Authors Note: I write in little scenes. As you noticed. Some will be longer than others, while some shorter. It's a new style I'm trying out.
Also, I'm trying to mix older Severus's personality with younger Severus. So a mixture between a socially awkward child and a closed off adult.
And if you didn't know, Alice Fleecher is the younger version of Alice Longbottom. I know many people assume she was a Gryffindor but for the story I made her a Hufflepuff. I also just made up her maiden name since it was never mentioned.

Relationships between Severus and Remus won't come until way later. Because Severus is still 30 mentally. And I find it odd he'd try to get in a relationship with a twelve year old boy.
"I'm Fabian, and this is my brother Gideon Prewett. It seems you'll be our roommate!" Fabian introduced, motioning towards his brother.
Severus scowled, instantly noticing the red hair and thin-like structures. He'd almost mistaken them for the Weasley twins.
Prewett, though, sounded familar. And if he was correct, they were related to Molly Prewett. Or, better know as Weasley. To think fate would place him with relatives of that over-populated family.
"Severus Snape." He said eventually.
"Sev!" Gideon perks up.
"Severus. Not whatever you just uttered." Severus scowled.
"Feisty one we got ourselves huh, Fabian?" Gideon chuckled.
Severus sighed. Already feeling his headache return. Perhaps he really was in hell.
Severus groaned into his pillow as Fabian shook him awake. Gideon laughed from somewhere in the room, yapping about way too early in the morning.
"Severus time to get up! You already slept through breakfast, and also-" Fabian pauses, grabbing Severus's blanket and pulling it up and off of him.
Severus shivered, sneering up at Fabian with tired eyes. "There's a girl down there, Alice she called herself. Was looking for you." The taller twin finished.
Gideon walked forward, and Severus turned his head to stare at the other twin. Who threw something at the edge of his bed.
"She told us to give you this bag. Said you'd be matching. Whatever that means. Girls, am I right?" Gideon chuckled, nudging his brother.
Severus groaned and sat up in his bed, blinking away the sleepiness that clogged his vision. Before looking down towards the crumbled bag beneath his feet.
"Whatever." Severus mumbled, throwing his legs over the edge of the bed. His bare feet hitting the cold ground as he stood.
Fabian and Gideon migrated back to their own beds eventually, chatting amongst themselves as they readied for the day. Something Severus needed to do as well, seeing as he slept through breakfast.
With a flick of his wrist, his sleep clothes morphed into his robes. His eye twitched as he stared at the bold yellow tie. Still unable to wrap his head around the fact he was now a Hufflepuff.
"-Whoa!"
Severus paused, tilting his head back to look at the twins. Whose mouths were wide open, eyes staring at him with a mixture of fascination and curiosity.
"What?" He grumbled.
"How'd you do that? Without a wand to?" Gideon exclaimed, pointing to him.
Severus took a moment to process their words. Before realization hits him. 'Bloody hell, we haven't learned that spell yet.' He thought to himself, a tad panicked.
Composing himself, Severus wracks his brain for a plausible lie.
"My mother... comes from a pureblooded family." Severus begins, gritting his teeth together.
"The Princes. She taught me a few early spells, just to be ahead slightly during my time here at Hogwarts." He finishes. Fingers drumming against his side nervously.
"Oh.." Fabian trailed off, before breaking out into a grin.
"Wonderful! You'll have to teach us. Imagine how easy getting up would be then?" Gideon laughed. Which eased Severus's nerves just slightly.
'I'm not thirty anymore. I shouldn't know the spells I know... I'll have to be more careful.' Severus scowled to himself, shaking his head at his own negligence.
"I suppose." He answered them.
"Severus!" Alice yelled, waving her hand at him as he stepped out the common room and into the hallway.
"Alice." He greeted quietly.
"I have Potions first, with Professor Slughorn. And you?" She asked, leaning towards Severus as they begin walking.
Severus hummed, nodding his head. "Likewise."
Alice grins, before delving into endless chatter. Despite her lack luster appearance, Severus noticed, she seemed to be in high spirits. 'Were all Hufflepuff's early risers?' Severus dreaded the thought.
