Chapter 2: Starting out.

As Ford left his hotel room after straightening up after breakfast, he decided to go to the park area and meet up with the receptionist who was supposed to help him get the hang of using his Sonar.

It was a woman by the name of Bea Ginner, a name that Ford had to hold back a few chuckles at, and she actually looked really nice.

The woman seemed to be in her thirties and had blue eyes and sandy blonde hair. Her attire mainly consisted of a purple blouse, green sweater and purple skirt. Her figure seemed almost identical to that of the other receptionists he'd seen around the island.

'Do they share a workout regimen or something?" He wondered before shaking his head as he walked up to her. "Hello there. I just recently started my Fossil Fighter career and need to get a grip on using my Sonar." He said in a tone of greeting.

"Oh yes, Mr. Owen, right?" Bea nodded as she checked her schedule for a second. "Just follow me to the trial dig site, then we can go ahead and get started." She continued as they approached an open area of the park.

They approached what looked like an unofficial baseball field and Bea started going over the basics of how to use the Sonar.

"You can use the sonar to find any fossil rocks that are buried in the ground, but it can also pick up regular rocks, too." Bea explained. "I'll bury a few rocks around the site so you can find them with your Sonar." She added before she went around the field and buried a few fossil rocks with Ford closing his eyes so he couldn't see where exactly they were.

The purpose of the exercise would be defeated otherwise. After a bit, the boy then continued to use his Sonar to find rocks, following the pings and blips on his screen.

"Here's one!" He exclaimed as he struck the ground with his purple and black pickaxe.

After pulling it out of the ground, he moved on and found the other two without a single normal rock being unearthed. Bea noticed this and raised a question.

"You managed to upgrade your Sonar to filter out normal rocks in advance, didn't you?" She questioned with a smirk on her face.

"You got me. I did." Ford chuckled in reply.

"That's definitely not something I see very often." The woman noted. "Anyway, you can go ahead and get those fossils cleaned and revived. Then you can come back here when you're finished." She added. "You'll just need another trial dig before I certify you to go to the first dig site: Greenhorn Plains."

"Alright. I'll be back in about twenty minutes." The British man nodded before he went to the lab to get his fossils freed from their rocky prisons.

Meanwhile, Lee was heading to the Fossil Lawn to get started on his orientation, but before doing that, he decided to pop into the Fossil Guild to upgrade his sonar like Ford had.

"Hello there." The blue tipped man requested, almost sounding like Obi-Wan Kenobi. "I'd like to get my radar upgraded, please." He continued.

"Right-o! How much gold do you have so I can help see how many upgrades you can get?" He questioned.

"… One hundred thousand." The man replied.

"Alright, that'll cover a filter to exclude normal rocks and extend its range to its fullest." The worker nodded. "As well as both Dino Chip upgrades." He added.

"I'll take them all." Lee nodded as he gave the designated amount of gold.

"Pleasure doing business." The clerk nodded as the young man left.

After a short walk, he soon reached the Fossil Lawn where Bea Ginner was waiting for him. "Miss Bea Ginner, I presume?" He questioned.

"That's right. Are you here to get started on excavating new fossils?" The woman asked in reply.

"That I am." Lee nodded in affirmation. "Stanley Owen, but call me Lee." He continued as the two shook hands.

"Your brother was just here, and he upgraded his Fossil Radar. I'm just going to assume you did the same." The woman quipped.

"You'd be right. I did upgrade my radar." Lee confirmed. "Not fully, though." He added.

"Well go ahead and get started and come back to me when you're finished." The blonde told him.

"Will do." The boy nodded as he hefted his pickaxe and got to work.

-Fossil Center-

"Hey, I've been wondering." Peggy asked as she joined Ford on his way to the Fossil Center. "Why do you have mosquito amber earrings again?" She asked.

"Oh these?" The boy said, gesturing to two Fossilized insects on his ears. "They were a loving gift from my old friends back in the paleontology camp back in college." He continued. "They thought this'd be better than a piece of jewelry I could lose." He added.

"I guess that's true." The woman nodded. "Plus, they look good on you." She added with a chirp in her voice.

"Thanks, sweetie." Ford smiled as they walked through the lab's front door.

"Did it hurt when they pierced your ears though?" The redhead asked.

"No, actually. Because I had wisely fortified myself with six mugs of Billow Maiden's ale!" The boy replied as they walked into the revival room. "Got so inebriated that I actually tried to convince them to put it in my nipples instead!" He continued with a laugh. "Almost talked them into it too! Can you imagine? 'Ford of the amber teats'!" He added with another laugh.

"Oh for the–!" Peggy started before she broke down in laughter, the image of Ford with the most ridiculous ornaments on his nipples being too much for her to stay standing at.

However, as the two were laughing, they failed to notice that they were not alone in the room–though a person clearing their throat quickly brought that fact to their attention.

"As… amusing as your story is, Dr. Diggins is waiting in the lab for you." The receptionist told them.

"Oh. Okay." The two shrugged as they went to where the scientist was… and saw a robot waiting with him.

"Ah, good! You're here!" The scatterbrained man exclaimed upon seeing them come through the door.

"Hey doc. I got some fossils I need to clean." Ford said, holding up his case.

"Excellent! Let's get started then!" Diggins nodded before gesturing to a robot next to him. "This is KL-33, he's a cleaning companion." He added.

"Hello. I look forward to fossil cleaning." The robot buzzed.

"He's relatively new, so he'll be watching you clean fossils and store them." Diggins explained before chuckling. "After a while, you might as well leave all the cleaning to him!" He added with a grin.

"Seems like a fair deal." The boy nodded. "Alright. Let's get started." He added as he set his first fossil rock down to begin cleaning.

After doing a quick X-Ray flash to see what the outline of the fossil was, and seeing that it was a carnivore skull, Ford set about breaking away the outer layer of the rock and leaving the inner layers for his drill. KL-33 made a few comments and voiced some concerns about how he handled the cleaning process, but he paid them no mind, opting to commit his focus to cleaning up this skull fossil.

When the one minute was up, the skull was completely cleaned and didn't have a chip or scratch on it.

"One hundred percent! A smashing success!" The tin automaton beeped. "This is a Spinax (Head) Fossil. You haven't revived this Vivosaur–Commencing Revival!" He added with a buzz as the machine sprang to life.

A few moments later, Spinax emerged and looked around. It was in the shape of a T-Rex, but colored black and green with yellow eyes. The most notable thing were the spines on its back.

Though Ford's had one notable difference, it had what looked like green and black speckles all over its body.

"A Spinaxia, now that's interesting." Ford noted as it walked out of the chamber and in front of him.

"*Yawn* Did you wake me up?" The dinosaur questioned groggily as it let out a cavernous yawn, his voice reminding the lad of a shepherd he met in the Highlands.

"Yeah. That was me. Welcome back to the land of the living." Ford replied.

"Uh, why are you talking like you can understand the Vivosaur?" Peggy asked in confusion, having not been told about Ford's odd trait yet.

"Oh right, I can understand what Vivosaurs are saying." The Essex resident explained as Spinax retreated to his medal. "Don't ask me how I do it, I have no idea." He added.

"Fair enough." The woman shrugged in acceptance as Ford placed the next fossil where it needed to be for cleaning.

The process continued as before but this time, he ended up getting a Shanshan this time, which was a member of the Tyrannosaurid family.

"Huh?" The Shanshan uttered with a female voice as she woke up and looked around before her eyes landed on Ford… and perked up before she jumped on him and started licking his face happily, causing him to laugh. "Yay! A new friend!" She cheered joyfully.

"Easy girl, hey!" The man laughed as he got back up. "It's nice to meet you too." He nodded as she purred and went into her medal. Ford then looked at his new Vivosaurs and tried to think of names for them. "Hmm, I think I'll call you Macbeth. And I'll call you Evie." He hummed, looking at his new Spinax and Shanshan respectively.

"Those sound like good names." Peggy commented before she giggled. "I think Evie's gonna be prone to licking your face every time you call her out." She added.

"Yes, that was rather amusing." Diggins chimed in with a chuckle.

Ford grinned as he pulled his girlfriend in close, causing her to squeak a bit as she was pressed against him. "Don't you get jealous of her now." He told her teasingly.

"Oh hush." The auburn haired lass huffed playfully as the two of them left the lab. As they walked out of the building, the door opened and it could easily be seen that the two were sharing another kiss. "Mmmm, so, want to join me on a jog back to your place? Winner gets to choose the orders for room service." She offered as they pulled away.

"You're on." Ford grinned before he ran off.

"Hey! There was supposed to be a countdown, you cheater!" Peggy laughed as she took off after him.

Meanwhile back at the Fossil Lawn, Lee was still digging up fossils, but stopped when the fossils he got were repeats.

"Alright. That's about it." Bea told him. "You'll need to come here one more time before I can green light you to go to the first dig site: Greenhorn Plains." She continued.

"Alright. I guess I'll head to the Fossil Center to deal with these." Lee nodded as he looked at his fossil selection.

He was able to find some raptor parts that included torso, arm and leg fossils for V while also finding a skull for a U-Raptor, and skull fossils for a Spinax and ShanShan.

"See you later!" Bea called.

(Elsewhere)

In the second floor room of one Stanford Owen, the young man fell on the couch with a towel draped around his shoulders and a bottle of complimentary Icelandic Bottled Water from his room's mini fridge.

He'd also taken off his shirt due to him working up a sweat after having beaten his Olympic level runner girlfriend, Peggy, in a foot race to said room.

The girl herself sat next to him, a towel draped around her shoulders too as she tried to let her body relax.

"If I knew you were that fast in advance, then racing you would be even more fun." She remarked.

"I trained myself to handle harsh conditions before coming here. Especially since part of this island has a volcano, desert, and glacier on top of plains, forests, ocean bay and a canyon." The paleo fanatic explained while his girlfriend took off her shirt as the AC kicked on.

Her breasts bounced as the sports bra they were contained in was pulled up, and from her shoulders to her chest, neck, down to her stomach, beads of sweat slid down her glistening skin.

The buxom redhead sighed in relief as she gulped down some water, her voluptuous lips wrapping around the bottles head like a baby's would, her swallows also seemed unintentionally erotic–as they reminded Ford of when she gave him that blow job.

'... Fuck me.' The boy thought nervously with a gulp, his throat becoming dry, causing him to drink more water.

The universe must've been fucking around, because the water didn't seem to ease his thirst all that well. And the more he kept looking at Peggy, the more his thirst grew.

The girl soon finished her own water and set it down with a satisfied sigh. "Ah~! That's better." She breathed as she laid back, before she noticed that Ford was downing his water even faster–before he slid in closer to her. "I accidentally got you going, didn't I?" She asked, realizing what she'd just done.

"Kinda." Ford replied before kissing her.

Peggy couldn't help but sigh contently as she melted into the kiss, the two of them slowly laying down on the couch and Ford started getting them more comfortable by removing their shorts.

He then pressed a button on the room remote and then the coffee table slid backwards as the couch folded out into a bed, complete with sheets and a couple pillows. Definitely one of the best parts of any hotel when there was only one bedroom.

The couple quickly escalated their makeout session as their clothes went flying all over the place, the AC doing nothing to disperse the sexual tension.

If anything it just made everything more steamy.

"Come on, darling." The runner purred as she hugged her legs around his waist. "Stop staring at me and fuck me–Fuck me hard." She added in an ordering tone.

"As you wish!" Ford growled as he flipped his girlfriend on her back and slammed into her, causing her to gasp.

"Oh fuck, yes!" Peggy moaned as he started hammering her.

They were gonna be busy for a while.

(Elsewhere)

Meanwhile with Lee, he was hard at work in the Fossil Center getting his new fossils free of their prisons, which was taking a while. He had already gotten V's new body parts cleaned off, and now he was working on his U-Raptor, Spinax and ShanShan fossils.

Moments later, three new Vivosaurs came out of the revival chamber, and walked straight towards him.

"Did you revive us?" The Spinax questioned.

"That I did, friend." The Raptor loving man nodded in reply. "You wanna take on challenges together, you three?" He questioned.

"I will." The Spinax nodded.

"As will I." U-Raptor nodded.

"Me too." The ShanShan agreed.

"Welcome to the team then, Augustus, Volt and Elsie." Lee nodded, naming the Spinax, U-Raptor and ShanShan in that order.

(Elsewhere)

Meanwhile with Ford and Peggy, one romp in the sheets—that got them a call from the front desk—later, and the couple was now having the room service lunch that was promised to whoever won the race.

Specifically they ordered a bottle of champagne, an order of truffle fries (Parmigiano dusted), Lobster BLT sliders, Seared Beef Carpaccio, some Marinated Baby Beets, and an Arugula Salad.

Additionally they also had a dessert arriving later.

"Champagne and room service after getting my brains fucked into puddy, Ford my love, you absolutely spoil me. " Peggy sighed as she laid next to her boyfriend, both of them still naked and under the covers.

"My mom raised me right like that." The man chuckled as he held his fast lover close.

"I can tell." The redhead giggled in reply. "Though I do wonder…" She hummed, walking two fingers up his chest before resting her arm around his shoulders. "Just how am I, a single woman, going to tame that animalistic sex drive of yours?" She wondered aloud, popping a truffle fry into her mouth.

"I dunno, you seem to be doing just fine to me." Ford chuckled in reply.

"You flatter me.." The runner purred as she took another sip of champagne. "I guess I don't have anything to worry about." She added with a purr whilst both of them enjoyed their food.

"True." The young Wales native nodded as he and his girlfriend continued to enjoy their day in bed. Both of them were glad that they had put the Do not Disturb tag on the door.

(Elsewhere)

Meanwhile, back with Lee, the taller of the two sighed as he tossed his Dino medal in the air and caught it as he laid on his bed… His thoughts slowly drifted back to the beautiful blonde woman he met before, Duna.

"What kind of person are you, and why do you have the same necklace as mom…?" He wondered to himself, turning over as he set Volt's medal on the nightstand, before falling asleep.

(The next day)

The following day, after having breakfast at the hotel, the couple then decided to start heading out to Greenhorn Plains to dig up some new fossils. Peggy seemed to have a bit of a limp in her step, however, but that wasn't stopping her.

"Oooh, I still can barely feel my hips." The girl groaned as they arrived at the dock.

"You did kinda ask for it. You can always get a bit of a break on the boat, though." Ford told her as they boarded their boat and took their seats.

"That does little to help my aching cervix." The redhead sighed as she and Ford sat down. "Hey, when were you going to tell me that you knew Holt McJunker?" She asked.

"Huh? Oh, I guess it kinda slipped my mind." The boy shrugged as he recalled when he first met the young man on the Fossil Lawn.

-Flashback-

Ford was busy finishing up his trial digs at the Fossil Lawn, until he noticed that someone was doing the same.

It was another young man with a lighter skin tone than his own in a black shirt with yellow sleeves, black pants and red shoes. He also had a pair of yellow archaeologist gloves and a pit hat with a red bandana around his neck. He currently was excavating with his personal pickaxe.

"Oi, mate! You finishing up your time here too?" The Welsh boy called to his fellow Fossil Hunter across the field.

"Yeah. Same time as you, I guess." The boy replied as he turned to Ford, revealing that he had hazel-blue eyes.

As the two approached each other, they both removed their gloves, before shaking hands.

"I'm Holt, Holt McJunker. I'm here on an apprenticeship with my uncle who happens to work here." The blonde explained as they shook hands.

"Stanford Owen, Fossil Fighter. But please, call me Ford." The black and purple haired teen stated. "You sound like you're from across the pond, mate. Anywhere in particular? New Jersey, Chicago, New York…?" He asked.

"Brooklyn, actually." Holt replied. "You?" He questioned.

"Wales, but I was living in Essex during my time at university with my twin brother Stanley." Ford replied. "He's probably sleeping in again." He added.

"Huh, fancy that." Holt mused. "Aimin' to be a Fossil Fighter, too, are you?" He asked.

"Wouldn't be here if I wasn't." For shrugged.

"Well, I'm guessing you probably started out with only one Vivosaur, right? But grow your roster." The blonde noted.

"Yeah. I got three right now." Ford nodded.

"Well, would you like to try them out in a two on two Battle?" Holt asked.

"You're on." The Welsh boy grinned as he brought out his team. "William, MacBeth, show them what you're made of!" He yelled as he sent out his T-Rex and Spinax.

"Bring it!" Holt yelled as he sent out his own vivosaurs, which were an Igua and a V-Raptor.

"Huh, that's Interesting." Ford hummed as he looked at the team in front of him. "Hmm…" He added.

"Wow, that's an odd looking T-Rex " Holt whistled in surprise. "And you name them too? So do I." He added, looking at his Vivosaurs. "Meet Adam and Odin." He told him.

"Well then, let's see who's the better fighter." Ford grinned as they got ready to battle.

-Flashback End-

"You guys had a vivosaur battle against each other when you first met?" Peggy asked with a blink.

"Yep, and he actually almost managed to beat me." Ford nodded, a look of reminiscence on his face.

"Wow." The girl uttered in surprise.

As they continued their conversation, the boat pulled into the dock at the first dig site Greenhorn Plains. And after stepping off, Peggy yawned as she stretched a bit while pulling out her pickaxe.

"You going to look for more Vivosaurs?" He asked.

"No, other body parts for the ones I already have." His girlfriend explained. "I've been here a bit longer than you if you remember." She added.

"Oh yeah. Well, let's get digging." Ford said before the two went to different parts of the plain and started digging up fossil rocks.

(Elsewhere)

Meanwhile back with Lee at the Fossil Lawn, he was in the process of wrapping up his orientation digs, and as he gathered up the rocks he managed to find—and something caught his eye.

It was Duna, and she seemed to be looking for some fossils with her own radar.

"Duna?" The young man questioned as he approached the girl in question, managing to get her attention.

"Oh, hello Lee. I didn't expect to see you here." The blonde commented.

"I think I should be telling you that." The boy responded as he walked towards her, his gaze slowly drifting to her necklace again.

"Is something wrong?" Duna questioned, noticing that his gaze was lingering on her amulet.

"That necklace of yours, it looks exactly like my mothers." Lee told her. "Was she part of some kind of group that you're from, or is it something more?" He questioned.

This caused Duna's eyes to widen and her body to stiffen slightly as she rubbed her thumb over her amulet. "Um… What was your mother's name, exactly?" She questioned.

"Sinmara. Sinmara Owen, though most people—including our dad—just called her Mara." The boy replied. "It's a Scandinavian name." He continued.

"That's an… interesting name." Duna commented hesitantly. "I just picked up my necklace from a store before I arrived on this island." She added.

"Oh." Lee mused as he deflated. "I was hoping you'd know something about her. She's disappeared and my brother and I are trying to find her." He explained.

"Your brother?" Duna questioned.

"Stanford Owen, but we just call him Ford. He has our mom's necklace." He told her. "We're twins." He added.

"Are you sure? I caught a glimpse of him before, and you two don't look identical to me." The blonde commented with a raised eyebrow.

"I inherited my dad's tall genes." Lee explained with a shrug.

"Well, that certainly explains it." The blonde nodded.

"By the way, what kind of fossils are you looking for around here?" The blue tipped man questioned.

"Just something that can help me be able to battle consistently." The woman shrugged.

"Fair enough." The taller twin conceded with a nod. "Want some help?" He offered.

"No thank you." Duna replied, shaking her head. "But I wouldn't mind having a brief Fossil Battle as practice." She amended.

"I'm game." Lee nodded with a smirk as he brought out Volt, V and Augustus.

"Alright then." Duna nodded as she brought out her own medals.

(Elsewhere)

-Greenhorn Plains-

Meanwhile back with Ford and Peggy, the two were still busy digging. As they tried to get more Fossil Rocks, they soon came across a familiar face as he was examining two large rocks. One being brown like that of sandstone, and another being Grey like granite or iron ore.

It was Holt, and he seemed to be debating what to do, before he shrugged and just went back to digging.

"Hey, Holt!" Ford called, getting his old friend's attention.

"Ford!" The hazel eyed boy smiled as he walked up to his friend and shared a Predator handshake with him. "Finally got to the rest of Vivosaur Island, did ya?!" He grinned.

"Well, I was finishing my time at the Fossil Lawn." The young man shrugged. "This is Peggy, by the way. My girlfriend." He explained, gesturing to the redhead beside him.

"Seriously? When did you two get together?" Holt asked with a blink.

"A couple of days ago, but we clicked together real well almost right away, so we decided to hook up." Peggy replied.

"What're you trying to do?" Ford asked.

"Huh? Oh. I was just testing these rocks." The blonde explained, before gesturing to the two stones. "These light colored ones are apparently destructible, and the gray ones are indestructible." He explained.

"Indestructible, or just can't be broken by our pickaxes?" Ford asked with doubt in his voice.

"I haven't tested that far yet." Holt admitted. Nodding, Ford walked up to the gray rock and made several mock jabs at it before…

"Hiiii-YA!" He yelled, punching down on the rock where there was already a suitable crack–and caused it to split down the middle.

"... Damn, that was awesome!" Peggy exclaimed, mouth agape.

"Thanks, I take lessons in several martial arts and work out pretty regularly." Ford told her before he started sifting through the broken rock. "Oh fuck yeah! 200G!" He cheered.

"Whoa, seriously?! They have that high a yield?!" Holt asked as he and Peggy walked over to look at the find. "Damn, that's a lot of cash! Hey, maybe you can set yourself up to be hired to break these things on the side." He suggested.

"Yeah, maybe." The boy nodded tightly before he turned around and let out a silent hiss of pain as he shook his hand–the pain catching up to him.

"Pain?" The redhead asked, spotting the silent hiss.

"Pain." Her boyfriend confirmed.

"Well, now that that's out of the way, I should get moving. Happy digging!" Holt told the two before walking away from the dig site.

"Yeah… Come on, let's keep digging." The boy nodded as the two continued to look for and dig up more fossils.

(Elsewhere)

Meanwhile, back with Lee and Duna, the taller boy had Volt and Augustus in the SZ and V in the AZ, the former two's support effects bolstering the raptor's own body.

Duna, meanwhile, had a Delta and two Zinos, the latter two in the SZ and Delta in the AZ. It seemed an odd team, Lee noted. As Zino wasn't exactly the best Vivosaur.

"V, use Veloci-claw on Delta." The tall man ordered, and V carried out his order with the same speed he showed in his application for his license. When his V-Raptor recovered, however, he was shaking his hands as if to dull some pain.

"Odd, that I feel like I slashed metal." He commented with a hiss.

'Slashed metal?' Lee wondered with a raised eyebrow. "That is weird." The boy sighed.

"Delta, use Delta bite." The blonde told her vivosaur, prompting the dinosaur to do so at V, but the V-Raptor was able to rather nimbly jump out of the way.

"Follow that up with Lethal Poison!" Lee ordered. V immediately landed said attack on one of the Zinos, causing them to be afflicted… Or rather, it should've been. It seemed immune to the attack entirely.

'Okay, something isn't right here…' The Raptor lover though, narrowing his eyes in suspicion. No Vivosaur should be immune to Lethal Poison, but Duna's were. Something wasn't adding up…

"Your vivosaurs are quite powerful." Duna noted.

"And yours are… Surprisingly resilient." Lee noted as he tried to devise a strategy to deal with this.

(Elsewhere)

About an hour of walking and searching later, the duo soon came to the other end of the plains, which was a dead end which was separated by a fence.

"I guess that's it." Peggy sighed, patting her bag full of fossil rocks.

"Hold on, take a look at that." The Paleo fanatic told her, pointing at a Fossil Center assistant who was standing in front of the gate to the quartered part of the site. "Wonder what that's all about?" He wondered aloud.

"Let's check it out." The redhead beckoned as she walked towards the site, Ford following her.

As they approached the gate, Ford noted that the man guarding it looked to be in his forties, with graying brown hair, green Lambeosaurus eyes, and was wearing a gray suit with a baby blue tie, a badge marking his position on his lapel.

"Hello there. Beyond this point, you will find rare and extraordinary fossils that you can't hope to find elsewhere." The man said. Ford noticed something off about him but ignored it.

"Okay, guess that explains the whole fence deal…" Peggy noted.

"Though to avoid damaging these unique finds, I'll have to ask that you hand over your Dino Medals, at least for the time being." The man stated. The couple regarded him with suspicion, especially since he sounded somewhat shady when he said that.

"... Fine." Ford relented, handing over his medals with Peggy doing the same. The two were then allowed to enter the site, and decided to look around and see what they could unearth…

Which was absolutely nothing. Ford's upgraded radar wasn't even picking up any fossil rocks in the ground.

"I'm not picking up anything. What the hell's going on?" He wondered.

"I thought my radar picked up a few fossil rocks, but they were just normal ones." Peggy nodded with a frown.

As they continued searching, the two bumped into a few people along the way, complaining about similar issues about this "exclusive" dig site.

"I have a weird feeling about this site. The guy at the gate said that there were rare and exotic Fossils here." One young fighter said. "All I seem to find is junk." He added.

"This place doesn't feel like a dig site. I actually pulled out a tin can once, and a shoe!" Another exclaimed, feeling cheated. "What's next? A tire?! Sheesh!" He questioned, trying another spot.

And as if the universe wanted to screw with the kid even more…

"Oh fuck off!" The boy cursed as he threw his hat on the ground.

"I can't seem to find anything good." Another sighed.

"I smell a rat." Peggy growled with narrowed eyes.

"And we all know how we feel about vermin." Ford growled in agreement.

The two immediately made their way back to the entrance of the apparent fake site, but found that the assistant had vanished.

"Oh bloody hell, you've gotta be fuckin' kidding me–!" Ford groaned before something caught his eye.

It was a glimmer on the ground. Investigating, he saw that it was his and Peggy's dino medals after a quick check to confirm that they were theirs.

"Why are our medals on the ground? What's goin' on here?!" The redhead wondered in irritation at being duped like she was. Before Ford could respond…

"Are you fucking kidding me?!" A new voice yelled angrily, prompting them to turn to the owner.

The girl in question looked to be about their age, and looked like she could pass for a cone of cotton candy.

She was dressed in a formal pink shirt with a teal blue tie that was covered by a darker pink sweater, brown gloves, an equally pink skirt, white hiking boots, and a matching pink safari hat that had a teal band.

Her appearance seemed to fit her attire, bubblegum pink hair tied in pigtails with a pair of baby blue eyes that were framed by long eyelashes and expensive mascara, porcelain skin, and a fairly attractive figure. She had a pair of shapely legs with wide hips, a C-cup rack and a Plumb shaped ass that jiggled every time she walked.

"Where the hell did that swindler go?! He stole my vivosaur medals!" She growled, seething.

"No idea there, lass. But he left mine and my girlfriend's medals behind." The Welshman replied.

This got the girl's attention. "What?! How? Why?" She questioned before walking up to him and snatching his medals. "Huh, oh now I get it. Your Vivosaurs are low rank. So they're probably really weak." She added, much to Ford's chagrin.

'Alright, it's only been ten seconds and I'm already up to my tits with this strawberry tart!' The boy growled mentally, his fists clenching at her attitude. Peggy's response to that, however…

"Are you just writing our Vivosaurs off for bein' low level, ya slag?!" The redhead barked indignantly.

"What did you just call me?!" The girl snapped, turning around as the two stomped towards each other, their breasts pressing against each other.

"Yeah, ya heard me ya strawberry tart, whatcha gonna do a'bout it?" Peggy snapped, her Scottish accent slipping through, fully this time.

'Wait, that's her Scottish accent?' Ford thought as his girlfriend started arguing with the Pinkette in an angry Scottish Brogue. 'Oh fuck, now I'm really in love with her.' He added mentally.

"Why you–!" The pink snob started to snap before schooling herself. "We don't have time for this! We need to catch that stupid thief! Come on!" She exclaimed before she started dragging the redhead along.

"Whaddya think ya doin' ya–whoa!" The redhead gasped as the girl dragged her away.

"Hey! Get back here with my girlfriend!" Ford yelled after her, chasing them.

(Elsewhere)

Back with Lee and Duna, V managed to take out the blonde's Delta, right before he was taken out by the first Zino, only for Volt to take it out with U-Toxin—and then taken out by the second Zino.

All the while, his Vivosaurs complained about feeling like they were slashing at metal whenever they did any physical attacks, which was painful for them. Lee was fully convinced something was amiss by this point.

Now the match was down to just Augustus and the second Zino on Duna's team.

"Augustus, bite that sucker with Spinax Fang!" He ordered, and his Spinax did his job well. However, Lee noticed that a chunk of flesh was torn off the opposing Zino… Or rather, it should've been flesh. The tall twin was able to catch a glimpse of wiring in the opposing Vivosaur. 'What the fuck?' The boy thought in confusion.

"Zino, use Heartless Fury." Duna ordered evenly.

The Zino did as ordered and struck Augustus, striking him with claw slashes, a spinning attack, and then a blast of… Lee wasn't sure if it was fire energy or a freaking laser, taking the Spinax out of the match and earning Duna a victory. Lee couldn't really bring himself to feel bummed out about it since what he learned about the blonde's team was at the forefront of his mind.

"Seems I win." The girl said as she bowed respectfully.

"That you did. Well fought." Lee nodded as he returned the gesture.

"Yes, and forgive me for leaving so abruptly, but I have something that I need to address." The blonde told him before she began to walk off, but stopped when she noticed that Lee's cheek was bleeding. "Here." She said as she wiped his cheek with a handkerchief. "It looks like a piece of debris cut your cheek." She added.

"… Thanks." He told her as she walked away, leaving him alone with his thoughts.

Now that he was alone, a thoughtful frown grew on his face.

'My Vivosaurs complained about feeling like they were slashing at metal, Duna's team seemed immune to poison and I saw wiring coming from her last Zino.' He mused mentally as he started analyzing what he'd learned. 'She must be using robots with some kind of disguise to keep herself from arousing suspicion. But why, though? Why all the secrecy?' He wondered.

(Later)

After cleaning his new fossils and upgrading his team with them, Lee then went to the docks to go to Greenhorn Plains, and saw someone getting off the boat.

It was Holt, but Lee didn't know him.

"Oh hey, Ford. Didn't think you'd be here so quick." Holt said as he walked towards Lee, before he got closer and noticed the differences. "Oh, sorry. Thought you were someone else." He apologized.

"It's not uncommon for me to get mistaken for my little twin at a distance." Lee shrugged, having long since grown used to that mistake being made.

"Twin? Who even are you?" Holt questioned with a blink.

"Stanley Owen, but I prefer Lee." The blue tipped man replied.

"Stanford, Stanley, not very original." Holt noted dryly.

"We're named after a famous T-Rex skeleton in the isles." Lee told him. "Now you are…?" He asked.

"Holt McJunker." The boy replied, getting a snort from Lee. "What?" He questioned.

"I don't know why, but the name "McJunker" just makes me laugh." Lee replied with a small grin. "Don't take it personally, though." He added quickly.

"Sure thing, Stanley." The blonde chuckled.

"Hey…" Lee chuckled as he sighed. "Speakin' o' Ford, you seen him everywhere?" He questioned.

"I saw him and his girlfriend Peggy in Greenhorn Plains, last I checked." Holt replied.

"Guess I better go catch up with him." Lee nodded. "Well, see you later Holt." He added as he walked away.

"See ya!" Holt called back.

(Later)

Lee sighed as he picked up new rock after new rock, and stored any old ones so he could sell them. When he was done, he decided to head back and see what his fossil rocks held.

As he went, though, he came across a shady looking merchant.

"Hey kid, c'mere." The figure said, gesturing for him to come over.

He was tall, lanky, and fair skinned with green eyes and pointed features. He was wearing a red shirt, purple vest, blue shorts and cowboy boots.

"I'm not a kid." Lee deadpanned, but walked up to him all the same.

"Name's Joe. I deal fully functional Dino Medals." The man said, tossing a medal up. "Want one? They need a good home." He offered.

Lee immediately knew something was up. A medal dealer? Fat chance on that; more like he was looking at a medal thief that ripped off people and sold the medals to other people. Still…

"This much gold for ten." The blue tipped man told him as he pulled 1000 gold. He figured that if these were stolen, then he'd be able to take the medals and give them back to their original (and rightful) owner.

"You got it." Joe nodded as he gave the medals to him.

"Thanks." Lee nodded as he walked away.

Back with Ford, Peggy and their new acquaintance Rosie…

"Whoa! Whoa lassie! Whoooa! Ah said whoa, ya mad trolley!" Peggy yelled as she dug her heels into the concrete of the main docks of Vivosaur Island before using her pick handle to bonk the girl on the head, causing her to stop and rub the bump that formed. "When Ah say whoa, Ah mean whoa!" She snapped, her mixed Scottish/Welsh accent fully on display now.

"We're wasting time here! We need to catch the thief!" The still unnamed pinky protested.

"Not… *Pant* *Pant* Before… *Wheeze* You, apologize!" Ford gasped as he struggled to catch his breath. "Oh man, I need my–." He stated before he pulled out an inhaler from his satchel and breathed in.

Ford had asthma, but due to him exercising and keeping up a generally healthy lifestyle, he rarely used his rescue inhaler. Additionally, due to his training, his lungs were much sturdier than an average guy his age with his condition. So this should go to show just how difficult it was to keep up with the two girls.

"But–!" The pinky tried to protest.

"No buts, ya pushy little cunt!" Peggy snapped in displeasure. "Ya just made my boyfriend run a marathon to keep up with us, so start! Fuckin'! Apologizin'!" She added in a commanding tone.

This made the girl clam up almost immediately, and meanwhile, Beth and Sue both looked at each other–deciding to stay out of the situation to avoid making it worse.

"Uh…. Um… S-Sorry." The Pinkette stuttered before squeaking out an apology.

"Thank you." Ford sighed, his asthma now under control. "Now that the bullshit is out of the way, let's head to the police station and report what's happened." He added as he started walking.

"Yeah, before Ah lose my fuckin' marbles." Peggy nodded as they started heading towards the police station, her accent returning to normal as she calmed down.

"Right…" The Pinkette nodded as she walked behind them.

"By the way, Peggy." Ford whispered as they walked. "You never told me that you were part Scottish." He whispered.

"I didn't wanna cause any possible discomfort." The redhead whispered back in slight embarrassment, only to jump a bit when she felt her man's hand pinch her ass.

"Please. I find that husky accent of yours hot." He told her in a whisper. "Plus, you're kinda sexy when you're angry. Did you know that?" He added.

"Oh piss of ya wankah!" The girl laughed, pushing him a bit–her accent coming in again–causing the pink haired girl behind them to look at them in confusion.

'What're they talking about?' She wondered to herself.

(Later)

After walking to the guild area, the trio made their way to the police station to see the chief.

"Ay, officer! We have a problem to report!" Ford said as he walked up to the front desk.

"What's the matter?" The officer asked.

"I had my dino medals stolen!" The pink fossil fighter exclaimed in dismay.

"We have been getting reports of vivosaur medal peddling lately. Someone's been selling stolen vivosaur medals, probably the same thief." He said.

"In any case. We need to speak with Captain Bullwort, is he in?" The Pinkette questioned.

"He's just in his office, to the left " The officer directed, pointing at said office.

"Thankya, sir." Peggy told him, but covered her mouth as soon as she noticed that her accent slipped again. "Shite." She hissed.

"Like I said, I like it." Ford told her as the three of them walked into the office to speak with the man in charge.

Said man in charge was a largely built officer in a blue uniform with brown hair and a mustache and mutton chops. Additionally he also had a seemingly perpetual smile.

And like with the guy from Greenhorn Plains, Ford felt something was off, but couldn't figure it out.

"Hello there, you three. What seems to be the problem?" Bullwort asked. "Oh no wait, don't tell me. Let me guess: someone stole your Dino Cakes." He offered, causing Ford to facepalm and the girls to faceplant.

'Where does this guy think we are? Skyrim?!' Ford thought incredulously.

"Hardly! Someone stole my dino medals!" The girl snapped.

"Yea! And what's worse, this crumpet's been draggin' me and my sweetie all ovah kingdom come for it!" Peggy added, not even bothering to hold back her usual Scottish/Welsh slang at this point.

"Ladies, ladies, please. Let's calm down for a second he–." Ford started to say in a placating manner.

"Put a cork in it!" The two women snapped, whipping their heads around.

This made the lad clam up as he held his hands up defensively, backing up from them. 'Me and my big mouth…' He thought.

Thankfully, the police chief decided to step in.

"Ladies, calm down. Tell me what the thief looked like and I'll see if I can put a search team together to find him." Bullwort told them.

"He looked like he was in his forties." Ford said before the two girls could start bickering again. "He also had green eyes like a lambeosaurus. He was wearing a Fossil Center uniform." He added.

"Hmmm, this may be more difficult than I thought." The man hummed to himself as he stroked his chin.

"What?! But I had ten Dino medals! I was getting them ready for my Level Up battle this week!" The pinkette whined.

'Why the hell does she have ten?" Ford and Peggy thought in unison, both raising an eyebrow.

"Hmmm…" Bullwort hummed as he pondered something. "Perhaps you could try seeing if the thief, or perhaps someone he sold them to, took your medals to the Fossil Stadium to try them out?" He suggested.

"Sounds like a plan. We'll head over there and see if that's the case." The boy nodded.

"Yeah!" Let's go!" The pinkette exclaimed before realizing something. "Oh, I forgot to tell you two my name! I'm Rosetta Richmond, but call me Rosie." She added, finally giving her name.

"Wait, Richmond?" Ford questioned. "As in Alexander Richmond? The guy who owns this whole bloody island?" He added.

"You're related to him?" Peggy gasped.

"He's my grandfather, yeah." Rosie nodded.

"... Holy crap." The Wales native uttered with wide eyes.

"Well that would explain why you were so frantic about gettin' ya medals back." The Scottish redhead mused.

"Yeah, I don't like making him worry." She nodded.

"Well Rosie, my name is Stanford Owen." The boy introduced himself. "But my friends call me Ford." He added.

"And I'm Margaret Carter, but you can call me Peggy." Peggy added, her normal voice finally returning.

"Well, it's nice to meet you both." Rosie beamed back, her body bouncing as she smiled.

"Right. Anyway, let's head to the Fossil Arena and see what we can find." Ford beckoned as he started making his way out of the station, the two girls in tow.

(Later)

The trio soon arrived at the Fossil Stadium and were now currently debating on who should go into the stadium to fight first to try and find Rosie's medals. Rosie couldn't for obvious reasons, but Ford wasn't sure about doing it because William and his other Vivosaurs weren't too keen on getting involved in this fiasco.

"You already allowed us to be fooled once. I'd rather not have it happen twice." William had stated.

"It's nothing personal, lad. We're just being cautious." MacBeth added.

"Please don't take it the wrong way." Evie pleaded.

So, it unfortunately fell to Peggy and her Vivosaurs.

"Alright then. Let's crack down on an idiot." The redhead said as she popped her neck.

"Hey, look!" Rosie exclaimed, pointing to the other side of the arena. "That guy has my medals, the rat! Those aren't my best ones, so you should be able to take him down easily." She added.

But upon further examination, Peggy and Ford nearly blew a gasket when they saw who was in the area, as they knew the guy!

"Wait, is that…?" Peggy said, looking at Ford.

"Oh fuck all kinds of duck…" The Welshman groaned.

"Lee?!" The two exclaimed, getting Rosie's attention.

"You know that rat?!" She questioned.

"He's not a thrice damned rat, Rosie; he's my twin brother!" Ford snapped with a glare.

"Well what's he doing with my medals?!" The hotheaded pinkette demanded.

"Knowing him, he bought them so he could give them back to their owner. He's done that before so he wouldn't cause a scene." The younger Essex boy stated.

"Before?" Peggy questioned.

"He once bought a dog off a guy in Cardiff because he recognized it from a poster he saw at home in Swansea that went missing." Ford explained. "And after that, he returned the pup to her rightful owner, a girl who lived in our neighborhood who was distraught from her disappearance." He added.

"So what you're saying is he bought my medals to do something that's in character for him?" Rosie summed up.

"Yeah, basically." Ford nodded with a shrug.

"Oh. Well, I guess he has a heart of gold, then." The pinkette scoffed, still pretty pissed about the situation.

"But he'll just use his own team rather than your Vivosaurs, so you're probably gonna have a serious fight on your hands, my pearl." The purple eyed man stated, looking at his lover.

"Don't worry. I won't knock his socks off too hard." The redhead quipped with a grin.

"No, but since he's basically like me, he'll likely knock yours off hard." Ford deadpanned, knowing his brother appropriately well.

"Darling, whether in battle or in bed, you're the only one who can knock me off my feet." The Scottish girl smiled, kissing his cheek. "I think I'll be fine." She said as she walked off to face Lee in the stadium.

"… Was she serious?" Rosie questioned, looking at the Welshman.

"Yep, and so was I." The purple eyed boy replied flatly. "I wanna have faith in my girlfriend, but I also know my brother well. It comes with the territory of being related to him." He added.

"Not what I was referring to." The pinkette said. "She said that either in battle or in bed, you're the only one who can knock her out. What's that supposed to mean?" She questioned.

"I screwed her brains out, several times." Ford replied bluntly.

"Do you have to be so blunt about that?!" Rosie squeaked with a massive blush on her face.

"Hey, you're the one who asked." He shrugged.

(Elsewhere)

Peggy sighed as she stepped into the ring. As she did so, she then took three medals out. "Virginia, Utah, Memphis, come on!" She called as a V-Raptor, U-Raptor, and M-Raptor appeared on the field.

Her V-Raptor had a white and blue body with white stripes on the sides, yellow scaled feet with one claw for gripping on each foot, long feathers on its back and head, and amber colored eyes with slitted irises. Though hers also had eyelashes, meaning it was probably female.

Her U-Raptor had a red and yellow body with what looked like tribal markings on the sides, white feathers on its feet and greenish-yellow eyes with small round irises. The mane of white and blue feathers on its head wasn't unlike a North American chief's headdress. Judging by the size, it was a male.

M-Raptor looked like the other two, but was half their size, green, and like V-Raptor, was clearly a female dinosaur.

On the opposing side was Lee, with his V-Raptor, U-Raptor and Spinax.

"Peggy? What're you doing here?" Lee called.

"Apparently ya bought someone's stolen medals!" The redhead called back.

"Well I plan on giving them back! What on Earth am I supposed to do with ten medals, huh?!" The taller sibling questioned.

"You never thought of expanding your team?" She asked.

"Yeah, but not right now!" Lee called back. "V, use Veloci-claw on that M-Raptor!" He ordered, starting the fight as V landed his attack.

Memphis squeaked as it was hit and sent rolling backwards from the attack, slowly getting back up and shaking herself.

"Oh, it's on!" Peggy smirked. "Utah, nail that blimey Spinax with U-Toxin!" She ordered.

Utah nodded and started attacking Augustus and blasted him with fire, leaving him severely poisoned.

"Augustus, get some payback with Spinax Bite!" Lee ordered his Spinax happily obliged by biting into Utah and getting a critical hit.

This caused the U-Raptor to go back into his medal—but almost immediately after, the poison hit Augustus and made him go back as well.

"Heh, well played." Lee acknowledged with a nod. "Let's see if you can keep it up." He challenged.

"Oh, I'll show you, ya wanker!" Peggy grinned ferally.

"Fine." The boy shrugged. "Volt, use U-Toxin on V-Raptor." He told his Utah Raptor.

Immediately, Volt attacked and left Virginia poisoned.

"You always go tit for tat, or are you just that petty?" The redhead questioned.

"Hey, I just work with what I got. Don't judge me." The blue tipped man retorted, sounding a bit indignant.

"Virginia, use Veloci-Combo on V-Raptor!" The Scottish girl called to her second partner.

Virginia carried out her order and landed a good combo on V… But it wasn't enough to send him back into his medal form.

"Damn, that V-Raptor of yours is tough!" Peggy whistled, a little impressed by how tough V was.

"Give that V-Raptor a taste of her own medicine, V." Lee told his partner, who charged at Virginia and unleashed a flurry of blows against the opposing dromaeosaur.

Virginia wasn't quite as tough as V was, and was sent back to Peggy in medal form, leaving just Memphis left.

"Wow, you really are like Ford in battle: A tough guy to fight." The redhead blinked.

"It comes with the territory." Lee shrugged as their battle wrapped up with Volt taking out Memphis.

(Later)

"That was probably one of the most even matches I've ever seen." Ford remarked as Peggy got back to him and Rosie.

"Sorry for the wait, sweetie." His girlfriend apologized as she kissed him on the cheek.

It was then that Lee came into the room, and was immediately approached by Rosie.

"That was one heck of a fight." She said before spotting Peggy's opponent entering the lobby.

Pinkette then stormed up to the taller sibling and stood in front of him, hands on her hips and her foot tapping impatiently.

"I'll be taking my Dino Medals back, thank you very much!" She snapped matter of factly.

"You mean the ones I was gonna give back to you regardless?" Lee deadpanned.

"... Eh?" Was the pinkette's only available response.

"Told you." Ford said.

"Where'd you even get 'em from, anyway?" Peggy questioned, looking up at the taller sibling.

"Some shady little piece of shite named Medal Dealer Joe." Lee replied. "He's got green lambeosaurus eyes and a head that's kinda pointy, like an Aracadian." Jay explained, this caused alarm bells to go off in everyone's heads.

"That's him!" The trio exclaimed in unison.

"Come on! Let's head to the info dealer to see if we can find out where he is now!" Rosie exclaimed, getting nods from her two allies before they rushed off.

"Oi, wait up!" The black and blue haired man called as he rushed after them.

(Later)

The four entered the information center and walked up to the information broker of the island.

"Excuse me, but where can we find Medal Dealer Joe?" Ford asked.

"One moment." The broker replied before typing on his keyboard and bringing up the latest info on the man in question. "He is currently in Greenhorn Plains." He responded.

The British-Welsh boy nodded as he placed 100 gold on the desk in response.

"A pleasure doing business." He nodded before the three left.

"Greenhorn Plains, eh?" Rosie grumbled. "Seems criminals do return to the scene of the crime." She added.

"Alright. Let's go get this little gobshite!" Peggy growled, cracking her knuckles.

"Want me to knock his lights out?" Lee offered, flexing his fingers.

"Sure." His brother nodded. "But first, let's stop at the Fossil Center first. There's something that Dr. Diggins needed us for, but you were in the arena when I got the call." He added.

"I gotcha. Let's go." The taller twin nodded before the group headed to the fossil center.

(Later)

Ford and Lee walked into the Fossil Center and found Dr. Diggins waiting for them, with two strange gauntlets in hand.

They looked to be gauntlets of some sort. One was black with purple metal accents and a red spiral shaped disk in the center, small enough for a dino medal to fit in.

The other was black and blue with the same functional design as the first.

"What the bloody hell are those?!" Peggy gasped in surprise.

"These are called Dino Gauntlets, they can launch Dino medals into battle at speeds matching a major league baseball pitcher." The scientist explained. "These are a pair of prototypes I'd like Ford and Lee to test." He added, handing the boys the devices.

"Well, I'm not gonna say no to a fancy new toy like this." Lee remarked with a shrug as he put the gauntlet on his right hand.

"Same." Ford added his two cents as he put his own glove on.

"Let me know how it works next time you use it so I can continue working on its later iterations." Diggins told the two brothers.

"Will do." The twins nodded in unison.

(Later)

Arriving at Greenhorn Plains, the trio immediately went to the phony dig site, and found the same guy Lee saw there.

Before the man could react, the taller twin ran towards the blonde and decked him in the face, causing the mask he was wearing to come flying off.

"Agh!" The "medal dealer" grunted as he held his face.

"Jig's up, ya medal stealing prick!" Peggy growled, her accent slipping out again.

"Honestly, stealing medals from people and selling them to others? Talk about low and pathetic." Ford commented with a grunt.

"Damn limies, you all think you know everything, don't you?" Joe growled as he struggled back to his feet.

"And you think you do?" Lee fired back. "Take a break, guys. I'll deal with this idiot myself." He told the others.

He then walked up to Joe, and decked him one more time, causing the man to fall to the floor with a thud.

"Alright, ya halfwit! Fork over the medals!" Peggy demanded, her accent slipping as she got on top of the floored Joe, throttling the man and shaking him.

"Alright, alright! Here, just calm down already!" Joe exclaimed as the girl throttled him.

Right on cue, Bullwort and the rest of the police came up behind them. "Joe Wheeler, you're under arrest." The man stated as he cuffed the dealer as Peggy let go.

"Yay! I got my medals back!" Rosie cheered before she hugged the couple. "Thanks, guys!" She added before running off, letting out cheers the whole way.

"... Well, that happened." Peggy remarked with a blink.

"Yeah." Lee sighed as he cracked his back. However, he couldn't help but think of the defeated look Joe had on his face. Not like a criminal who was caught, but that he failed at something, or someone. 'Wonder what that was about?' He thought as he, Ford and Peggy left the fake site.

"Lee? Something wrong, bro?" Ford asked.

"I noticed Joe had a look of defeat. Ya don't find that on criminals often." His brother responded.

"What, you think there's something more to what he was doing?" The purple haired man asked.

"Could be. I'll have to look into this." The taller twin nodded.

(Later)

Later that evening, Lee decided to pay Joe a visit in the island prison. Something bugged the British-Welsh boy about Joe's motives, so he decided to get to the bottom of it.

The boy took a stool and set it across from the man's cell, the two of them looking at each other from opposite sides of the bars.

"What're you doing here, kid?" The blonde questioned, sitting on his prison cot.

"Because I saw that look of yours when the cops caught you. You looked defeated, like you failed at something." The blue tipped lad replied, getting to the point. "So, what's the deal?" He asked.

"Not like you'd care. You low level fighters all have the same mentality on your vivosaurs, anyway." Joe scoffed.

"Excuse me?" The Welshman asked with narrowed eyes, not approving of the discrimination he just heard.

"Tell me something, kid. How long have you been here?" The man pressed.

"Not counting today? About three weeks." The black and blue haired teen explained after doing some recollective mental math.

"Well I've been here for a little over a year." The blonde responded. "And during that time, I've seen how fighters who arrive here treat their vivosaurs." He continued. "They find them, get so preoccupied with getting started on fighting that they don't clean their fossils properly–act surprised when they turn out weak and dumb." He added.

This made Lee facepalm.

"Oh for fuck's sake…" He groaned in exasperation. "Look, I can kinda understand your case, really, and I can understand wanting them safe, if that was your angle. But what about the ones that aren't that way, and actually take the time to clean their fossils, like my brother and I and my brother's girlfriend?" He asked.

"That guy with the redhead was your brother?" The blonde questioned.

"Yeah. We're twins." Lee nodded.

"Well… At first, I actually thought you three were no different…" Joe trailed off before frowning. "But both of your brother and his girl's vivosaur teams told me off, no matter how much I tried to convince them it was for their own safety. His T-Rex even came out in some kind of smaller form and bit me, which was why his and his girlfriend's medals were on the ground outside of that fake dig site." He explained.

"Well, that answers that particular question." Lee muttered before looking at the man again. "You say you were told off by them? Did you hear what they were verbally saying?" He questioned, much to the blonde's confusion.

"Uh… No. But I am highly in tune with them, so I can understand what they're trying to say." He replied. "Why?" He then asked.

"Don't worry about it." The Welshman deflected, deciding he probably wouldn't believe him about him hearing what his vivosaurs were saying verbally. "One thing to note, mate: If vivosaurs are telling you off, it should be a good indicator of how much care was put into their cleaning." He stated.

"I guess so." Joe nodded as he twirled a medal in his hands. "But there's more than just bad cleaning. Some Vivosaurs are just not all that strong or are specialized for certain roles. And young fighters are all about strength over strategy." He continued. "Take my Metria here, for example." He added. "I found this one at the bottom of Bottoms Up Bay, after its fighter threw it in the ocean because it wasn't strong enough."

"Wow, what a dumbass." The Brit sighed. "I did my homework on Fossil Fighting before I came here, so even I know that my vivosaurs will be stronger if I find more of their fossils and replace the old ones with the new ones." He added.

"That reminds me." Joe stated before looking at Lee's dino medal case, just in time for four lights to pop out of it and form into small vivosaur copies. This surprised the las, not knowing that they could do this. "Why does your V-Raptor look so different?" He questioned.

"Oh, I brought his skull with me from the United Kingdom when it was still in its fossil rock." Lee shrugged in reply. "My working theory is that there were more vivosaurs similar to him over there, too." He added.

"That would make sense in retrospect." Joe muttered thoughtfully. "So, why'd you come here in the first place, anyway?"

"My parents paid for me and my brother Ford to come here after we graduated from university." The boy explained, fiddling with his mom's necklace. "And… I'm actually helping Ford look for our mom. She disappeared and I think the reason why has something to do with Vivosaur Island." He added.

"Well shit." Joe winced. "Good luck on your search." He added.

"Thanks, mate." Lee nodded before he got up to leave.

"Hey!" Joe called, causing the boy to turn around as he was tossed a pair of Dino medals.

"... A Tro and Carno medal?" The boy questioned as he examined it.

"Yeah, those guys have been through a lot. They used to belong to a guy from the BB Bandits of all people, who tortured the poor guys to make them tougher." The dealer nodded. "Most Carnos are lone wolves, but this one seems to enjoy working on a team. Probably because of being isolated for so long." He continued. "The Tro could really use a new partner to help him come back out of his shell, too." He continued. "I personally think you and your bro would make good partners for them." He added.

"I'll treat 'em like he's my own little brothers." The British boy nodded before he left the prison. Taking the medals out, he looked down at them fondly. "Welcome to the team, Newton." He smiled as he went to get the Carno medal to Ford.

(A few days later)

Ford groaned in bliss as he felt the soft, warm and slick confines of his girlfriend's mouth bob up and down on his manhood as he relaxed on the couch. Both of them were naked and Peggy had her breasts bouncing on the remaining portion of her man's cock that couldn't fit in her mouth.

"Oh fuck, that feels great!" He groaned as he rubbed his girlfriend's hair. "Keep going, don't stop!" He added.

Peggy moaned as she looked up at his moaning face and purred as she started going even faster on his dick, and also fondling his balls–which she noted–were rather larger than average. Just like the lad's phallus.

'I can feel it, big boy. Cum for your sexy Scottish girlfriend!' She thought as she felt him twitch in her mouth.

"Peggy, I'm cumming!" Ford groaned before he blasted his load into her stomach.

The redhead moaned as she gulped down the load erotically and then showed him the aftermath by opening her mouth and swirling her tongue around with beautiful moaning noises. Then she swallowed it before sitting in his lap, hotdogging his member in the process.

"You might actually get me pregnant one of these days." She remarked while leaning against him, enjoying the feeling of his arms wrapping around her waist. "

"I don't think you're complaining, love." Ford told her, stroking her cheek as she leaned into it and sighed happily. "Am I wrong?" He asked her before groaning as her ass caused his cock to spring back to life and slap it, spraying pre cum all over the girl's peachy cheeks.

"No, not really." Peggy shrugged with a grin before moaning as she took her boyfriend's member up her ass and started fucking herself with it.

*Knock Knock Knock*

"Room servi-ce…" A hotel waitress said as she walked into the room, and was met with the sight of Peggy fucking her own ass on her boyfriend's cock, her breasts flopping around, her ass jiggling around, her face having an Ahaegao expression, and the sound of moaning and slapping skin filling the room.

The whole scene left the waitress incredibly flustered. She honestly had no idea what to do in this situation.

Oh wait, yeah she did.

"Sorry for the intrusion!" She exclaimed as she immediately ran out, but not before leaving what she came to the room with for them. Her face was beet red at what she'd just witnessed.

Dragon Emperor0: As you guys can see, this chapter covers pretty much all the early chapters and the Greenhorn Plains incident in one go. We did this partly because it honestly just seemed appropriate and partly because while reworking everything, we couldn't really justify having three chapters worth of introduction after chapter 1. So we shortened the wait for the plot by tightening the pacing.

ThermalsniperN7: We'll also take our time and correct any errors we made in the original iteration without realizing it. That's a big part of writing, ain't it? Can't have your work marred by mistakes constantly.

Dragon Emperor0: Additionally we won't have lemons (explicit scenes) in this story for the reasons I mentioned in the update on the original, mainly limes (non explicit) and suggestive scenes. Except for the one here that's just being kept purely for comedic effect. So, hopefully this clears things up.

ThermalsniperN7: Right. Gotta have limits. That aside, anyone like how Lee clocked Joe in the face when the jig was up? Granted, it was before he knew the guy's story, but still.

Dragon Emperor0: We wanna take this story in a direction where it's close enough to the source material, but not so much that it ends up being just a rehash of game events, or a 1 to 1 copy of the manga, or too similar to the story of a close friend of ours hypersonic: A Master's Story either. We want this to be our own and be of the best quality–something that we noticed wasn't really done in the original.

ThermalsniperN7: So here's hoping that we pull it off. See you guys next time.
