Tigress walked furiously towards her enemy's cell, she could not control what she felt about the situation, much less hide her true emotions from her greatest enemy.
Every step she took towards Tai Lung's cell was a firmer and more aggressive step, she constantly squeezed the dish of food she had and her mind was spinning thinking about how to tell him that they would have to go together in search of Po.
Upon entering the room where the cell was located, she saw Tai Lung laying on his bed with one arm over his face, blocking the light from his eye so he could rest better.
Tigress knocked twice on one of the cell bars, drawing Tai Lung's attention, and without saying a word, she handed him the plate of food under the bars.
"Thank you." Tai Lung said as he got up from his bed and walked towards the plate.
Tigress turned her back on her enemy, but was still standing there, which made Tai Lung know she wanted something.
"The food wasn't free apparently... what do you want from me?" Tai Lung aproached the bars of his cell to see Tigress better.
Tigress gave a long sigh. "We have to go find Po, you and me."
Tai Lung stared at Tigress, with a look of confusion, but a few seconds later he couldn't contain what he really felt upon hearing this. "HAHAHAHA… oh what a good joke, HAHAHA, for a second I thought it was true! Me? in search of the dragon warrior? HAHAHAHA!"
Tigress remained silent, just watching Tai Lung laugh, fixing her gaze on his eye, showing she wasn't joking.
"HAHA… ha… huh? Are you being serious?" his laughter faded upon seeing the serious look on Tigress.
Tigress remained silent, making it clear for Tai Lung that what she said was true.
"But who the hell came up with such a bad idea, I just came back from the dead, I feel weak, and you expect me to go find YOUR precious dragon warrior?!" Tai Lung said, surprised at what was being asked of him.
"Apparently this is the best idea we came up with to test your trust, if you really don't come to harm us, then you will be able to help us." Tigress said angrily, crossing her arms, but after thinking for a while a small smirk formed on her face. "Or do you really want to hurt us? I better tell Shifu to send you to prison once and for all…"
"Alright! I get it! I'm going with you, if this is how you want me to prove my loyalty to you, then so be it." Tai Lung said, resigning himself of going back to a maximum security prison.
"Oh, I don't want you to prove your false loyalty to me, I know that deep down you only seek to regain what was taken from you. But there is nothing I can do, we are stuck on this mission together, so if you want to harm us, you better tell me before we leave before dawn tomorrow."
"It's not a false loyalty! And besides, it was not me who came up with the "great idea" that we should go look for the panda, who surely abandoned you! Now that! That is a false loyalty."
Tigress upon hearing this turned to Tai Lung's cell and strongly hit and held her hands against the bars, making the entire cell tremble and almost break. "Don't even think you have the right to talk about Po! You don't even know what happened, for all we know he could be death!"
Tai Lung flinched away from Tigress, raising his hands to his sides and moving them slightly up and down, as a sign of understanding.
Tigress slowly released the bars and turned her back on Tai Lung, showing disinterest in him and also anger at the comment, but at the same time she wanted to contain the fear she felt, the idea of her friend death… she couldn't cope with it.
"So what's the plan? Because if I remember right, no one knows where Po is." Tai Lung asked in an understanding and relaxed tone, trying to calm Tigress after what happened.
Tigress turned to look at Tai Lung coldly, shook her head from side to side in disappointment and stared into his eye. "The only thing we know is that he was in the panda village, so that's where we're going. It's going to take us a week or so to get there and come back. That is if you don't delay me, because you're going to be wearing eight-point acupressure cuffs, just to be safe you won't try anything."
"eight-point acupressure cuffs?" Woah! I haven't used those in 3 years." Tai Lung said sarcastically.
Tigress just looked at him unimpressed.
"I'm joking, but seriously, if there is a problem and we have to fight?"
"I'm going to solve it!"
"Ha! I want to see you try. At least it's better for me like that, I just lay there and you do the work."
Tigress rolled her eyes and headed towards the exit of the room where Tai Lung was. "See you before dawn."
Tigress turned around and left the room, slamming the door, she headed to her bedroom, feeling anger and fury, she couldn't stand what she had to do the next day, but she knew she had to do it.
As she got to her room, she began to pack what was needed for the week with fury, making more noise with each item she packed.
"All good?" Crane said knocking on Tigress's sliding door.
Tigress did not answer, she only grunted slightly, ignoring her friend, she did not want to talk to anyone.
Hearing this Crane just gave a small sigh and opened the door slowly. "Tigress, I know what you're going through is hard and I know you're angry, but don't take it out on your friends."
Tigress turned to look at Crane with a cold look, she understood but she couldn't control her emotions at that moment. "Crane, I don't want to talk to anyone, okay? "Just let me rest, I'll leave tomorrow."
Crane looked confused and in awe at Tigress's response and just turned around and headed for the exit of the room. He was about to leave but he turned his head and looked at her with pitty. "You know, we just want to help you, it's not our fault you envy him."
Crane turned his head and continued on his way.
Tigress stopped packing her things and stared at the ceiling, letting out a big sigh, thinking about her friend's words. She felt bad treating him this way, but she knew the damage had already been done, and she decided to focus on the mission at hand rather than focus on other problems with her team, so she quickly turned her head back to her things and continued getting ready for the adventure.
Crane angrily left the resting hall and headed towards Tai Lung's cell, as it would be the last chance to talk to him before dawn.
Upon reaching the cell he opened the door and found Tai Lung kneeling on the ground with his hands on top of his knees, breathing deeply, it could clearly be seen that he was meditating, but when he heard Crane enter he opened his eye and looked at him.
"What's up, bird, do you want to join me in meditation?" said Tai Lung, inviting his enemy to sit in front of him in the cell.
Crane looked at him in confusion and stood in front of him staring him down. "I just want you to know that if you dare to hurt Tigress I will…"
"Don't worry! How many times do you want me to tell the same story so that you understand that I am not here to hurt any of you?! You are the ones who planned this, the best thing you can do now is trust me."
Crane stared at his enemy and analyzed him, almost looking into his soul. "I hope you're telling the truth, because if something happens to Tigress, there won't be anything left of you!"
Tai Lung looked at him coldly, he didn't like being threatened, but he knew he had to maintain his composure in these situations, so he decided not to say anything and closed his eye to continue meditating.
Crane turned around and left the room where his enemy was, somewhat distrustful, but at the same time sure that Tigress was strong enough to defend herself against his enemy.
Tai Lung listened as his enemy slowly left the room and gave a loud sigh, releasing all the fury and desire to hit him that he had, returning to his state of meditation.
After a while of meditation he opened his eye and walked to his bed, getting ready to sleep for the week to come, which would be something adventourous and yet daring for him, since it would be his first long trip after death.
To be continued…
