Controlled Chaos Forger of Worlds

Chapter 8

Earlier:

Harry, Firehair, and Gaia stood in the blue-white space formed by the cosmic cube's energy.

Harry raised his left hand, and the space's blue-white floor rose to form a large round table. Energy flared from the table, creating a simulacrum of three earths.

Harry looked at the women before him. "Initially, I planned to create a dimension as a haven for mutant kind, but now, a new idea has come to mind."

"Using the energies of your universes, we will enlarge my world, creating new continents. On these continents, we can place your people. However, because of the differences of our worlds, we will have to be there to guide them."

Firehair shared a look with Gaia before turning to Harry, "That shouldn't be an issue?"

Harry shook his head, "With the changes we are making, the balance of power will shift in my world, and at least two of us will need new identities."

Harry placed his hand and the simulacrum of his world and reached out with his mind. Space around him rippled as it connected to his universe, and time stopped. "From this moment onward, I will be the world forger. I will take all matter and energy and forge it into a place for our people to live."

Gaia placed her hand on the simulacrum of her world; it shimmered and shifted as everything that was her world was condensed into that small representation. "I will be the cosmic mother, the nurturer of life of our world and its people. I will strive to protect the environment in which they live."

Firehair placed her hand on the miniature of her world, and like Gaia's, everything was condensed into that small representation. "I will be The Farrier; I will collect the souls of the dead, purify them, and put them back in the life cycle."

"Now that our paths are chosen, we must merge the worlds." As one, they push their worlds toward the center of the pedestal.

Ripples shot out from the worlds as they drew closer: the trio's vision expanded. They watched as Harry's earth grew three times its size and continents rose from the ocean. It was only thanks to frozen time that untold destruction wasn't released.

The worlds merged into one, and bright flashes of light scattered across the new islands as the people from Firehair's and Gaia's worlds were released from their stasis.

Reaching for the New Earth, Harry flicked his hand, and things rose on the islands as a vial of Andromeda's super soldier formula appeared in his hand. Flicking his wrist, he handed the vial to Gaia, "We had originally planned to merge this with your world; I thought since the planet changed, we could merge it with the islands."

Gaia turned to Firehair, "Is that okay with you?"

Firehair cocked her head, "What does it do?"

"Merging this serum with the land will enhance the vegetation, allowing those who live on the islands to gain power after eating it."

"That sounds fine; it will give our people a better chance to survive."

Gaia lowered the vial toward the two new islands. It split within her hand, creating two identical copies that merged with the land.

While Gaia worked, Firehair turned to Harry, "You said before that our power would be diminished in your world, but we would still have access to the infinity stones because of the portal opened to the realm we were going to create, but since we are not creating a realm what happened to our abilities."

"Our unique makeup and the changes made to the infinity stones will allow us to adapt to any universe. In this specific case, the infinity stones will be transformed into new concepts for the universe. Because of your psychic nature, you will become the embodiment of something called the Sage force, a force from which those with psychic abilities can increase their power."

"A byproduct of your merger with Phoenix also creates the emotional spectrum, where people can draw power from an energy spectrum of emotions."

"What about Gaia?"

Gaia raised her head, the vials having finished merging with the islands, "My infinity stones will boost my connection to life force, linking me to life in the universe."

Time began to unfreeze, and an archway shone with light to the far left of the space.

Harry turned toward the portal as Gaia and Firehair moved to stand on either side of him, "Are you ready to explore our new world?"

Both women gave him a deadpanned look.

"Relax, it was rhetorical."

Now:

Harry stared from the archway at the new island a short distance from New Haven. A man had frozen as he walked into what looked like a prison.

Reaching out with his mind, Harry probed the people of the island. In his absence, superhumans had been rounded up across Europe and placed in prisons. He shook his head, "I should've expected Morgan to make a political move."

A Triquetra burned behind them as Gaia, Harry, and Firehair stepped out of the arch.

XX –

Callisto tensed as the three unknown individuals stepped out of the arch. Callisto pushed off the island as it closed behind them, soaring into the air. Coming to a stop a few feet away, Callisto allowed her hands to dip down to the daggers at her waist.

"Who are you, and what do you want?" She asked, eyeing the three individuals. There were two women and a man.

A redheaded woman stepped forward. She was 5'10" tall and curvy, with slightly tanned skin, green eyes, and wavy red hair.

She wore a white gown with a plunging neckline that showed off her bust and hugged her curves.

"We want nothing but to guide our people and return a friend of yours home." She gestured to the white-haired man beside her.

Callisto took him in, trying to find anything familiar about him.

He was 6'2" tall, with broad shoulders, defined muscle, sun-kissed skin, and short white hair that drew attention to slightly pointed ears. His Emerald eyes glowed with an inner power as he looked back at her, a confident smirk turning up one corner of his lips.

He wore a pale blue button-down shirt underneath a dark blazer, slacks, and polished dress shoes. White wings burst from his back, flapping gently to keep him aloft.

As her silent observation stretched on, the stranger's smirk widened, "You know, if I wouldn't have changed so much, I'd be offended after everything we went through." His eyes moved up and down her body, "It's good to see you awake after that beating the Sentinel gave you. It's also interesting to see the changes Andromeda's serum makes to one's mutation."

Callisto's eyes widened. "Harry?" She whispered.

The white-haired man nodded.

Callisto's hands curled into a fist. A part of her wanted to believe him, but as part of New Haven, she had a duty to protect its people.

Seeing the struggle in her eyes, Harry inclined his head, "Good, you're not letting your emotions rule you," he shook his head, "although I expected nothing less. You can call Amelia and have her look at my soul if you want. That's one thing that wouldn't change."

Callisto nodded slowly, her gaze flicking to the woman on Harry's right.

She was 6'8" tall, curvy with a large bust, luscious Brown hair, and rich Brown eyes the color of caramel. Muscle stood out against tanned skin, giving her an exotic beauty.

A white toga accented with a dark green border showed off hidden curves.

Catching her eyes, Harry gestured to the redhead, "This is Firehair, also known as the Farrier, cleaner and carrier of souls in the cycle of rebirth."

He gestured to the brown-haired woman, "This is Gaia from another reality, but through our adventures, she has been changed and has taken on the name, the cosmic mother, nurturer of life throughout the universe."

Callisto inclined her head to the two women before her gaze settled on Harry, "If you're with them, what does that make you?"

Harry looked away, suddenly self-conscious about the name he had chosen for himself, "Forger of worlds," he mumbled, "master of matter and energy."

Firehair and cosmic Gaia looked at Harry, surprised by the sudden change in his demeanor.

Callisto nodded, turning away, "I guess it fits. If you are Harry, you did have a strong hand in making this island." She flew toward the island, using her mental connection with Nadira and Jani to ask them to call for the Council.

Catching the eyes of Firehair and Gaia, Harry raised an eyebrow, "What? She was the first friend I had in this world."

A small smile played across Gaia's lips, "So, was there anything between the two of you?"

Harry shook his head, "No, with everything I had going on, I had only begun exploring relationships in this world when I was assassinated."

XX –

Thirty minutes later, Harry, Firehair, and Gaia stood before the ruling council of New Haven.

Amelia removed her forearm from Harry's chest, the translucent appendage becoming more solid. She turned to the Council, "It's him, but his power is vastly different."

Jonas leaned forward, "Which confirms what Gaia told me."

The cosmic mother turned toward Jonas, "So, you met my counterpart?"

Jonas inclined his head, "We had to check the orders you gave us."

"And did she agree?"

"She did."

"What can you tell us about the changes happening to our world now that you have returned?" Divine asked.

"First and foremost, parents of mutants will have their latent X gene activated. Second, Firehair now contains an energy that can boost a Psionics' powers to new levels."

"It's called the Sage force, and a psionic will be able to tap into it, but there is a risk of them burning out their powers for the permanent increase."

Finally, Gaia spoke up, "Emotions will now give one power. There is will, the power to overcome. Fear, the power to overcome fear, compassion, the ability to understand another, hope," she looked around the room, "the power to always believe in something better, rage, the power to control and weaponize one's anger, and avarice the power to harness one's greed."

Nam locked eyes with Gaia, "What are the powers of these emotions?"

"Besides the ability to manipulate the emotion they're connected to, the rest will have to be discovered."

"How could we tap into these new forces?" Nadira asked.

Firehair stepped forward, "Meditation would be the best bet, but I would suggest having medical staff nearby in case something goes wrong."

"What do you get out of this?" Callisto asked from her spot at the table, her gaze focused on Harry, "What do you want now that you've returned?"

Harry shrugged, "I want nothing. The Council seems to have everything under control, and as long as internal fighting doesn't start, I won't get involved."

"So, you're just going to leave?" Jani asked.

Harry took a moment to appreciate Jani's changes before answering, taking in her pale skin and the purple tribal tattoos that now decorated her body, "No, we will act as guardians over the new mutant islands."

"Specifically," he gestured to Firehair, "Firehair will watch over and guide the new prehistoric island full of early mutants, while the cosmic mother will help the inhabitants of her world. An island that is made up of people from a dystopian future."

"While they are getting their people in order, I will meet with Max Eisenhardt and Charles Xavier to get their help in calming the mutants that have suddenly emerged."

"Do you believe you can get Magneto to work with you or Charles, for that matter, since our ideologies differ?"

"I have a plan to get Magneto to work with me, but Xavier will be an issue. Hopefully, if I can get Eisenhardt on my side, he can help me convince Charles."

"In the meantime, if you wouldn't mind, contact Norman Newman, the gnome, and ask him to use his powers to hide the three new continents from Earth technology."

XX –

Morgan Le Fay stood in the bowels of Trask Industries, her hands folded regally behind her 6'2" frame. Her Emerald eyes burned with power as she stared at two of her three compatriots.

Neither Lesla-Lar nor Kru El had changed in the last year besides that Lesla-Lar now cradled a child in her arms.

Kru El stood to his full 5'11"; unfortunately, he was still shorter than Morgan. He grimaced and looked up into her green eyes with his pale blue, "Why have you called us here, Morgan?"

Morgan looked to the side, staring at nothing, "The world has changed; it's now three sizes bigger than before, and new forces have appeared."

Kru El narrowed his eyes, "How did this happen?"

"I don't know."

"What kind of forces are we dealing with?"

"I don't know."

"Then why tell us if you don't have any information," Kru El snarled, "useless," he turned away.

Green energy danced between Morgan's pale fingers.

Oh, how she would love to show this man his place, but unfortunately, she needed him for a little longer.

"Are we in any danger?" Lesla-Lar asked, her gaze locked on her child.

Morgan stared at the blonde Kryptonian, fighting not to smile.

A mother's love and concern for her child.

She could work with that.
