On their way to Hearthome City, they stopped by a nearby rest stop where sat down and had a picnic while their Pokemon ran around and played with each other while Aaron checked his map.

"So according to this map, to get to Hearthome City we will need to pass through Mt. Coronet first." Aaron said to them.

Cynthia soon looked up from her soup with awe-struck amazement and wonder. She had constantly heard about Mt. Coronet as it was one of her grandmother's favorite research subjects to tackle due to the vast history of Sinnoh simply existing within the mountain range.

But actually, getting a chance to explore it? That would be a dream come true.

"Let's go there. I am sure we can find some interesting Pokemon there that we can find and try to capture." Cynthia said to them.

Dahlia soon said that she was also interested in exploring the mountain as she had never heard of before until recently. However soon a seemingly wild Bronzor soon approached them making them confused.

"Bronzor?"

Dahlia soon brought out her Pokedex and scanned it.

"Bronzor, the Bronze Pokemon. A Steel and Psychic-type, they are found in ancient tombs. The patterns on their backs are said to be imbued with mysterious power."

"That is interesting, I saw some Bronzors on Route 206. Maybe this one followed us all the way here?"

However Dahila was proven that was wrong as Bronzor's trainer soon approached them. He was around their age as he has a fairly lean build and with a maroon suit and a white handkerchief being folded neatly into the pocket. His eyes matched his hair, purple-blue as a glasses sat on his eyes making him feel like a stranger but one they felt like they could trust.

Cynthia soon looked him up and down and began to blush. Normally she wasn't one for checking people out but she couldn't help but admit he was cute. However as she was doing this, she didn't notice Dahlia sporting a jealous frown.

"Bronzor, there you are. Sorry about that if he troubled you, they have a tendency to wander off at times. My name is Lucian Young, nice to meet you." He said to them.

He had an accent to him, a certain drawl that Cynthia couldn't help but find attractive as continued to blush.

"Well, hello there, it is nice to meet you. My name is Cynthia Shirona, this are my friends Dahlia Stars and Aaron Antonelli. We are just on our way to Hearthome City to challenge the gym there." Cynthia said to them.

Lucian looked interested in that as he sat down on the picnic blanket as Bronzor went to play with the other Pokemon.

"The Hearthome Gym? That is quite an interesting gym, they specialize in Ghost-type Pokemon and their gym leader is quite the fashionista. I heard she even participates in the contests that they hold there from time to time." Lucian said to them.

"It sounds like you know much about them."

Wordlessly, Lucian reached into his bag and pulled out his badge case and showed three badges, the recent third one being the Relic Badge from the Hearthome Gym.

"Wow! You actually won there?" Cynthia asked.

"Sure did! The gym leader is very though despite her quirks so I would advise you to go in with a sound strategy."

Cynthia thought about it. Most of her Pokemon didn't know much about Ghost-type nor did they know moves that could counter Ghost-types. So Lucian was right, she would need a sound strategy do deal with this gym leader.

"Well then… mind if you have a battle with me?" Cynthia asked him with a determined look on his face.

Lucian was caught off guard a bit but soon accepted and went to a field to battle.

Cynthia and Lucian stood across from each other both holding their first Pokemon as Aaron acted as the referee.

"Alright this will be a 3-on-3 battle consisting o battles. The first trainer to reach two wins will be declared the winner. Is that ok?" Aaron asked.

Both Cynthia and Lucian nodded.

"Alright battle begin."

"Roselia, battle dance!"

Cynthia sent out Roselia as her first Pokemon as the Thorn Pokemon was excited to continue the streak that she had going on from the Eterna Gym.

"Alright Kirlia, it is your time to shine!"

Soon Lucian sent out his first Pokemon, Kirlia who did a happy little dance before soon getting ready to battle.

"Roselia use Magical Leaf!"

"Kirlia counter with Psychic!"

Soon both Pokemon launched their attacks as the razor-sharp leaves were reflected back by Kirlia's Psychic and hit Roselia with her own attack.

"Now use Psybeam!"

Kirlia soon fired a blast of Psychic energy that soon slammed directly into Roselia for super-effective damage as Roselia struggled to get up.

"Roselia use Poison Sting!"

Roselia soon fired several Poison Stings in the air only for Kirlia to dodge them and get behind the Thorn Pokemon.

"Use Draining Kiss!"

Kirlia soon kissed Roselia which sapped all her strength away and soon made her fall over, knocked out.

"Roselia is unable to battle, Kirlia is the winner!"

Cynthia sighed before recalling Roselia and telling she did well and that she deserved a nice long rest.

Lucian petted Kirlia before recalling him as Cynthia stared down Lucian.

"You know, you are pretty strong for someone with three badges."

"Thanks, you have also raised your Pokemon well from what I have seen."

Cynthia soon went to grab Shellos' Pokeball… only for Togepi to came out instead.

"Huh Togepi? What are you doing here?"

Togepi soon chirped happily as he pointed to the battlefield and ran onto to it.

"So you want to battle this time?" Cynthia asked.

Togepi nodded as Cynthia smiled at him and soon said he got this.

"Alright Kadabra, it is time to shine!"

Soon Lucian's Kadabra came out ready for a battle as Aaron declared the battle to begin.

"Kadabra use Focus Punch!"

Kadabra soon threw a haymaker at Togepi with a blue fist only for Togepi to use his smaller body to dodge the attack.

"Togepi use Yawn!"

Togepi soon let out a yawn which produced a bubble that hit Kadabra, the bubble made Kadabra feel drowsy and soon fell asleep.

Lucian looked irritated and pleaded with Kadabra to wake up as Togepi soon used Metronome and used Extreme Speed to knock into Kadabra dealing even more damage.

"Now use Pound!"

Togepi soon ran up and smacked Kadabra in the face and that was finishing blow as Kadabra was knocked out.

"Kadabra is unable to battle, Togepi is the winner!"

Togepi soon celebrated as he ran into Cynthia's arms and nuzzled her a bit. Cynthia petted him before recalling him as Lucian did the same thing to his Kadabra.

"Alright then, Gible battle dance!"

Cynthia sent out her starter as Gible soon came out with her usual determined look.

"Alright then, Bronzor it is your time to shine!"

Soon Bronzor came out as they and Gible soon stared each other down.

"Alright Gible use Dragon Breath!"

Gible soon let out a beam of dragonic energy that hit Bronzor and soon let they were severely damaged but they soon shook it off.

"Bronzor use Extrasensory!"

Bronzor soon used Extrasensory as a pink glow soon enveloped Gible and soon slammed her in the wall. Gible soon broke free and use Sand Tomb to launch a super effective attack on Bronzor before suddenly glowing a bit.

"Gible what is going on?" Cynthia asked.

Gible soon gave out a massive roar as she soon began changing shape and finished her evolution into a Gabite.

Cynthia stood in awe as her newly evolved Gabite soon slashed the air with her newest move: Dragon Claw.

"Alright then, Gabite use Dragon Claw!"

Gabite with much more improved speed used Dragon Claw on Bronzor and knocked it out with one attack.

"Bronzor is unable to battle! Gabite is the winner which means the winner is Cynthia!"

Cynthia soon and hugged her newly evolved Gabite as Lucian recalled Bronzor and walked up to Cynthia.

"Congratulations. It is clear you have raised your Pokemon well, may our paths cross again and have another battle if it does."

Cynthia nodded as the three of them soon saw Lucian walk off as they continued their journey to Hearthome City.
