Sesshomaru told her in no uncertain terms to never bring the wolf back. But what did she do? She brought a wolf back.
"Miko, what is that?"
Kagome beamed. "Isn't it cute!"
Inuyasha smirked in the background. "I told her not to bring it,"
Rin came running, happy to see them back, but then her eyes landed on what Kagome had cuddled in her hands. "Puppy!" She ran right up to Kagome.
"It's it cute!" Kagome smiled while bending down so Rin could see.
"It ain't cute," Inuyasha huffed,
"You're just being jealous," Kagome replied. Inuyasha darted his eyes at his brother. "Yeah, I ain't the jealous one,"
"Return it, Miko,"
Kagome looked at him. "Im babysitting,"
She then hauled the pup up and showed it to him. "You said not to bring Kouga back,"
"I said wolf,"
"You said that wolf,"
"A wolf is wolf woman,"
Inuyasha and the gang went inside, letting Kagome and Sesshomaru have it out. Inuyasha warned her and told her he wasn't going to be happy.
But as she stated, he was not her boss, keeper, lover, or daddy, which had Inuyasha blushing, and that was the end of that.
He was fairly certain their game had become something more, even if they had not realized it, or maybe they did; who knew and who cared?
"It's a puppy,"
Said puppy, then licked Kagome and looked at Sesshomaru, who growled at it.
Kagome hugged the little thing tight. "Did you just growl at him,"
"He mocks me,"
"He is a puppy!"
"It matters not, he is male,"
Kagome rolled her eyes and walked past him.
"Miko!"
She ignored him.
That night, there was no making out because she was too invested in the pup.
"Kagome, I think the demon Lord of the West is pouting," Sango whispered,
"He will get over it," Besides, he didn't kick her out.
When it was time for bed, the puppy followed after Kagome, but Sesshomaru stopped him, towering over the small thing.
The wolf yipped,
"Sesshomaru, stop scaring him!" Kagome snapped,
The pup walked into her room and jumped on the bed, which only made Sesshoamru growl louder. "Wanna join us?" Kagome asked,
Completely insulted, Sesshomaru slammed the door and left.
The morning came, and Sesshomaru was still in a bad mood. The puppy and the dog demon had several growling matches at the breakfast table.
"Come on, Kagome, would you just give him some attention already? It's getting on my nerves!" Inuyasha huffed.
Kagome felt bad and was about to drop the puppy in Sango's lap to take a walk, and possibly steal some kisses from one demon Lord, but the puppy whimpered and stuck its nose into Kagome's neck.
"AH, fuck it's gone a done it now," Inuyasha was getting a headache.
Sesshomaru grabbed the puppy by its neck as its mother would and dropped it into the slayer's lap, then grabbed Kagome's hand and dragged her away.
"Wanna make out?" She laughed nervously; that line always worked before.
"Woman, it will take a lot more than a simple kiss."
She swallowed.
He kissed her, and licked her, and rubbed his face and nose all into her neck, and that night he slept in the bed while the pup whimpered at the door.
When Dawn came, it was time to go, "Sesshomaru, I have to take it back," She pouted,
"Are you a pouting woman?"
"Im going to miss it,"
Sesshomaru leaned in and nibbled her nack. "If you want a pup that bad, I may be willing to oblige Miko; you need only ask."
Snuggles and kisses and licks were one thing!
"Go to go!"
She scooped the pup up, and off they went. But now the puppy wanted nothing to do with the blushing miko.
"Why is he growling at me!" Kagome asked as they walked away.
"Because the bastard scent marked you," Inuyasha rolled his eyes,
"What does that mean?" She asked,
"Go figure you would ask questions later," Inuyasha took the pup, though he, too, hated it. "It means if you wanna play with puppies, you got to make you own,"
"With him," Sango added,
"I thought he was kidding!" Kagome gapped, making everyone stop. They had been kidding; he, however, was not.
They returned the pup. "You wanna babysit again, Kagome?" Kouga asked,
"Fat chance, wolf,"
"I was asking her!"
"She's not the one you should be asking, idiot!"
"Who else would I ask!"
"Her keeper," Inuyasha yelled,
"He isn't my keeper!" Kagome yelled,
"OH yeah, that's not what your scent says."
Kouga was confused. Miroku chimed in, "If Kagome wants to play with puppies, she has to have her own,"
Kouga grinned, and Inuyasha groaned.
"For fuck sake, Kagome, would you tell him, if you bring another pup around Sesshomaru, it's gonna take a lot more than cuddles,"
Kagome blushed,
"Not that you seem to mind," Inuyasha said under his breath,
"I'll give you pups!"
"She spoken for ass hat!"
Kagome ended up punching one and sitting the other; of course, she would take Inuyasha's warning and never bring another pup around the demon Lord.
