These are ideas for scenes I would like to see, or at least something similar, in Volume 10. These will include characters introduced and expanded on in the books, After the Fall and Before the Dawn. I don't own any of the characters, they belong to Rooster Teeth.

Old Friends

After several tries, Team RWBY and the remaining Ace Ops were able to get together. There was some awkward silence at the beginning, but they were able to reconcile with each other and begin mending their relationship.

Ruby: "So, how are things going for you here in Vacuo?"

Harriet: "It's taken some time, but we're getting used to things."

Elm: "We've also gotten better at working with other groups of Huntsmen and Huntresses, like the Happy Huntresses."

Harriet: "Speaking of, there's something I've been meaning to ask you, Marrow."

Narrowing his eyes in suspicion, Marrow: "What?"

Harriet: "What's going on between you and May?"

Unable to answer, his face turned red. He tried to escape, but Elm and Yang were already blocking the only two exits. Weiss then used her Semblance to hold him down with a gravity glyph before he could find another means of escape.

Weiss: "You're not getting away that easily."

Yang: "With that reaction, you cannot say it's nothing. So, spill."

Marrow: "It's…'sigh'…complicated."

Blake: "Why?"

Marrow: "We were on the same team at the Academy, Team GEMM."

Harriet: "What?"

Elm: "Why haven't you told us?"

Marrow: "It wasn't something I felt comfortable bringing up. Team GEMM didn't have the best ending."

Ruby: "What happened?"

Marrow: "It started with graduation. The others weren't happy that May chose Mantle over the Atlas Military and cut off all ties with her. I had a different opinion, believing she was brave and courageous to do what she did. She tried to get me to join her, but I said no because I wanted to prove that a Faunas could succeed in Atlas. May understood and supported my decision. We did our best to try and stay in touch."

Blake: "But, then something happened."

Marrow: "I rose in rank and May joined the Happy Huntresses. I was made to keep quiet about missions and follow orders, while she was exposed to the negative side of the Atlas military. This caused tensions between us, but we tried not to let that interfere with our friendship. Then a tragedy struck. The other half of Team GEMM died on a mission. At their funeral, May and I got into a fight because she demanded to know what happened, but I was under orders to not say anything until the investigation team finished. It was a simple case of there being more Grimm than reported, but the damage to our friendship was already done."

Ruby: "I'm so sorry, Marrow."

Yang: "That must have been rough."

Harriet: "So, working with her now?"

Marrow: "I'm happier than I have been in a long time. No offense."

Elm: "None taken. We understand."

Marrow: "While working together reminds me of when we were at the Academy and there wasn't a evil immortal witch to fight. It is the times between missions that I find myself looking forward to more and more. It's nothing complicated, we are just walking through Vacuo and talking, but at those times it feels like everything else just fades away."

Weiss: "Why don't you tell her?"

Marrow: "Because I'm afraid. That fight we had was intense and those kinds of emotions are hard to let go. Just because I'm happy with her again, doesn't mean she is happy with me."

Blake: "That fear isn't so unusual." She shared a smile with Yang before continuing, "All you need now is the courage to take that first step."

ELSEWHERE

Robyn rushed back to the tent she shared with the other Happy Huntresses after receiving an emergency meeting message from Fiona. When she got close, she saw Fiona and Joanna standing outside the tent.

Robyn: "Sorry it took so long. What's the emergency?"

Fiona: "It's not really an emergency, more of a …."

Joanna: "Concern."

Robyn's confused look caused the two to step aside and allow her to enter the tent. Looking inside, she was shocked at what she saw and had to open and close the flaps multiple times before her brain registered it as reality. Inside, May was dancing as she was going about her chores. On one of the later checks, Robyn also noticed that May was humming with a smile on her face. The three of them have known May for years now, but have NEVER seen her act like this before.

Fiona: "You see why we called this emergency meeting?"

Robyn: "Yes. If you had told me, I wouldn't have believed you."

Joanna: "Any idea of what could have caused this."

Robyn thought for a moment before answering: "I think I might. Let me just confirm something first." She stepped away and called someone on her scroll. When she returned: "Okay. You two flank her and I'll question her."

They nodded but also noticed the smirk on their leader's face. They entered the tent and cornered May, who was too in her own head to realize what was happening.

May: "Hey, what's up?"

Robyn: "That should be our question. Did something good happen today?"

Now realizing the position she was in, May: "Nothing more than usual."

Robyn: "Really? So, your overly happy attitude has nothing to do with Wags?"

May's face went red as she finally realized what was going on. She tried to use her Semblance to escape, but Fiona was too quick for her and grabbed May in a hug. Looking up at May from her hug, Fiona had a huge smile on her face.

Fiona: "Running away won't help you. One way or another, we will get it out of you."

Joanna, placing a hand on May's shoulder: "Robyn and I are one thing, but you know Fiona will never stop pestering you."

May was so distracted by the other two, she didn't notice that Robyn had grabbed her hand until she activated her Semblance. She also noticed that Robyn's smirk had turned into a predatory smile with an amused glint in her eye.

May realized that the only things she could do now were gulp and pray that what was about to be said would NEVER leave this tent.
