Well it looks like I may actually be able to get to the end of ME1 after all, but in any case I hope your enjoying this and all but yeah, any-case pre-amble over lets get this show on the road.

TNS Arahadajo. Command Deck.

Location: System 8472 (Refuge)

"Exiting Relay now Sir." Horsts Navigator would say as the Old Admiral would nod his head before turning to his comms officer before saying.

"Good, Ensign Matthew's I want a status report on my fleet, make sure there all still alive." Horst would say as the Ensign would nod his head before typing in several commands into his console before saying.

"Sir, all ships reporting in, the Captain of the Normandy wishes to speak to you, sir." Horst would nod before saying.

"Well then open a channel to Captain Shepard, Ensign, we don't have all day." The Ensign would nod before inputting in several new commands into his console opening up a hole-graphical display that would soon display Captain Shepard.

"Ah, Captain, I assume you have a general idea on what the plan is?" Horst would ask as Shepard would respond saying.

"Yes sir, you'll keep the Geth distracted while we make a beeline towards Ilos and catch up with Saren." Horst would grin slightly before saying.

"Good, now as you know we will have our hands full with the Geth so we won't be able to really help you out once you get planet side but another complication has just came up." Shepard would raise one of her eyebrows before saying.

"And what's that?" Shepard would ask as Horst would reply saying.

"Well to put it simply commander there aren't exactly a lot of safe landing spots on the planet for your MAKO's, in laymen's Terms you'll probably only be able to take one MAKO with you, and even then your going to need a exceptionally skilled pilot to get you to near the site where Saren is going." Shepard would nod her head slightly before replying saying.

"Don't worry about it sir, Joker's one of the most skilled pilots within the Terran Fleet, you just worry about keeping the Geth Distracted." Horst would nod slightly saying.

"I know, good luck Captain, you'll surely need it..." Horst would end but before Shepard could reply one of Horsts comm officers would shout out.

"Sir, Enemy ships appeared on sensor suits, closing into engage us Sir, be In range of Rail guns and long range weapon systems in approximately 250 seconds!" Horst would nod in confirmation before saying.

"Alright Shepard you know the drill, we'll keep them busy fighting us while you and your squad gets on that planet and put a bullet up Saren's scaly ass." Shepard would nod her head in agreement before closing closing the comms link to Horsts ship leaving the Admiral to command his fleet in Battle against the Geth.

Normandy. Deck Two.

Location: Pilots Cockpit, System 8472 (Refuge)

"Damn Horst was not lying about the drop being tight." Shepard would hear Joker say out loud to Navigator Pressly as said Navigator would reply saying.

"Joker, I don't think trying to drop that close to where Saren is a good idea, we should try dropping further away around here, be a hell of a lot safe." Pressly would say as Joker would reply saying.

"Yeah sure but it'll take too long to get to wherever Saren is going and you can bet that the Turian is going to do everything in his power to delay the commander and her squad for as long as possible." Pressly would shake his head lightly before turning to face Shepard before saying.

"Commander, its your call, we go in fast and loud or take the safe route." Pressly would say as Shepard would examine the map on a large screen located on the side of the wall before determining that there wasn't an option 3 before saying.

"Jokers right, we don't have time to waste, if Saren finds the conduit first then the entire galaxy is doomed, we can't afford to wait around." Shepard would say as Joker would nod before saying.

"Can't put it in any better way Commander, will be in drop range in 12 minutes so you may want to gear up or something." Shepard would nod her head in agreement before she would make her way out of the Pilots Cockpit and would begin the process of making her way down towards the Hanger bay to meet up with the members of the ground team which had already assembled down there.

Ilos. Ruined City.

Location: Bunker Entrance.

Saren would watch as the massive blast doors to the Bunker would open slowly, excruciatingly slowly for that matter.

Saren would let out an annoyed growl as he heard one of his Geth say in there binaric language.

"Servant Saren, the Terran Fleet has inflicted heavy damage upon our fleet, many ships are requesting to withdraw before the chance to retreat is cut off." Saren would growl a little bit more at the Geth's statement before saying.

"Denied, we need more time to find and activate the conduit, we can't afford any distractions from our task." The Geth would silently nod before moving away.

Soon afterwards the doors to the bunker would open fully with a large thud allowing for the Geth to start to enter the massive bunker.

Saren however was looking towards the sky, he wasn't sure why but he was sure that something was approaching them, said suspicions grew as the sound grew louder and louder as the object approached rapidly.

Saren would look dumbfounded as the distinctive and sleak hull of the Normandy would emerge from out of the clouds with a thunderous roar.

"Get inside, now!" Saren would order as the doors to the Bunker would begin to slowly close, at the same time the Normandy's cargo bay doors would open as a MAKO would quickly emerge from the belly of the ship with said MAKO rapidly driving out of the cargo bay and making a fast descent towards the ground.

The MAKO would crash into the dirt of the earth beneath it, with the vehicles momentum carrying it forward towards the Bunkers entrance with several Geth being run over as the Human war machine continued on ever onwards, only being halted as the doors of the Bunker finally closed.

Saren would let out a sigh of relief, Shepard and her squad had arrived sooner than he had expected and she had been bolder than he thought.

Turning around Saren would face one of the Geth Troopers before saying.

"How many made it into the bunker?" Saren would ask as the Geth Trooper would respond saying.

"Approximately 35% of our force was able to enter the bunker before the doors were closed, likelihood of success in our task reduced from 90% to 75%." Saren would growl at the Geth's statement before responding.

"We will succeed, no matter what." Saren would say as he would gesture for the Geth to begin to walk further down the enormous tunnel they found themselves in.

Ilos. Ruined City.

Location: Bunker Entrance.

"Well guess we are retracing Saren's steps a bit ey." Havier would say as Shepard would reply saying.

"Not if I can help it, we should be able to blow the doors open with some Melta charges, I think." Shepard would say as Cyreen would shake her head before replying.

"Chances are that these doors where made to survive large scale orbital bombardment so it is unlikely that plasma based breaching charges would do a lot to them." Shepard would nod her head in agreement before turning to face Havier before saying.

"Well how do you think will be able to get the doors open then?" Shepard would ask as Havier would respond saying.

"Well Saren found a way to open them and by the looks of it most of his goons are still on the surface so if we where to follow the sound of gunfire we should be able to find out how they opened it." Shepard would stare at Havier quizikly as Tali would sigh to herself before saying.

"Basically the control room for the bunkers door should be nearby and as Havier said the Geth on the surface will likely be around it to defend it from well, us." Shepard would nod her head in understanding before saying.

"I understand, alright this is the plan, Me, Garrus, Havier, And Tali will go down to the control room and get the Bunker doors open while the rest you will stay here and prevent Saren from getting any more party favours down to his location." The Squad would nod in confirmation as Ashley would respond saying.

"Got it Ma'am and Shepard." Ashley would pause for a moment before saying "Give em hell." Ashley would say as Shepard would nod as they would prepare themselves for the long and exhaustive gunfight to the control room.

The Citadel, Presidium.

Location: Vezuvian Luxury Apartment Complex, Apartment 34.

Tevos watched her Vid-screen that currently showed live video footage of the enormous Military Parade that the Terran Union had organized down the vaunted and, by human terms, ancient red square of the greater Moscow Urban Area.

Of course it didn't exactly take a genius to figure out the reason for why the Union had organized such a massive military parade, that reason mostly being as a show of strength, not only to give their enemies second thoughts about attacking them but for also another reason.

However before Tevos could continue down her train of thought the buzzing of her apartment door's electronic bell would alert her to the person that she had hoped she could talk to for years had arrived.

Quickly moving towards the door Tevos would tap on the green hologram located within the Center of the structure allowing for it to open.

"Mother!" Alyinna would scream out joyfully as she would embrace her mother in a heart-felt hug.

"Daughter, oh how long it has been since I have last seen you." Tevos would say reciprocating her daughters hug before slowly untangling herself from her daughters embrace before saying.

"Please come in, sit, we have a lot to talk about." Alyinna would nod her head in agreement before walking inside of Tevos apartment and making her way down to the sofa that Tevos had seated herself at before.

Looking up at the Vid-screen on a nearby wall Alyinna would shake her head slightly before saying.

"I didn't know that my mother had a liking to such displays of martial chest thumping?" Alyinna would say Tevos would scoff slightly before saying.

"No I just think that it is better to understand the mind of a Varren than fight it with ignorance." Alyinna would shake her head slightly at Tevos statement before responding.

"Mother..." Alyinna would say as Tevos would chuckle slightly before responding.

"Relax I'm not going to fill your eardrums with political drivel but in all seriousness how was your time out there?" Tevos would ask as she brought over two cups and a pot of Thessian tea before pouring some of the contents into the two cups as Alyinna would reply saying.

"Well to put it bluntly it was what you would expect trying to re-enter League space as a Council citizen, questions, even more questions, waiting around as the tried to figure out if you were lying or not, and of course waiting around until a state assigned "Protector" was found to "Ensure your safety" while within League space." Tevos would laugh slightly at Alyinna's words before responding.

"Yes but I was more so asking how your time was while you were there." Alyinna would nod before responding saying.

"Well at first it was the usual site seeing and trying out the local cuisine." Alyinna would say before pausing for a moment and saying "But then well Eden Prime happened and well, its hard to describe the feeling I felt that day, and well its hard to describe it exactly but I think I felt sorrow and, something more." Tevos would nod her head in understanding, while she didn't exactly have that high of an opinion of the Terrans, what the Geth did to the colonists of Eden Prime was monstrous in the extreme, no species should be turned into whatever the Geth turned those colonists into.

"I understand, I mean I was horrified when the Vids of what happened there made it back to my front desk, and I know you are quite fond of the Terrans so it must have been doubly horrifying for you as well?" Tevos would ask as Alyinna would reply saying.

"Yeah, it was hard, like I'm not Terran but still I have lived with these people for decades and know that there no different than us in many ways but I'm more so fearful than angry or horrified." Tevos would nod slightly before responding.

"Of the Geth?" Tevos would ask as Alyinna would reply saying.

"No, of what is coming" 'Does she seriously believe them now?' Tevos would ask herself before responding.

"What do you mean my daughter?" Tevos would ask as Alyinna would reply saying.

"I don't know but something's got the Terrans spooked and I don't think its the Geth." Tevos would nod before thinking through her next words, should she tell her daughter about the Reapers, maybe but then what if the Terrans have turned her daughter into a sleeper agent and she kills her, but still why would she do that and how would she she's not armed.

Breathing in a steady stream of air Tevos would exhale said air before saying.

"They are scared of the Reapers." Alyinna would look at Tevos perplexed before saying.

"The what?" Alyinna would ask as Tevos would respond saying.

"The Reapers, we aren't entirely sure on what they are but the Terrans believe them to be the entities that wiped out the Protheans 50 thousand years ago and that they are returning." Alyinna would stand silent at Tevos statement before responding.

"If that's the case then why isn't the Council preparing?" Alyinna would ask as Tevos would reply saying.

"My colleagues won't act without substantial and damning proof of the Reapers existence and their continual survival to this day and age, and since the Terran government is the entity with said supposed truth it is official council policy to state that the Reapers are most likely either a justification to prepare for all out war with the Council or Terran Paranoia run rampant." Alyinna would nod slightly in understanding before replying.

"And what do you believe?" Alyinna would ask as Tevos would sigh slightly before saying.

"I believe that the Terran Government does believe in the existence of these so called Reapers if that is what you are asking." Tevos would say as Alyinna would reply saying.

"But still the Terrans don't exactly get freaked out over nothing mother, I think that you should still send people to investigate these rumours." Alyinna would say as Tevos would nod her head before saying.

"I know and we have its just that the information regarding this topic is well, rather sensitive to say the very least." Alyinna would nod her head, understanding that It was probably best to play it safe even if Tevos apartment was swept regularly for listening devices and the like.

"So I take it you just wanted to ask me questions on what the hell is happening beyond the Iron curtain mother?" Alyinna would ask incredulously as Tevos would laugh before replying.

"No of course not, I think we should go to the Silversun strip and see if we can't get any new clothes, call it a girls night out if you will." Tevos would say as Alyinna would laugh slightly before saying

"Well I can agree to that mother." Alyinna would say as the two of them would silently make there way out of the Apartment and down towards the transit station with there intended destination already in the back of there minds.

Ilos. Ruined City.

Location: Bunker Control Station, Underground Section.

"Havier, for the love of god deal with that Destroyer!" Shepard would shout out over the screeching volley of gunfire as Havier would respond saying.

"On it Boss." Havier would say before throwing a Plasma grenade in the General direction of the Geth Destroyer hoping that it would hit the thing.

Thankfully, Havier's aim was not off and the grenade landed perfectly on the Geth Destroyer instantly incinerating it and a few other Geth surrounding it.

"Nice shot." Garrus would say before pulling the Trigger on his heavily modified sniper rifle, instantly hitting a Geth Trooper that had been hiding behind cover destroying it instantly.

"Judging by the schematics for the building we should be nearing the control room soon we just have to get passed the remaining Geth forces and then take the elevator located behind the control room back up to the surface." Tali would say as Shepard would nod before saying.

"Well that's good to know but first will focus on clearing up any Geth still in the room." Shepard would say as she would fire her rifle at a Geth hopper that was about to jump to another wall just barely clipping the Geth construct with several stray plasma rounds from her rifle.

These rounds however where more than enough to destroy the fragile Geth constructs with the Hopper dropping harmlessly to the floor.

Shepard's squad would quickly scan the rest of the room expecting to see a remaining Geth construct hiding in one of the corners of the room only to see nothing.

"Tali, are our combat scanners still being jammed?" Shepard would ask knowing that the greatest way to know if there where any remaining Geth troops within the building would be if the Geth where actively Jamming there Combat Vi's scanners.

"By the looks of it no but we should still be careful." Shepard would nod her head in agreement before saying.

"Agreed, everyone keep your head on a swivel." Havier, Garrus and Tali would nod there head in confirmation as the squad would rapidly though carefully make there way towards the control room.

Entering through the ruined doorway Havier would see several decrepit looking consoles glowing in the same eaairy green light as all the others that they had seen in this place.

"Tali, see if you can't get this console to work." Shepard would order out as Tali would silently reply by nodding her before making her way towards the large and old looking console at the centre of the room.

"Come on Bosh'tet, yes I've got it working just give a moment an..." Before Tali could continue a heavily distorted Hologram would appear out of a nearby projector.

"Damn didn't think that thing would have any juice left after all this time" Shepard would hear Havier say but before anyone could reply to said comment the Hologram would say out.

"...Too Late... Unable To... Invading Fleets... No Escape." Shepard would hear the hologram say as Havier would say.

"I think this is supposed to be some message of some kind, strange, I thought I've heard every language in the galaxy in my time, but this is old, and strange." Garrus would nod his head in agreement before saying.

"If I were to guess this was probably the language the Protheans spoke but yeah I do have to agree it does sounds, strange." Shepard would reply saying.

"Its broken up but I think I was able to understand some of the words, from what I can tell its a warning about the Reaper invasion." Before Havier could interject a Joke or a comment at Shepard's expense Tali would butt in saying.

"That's amazing you must be able to understand the Prothean language because of the cipher you received on Feros." as Tali would finish the Broken up Hologram would speak again saying.

"...Not Safe... Seek Refuge... Inside the Archives..."

"Any idea on what's it saying commander?" Garrus would ask as Shepard would respond saying.

"From the sound of it they sought refuge inside the archives when the Reapers arrived." Garrus would nod but before anyone could respond the Hologram would speak up again saying.

"...Called Reapers... The Citadel... Overwhelmed... Only Hope..." The Hologram would stop for a moment before another voice, most likely that of a separate Prothean judging by the voice's tone would speak up through the hologram saying.

"...Act of Desperation... The Conduit... All is lost..." The hologram would finish up before finally shutting down.

"Understood any of that commander?" Garrus would ask as Shepard would respond saying.

"Yes from what I understand the Reapers overwhelmed the Citadel, most likely at the beginning of the war, then at some point the Protheans tried to use the Conduit for something but..." Shepard would pause as Garrus would respond saying.

"It didn't work?" Garrus would ask as Shepard would shrug before saying.

"I don't know the message was too broken up for me to be certain but from the sound of it didn't work." Havier would raise an eyebrow slightly before saying.

"If it doesn't work then why is Saren after it?" Havier would ask as Shepard would shrug her shoulders before saying.

"I don't know but I don't really want to find out, Tali have you been able to lift the lockdown?" Shepard would ask as Tali would nod her head before saying.

"Yes it should be disabled now and I've been able to unlock an elevator down the corridor which should take us back up to the surface and not to far away from where we left the rest of the group and the MAKO." Shepard would grin slightly before nodding and saying.

"Good, hopefully we should be able to catch up with Saren before he finds whatever the hell he is looking for, but we need to hurry, so everyone double time it now." Shepard would bark out as her and her squad began a mad dash towards the elevator hoping that they where not too late to stop Saren's plan.

Ilos. Ruined City.

Location: Bunker Entrance.

"By the Divines I wish they hurried up." Eorveth would say as he aimed and fired his Shroud Rifle at an oncoming Geth Trooper instantly disintegrating the Machine as Kurtz would laugh slightly before saying.

"And I thought you where support to be the best of the best Eorveth, and yet you can't even keep up with an old man" Kurtz would say before ramming his sword into the body of a Geth hopper that had gotten to close to the Witch Hunter instantly killing the machine.

"Eorveth is utilizing 38.28% of his stamina and strength reserves at time of observation." Cyreen would respond as she aimed her strange and really unsafe pistol at an oncoming Geth trooper before pulling the trigger back and releasing a green wave of contested radiation and superheated plasma quite literally frying the circuitry of the Geth trooper.

Kurtz would let out a slight growl as he would reply saying half-heartedly. "One Day your going to regret not giving your all knife ear." Eorveth would laugh slightly at Kurtz statement before replying.

"Ha your funny you know that, if you had pointier ears and sharper features I would make you my cup bearer, but since you don't ill just have to content myself with saving you from when we fight the real enemy and not his minions." Eorveth would say jokingly but before Kurtz and Eorveth could continue to engage in there banter Cyreen would hear the Elevator door to her left creek open.

Quickly Turning around and expecting to see several Geth troopers storm out the elevator Cyreen would level her gun towards the door, however she would let out a silent sigh of relief as she would lower her gun to the floor seeing Tali, Havier, Garrus and of course Shepard emerge out of the Elevator.

"Commander." Cyreen would say as Shepard would silently nod to the Ad-mech tech-priest before shouting out at the top of her lungs.

"Alright everyone we've got the blast doors unlocked so get in the MAKO and get ready to go now!" Shepard would bark out as everyone would perform there duties with prenticed efficiency with Havier and Garrus providing covering fire for the rest of the squad allowing them to enter the MAKO unharmed.

"Keelah, blast doors should be opening now..." Tali would say as she would enter the MAKO, and to her's and everyone's delight said blast doors would begin to slowly creek open, the rusted servos of the old door slowly opening a bit faster than before.

"Alright, Tali make sure you only open the doors as high as they have to be, will need to close them again once we get through as I don't want to be pinned between the Geth down inside the archives and the Geth outside." Shepard would say as Tali would nod her pressing several keys on her omnitool stopping the blast doors from raising even higher.

After seeing that Tali had completed her task successfully Shepard would nod to herself before shouting out of the still open MAKO door to Havier and Garrus.

"Alright Havier and Garrus get in the MAKO now for Christ sakes!" Shepard would bark out as Havier and Garrus would nod in affirmation before rapidly entering the MAKO with the MAKO's doors closing right behind them.

"Alright, Ashley get us the hell out of here!" Shepard would bark out as Ashley would respond saying.

"You've got it skipper." Ashley would say before putting the entirety of her foot down on the MAKO's accelerator sending the machine flying past the blast and rapidly into the bunker itself leaving the Geth on the surface stupefied as they watched the large blast doors slowly close in front of them.

Ilos. Ruined City.

Location: Bunker, Cryo-pod trench.

"Keelah, Shepard if the MAKO's auspects are correct those pods have corpses inside of them." Tali would say as Kurtz would respond curtly saying.

"Why would they spend so many resources on such a tomb complex especially in the middle of a war?" Kurtz would wonder to himself as Tali would shake her head before saying.

"No, I don't think the pods are coffins, more likely there Cryo-pods that ran out of power if I where to guess." Tali would say as Cyreen would nod her head in agreement before saying.

"Agreed, most likely this installation only had enough power production facilities and resources for 368 years of continuos power for all the pods, even less so considering that the Old Machines likely damaged much of the infrastructure for the facility rendering the amount of time down to 100 at most, what is strange is that the curators of this facility knew this and never attempt to unfreeze their staff to rebuild said infrastructure or adapt cybernetics into there bodies physiology in order to remove their need for organic based sustenance." Cyreen would say as Garrus would shake his head before saying.

"They may have not had the resources or time or want to do so." Garrus would state as Cyreen would sombrely nod before saying.

"Possibly." Cyreen would state bluntly but before the conversation could continue an enormous security barrier would manifest in front of the MAKO with the machine barely managing to stop itself from crashing into the barrier stopping just in front of it.

"Everyone guns up we have company." Havier would say before he opened up one of the gun ports on the side of the MAKO expecting to see a Geth trooper dropping down to the floor, only to see nothing.

"Hang on I don't think this is an ambush." Shepard would state as she looked around the area using her gun turret seeing nothing out of the usual.

"Well any idea on what it is then?" Havier would ask as Tali would respond saying.

"I'm not sure but I think its some form of security system within the base, we should be able to disable it from a nearby control room." Tali would say as Cyreen would nod her head in agreement before saying.

"Agreed, with me and Tali's assistance we should be more than easily able to disable it reletivly quickly." Cyreen would say as Shepard would nod her head in agreement before saying.

"Alright you two are coming with me as well as Havier for security reasons, Garrus will be in charge until we get back." Shepard would order out as Havier, Cyreen, and Tali would follow out behind her.

Exiting the MAKO Shepard and her squad would scan there eyes across the area looking for anything out of the ordinary.

"Shepard look, that drone doesn't exactly look like its Geth made." Havier would say holding up a very old looking security drone that.

"Keelah, that thing must have been a part of this bases security system and by the looks of it its very advanced compared to ours." Tali would say as she would eagerly kneel down besides Havier to examine the thing as Cyreen would approach beside her stating.

"Correct, the base must have thousands in operation judging by its size and general condition, but there is also the question..." Cyreen would state as Shepard would finish.

"Why haven't they been attacking us?" Cyreen would nod her head in agreement as she pointed towards a nearly fully destroyed Geth trooper that had most likely been attacked by the drone in front of them.

"Agreed it is strange, but if these drones are attacking Saren's forces it is likely that he will be significantly slowed down because of this." Cyreen would state as Shepard would nod her head in agreement before saying.

"True but we are still on a time-limit so everyone lets stop gawking at the drone and get a move on." Shepard would bark out as Tali and Havier would nod before slowly standing up and following Shepard and Cyreen towards the nearby elevator.

Ilos. Ruined City.

Location: Bunker. Sub-Level Control Room.

The Elevator doors would slowly open revealing a walkway and likewise to the rest of the facility, a enormous room dimly lit by the dimming light of pale-green Cryo pods and walkway lights.

Havier and Shepard would quickly scan the area for hostile utilizing there high powered red lights to quickly scan the room for any hostiles.

"Looks like there's nothing but dust and bones." Havier would say ominously to himself as Shepard would nod her head in agreement as the group would begin to walk there ways towards the console located at the center of the room.

Reaching the computer console Both Tali and Cyreen would pull out there Omni tool or omnitool equivalent in the case of Cyreen.

"Alright, the security barrier should be deactivated but..." Before Tali could continue a heavily broken up Hologram similar to that seen in the control station would appear before saying.

"You are not Prothean, but you are not machine either, this eventuality was one of many that was anticipated, this is why we sent our warnings through the beacons." The VI would say as Tali would reply saying.

"Keelah this must be some sort of Prothean VI Shepard, though it is very badly degraded." Tali would say as the VI would speak up again saying.

"I do not sense the taint upon any of you, unlike the other who passed recently, perhaps there is still hope." The VI would say as Havier would say.

"Yeah that's all good and all but is anyone wondering how it can speak Slavic?" Havier would ask as the VI would respond saying.

"I have been monitoring your communications since you arrived at this facility, I have translated my output into a format you will comprehend" The VI would say before continuing.

"My name is Vigil, you are safe here, for the moment, but that is likely to change, soon, nowhere will be safe." Vigil would say as Shepard would respond saying.

"Just a question but are you so kind of artificial intelligence program?" Shepard would ask as Vigil would respond saying.

"I am a advanced non-organic analysis system with personality imprints from Ksan Ishan, the overseer of the Ilos research facility." Shepard would nod her head in confirmation before replying.

"We don't exactly have a lot of time so can you get to the point?" Shepard would ask sternly as Vigil would reply saying."

"You must break a cycle has continued for millions of years, but to stop it, you must understand or you will make the same mistakes we did." Vigil would say before continuing.

"The Citadel is the heart of your civilization and seat of government, as it was with us and as it has been with every civilization that has came before us, but the station is a trap, it is actually an enormous mass relay that links to dark-space the empty void beyond the galactic horizon." Vigil would pause for a moment before continuing.

"When the Citadel relay is activated, the Reapers will pour through, and all you know will be destroyed." Vigil would say as Havier would respond saying.

"A bit on the dramatic side considering that there are other forms of FTL travel but it would be a devastating first strike and would basically cut the head of the Council and destroy a large portion of the Citadel Fleet, basically rendering the Council impotent for the first stages of the war." Havier would say as Vigil would respond confused saying.

"Your cycle has developed alternative FTL methods?" Vigil would ask as Tali would respond saying.

"Yes, the Human and Aeldari home systems had little to no Prothean ruins to develop there technologies from and where hence forced to develop there own means of Faster than Light travel." Tali would say as Vigil would respond saying.

"If what you say is true then all hope is not lost, the greatest strength the Reapers have is that they force every species and civilization of each and every cycle, to develop along their lines of choosing, allowing them to counter almost any technology or method of war developed by any and all civilizations, but if some of the civilizations of this cycle have developed outside of these boundaries, then there maybe some hope." Vigil would say as Havier would respond saying.

"Yes but I take it the Citadel is more than just a giant mass relay?" Havier would ask as Vigil would respond saying

"Yes, the Citadel is also the heart of the mass relay network, when the Reapers took control of the citadel and killed all our leaders they immediately turned off the mass relay network rendering the empire unable to form a co-ordinated resistance, over the next three hundred years the Reapers went from cluster to cluster, world to world, system to system, methodically scouring each world before moving onto the next." Vigil would say as Shepard would respond saying.

"Why didn't you try to surrender though, if you had they might of let you live?" Shepard would ask as Vigil would respond saying.

"No offer of surrender was given, our enemy had a single goal, the extinction of all advanced organic life, through the Citadel the Reapers had access to all our records, maps, census data, information is power, and they knew everything about us." Vigil would say before continuing.

"There fleets advanced across every settled region of the galaxy, some worlds where utterly destroyed, others where conquered, there populations enslaved, these indoctrinated agents became sleeper agents under Reaper control, Taken in as refugees by other Protheans they betrayed them to the machines." Vigil would say before continuing.

"Within a few centuries the Reapers had killed or enslaved every Prothean within the Galaxy, They where relentless, brutal, and absolutely thorough." Vigil would say as Havier would approach Shepard before saying.

"I know you'll want to talk this things ears off Shepard but its probably best to ask it why it wanted us to come down here as we are on a somewhat limited time schedule." Shepard would nod her head in agreement with Havier before saying.

"You said you brought me here for a reason, Tell me what I need to do?" Shepard would ask as Vigil would respond saying.

"The Conduit is the key, before the Reapers attacked we Protheans where on the cusp of unlocking the mysteries behind mass relay technology, Ilos was a top secret facility, here researchers worked to create a small scale version of a mass relay, one that linked directly to the Citadel, the hub of the relay network." Vigil would say as Havier would respond saying.

"Damn a backdoor right onto the Citadel, better hope the High Marshal never finds out or she'll probably order us to carry the damn thing back to Olympus Mons." Shepard would chuckle slightly at Havier's statement before saying.

"How did you mange to stay hidden all this time?" Shepard would ask as Vigil would respond.

"All official records of our project where destroyed in the initial attack on the Citadel, While the Prothean empire came crashing down, Ilos was spared, we severed most communication with the outside, and our facility went dark, the personnel retreated underground into these archives." Vigil would say before continuing.

"When it became obvious that there was no chance at victory everyone was put into cryogenic stasis, I was programmed to monitor the facility and wake the staff when the danger had passed, but the genocide of a species is a long, slow, process, years passed, decades, centuries, The Reapers persisted, and my energy reserves where dwindling." Shepard would growl at Vigil before saying.

"You should of fought instead of hiding like rats!" Shepard would bark out as Vigil would respond saying.

"We were a few hundred against a galactic invasion fleet, our only hope was to remain undetected." Vigil would say before continuing. "I began to disable the life support of non essential personnel, first support staff then security, one by one, there pods where shut down to conserve energy, Eventually only the stasis pods of the top scientists remained active, Even these where in danger of failing when the Reapers retreated back through the Citadel relay." Vigil would finish as Tali would respond horrified saying.

"Keelah there where hundreds of stasis pods out there and you shut them down, killed them." Tali would say as Shepard would sigh before saying.

"As much as I hate to admit it was necessary, its better to have a few live than not at all." Shepard would state as Vigil would reply saying.

"This outcome was not completely unforeseen, my actions where a result of contingency programming entered on my creation." Havier would respond saying.

"That must have been grizzly, no wonder they didn't tell them, I've seen this stuff happen on cargo freighters carrying less than friendly cargo and typically if they need to conserve power they'll resuscitate and end the cryostasis of there cargo and simply lock them in there pods and let them suffocate or die of dehydration, damn nasty way to go if I have to say." Tali would nod her head in agreement with Havier as Vigil would respond saying.

"I saved key personnel when the Reapers retreated, the top researchers where still alive, my actions are the only reason any hope remains, when the researchers woke they realized that the Prothean species was doomed, there where only a dozen individuals left, far to few to sustain a viable population, yet they vowed to find some way to stop the reapers returning, A way to break the cycle forever, and they knew the keepers where the key." Vigil would say as Havier would interject before saying.

"Wait you said that this facility had cut off most communications but not all, why not simply cut off all communications entirely?" Havier would ask before Vigil would respond saying.

"We needed to have some way of communicating with what remained of the Leadership of the Prothean Empire, and also to co-ordinate the research efforts for the Crucible project." Shepard's interest would be immediately piqued by the Prothean AI's statement and would quickly reply saying.

"Wait, what was this Crucible project about?" Shepard would ask as Vigil would respond saying.

"The Crucible was intended to be a super weapon capable of defeating the Reapers, the blueprint for the weapon itself was recovered from the ruins of a older civilization shortly before the beginning of the Reaper invasion, shortly after the Reapers had taken the citadel and had begun to ravage our major worlds, Pashok Vran, the acting Regent of the Prothean Empire ordered for any and all available resources to be dedicated towards the research and production of the Weapon." Vigil would state as Cyreen would reply saying.

"I take it the Reapers found out about the weapon and moved to destroy it though?" Cyreen would ask as Vigil would respond saying.

"Yes, once the Reapers found out about the weapons location from indoctrinated agents they moved to destroy it and all research associated with it, we where lucky to be spared for last and were able to move most of our resources to the archives before the Reapers arrived." Shepard would nod in understanding before replying saying.

"Do you still have the blueprints for the device?" Shepard would ask as Vigil would respond saying.

"Yes but they are heavily degraded and will need at least four to six of its sister blueprints to be fully repaired to its original state." Vigil would say as Shepard would respond saying.

"Do you know how we can find them?" Shepard would ask as Vigil would respond saying.

"Yes, when the scientists re-awakened they set off across the galaxy to gather the remaining pieces of the blueprints for the device they could find and stored them within data sphere scattered throughout the galaxy, there location only known by the Blue Data Obelisks scattered across the galaxy as well." Shepard would nod in understanding as Cyreen would respond saying.

"Why didn't they restore the blueprint to full functionality though, surely that wouldn't be easier to do than scatter the fragments of the recovered blueprints across the galaxy?" Cyreen would ask as Vigil would respond saying.

"That is because the scientists main focus was on the Citadel, The Keepers are controlled by the Citadel and before each invasion a signal is sent through the station compelling the Keepers to activate the Citadel Relay." Vigil would pause for a moment before continuing.

"After Decades of feverish study, the scientists discovered a way to alter the signal, using the Conduit, they gained access to the Citadel and made the modifications, this time when Sovereign sent the signal to the Citadel, The Keepers ignored it, the Reapers are trapped in dark space." Vigil would state as Havier would respond saying.

"Well Saren probably has some way to bring in his party favours from dark space though?" Havier would ask as Vigil would respond saying.

"The one you call Saren will use the Conduit to bypass the Citadels defences, once inside he will transfer control of the station to Sovereign." Vigil would pause for a moment before continuing. "Sovereign will manually override the systems and open the relay, And the cycle of extinction will begin again." Vigil would finish as Shepard would respond saying.

"I'll take Sovereign down even if it kills me." Shepard would say as Vigil would respond.

"There are multiple Data files in my console, one for what remains of the Crucible Plans, one for the locations of the Data Obelisks, and another one to override the Citadel's master control unit." Vigil would say before continuing. "It will corrupt the Citadels security protocols and give you temporary control over the station, it might give you a chance against Sovereign." Shepard would nod in understanding ash Three Datafiles would emerge out of the console, quickly taking them and inserting said files into her omnitool Shepard would be cut off from replying as Havier would say.

"I've never heard of a Citadel master control unit nor where it is?" Havier would ask as Vigil would reply saying.

"Through the Relay, follow Saren, he will lead you to your destination." Vigil would say as Tali would say.

"Commander I think we should get a move on, the more we talk with this machine the greater the lead Saren will have." Tali would say as Shepard would nod her head in agreement.

"Agreed we need to move hopefully we can catch up with him." Shepard would say but just as the group turned to leave Vigil would say.

"The one you call Saren has not yet reached the conduit, not yet, there is still hope if you hurry, I will delay him with the security systems of this base but that will not stop him forever." Vigil would say as Shepard would nod before saying.

"I know and thank you," Shepard would say simply before turning around and saying.

"Alright everyone we don't have time to gawk lets move!" Shepard would bark out as her squad would make a mad dash towards the Elevator hoping that they weren't to late.

Ilos. Ruined City.

Location: Bunker Courtyard, Nearing Conduit.

"Alright you bloody filth, eat plasma fire!" Havier would shout out as he along with most of the squad fired outside the gun ports as the MAKO speeded past a Armature and began to drive down a long ramp to there intended destination.

Due to the limited time constraints they were under Ashley had chosen to simply drive at full speed and ignore most of the Geth forces which, thanks to the Geth's slow speed was actually working rather well for the most part and the MAKO was now approaching what appeared to be the Conduit.

"Keelah that thing is big." Tali would say as she looked up at the Mini mass relay in awe with the MAKO stopping temporarily as everyone took in the site of the conduit.

"Ashley stop gawking at the damn thing and drive, they'll probably try to shut it down if we don't get through soon." Shepard would bark out knocking Ashley out of her stupor as the Gunnery Sargent would slam down the accelerator sending the MAKO flying towards the Conduit.

Of course there speeding towards the Conduit wasn't exactly appreciated by the Geth forces surrounding it as a several Armatures that had been surrounding it along with a number of Geth troopers would fire at the fast moving MAKO.

This would however be in vain as the slow moving siege pulses of the Armatures where utterly incapable of hitting the MAKO and the far less powerful shots from Geth rocket troopers and regular troopers did nothing to the heavy armour of the Vehicle as it barrelled at full speed into the Conduit being shot strait across the galaxy and into the heart of the Citadel.

Well that took me awhile to write, sorry about it not being released sooner I was doing stuff at that time but I should release some more stuff on a by regular basis in the future I hope, any way I hope you enjoyed it and yeah.
