't wait for me to at least put my stuff down, Col?" I asked.

He shook his head, "Hell no. I need you. Watching you in that board meeting today turned me on more than I thought possible." He said as he started kissing my face, my neck and trailing kisses down to my collarbone.

"Well then…you might be pleased to see what I have on underneath my work attire. Would you like to see?" I asked him, seductively.

He lifted his head up from my collarbone and his eyes darkened. "May I?" He asked.

I looked at him through my lashes. "Have you been a good boy? Or have you been naughty?" I asked.

"I've been good but oh the images running through my head of all of the naughty things that I want to do you…." He said, letting his thought trail off.

"Hmm…the possibilities. Now in order for you to see what I have… your gonna have to let go of me." I said.

Colin quickly let go of me. I picked up my stuff from the floor and walked over to the breakfast bar in the kitchen to sit it down. I then began to make my way back to my bedroom. I was sure that Colin was following me.

Walking into my bedroom, I began taking off my jewelry. I knew that taking my time would torture Colin but I couldn't help myself. I turned around and saw Colin standing in the doorway. "Sit on the bed, I'll only be a moment." I said calmly, which I knew would not only frustrate him but turn him on even more. I walked over to my dresser and opened my jewelry box, placing the jewelry I'd taken off in it. When I turned around, Colin was sitting on the edge of my bed. "What?" I asked with a smile.

"You're so beautiful. How did I get so lucky?" He said.

I slipped my shoes off and walked over to him. I placed my hands on each side of his face. "I'm the lucky one. You found me when I needed someone the most. You put me back together, Col. I don't know what I'd do without you." I said. I leaned down and kissed him.

When I pulled back, he had a smirk on his face. "Now can I see?" He asked.

I rolled my eyes. "Yes, you can see now." I said.

After an intense round of sex, Colin and I were laying in my bed. He had an arm wrapped around me, while I laid my head on his chest. "So, I've been thinking…" Col started.

"About what?" I asked him.

"I think that we should take a trip. Just the two of us." Colin said.

"I think that might could be arranged. I could get Dad to oversee the construction of the new office and the Grandma's are working on the launch party. When were you thinking that we should go?" I said.

"Probably next week. Gives me time to get things set up." Colin said.

"Sounds good. Are you gonna tell me where we're going?" I asked.

"Nope. And no…you're not getting a clue either." He said.

"Fine." I said, pouting.

Colin POV

That evening, Rory had gone to meet up with Paris who was having some sort of crisis with Doyle, so I decided to use that time to go see Finn. Right now, he was the only one that could help me get things set up for our trip. Then I needed to set up a lunch with Christopher, Lorelai and Luke.

I pulled into the parking lot of the Hotel that Finn was working at for the moment and made my way inside. The concierge was happy to point me in the direction of Finn's office. His door was open so I lightly knocked on the door. He looked up at me. "Hey mate." He said.

"Hey, was wondering if I could ask you for a favor?" I said, walking into his office and sitting in front of his desk.

He leaned back in his chair. "What can I help with?" He asked.

"So, I'm planning a trip with Rory and I was wondering if I could use your beach house?" I said.

He looked at me surprised. "Your taking Rory to Australia?" He asked.

I nodded. "Yeah. If I can get her family's blessing, I'm planning to propose while we're there." I told him.

"That's big." He said.

I nodded. "Yeah. I just thought that your beach house would be a good place to go. It's far enough that nobody will bother us and its remote enough that she can relax. She's been working too hard." I said.

He nodded. "Are you gonna tell anyone else about your plans?" He asked me. I knew who he was referring to.

I shrugged. "I'm not sure. Granted he's been better about my relationship with her lately, but he's still not thrilled about it…despite the fact that he married Steph." I said.

"I know." He said. He opened his desk drawer and pulled out a set of keys, tossing them to me. "Don't destroy my house." He said with a smirk.

"Thanks." I said.

On the drive back to Rory's condo, I decided to swing my mine so that I could call her parents. They were immediately suspicious about why I wanted to meet for lunch the next day, but at the same time I'm pretty sure that they also knew the reason for it. The only thing I could hope for was that everything went okay.
