Kaede's group make their way through maintenance way until they find a grate that they kick down which seemed to have lead them to a bright light hallway. Getting down to the hallway, was not a silent affair.
"Come on, just come down." Tucker stood in the hallway wirh his arms wide open ready to catch Aiko from jumping from the vent. The situation wasn't that far from coaxing a cat from a tree it had climbed up.
"I said just give me a minute!" Aiko shouts abck to him as she steels herself.
"Alright, this is taking too long." Kaede says to herself before she lifts Aiko up with her vectors.
"Hey! What!" Aiko exclaims as Kaede lowers her down into the hallway.
"Sorry." Kaede says before lowering herself down with her own vectors.
"Man, that looked bad ass." Tucker commemts to Kaede.
"Heh, yeah. I bet I looked like a Final Fantasy or Kingdom Hearts character." She responds.
"Yeah, I didn't play any of those." Tucker says.
"So much for being quiet." Doc sighs before jumping down himself.
"So, where too?" Tucker asks no one in particular.
"I think..." Kaede is overcome by waves of forign emotions. Lots.of them, coming from all dirrections. "I think we're here."
"You okay?" Aiko asks her.
"I just... feel their hurt and anger among other things." Kaede sighs.
"Then we should make then feel relieved that they're free." Tucker declares before heading through one of the tons of doors, this one labeled with a big 6. The other three follow him into the room to find themselves in a small control room with a large window overlooking a young girl, chained, naked to the wall. Her head is down letting her shoulder length hair obscure her face. Dried blood srains the area around her.
Aiko covers her mouth which is left agap in horror, Kaede's eyes are wide at the inhumanity before her.
"Thats... thats fucked up." Tucker breathes.
"We should help her!" Doc exclaims.
"Yeah." Kaede agrees. She runs i to the other room flanked by Tucker and Doc. Upon hearing the door ooen the girl lifts her head and her eyes widen upon seeing them. "Don't worry, we're here to help you." she assures the girl when she gets to her. Kaede tries using her vectors to cut through the chains, but to her surprise, she can only make slight cuts on it.
"Damn. Tucker?" She turns to the teal soldier who activates his energy sword and gets to work cuting the girls bonds. The girl meanwhile, just looks to Kaede in awe.
"Who are you?" She asks.
"Me? My name is Kaede." She tells her. The girl, number 6, breathing hitches in realization.
'This is the Queen!' She thinks as Tucker cuts her loose. 'She came for me! Its finally happening! We're going to overthrow humanity and the Diclonius will take their place as the ruling species!'
She rubs her now freed wrist as Tucker puts away his energy sword.
"Is there a coat or something in here we can give her?" Tucker shouts to the room behind him.
"Yeah! Right here!" Aiko skouts back before she runs in with a lab coat in her hands. #6 gets super alert at Aiko's apperance and reaches out with one of her vectors to strike the human down leaving the other two unaware. Kaede sees this however and uses her own vector to hold #6's vector back.
"Stop! Aiko won't hurt you! She's not like the people who kept you here!" Aiko stops in her tracks as Kaede tells this to the girl. Did shejust try to use those weird powers on her.
"But even so, isn't it our duty to erase the world of humans so us Diclonius can floorish on this earth?" #6 asks. "The humans say so, that is why they stop us. And the voice also says so."
"Both of them are wrong!" Kaede explains.
#6 then comes to a realization about something. "Or maybe your wrong."
".. say what now?" Tucker says to no one.
"I get it now! Your just another trick by the Institute! Or your just another one of us simply posing as queen Kaede!" #6 exclaims.
"She is right, you know." She hears DNA in her head. "The way you resist, it is almost like you are a pretender."
"What?! No! I am Kaede!" Kaede excliams.
"I'm noticing everything is getting a little tense, why don't we all just take deep breaths?" Doc suggests. "In... *Inhales* Out-" Doc is then tosed out of the room and into the observation room, smashing the glass that previously seperated the two.
"Aiko! Get back!" Kaede screams as Tucker activates his sword and readies for a fight.
"You made a big mistake releasing me for this trick." #6 says as she readies herself to kill the lowly humans and their pretender of a Diclonius.
"No. You made the perfect choice." DNA tells Kaede. "Perhaps she can beat you to your senses."
Elsewhere Donut leads Lopez, Mayu and Nana through the facility.
"It's this way. It's definitely this way." Donut leads on.
"Espero que no's lleves hacia un grupo de soldados y te disparen y mueras." Lopez says in response.
"You're right Lopez. I am really good at leading." Donut says.
"Yes! You seem like you know where we need to go like you know this place!" Nana ecstatically agrees.
"Espero que los dejemos a Ambon atrás por muertos." Lopez adds.
"Um, I don't think he actually knows where he is going." Mayu tells Nana.
"Nonsense!" Donut overhears them. "I admit that I don't know this place, but I do have faith that we are going in the right direction."
"No tengo fe en ninguno de ustedes." Lopez says in reply.
"Thanks for the vote of confidence, Lopez!" Donut cheerily thanks the spanish robot.
The group then hears footsteps, albight very clumsy ones coming their way. Lopez readies his rifle and Donut does the same while Nana readies her vectors while shielding Mayu. The person making the footsteps stumble into view as they struggle to keep a cup of coffee on a tray from slipping off and smashing.
"Oh man. Not an emergency again. As if this wasn't hard enough." The woman groans to herself.
"Hi there." Donut lowers the rilfe and greets the woman.
"Oh, um hi! Sorry if I'm not supposed to be here." The woman apologizes.
"Maldita sea, esta mujer es lenta." Lopez remarks.
"Oh no, thats fine. We are just new here and would very much like it if you could point us in the dirrection of the holding cells." Donut says.
"Holding cells?... You mean the place where they hold the dangerous diseases they are researching? Those would be in the lower levels." The woman tells them. "The elevator is just straight ahead and then take a right. Can't miss it."
"Thanks miss..." Donut trails off.
"Kisiragi. I'm Kisiragi."
"Thats a nice name. I'm Donut, and this here is Lopez." Lopez waves as Mayu and Nana hide behind the two soldiers to avoid Kissiragi's sight.
"Those are such strange names. Oh! I didn't mean that in a bad way though." Kisiragi amends.
"Thats alright. Hopefully we'll see each other again." Donut says.
"Yeah. You seem like a really nice person. Goodbye for now Donut and Lopez." And like that, Kisiragi got back to stummbling to where ever she was going.
"Sí... ella es retrasada. Es sorprendente còmo ella no èsta en nuestro penqueño grupo." Lopez says.
"I agree Lopez. She did seem like such a nice person." Donut "translates."
"She seemed a little clumsy and airheaded." Mayu comments.
"She was funny." Nana adds.
"Yeah. Anyway, lets get going to that elevator now." Donut leads the group, following Kisiragi's directions.
"Is it me, or isn't it strange how we haven't come across anyone since wandering in?" Yuka questions to her group.
"Its not just you." Arakawa agrees.
"Maybe they are busy fighting the others?" Kouta suggests.
"IS ANYBODY STILL HERE?" Caboose yells to anyone who would listen.
"Caboose!" The rest of the group exclaims to him.
"WHAT?" he yells back.
"They're here! How did they get past us? Get them!" they hear from behind them.
"Oh no!" Yuka starts stressing. Bullets then wizz by the teens heads prompting the rest of the group to make a run for it.
"Stairs! Over there!" Arakawa points ahead to a helpfully labeled doorway leading to said stairs.
"Hopefully this takes us where we need to go " Kouta says to himself as his group repaidly descends into the building."
Remember how in some chapters I dedicated some chapters to random shit of mine that broke? Yeah, this one goes to my ps3's disc drive. It gave me such precious memories I'll miss it... until I get a replacment... and then forget it immediately.
