Now everything was in place. Now it was time to go make cakes for the bake-off. I went into the kitchen and grabbed the bowl of the universal mixer. I put flour, oatmeal, chili powder, whole garlic cloves, sugar, and honey in it. Fresh herring, buttermilk. Then I put them in the mixer. I tried to get the oven on but it wouldn't go, strange if it has a burnt-out light. I poured the mixture into a plastic container and put it in the oven. Then I should get to make a scene so the kids don't starve to death. I went over to Damon and stripped naked and said "Now fuck and fuck hard so the director can see. That's when I get paid and the kids get fed. Damon grabbed me by the hips and flipped me over onto my stomach and lifted my butt in the air and pushed himself all the way to the bottom and fucked me as hard as he ever could. Luckily, the scene was about to be done when I left to go find the President.
Charles saw Mimi bite Adam and knew the fate of his brother and father. He recruited the vampire brothers to help and they came with Rebecca. All three went in with bravado and none came out. Charles thought to himself "Idiots, I warned and much. Well, let's take the next ones if they know anything about being careful." He recruited Dresden and Constantine. A large cage was brought out where the captured would be initially placed and Colin had developed a binder and there was only one problem. It wouldn't work on Mimi. The only one who could get a working substance for Mimi would be Damon. So they had a plan. Charles had a rifle and he was watching to see who he could stun first. Colin had given him the stuff that would work on everyone but Mimi again, so Charles didn't even try Mimi yet.
He started with Adam and got him down. With the help of the wizards, they got Adam out and put the bonding agent on him. There was a lot of silver because Samuel had gotten it from somewhere and the lady drank it and then kept biting everyone involved. When they picked up Adam, Rebecca was on the living room couch with Nick fucking her from behind and Elias was fucking Nick right in the ass. They then had that Always and forever.
Everyone else had run away. Mimi defended her victims and was very angry when Adam was taken. Charles watched with rapt attention as Mimi almost attacked him. But she didn't quite dare. At that point, they'd been rampaging through the house for three weeks. Charles thought, either that house is going to get a good makeover or it's going to have to be torn down.
Adam was anesthetized in the cage and the binder was dripping well. The sedative kept Adam well anesthetized. Charles watched how careful Mimi was now, especially with Damon. As if she knew that as soon as Damon was fixed, she'd be fair game too. So Charles snatched the vampires out of the game because they mostly fucked in threes. Mimi did the cooking.
Charles had cut the power to the house as soon as he saw the bite. Otherwise, the whole house would have probably burned to the ground. It took him another week to get all three vampires and they were in Colin's facility getting treatment. Adam had just woken up. And cursing fiercely. Now they'd have harder victims. Damon would be the best option, but he was the most well-protected.
Next, they'd get Bran. Again, Mimi was about to attack. Mimi was wiry, her hair dirty, and naked, and tried to attack but when Charles raised his rifle Mimi backed away. They set off to put Bran in shape, who was also remarkably thin and weak. Malnourished, dirty. The cage was a good place to keep him anesthetized and let the binder do its work.
I don't understand, someone took my men. I'm trying to make a scene or beat the top chef and I can't find that damn Guillermo anywhere. And someone has the nerve to steal from me. But I can't get caught. As long as I have enough silver, I'll get my men back. Hmm. Idea. Well, I guess I'll take the one that's robbing me of them. Then I had to go back to make a scene while my partner was doing a renovation project and pulling electrical wires out of the wall.
Samuel was making new medicine cocktails and trying them out on whoever. They did have some funny consequences. Luckily, at least we got to do the scenes once in a while so the kids weren't always starving to death. But when the goddamn president wanted to do some renovations and I had to save it.
It was good to be a top surgeon and do surgery every now and then when the patients healed like magic. But I couldn't understand why the combustion engines in my armor wouldn't lift me into the air or why the web didn't come, even though I had loaded the web slings, as I understood it.
Adam and Bran began to recover and within a week of Bran's capture, they caught Damon and Samuel. Both are extremely underweight, dirty, and even sick. The men were easy victims because they were already so weak and slow. Mimi was not. Mimi attacked with teeth dripping silver. Mimi had been held in check during the pick-up by the combined efforts of Constantine and Dresden. Mimi had actually tried to come at Charles and bite the silver. They knew there was no more silver.
But there was plenty of it in Damon. It would take a couple of weeks at least to get these two back in shape before they could even try to catch Mimi. Once they got all the silver out of Damon, they had to keep Damon asleep for two weeks on an IV because he would have gone straight for Mimi. And when that would require dental materials and Damon simply didn't have the resources to make them. And he wouldn't listen to reason. So Colin and Samuel were doing Adam's bidding. Adam knew how Damon felt. He, too, was watching Mimi, who was now starting to weigh well under 30 kilos. She'd need a lot of work to get back in shape.
From the facility, 130 live bodies were rescued and the results of 226 others were found, some of whom were at least known to be dead. The crematorium at the facility and the number of ashes in it, judging by the number of bodies, all were presumed dead. Mimi was a hero, and the video of her rescue was still being shown, even though it had been 10 weeks.
Adam thought 10 weeks as a prisoner and now another 10 in this condition. Poor girl. But she did what she wanted to do and the public demanded the medical establishment be held to account. Some of the supernaturals, like the other shape shifters who had been well hidden, came out too because the victims were part of their people.
The President made several decisions in a short time frame to bring them to justice. When some groups then started demanding that there should be laws for the supernaturals too that they would have to obey, the President had said in his speech bluntly that he would not even start working on such a thing until they were at least given proper protection against medical experiments. Krycheck and Sark had both escaped, and there were several warrants out for them and charges were being brought all the time. With a surprising number of victims testifying, the case became stronger by the day.
Samuel, Colin, Adam, and Damon began to work out the best way to catch Mimi. Bran went back to Washington DC to discuss and continue what he was doing there. The press started calling Mimi America's Sweetheart. The men laughed as they thought about Mimi's reactions.
Damon at least knew that their wedding, even if it was their third, would be epic. When America's Sweetheart would get married. Damon also had some other, more prickly, plans in store for their wedding. They decided to set up Mimi. They'd found some net throwers at the plant and that would be the best way to get Mimi in place. Damon would have to get a direct whiff of Mimi's blood to make a perfect anesthetic because they had shot Mimi with very strong velvet darts and they hadn't had any effect.
They would go in through the front door. They would start pushing Mimi into a room or somewhere where there was no escape. Dresden and Constantine would do a spell so that the net projectile would be hidden and then they would fire it at Mimi and push Mimi down so that Damon could get a good whiff of Mimi's blood.
Damon had been eating vinegary foods and lots of them because he knew that for some reason his tooth stuff used vinegar. So he too was loaded. It was a day of action. Adam was carrying a net thrower. Damon's job was to lure Mimi out and then start guiding her to a good spot. Charles, Samuel, Adam, and Colin were all in on it. They all had strong Magnum-made armor that couldn't be broken through.
They went all the way up to the neck-to-ear level. Damon went in first. Mimi was downstairs, he saw movement. But downstairs was messy and cramped for action, they'd have to get Mimi upstairs, or out. Outside was a heavily fenced area and that would be the best option, but would he be able to direct Mimi there?
The men invaded here. First, they take everything from me and then they turn it into pod-people, and now they're coming for me. It's not working. Jack Bauer won't surrender. I gotta make a cake. The kids are starving to death, but the director won't pay to fuck with them.
I gotta get out of here. Get out there and find new people to do the scene with. The men were closing in relentlessly. I decided to sneak out and opened the doors and started running. Something hit me and I tripped. couldn't get up. Oh, the naughty Spider-Men had netted me.
Adam, Samuel, and Colin Charles all scrambled to keep the net firmly on the ground and Mimi in place as Damon walked closer and crouched down next to Mimi. He kept talking in a soothing, low voice even as Mimi screamed and tried to move. He took a small silver knife and cut a wound in Mimi's calf and inserted a blood tube under it so that the blood flowed down the tube. He held the knife point in the wound and when the tube was full he took the knife out and let the wound close.
Damon went off to walk a little distance and to get a good sniff of the blood, he tasted it. It tasted like anything but what blood should taste like. Damon thought, "Well, you can't call that blood by any stretch of the imagination, but at least the teeth are reacting." Damon took the jar out of his pocket and felt his teeth starting to come in. He bit through the lid of the jar. Now, the teeth don't put down the stuff if they're not fooled a little bit at a time. So there are sensory cells at the tips of the teeth and a little bit higher up that need to be activated before the substance starts to drain. So you always had to bite through some membrane or lid so that the sensory cells got a stimulus from biting through that, usually through the skin or vein, but luckily the cells didn't distinguish the skin from the plastic.
8 ml of the substance poured into the jar and Damon knew that this was only one dose. A very strong anesthetic that should stun or at least heavily sedate Mimi for a few hours so they could get Mimi into treatment and Damon could get the teeth rooted in her neck. He drew the substance into the syringe and took a slightly larger needle from his pocket.
Mimi had been knocked to the ground on her stomach, so he would have to administer directly into her heart from behind. From the back. Mimi was extremely thin, so it wouldn't be a problem in itself. But to Damon, it just seemed like a brutal way to anesthetize.
He went back to the men and said "I'm going to stick this in the heart from the back. This should put her to sleep, or at least sedate her very deeply, but we won't take any chances. Once I have given this, we will keep Mimi wrapped tightly in the net until we transfer her to the car. Then I very effectively tie Mimi up for the journey. We put these special collectors on Mimi's teeth and these are designed to fool Mimi's teeth into thinking they are on my neck. These collectors have a very realistic feel to them and there's a bit of blood here as you can see. Mimi's teeth will puncture this membrane and it will tell you that she is in a vein with these sensory cells on the tips of her teeth. Now there's another cluster of cells that are constantly analyzing the blood and draining the substances accordingly. Hence my blood. It's right on those sensory cells. Now that silver has taken over Mimi's dental sensory cells, she wants to silver. And this blood of mine, there's no silver in it, so Mimi's teeth start pushing silver reflexively. And it goes on and on as there's no silver in this blood. So I'm going to glue these to Mimi's teeth with superglue."
Everything was ready. Damon crouched down next to Mimi again and smelled the silver mesh burning Mimi's skin. He felt through the mesh's eyes down Mimi's back and found just the right spot and plunged the needle straight into her heart in one go. And then he pressed the plunger firmly and steadily down to the base. Mimi went completely limp.
They went to work and rolled Mimi onto her back, wrapping her tightly in the net. They could smell the silver continuing to burn. Mimi was carried into the car and Damon was ready. First, he opened Mimi's mouth and glued the collectors in place. Almost immediately, the silver started pouring into the tubes. Anything to remove the silver would help.
Then they untied Mimi and turned the unconscious woman onto her stomach. Damon pulled both of Mimi's hands behind her back and twisted them at the elbows so that the fingers of one hand touched the forearm of the other. He tied her hands behind her back at several points with a spiked grip, tied her legs together at several points, and then lifted her into a cage in the car. They closed the cage door and climbed into the car. Mimi woke up during the drive but couldn't do anything.
I woke up tied up with something stuck in my teeth. How dare they do this to Jack Bauer. When I should have been allowed to go and make a soufflé for the bake-off. And they don't understand. I fought and fought against these stupid ties whenever I remembered and could. Then these idiots stopped the car and the King of England came again and stuck a needle right through my heart and then nothing.
Damon got a second dose of something a little stronger on the way. They stopped the car and Damon went to give it to Mimi, too. He wanted to keep Mimi as rested as possible because his future wife was in bad enough shape without unnecessary shenanigans. Damon gave two more during the rest of the drive as Mimi just doggedly fought to wake herself up. Finally, they arrived in Chicago.
Mimi was kept asleep as they moved her downstairs. Samuel would have put them both in an incubator or preferably had Damon make a binder in a bag, but Damon decided no incubator and he's giving the teeth to neck treatment because the binder hurts and Mimi needs to be restrained, so it's better to have someone close to Mimi holding on than shackles.
Mimi was untied and Damon put Mimi on her back. Samuel cannulated the central line so that he could drip nutritional concentrates, and vitamins, and bump into Mimi. They would cut Mimi first and fill the gaps between her internal organs with the bump. Mimi was given new organs because her own had suffered too much from silver and malnutrition. After Mimi was operated on. Damon went to lie partially on top of her and put his teeth in her neck and let them take root. The draining began. Damon stopped every now and then, went to eat, and wash up. Then he kept going. When Mimi first woke up, she was lucid for maybe 10 seconds, then the next time for 30 seconds, a few minutes, 15 minutes. By the time all the silver and its effects wore off, Damon was drained of binders for 4 weeks. He had to physically lie on top of Mimi and hold her hands and hope that a dose of velvet would come soon because the binder felt like saw blades in a vein.
