aburameclandhead: X-23 was created for the television show X-Men:Evolution. The character has been transposed to X-Men (and hence Marvel) comics in general. None of the additions (a 'real' name, details about her skeleton) were in the single episode she had a voice. That being said, in the show she is primarily defined by her project name and it was only stated that she 'went through the Weapon X procedure'.
Hence, I have no reason in this fan fix to a) Call her by something else because I don't see how she would want to and Professor X wouldn't force her and he probably has last say. After all, it's still Logan & Mr. Logan to the students. b) Not think that Hydra (mark II if you want to separate the south east Asian organization from the Nazi one) would not bond adimantinum to all her bones and just let her never reach her full height. If you're evil enough to grow a little girl as a weapon, you're not conscience bound enough to make sure she grows up. c)My spelling. It's a fan fic?

A plain sedan rolled to a stop in front of the X-Mansion's main entrance. A blind woman got out from the driver's side and rang the door bell.
A cautious teen, squinting behind his ruby sunglasses answered the door. "um...can I help you? Miss...?"
"Yes, you will, Scott.", the woman told him. "You'll call for your professor and bring the second person I'm here to see."
"Who is it, Scott?", Jean called out to the boy. Scott then realized he hadn't told the woman his name prior.
"Don't worry.", she assured. "I know she won't be back until later."
"Professor?!", Scott called out...just as predicted.
Charles rolled around the corner. Just before he could speak, the visitor did. "Magnus, is this any way to treat a house guest?"
Erik Lensherr immediately followed the professor. "Destiny!"
"Out of the way boy.", the man continued. He soon scooped the woman and her walking stick into a hug.
"I've always said that's no way to talk about your students.", Destiny told him. "Keep on this path/"
"Fine.", Mr. Lensherr agreed. "I apologize for snapping at you Cyclops."
"It's Scott Summers when I'm out of uniform."
"Of course it is.", Erik dismissed.
Scott was about to continue but a tickle in the back of his mind offered a better possibility. Jean walked up and took his arm. But she couldn't help noting the expressions on the adults faces. From behind her opaque glasses, the blind woman seemed to be glaring at her - specifically. Erik and Charles exchanged a cautious look and turned back to the newcomer.
"What?", Jean asked. She bobbed her head quickly, just to make sure the woman couldn't really see her.
Destiny turned back to Charles and nodded emphatically. Charles eyes widened. "I...um. I see your point. Ms...?"
"Adler. Irene Adler."
Jean turned to her longest teacher. "Professor?"
"I need to consider something I was just made aware of, Jean.", he told her without really looking at her. "I'll be in my study until further notice. Erik, if you would be so kind as to entertain our guest?"
"Of course, Charles.", Erik stated. "Now, Desitny/"
"I know Rogue isn't in, Magnus.", she replied.
Erik turned to her. "Don't worry. She won't be without you picking her up. All the same, it would do for us to wait nearest the telephone. We wouldn't want the police getting someone else when they call, now would we?
"And by the by. If you ever hear of the red head becoming connected with either a 'Shiar' or a 'Hellfire'...just stop her, alright?"

Todd strode in the mall like a boss. And bounced off the chest of a security guard like a fool.
"I think that's far enough son.", the man told him. "Don't you?"
"I didn't take nothin'.", Todd stated by reflex.
"Any lives. Yet.", the security guard explained. "But I don't need the place to blow up. So why don't you turn your little gene trip around and go shop somewhere else."
Todd winced. Not by the insult to him. But into the insult to X-23 and Rogue. He should have been wincing in anticipation.
"But we can go in?", X-23 inquired. She ignored Rogue dragging her hand over her throat.
"Of course, miss.", the guard replied. "But...maybe next time bring some better company. What ever's wrong with him's already done this one's hair white."
Rogue rolled her eyes to her white bang in the middle of a brown head of hair.
X-23 furrowed her brow in confusion. "But we're way more powerful than he is." And she unsheathed a set of claws to demonstrate.
And so went the neighborhood.
The guard drew his night stick and broke it over X-23's metal skull. While her face was healing in order not to bruise, the guard threw a punch and broke his fingers over X-23's metal skull. Then with his good hand he pressed his uniform's radio button. "We're under a mutant attack. Send back up. All of it."
X-23's claws retracted and the piercings they left in her hands took more time to heal than the potential injury to her face. She gestured to Todd. "Didn't he just get through saying that they didn't have the capacity to deal with just you?"
Todd and Rogue both had their hands over the faces, mourning their misfortune.
Inevitably, a group of minimally paid security guards came rushing up. In their untrained, and previously shown to be terrible, judgement the group ran in.
Rogue stepped forward, arms open, hands showing just like the Professor had taught her. "Look, we didn't mean nothing by/"
She was cut off as the first fist connected with her jaw. It stuck there until the person it was attached to fell to the ground asleep. More annoyed at the 'appropriated memory' of giddiness at being able to take on a mutant than she was with the punch, Rogue glared at the fallen security guard. "How dare you!"
And that's how she failed to notice the second punch. Which also collapsed the guard as soon as he made contact with her skin. And the third. And the fourth.
And the fifth.
"Oh, for crying out loud now!", Rogue cried out loud. "This is gettin' rediculous, ya'll."
The remaining guard drew his nightstick and was about to bash it against a skull that was now six times as strong as it should be for the next minute or so. But before he could, a tongue came out of nowhere and made off with the weapon. The guard glanced around for it and spotted Todd holding it in his mouth. The boy spit it on the floor. "Uh...you dropped it?"
The guard grit his teeth and threw himself at the kid. Rogue tried to pull Todd out of the way, and considering that she was six times as fast as normal she thought she could. But Todd's tongue stuck to the cieling and pulled him to it. Once Todd had secured his hands to the ceiling he looked at the guard. In a perfected petty criminal voice Todd pleaded, "Look, I can explain."
The guard jumped to grab him, but Todd easily pulled himself out of harms way. After a few failed attempts at reasoning with the man, and too many flatscans taking pictures, and Rogue's worried look and X-23 was with him too and...YOU KNOW WHAT?
Todd fell from the ceiling directly on top of the guard. The man collapsed under him and stared into a way to amphibeous face that could spit all manner of secretions.
"Don't hurt him!", Rogue cried reaching for him.
X-23 glanced around the situation. "We'll need him neutralized before we can attempt an escape."
And so Todd decided.
