Birdo found herself in the dusty Bone Dry Dunes after being chased by the angry Chain Chomps all the way from the Peach Gardens. Birdo panted as she noticed the giant skull of Dry Bowser near the starting line, sitting on the rocks as she took in a deep breath.
"Man, I'm never going to be able to find a way into Peach's Castle..." Birdo remarked as she placed her hands on her face. "Ugh, this seriously sucks... why do I even bother...?"
Dry Bowser eyed her cautiously as he was digging up some dinosaur fossils nearby, folding his skeletal arms together. "Why the hell would you want to go there?"
Birdo glanced at Dry Bowser, moving her hands around. "Because I'm worried about the girls. Who knows what trouble they could be into now?" She sighed as Dry Bowser tried his best to comfort her, which wasn't much. The pink dinosaur then decided to attempt digging as a way to pent out her disappointment.
"So, uh, when did you have claws?" Dry Bowser asked as he was surprised at how much Birdo could dig.
"I always had these. I just had no real use for them since my hands or eggs could get most of the job done." Birdo responded as she adjusted her red bow before going back to digging. "I wouldn't even be bothering to do this if I just knew where the girls were..."
"Well did you exactly remember where you left them?" Dry Bowser pointed out as he pulled out some fragile bones sticking out of his skeletal body.
"No, and that's where my predicament is." Birdo explained as she stopped her digging, adjusting her big red bow. "It was one thing if I could find a way to communicate with them, but I don't recall any of us having our phones. Oh how I wish this task wasn't so grueling on me as it might be on them..."
Dry Bowser tried his best to comfort Birdo, although he secretly wondered if she was better off without her three girlfriends.
And speaking of the girls...
Princess Peach Toadstool, Princess Daisy, and Toadette were all trapped inside the elevator. Peach has been trying countless times to open the door, but she had no luck, causing her to give up as she was feeling weak from attempting to pry the elevator door open.
"Urgh! I just can't get the stupid door to open! It's closed shut!" Peach complained, sighing and giving up as she walked over to Toadette and Daisy.
"What are we gonna do!? We can't be stuck in here forever!" Daisy whined, pouting in her spot as she clenched her fists.
"What moron's stupid, idiotic idea was it to include an elevator in this kind of castle, anyway?" Toadette asked, her face red with anger as she placed her hands on her hips and angrily tapped her right foot constantly, wanting an answer.
Nearby, a purple-colored Toad can be heard whistling nervously to himself as he moved away from the elevator shaft on the second floor of the castle.
Peach sighed, shaking her head and closing her eyes. "Well, there's no time for just yapping at each other. Let's just find a way to get out." She stated calmly as she sat down on the floor.
Daisy and Toadette all looked at each other, shrugged, and sat down with Peach. Two minutes and fourteen seconds passed, but it was enough to get an idea to work in the minds of the three trapped girls.
"I got it!" Daisy exclaimed, pointing up at the ceiling with her right index finger, "How about we tie each other up, and we all slam into the door one at a time to wear it down for it to break?"
Silence. Daisy blinked as she received blank looks from Peach and Toadette.
"...That's stupid, Daisy!" Peach snapped, rubbing her right arm with her left hand shortly afterwards and stating her idea while letting out a deep pitched fart, "I was thinking more of using our butts to cushion it..."
Daisy and Toadette all gave Peach weird face expressions, causing the pink-clad blonde princess to blush slightly with embarrassment.
"What!? How would you like it if you have to think of something that's insane!?" Peach shouted back in anger, fumes coming out from her ears in addition to her farty butt.
"Anyway..." Toadette stated, coughing as she looked at the two feminine humans around her, "I suggest that we do a rain dance of sort, to please the one in the heavens to get us out."
"...that doesn't make sense!" Peach and Daisy exclaimed as all three of the girls began squabbling with each other, until Toadette proceeded to scream loud enough to stop the chaotic conversation.
"Enough of this stupidity! We'll just have to sit down and wait for someone else to rescue us..." Toadette grumbled, the young pink-capped mushroom girl started as she sat down and folded her arms, hoping that someone from the outside of the elevator shaft would rescue her and the other princesses, who sat down and pondered as well.
Right outside of the elevator shaft on the main floor, Funky Kong passed by, carrying equipment for Toadsworth to use, and singing to himself while he turned around and headed down the stairs.
"Singing to myself about being filler for this story... having nothing to say but just being a random guy who's making his only appearance in this strangely popular story... I wish I could have a real role again beyond selling junk..." Funky sung oddly as he passed by Toadsworth, who was starting to having a panic fit due to not seeing Peach.
"Oh, where is the princess this time...?" Toadsworth asked himself as he headed to the main entry room of the castle to greet the various visitors from different, neighboring lands.
