In the middle of the night, Donna turns in bed and notices that Harvey's side is empty. She wakes up, aware that it's not an easy night for him, so it doesn't surprise her that he's not there. She gets up, puts on her robe, and peeks out of Harvey's condo bedroom to find him holding a glass of scotch, staring out the picture window. His entire demeanor radiates anguish—his shoulders hunched forward, his back twisted, his clenched fists, and his gaze lost in emptiness.

That image only tightens the knot of anguish and anger in Donna's chest. It deeply hurt her that Harvey had so little time to share with his mother after forgiving her. It feels incredibly unfair, and she wishes she could alleviate some of the pain she sees in his boyfriend.

Donna wipes away a tear and walks down the steps toward him, who still hasn't noticed her presence.

"Hey..." she murmurs when she's a little closer to him.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to wake you up," he says in a scratchy, pain-filled voice.

"You didn't wake me up. Not finding you in bed woke me up. I'm already used to turning around and having you there," she says, scratching behind his ear. He smiles sheepishly and closes his eyes, letting his head rest in her hand. "You look like you need a big hug, don't you?" she whispers, and he nods, allowing her body to envelop him, seeking a way for his larger frame to fit snugly against hers.

Donna holds him tightly and lovingly, rubbing his back and gently swaying him for a few minutes in silence, letting him cry as much as he needs.

"Thanks for being here," he sobs.

"Hey... I'll always be here, Harvey," she responds and kisses his forehead. "Always." He nods and cries even deeper. "Do you wanna go back to bed? I can hold you there, too." He nods, and she leads him back to the bedroom.

On the bed, Donna lies on her back, and Harvey collapses onto his stomach, covering more than half of her body. Donna wraps her limbs around him, embracing him fully.

Harvey clings to her with all his might, seeking solace. And Donna provides it, even if she feels like he's crushing her.
