A\N: This is the final chapter for Exhaustion reveals secrets because I'm awful at multi-chapter stories and I'm losing motivation with this story, so I hope you enjoy this last chapter, Angels.

The silence in Oscar's living room after she asked him that question wasn't exactly uncomfortable but not comfortable either. Oscar looked at her in shock. "Betts," he said quietly. "listen to me, I love you so much, Betts, I've loved you ever since I set eyes on you." He said. Betty smiled as she moved closer to him so that she could almost touch his knee. "I love you too, Oscar." She said before Oscar's lips descended onto her own. She wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him closer to her. She opened her mouth and allowed his tongue to enter her mouth, just as the kiss deepened, Oscar pulled away and cupped her face. "I love you and I'm going to make sure you know that for the rest of our lives." He told her softly. She smiled as she instantly believed every word that he told her. "I know you will." She said as she laid her head on his shoulder as she watched the TV.

Maybe passing out from exhaustion was a good thing. The redheaded woman thought as Oscar kissed her forehead.

Epilogue- 3 years later:

It had been three years since Dr Betty Rogers had passed out from exhaustion and life the past three years with Oscar had been amazing. After telling each other that they loved each other, Betty immediately moved in with Oscar, sold her apartment and fell in love with even more. She told him about her childhood, allowed him to comfort her after nightmares struck her, and stopped her from relapsing on more than one occasion.

Now the ME sits on her couch, a wine glass in her hand and a smile on her face as the Border Collie puppy plays tug of war on one of her husbands shoe laces. A smile comes to her face as the word 'husband' slips from her lips. Even after a year of marriage, the thought of Oscar being her husband, of him accepting all her baggage and flaws, amazes her. Her mother always used to tell her that no one could love someone who cut themselves, but Oscar had kept his promise to her. He had promised that he made sure she knew that loved her and he did. Not a day has gone by that he hasn't said those three words to her. Those three words used to remind her of her father and the day he left and before she had Oscar she used to shiver whenever someone spoke those words to her, but now, she looks forward to hearing those words coming from her husband.

Arms wrap around her waist and she jumps slightly, a smile crawling across her face as she hears a soft chuckle in her ear and a kiss being placed underneath her earlobe. "Hi." Her husband says. Betty leans against her husband and sighs in contentment as they watch their puppy destroy another pair of Oscar's shoes.

"Thank you." She says after a few minutes of silence between them.

"What for?" He asks, gently taking her empty wine glass out of her hand and setting it on the little table beside the door.

"For loving me, scars and all." She explains to him. Oscar kisses her cheek.

"You don't ever have to thank me for loving you, Betts." Her husband says as he scoops her up in his arms and carries her into their bedroom. She giggles as he gently kisses her scars.

"I told that night that I was going to spend the rest of our lives knowing that I love you and I intend to do that." Her husband tells her, kissing her lips. Dr Betty Rogers sighs lovingly as her husband takes his time showing her how much he loves her.

She's never been more happy to be exhausted in her life: because it gave her love, and eventually gave her her husband.

A\N: Exhaustion reveals secrets is complete. I know it's rushed but I've really lost my motivation to do multi-chapter stories on one fandom. I have a few NCIS and Harry Potter, a few Misc and Arrow stories in the works, so keep an eye out for them. I hope you enjoyed this Motive story, Angels.
