Sakura eyed the luminous numbers in the face of her alarm clock when she felt the other side of the bed dipped. The clock showed her the time, 3:00 AM. She pretended to be asleep when she felt Kakashi's arm drape over her waist and pulled her closer to his chest.

Sakura bit her lip so that she can stop herself from asking the man the question that had been nagging in her mind. She felt the hot tears run down her cheeks when the silver-haired started to rub his face on the back of her neck.

This is the fifth time that Kakashi went home late in a span of two weeks. And that ever present perfume is assaulting her nostrils again. Sakura lay still in the darkness, her heart heavy with the weight of her unspoken questions. She knew that she couldn't keep her feelings bottled up forever, but the fear of what the answers might be held her back. Kakashi's arm, warm and reassuring, tightened around her, and she couldn't help but feel conflicted. The man she loved was beside her, yet the distance between them seemed to grow with every late night and every whiff of that unfamiliar yet familiar perfume.

As Kakashi nuzzled her neck, Sakura's emotions threatened to spill over. She wrestled with the urge to confront him, to demand an explanation for his late arrivals and the scent that clung to him like an unwelcome intruder. But she also feared the possibility of pushing him further away.

Tears continued to trace their silent paths down her cheeks, unnoticed in the darkness of their bedroom. She wondered if Kakashi was aware of her turmoil, or if he was merely seeking comfort in her presence after a long and tiring day. The scent of another woman hung in the air, a constant reminder of the wedge that seemed to be driving them apart.

"Sakura." Kakashi said her name, his voice low as if afraid of waking her. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to."

Sakura heart constricted in pain as she heard the apologies that came out of Kakashi's mouth. She's afraid of moving and notifying the man that she is awake. Afraid that whatever he is apologizing for will break her heart.

Kakashi pressed a kiss on the back of her neck. "I'm really sorry, Sakura." After he said that, he withdrew his arm and left the room.

Sakura lay there, still as a statue, as she listened to Kakashi's whispered apologies. The weight of his words hung in the air, and her heart ached with the knowledge that something was amiss. She had wanted to confront him, to demand answers, but his unexpected departure left her feeling even more lost and confused.

As the sound of his footsteps faded away, Sakura turned to face the empty space he had occupied, the coolness of the sheets contrasting with the warmth of his body that had been so close. She couldn't hold back her tears any longer. The unspoken doubts and questions had become too much to bear, and she knew she couldn't continue like this.

With a heavy heart, Sakura got out of bed, wiping away her tears. She needed answers, and she needed to confront Kakashi about the late nights and the lingering scent of another woman. She couldn't let her fears and uncertainties continue to erode their relationship.

Determined, she went in search of Kakashi, hoping that whatever it is that he is apologizing for won't destroy the marriage she's trying so hard to pull together.

"Kakashi?" she called out to him in the dark. She was outside their room, and the dark seems to hide him.

Sakura's voice quivered as she called out to Kakashi, her heart heavy with anticipation and fear. The darkness of the house seemed to swallow her words as they echoed through the quiet rooms. She took a deep breath and called out to him again, this time with more resolve.

"Kakashi, please, we need to talk." Her voice carried a sense of urgency, a plea for him to come and face the issues that were straining their relationship. She had to know the truth, no matter how painful it might be.

After a few moments, she heard the creaking of a floorboard, and Kakashi's shadowy figure emerged from the darkness. He looked at her with a mix of surprise and concern, his single visible eye reflecting the dim light.

"Sakura, what's wrong?" His voice held a note of worry as he approached her.

Sakura hesitated for a moment, her eyes searching his face for answers. "Kakashi, I can't keep pretending that everything is okay. The late nights and that perfume... it's tearing us apart. I need to know what's going on."

Kakashi run his hands into his hair making it messier than it currently is. Her heart sank as she gazed at Kakashi's guilt. He doesn't have to say the words, she knows. And it's breaking her heart.

"Kakashi." Her voice broke as she felt her tears streaming down her face. "How could you?" she asked of her husband of two years.

"Sakura, I - I" He rubbed his hand to his face. "I don't know."

Sakura's heart shattered as Kakashi struggled to find the right words, his admission of guilt hanging heavily in the air. Tears streamed down her face as she watched the man she loved, her emotions a turbulent mix of pain, anger, and betrayal.

"Kakashi, you need to be honest with me," Sakura whispered, her voice trembling with hurt. "I deserve to know the truth. How could you betray our trust like this? I thought we were better than this."

Kakashi's gaze fell to the floor, unable to meet her eyes. "I messed up, Sakura. I can't justify what I've done. It was a mistake, and I regret it. I never wanted to hurt you."

Sakura felt a deep ache in her chest, a pain that seemed to consume her from the inside out. "A mistake? Kakashi, this goes beyond that. It's a breach of trust. I can never trust you again." she told him, she can't muster the strength to shout or hurt the man. Her whole body is going numb. "I can't do it anymore. I'm trying so hard to keep this marriage together, but how can I save something you already threw away?"

As Sakura spoke, the room seemed to grow even darker, mirroring the depths of her pain and disillusionment. Kakashi's silence only emphasized the gravity of his actions and the rift that had formed between them.

Tears continued to stream down Sakura's face as the weight of her words settled in the air. She had been trying to hold onto their marriage, to find a way back to the love they had shared, but her trust had been irrevocably shattered. The sense of betrayal and disappointment seemed insurmountable, and she questioned whether they could ever recover from this.

Kakashi finally raised his head to meet her gaze, and his eye held a mixture of sorrow and understanding. "Sakura, I know that I've hurt you deeply, and I can't change the past. But I don't want to lose you. I'll do whatever it takes to make amends and rebuild your trust, even if it takes a lifetime."

Sakura's heart ached as she looked at the man she had loved so deeply. The man who broke her heart in a worst possible way. She shook her head and removed her rings from her finger and throw it at him. "I will never forgive you. I hate you, Kakashi." she said, then slammed the door on his face.
