A Fresh Start

*Goku's POV*

Goku and the group that followed him to The Tournament of Power arrive back on Earth. The group has just come from a monumental win, not only did they all prove they were the strongest universe, but they also were able to save every universe all in one. The celebration was big for our group. Almost everyone who knew that the tournament had happened came. Bulma had hosted the party on her ship and had so much food ready that it could feed a city full of Saiyans. The party was going wonderfully and Goku was chatting with his friends about what happened.

Goku: "Man im so pumped! That was the best workout i've had in a long time!"

Killin: "Goku, buddy. You're the only one that could possibly see that whole event as a workout."

Piccolo: "Well Goku, now that you know you are the strongest not only in our universe but in every universe, what do you think is next for you?"

Goku: with his rubbing his chin "Well... I did technically win... buuuut I did struggle a good bit against Jiren. I bet Jiren will train extra hard for our rematch and i'd hate to disappoint!"

Gohan: "Wait dad so after all of this... you want to train more!?"

Goku: "Uh huh!" Goku nods in excited approval

Gohan: "Well dad, you know how much I love how much you train and i'll always support you... but don't you think you should spend time with Mom?"

Goku: Goku looks up in thought "Well im sure Chi Chi wouldn't mind me training just a bit more"

Piccolo and Gohan look at each-other in worry. Goku has been a great dad, a great friend, and a great fighter. One of the things he has the hardest thing for Goku to be good at was a husband to Chi Chi. It's not that Goku doesn't care, but he loves to train and Chi Chi has settled down, Goku just hasn't found a place in his life to meet her in that regard.

Gohan: "Well dad im sure she won't mind either but at least spend some time with her before you even ask."

Goku: "Oh? Well i don't see why not. Im sure Chi Chi would love to have me around the house, she's always yelling at me about that, haha" Goku chuckles nervously whilst scratching his head. "Well i should probably go find her so i can ask! See you guys later!" Goku goes off while waving bye to them.

Gohan, Piccolo, and Krillin: "He's in trouble"

Goku is looking around watching his friends have fun, 17 playing with 18's kid. Videl trying to get Pan to try new food, Beerus fighting with Buu for the pudding table with Whis and Mr. Satan laughing in the back. Then Goku finally see's Chi Chi with Bulma and Vegeta. Goku jogs over to them to join the conversation.

Goku: "Chi Chi! There you are!"

Goku see's Chi Chi talking to Bulma with Bulma in tears. Goku looks in confusion while Vegeta walking up to intercept him.

Vegeta: "I wouldn't walk over there right now Kakarot. I don't think this is a conversation you want to have here, i'd suggest walking away."

Goku: "What are you going on about Vegeta? Chi Chi is right there. W-what.. Whats wrong with Bulma?"

Vegeta: "Kakarot, its what Chi Chi is saying is whats wrong with her, like i said back away."

Goku: "What are you going on about? Shouldn't i be there if something is wrong with Chi Chi?"

Vegeta: "Listen, i was told by Bulma to keep you away right now, as much as i'd love to do anything else. Im inclined to listen to her right now. Bulma thinks she can talk your woman out of whatever she is going on about so STAY HERE!"

Goku: "Come on Vegeta.. im sure i can help in some way"

Vegeta looks down in disappointment and looks into Goku's eyes with determination. His swift change in emotions catch Goku off guard. Within seconds Vegeta powers up to Super Saiyan and stands in-front of Goku.

Vegeta: "Kakarot you are not getting past me, you are to stay here, even if i have to keep you here."

This surprises Goku but Goku matches Vegeta in power with a swift power up to Super Saiyan. After a brief stare-down between the two Saiyans a hand grabs Vegeta's arm. Vegeta looks down and see's its Bulma. He powers down and Bulma whispers in his ear. 'What in the world is going on here!?' Goku thinks to himself as he see's Vegeta's face go from a stern look straight to sheer shock. Vegeta looks over to Goku and back to Bulma and he just simply nods and starts walking over to Goku until he walks to off to his left while not looking him in the eye.

Vegeta: "I..." The silence cuts through Goku like a knife "I-im sorry... Goku.."

Goku's eyes widen is confusion which powers down Goku quickly. 'Wait... Goku? He's never called me by my Earth name???' He eyes Vegeta until he walks away from them until he lifts up into the air and flies off. He watches Vegeta until he disappears into the distance and looks back to see Bulma infront of him with tears rolling down her cheeks. Goku starts to get worried while Bulma silently sobs. 'I've never seen Bulma like this, what in the world happened???' Bulma looks up at Goku and immediately just gives him a hug. She looks back up to him from the hug and starts to try to speak.

Bulma: "Goku.. I-I..."

Goku: "Bulma you're really starting to worry me, is Chi Chi okay??"

Bulma: "Right now.. its not Chi Chi im worried about right now."

Goku: "Bulma talk to me. Whats going on?"

Bulma stays silent for a while with Goku looking at her and back to Chi Chi over and over, this feeling he is getting from this stronger than any being he has ever faced. Bulma takes a deep breath in and looks Goku in the eyes.

Bulma: "Goku... Chi Chi... she wants to.. she wants to leave.."

Goku: "Leave? Why? This party is amazing. Is she too tired?"

Bulma: with tears streaming down her face at this point "Oh Goku, still as Naive like when we met when we were kids... no Goku.. she is leaving you. She's done, she doesn't want to be with you anymore."

Goku: His eyes widen "Wait.. what? Why would she want to leave me, what did i do? Did i say something wrong before i left?"

Bulma: "Oh Goku.. i think you should talk to her when she is ready. I had Tien, Chiaotzu, and Trunks take her and Goten home right now so she can think, this isn't the time or place for that kind of conversation, im sure you'd love to have privacy for that. I recommend staying here for tonight so she can think and hopefully change her mind, please Goku, just stay here for your sake.."

Goku just looks at Bulma im disbelief for a few moments and just looks down in defeat and nods. Bulma hugs Goku once more and the two stand there for a long while as the party continues, with no one else knowing that this monumental moment had just taken place. The ship stays lively and full of happiness as if the world hadn't crumbled down to nothingness.

*Caulifla's POV*

The U6 Trio of Saiyan's end back up on their home planet Sadala. Caulifla is relaxing in a small house they had set up to train at before the big tournament. The group had spent most of their time eating and regaling about the events they all just witnessed, they all just had their world turned upside down. Eventually the night rolls around and they all notice that time had gotten past them.

Cabba: "Goodness, I guess we got carried away with the chit-chat huh? Hahaha"

Kale: "Oh.. Yeah, we should head on come Caulifla!"

Caulifla: "Aw man, time sucks, I wish we could continue this whole thing was fun, and my blood is pumping! Everyone there was amazing and I really wanna fight them again!"

Cabba: "them? You mean that Universe 7 Saiyan?"

Caulifla: Her face gets bright red whilst her eyes blink wildly "Huh!? WHY WOULD YOU SAY STUFF LIKE THAT CABBA! NO!! I MEANT EVERYONE!!"

Cabba: "Okay okay!" "suuure you did" with that last bit he mutters under his breath

Caulifla: "WHAT'D YA SAY!?!?" With her fist in the air

Cabba: "NOTHING NOTHING I SWEAR!" He says while flinching

Caulifla: "Thats what i thought!" She says with a blush popping over her face

Cabba: "Well i guess i'll be heading off, i'll see you guys tomorrow! Try not to be up to late!"

Caulifla and Kale: "Bye Cabba"

Time goes on as Caulifla is boasting to Kale as she just quietly listens to her Sister. The night starts coming down hard on them, as much fun as going back on the events on the tournament was, the legendary feeling of TIRED hit the two Saiyans hard. They both started setting up their quaint beds as they were going to call it for the night when Kale looks up at her Sister.

Kale: "S-so Caulifla.."

Caulifla: "Hmm? Oh whats up Kale?"

Kale: while twiddling her thumbs asks, "S-so that other Saiyan.. that Cabba was talking about.."

Caulifla: "Yeah? What about him?"

Kale looks down for a good minute and puts the middle of her index finger to her lips as she thinks for a good minute and then looks up at Caulifla who is in turn giving her a curious look.

Kale: "S-so that Saiyan.. Goku.. i saw you staring at him during the tournament.. after we got eliminated."

Caulifla: she gets flustered "Well yeah, I was. He was one of the last people left, he fought well and I thought he did well."

Kale: "mmm.. you know that not what I meant Cauli.."

Caulifla looks down. 'Man i can't look at her right now I don't know why im getting so nervous.. its not like im doing anything wrong! I just thought he was interesting.'

Kale: "I've only seen you make that face once before.. and that was with some guy you met and you thought he was strong.. after you found out he wasn't your face changed towards him."

Caulifla: "What are you trying to say! Its not like you like him or anything! Its nothing like that... he was just interesting. He fought with so much power. He fought with so much heart. He also battled like a true Saiyan!"

Caulifla says that last line while standing up with her fist to her chest. After some silence goes by Caulifla looks down at Kale and just see's her hugging her pillow with it covering her mouth with her eyes wide open. Caulifla keeps the pose for a few seconds before lowering herself back down to her bed slowly in embarrassment. She proceeds to grab her pillow and hold it the same way as Kale did and she turns away from Kale while her face starts to burn a bright red.'Well that was embarrassing, i have no clue what got into me. Im acting strange, its not like i want to see him just so i can, i want to become strong. I want to surpass my limits and nothing else... right..?'

*Goku's POV*

After the party the sun rose over the horizon and casted god-beam's over the ship with the new beautiful morning. We find Goku sitting on the tip of the front of the ship.. alone. He looks up at the sun as it crests over the waters edge. 'Huh.. i guess its morning now.. i should probably thank Bulma for the party and head home.' Goku had sat outside where his was through-out the night and all the way into the morning. No sleep. No meditation. Just sitting, and thinking. Everyone that had joined the night before had already left and went home besides Bulma. Bulma had stayed up as long as she could with him before passing out on a sun chair near him on the deck. Goku had walked over to Bulma and softly shook her shoulder. Bulma jolts awake to Goku's actions.

Bulma: "NO PUT ME DOWN YOU DAMN BIRD!" She frantically looks around before setting you sights on Goku who has a soft smile on his face and relaxing "oh Goku.. you scared me." She thinks for a moment and then pops up in a split second "Wait! Are you leaving now!? Are you sure you don't want me to come with you? I can give you moral support!" She also mutters silently "it seems thats all im good for now but eh."

Goku: "I think i'll be okay Bulma, you should relax. I can handle this."

Bulma:"Goku are you sure?? This is really serious.."

Goku:"I'll be okay Bulma, its not the first fight we've had" he says with a soft smile and rest his hand over her shoulder.

Bulma:"oh Goku.." she embraces Goku and buries her head in his chest "If it means anything Goku im here if you need me. You'll always be that strange kid I came across who tossed my car"

Goku: he looks down at her "If I remember correctly you shot me then." Goku says with a chuckle

Bulma: Bulma giggles "Yes, but every since then you've been my closest friend, and the best one any girl could ask for. So if anything im more than happy to help."

Goku squeezes her softly after what she had said. And pulls away from her while giving her that good o'l Goku smile.

Goku:"I know Bulma. Thank you."

Goku then turns and jumps up to take off and fly towards his home. Bulma watches him until he slowly leaves her sight. She puts her hands over her heart. 'Good luck Goku.' Goku takes his time with the flight. He is wrestling with his mind on what will happen when he walks through that door. 'Will she yell? Is she going to forgive me?' Is there anything to forgive? What did i even do?' Goku spends most of his flight just battling with those thoughts until he touches down in-front of his home. He stares at it intensely not knowing what will happen next. Until eventually he walks through that door. When he walks in he see's Chi Chi sitting on a chair in the living room and she looks up at him and slowly stands up.

Goku:"H-hey Chi Chi, w-where's Goten?"

Chi Chi: "He's with Gohan right now."

Goku:"Oh.. thats good, he sure does love his Broth.."

Chi Chi: she quickly cuts him off "I need to speak with you Goku. No side tangents, no leaving to train, no nothing right now. Just... you and... me.."

Goku: "uhh.. okay Chi Chi" he takes a seat in a chair near by "what's going on?"

Chi Chi: She looks down for a moment before looking him in his eyes whilst hers are starting to mist up "Goku.. Honey.. I-im... leaving.. im leaving you.."

Goku looks at her with eyes wide open. He just sits there as Chi Chi slowly goes from misty eyes to a soft sob. His eyes slowly start to follow her lead with tears starting to slowly form from the edges of his eyes.

Goku:"I... I... but... Chi Chi.."

Hey y'all!! Yes i know i ended this Chapter on a little cliffhanger on what will happen next im soooorrryy but i just love a good tug on a story i felt this would be appropriate for the situation

Thank you to everyone who has read so far! You guys have really pushed this drive to do more of this im definitely going to do a-lot more of this so I thank you all for giving me this drive!

Next Chapter will come out next Wednesday cuz i do have work and adult things to do, sadly.. but anyway i digress. I hope you guys enjoy this chapter as much as i enjoyed making it!!!
