Most of the students were in class when Adrien entered with a worried look on his face.
"Whoa, Adrien, you look spooked, are you okay?" asked Zach.
"Um, guys, do any of you know today's date?" asked Adrien.
"Of course, it's the 13th, why?" asked Alya.
"Aw, man, that means today is...," said Adrien.
"GOOD MORNING, PEASANTS!" shouted Chloe, bursting through the door.
"Oh god, Chloe, what's got you so cheerful?" asked Zach.
"Why don't you tell them Adrikins?" asked Chloe.
Adrien let out a sigh before answering.
"Today is Chloe's birthday." said Adrien.
"Oh, that's cool, Chloe, how old are you?" asked Zach.
"Zach Petiot, don't you know you never ask a lady her age?" asked Chloe.
"Yes, but I wasn't asking a lady, I was asking you." said Zach.
"So, you got anything planned?" asked Adrien.
"This year I'm going away for my birthday." said Chloe.
"Really? Is it MY birthday too?" asked Zach.
Chloe growled and went to her seat.
"Has she always been this irritating on her birthday?" asked Zach.
"Yeah, I remember one time when I took Chloe to the zoo...," said Adrien.
"I tried doing that once, they wouldn't take her." said Zach.
The groups discussion was interrupted by Rose.
"Oh my god!"
"What's going on, Rose?" asked Marinette.
"Prince Ali's back in Paris, he's here for a conference, I can't wait to see him again." said Rose.
"Oh, that's...great Rose, I know how much you...like hanging out with him" said Juleka.
"Uh, HELLO! Why is no one talking about my birthday?" asked Chloe.
"Thanks, Juleka" said Rose, giving Juleka a hug and completely ignoring Chloe.
"Uh, I'll be back, I don't feel too good" said Juleka.
Juleka quickly walked out of the classroom, the others looked worried about her.
"I'll go make sure she's okay." said Marinette.
Marinette walked out of the classroom. Sabrina saw the chance to get the topic of conversation back to Chloe's birthday.
"So, Chloe, what are you planning to do for your birthday?" asked Sabrina.
"I don't know yet, but when I was younger, every year for my birthday, my dad would take me to the horse show." said Chloe.
"Oh, did you ever win?" asked Zach.
==Bathroom==
Marinette entered the bathroom, where she saw Juleka sat in the corner.
"Juleka, what's wrong?"
"Oh, Marinette, it's nothing, I'm fine" said Juleka.
"Juleka, I can tell something's got you down, you know you can tell me."
"I guess I can trust you, Marinette, it's just...the way Rose talks about Prince Ali and when they talk to each other online sometimes, I get a little jealous" said Juleka
"You're jealous of Rose and Ali? Do you have a crush on Prince Ali or something?" asked Marinette.
"No, of course I don't have a crush on Prince Ali." said Juleka.
"Wait, on...on Rose?" asked Marinette.
Juleka only blushed and looked to the floor.
"Does she know?" asked Marinette.
"Of course not, I can't tell her, I've never even told anyone before, not even Luka, you're the first."
"Well, you can't keep it to yourself forever, Juleka, secrets want to be known, that's why they're so hard to keep."
"How do I even bring it up? What if she hates me?" asked Juleka.
"Juleka, Rose is your best friend, you two are inseparable, she won't hate you." said Marinette.
"Thanks Marinette." said Juleka.
Juleka hugged Marinette before the girls returned to the classroom.
==Meanwhile==
Prince Ali's jet arrived, and he got inside the limo, his chaperone telling him about his schedule for the day.
"So, first, you are to attend the opening of the new museum, after which, you are to attend the meeting with the mayor to discuss..."
"Uh, do I actually have any time for myself?" asked Ali
"My prince, you have a responsibility while you are here"
"Uh, yeah, of...of course"
==Later that Day==
Chloe was leaving Le Grand Paris when she heard someone calling her name, it was Zach.
"What do you want Zach?" asked Chloe
Zach handed Chloe a small box with a beautiful bracelet inside.
"Happy Birthday Chloe" said Zach
"No jokes, no insults, no wise cracks?" asked Chloe
"No, I wouldn't do that on your birthday" said Zach
"Where'd you even get this?" asked Chloe
"I had a little extra spending money, I sold this gaudy belt buckle Adrien gave me with a bejewelled crown insignia" said Zach
"What? I gave Adrien that belt buckle for Christmas" said Chloe
"Oh, whoops" said Zach
==Meanwhile==
Prince Ali got ready for his speech when he heard Rose approaching with Juleka.
"Rose, it's great to see you"
"You too Ali" said Rose
"And who is this?" asked Ali
"Oh, this is my best friend, Juleka"
"Pleasure to meet you, Juleka"
"Uh, yeah, you...you too"
"My prince, come, it's almost time for your speech"
"Okay, see you later, Rose"
Prince Ali followed his chaperone to the podium for his speech.
"Um, Rose, there's something I need to talk to you about"
"What is it, Juleka?" asked Rose
"Um, it's..."
Juleka stopped, she knew she needed to say it, but she couldn't bring herself to.
"It's nothing important"
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, it can wait"
When Ali finished his speech, went to return to Rose and Juleka, when his chaperone stopped him and took him to the limo.
"My prince, you have responsibilities as a prince, and every time you come to Paris, you ignore your duties as a prince for that girl, so, while we are here, you will not be going anywhere near her"
"What? But she's my friend"
"She's a distraction and a bad influence"
==Hawkmoth's Lair==
"A young child with a position of power may have responsibilities, but at the same time, they are still children who need to have their fun while they are young" said Hawkmoth
A white butterfly flew into Hawkmoth's hand, he covered it with his other hand as it was engulfed in a dark energy, turning it black and purple.
"Fly away, my little akuma, and evilize him" said Hawkmoth
==Le Grand Paris==
Prince Ali sat on his bed in his hotel room, looking at a picture of him and Rose from the last time he visited Paris. A purple outline started shining in front of his eyes.
"Prince Mesmerizing, I am Hawkmoth, I understand that people look down on you because you are young, they never allow you to have fun and never listen to what you have to say, I can give you the power to make people finally listen to you, in exchange, all I ask is you bring me the Miraculouses of the heroes of Paris" said Hawkmoth
"Sounds like a plan, Hawkmoth"
A dark aura enveloped Ali, he was now wearing formal robes with a powdered wig and a gold crown atop his head. He placed the picture in his shirt pocket. His chaperone stepped inside.
"My prince, you are scheduled for...my prince?"
Prince Mesmerizing waved his hand in front of his chaperone's face, putting her in a trance.
"Change of schedule, while I'm in Paris, I am going to do whatever I want"
"Yes, my prince"
==Rose's House==
Rose returned to her home, after she had received a text from Ali saying he wasn't allowed to see her, she felt really sad. She went to her room and sat on her bed when she heard a tapping on her window, she looked to see Prince Mesmerizing.
"Who are you?"
"Rose, surely you would remember me"
"Ali?"
"Not anymore, thanks to Hawkmoth, I am now Prince Mesmerizing"
"Why are you here?"
"I was able to persuade my chaperone to think again about you, so why don't you come with me?"
"I don't know if that's a good idea"
"C'mon Rose, I thought we were friends"
"I'm friends with Prince Ali, not Prince Mesmerizing"
Mesmerizing scowled as he waved his hand in front of Rose's face, putting her into a trance.
"Come with me, Rose"
"Okay, I'll come" said Rose
Prince Mesmerizing took Roses hand in his as he led her out of the house.
==Meanwhile==
Luka always knew when his sister was upset. He decided to treat her to some ice cream from Andre.
"Enjoy" said Andre
"Thanks, Andre" said Luka, handing a cone to Juleka
The twins sat at a bench and enjoyed their ice cream.
"I can't believe I couldn't do it, I'm such a coward" said Juleka
"No, you're not, sis, you have more courage than you realise"
"You don't mean that"
"I do, Jule"
"Then how come I couldn't even talk to...ROSE?!"
Juleka was shocked when she saw a group of people carrying two thrones on their shoulders, Prince Mesmerizing and Rose sat in the thrones.
"Rose? Are you okay?" asked Juleka, as Prince Mesmerizing walked to Andre to get some ice cream
Rose gave no answer.
"Rose?"
Juleka put a hand on Rose's shoulder, but Rose immediately grabbed Juleka's wrist and bent it back.
"Ow, ow, ow!"
"ROSE, WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" asked Luka
Luka grabbed Rose's wrist to try to pull her off of Juleka.
==Meanwhile==
Ladybug was running across the rooftops to patrol, when she saw what appeared to be Juleka and Rose in some sort of fight with several witnesses, with Luka trying to pull them apart.
"That's something you don't see every day." said Ladybug
Luka was finally able, to get Rose to let go of Juleka.
"I would advise you against doing that again, me and Rose are trying to have a fun day together, we would appreciate if you didn't interfere" said Prince Mesmerizing
"What did you do? Rose would never...," said Luka
"Quiet" said Prince Mesmerizing, waving his hand in front of Luka's face
Luka said nothing, he only stood there.
"Bow to your prince"
Luka followed the instructions and bowed. Juleka could only run off.
"Uh, oh, this can't be good." said Ladybug
Ladybug quickly took out her yo-yo and tried to get in contact with Cat Noir and Nightwolf. Juleka was able to find a hiding spot. Eventually, Cat Noir and Nightwolf were able to arrive. Prince Mesmerizing had brainwashed more people.
"Okay, that's a lot of people" said Nightwolf
"We could use a plan, Bugaboo"
"LUCKY CHARM!"
Ladybug flung her Yo-Yo high into the air. Energy shot out from the yo-yo before creating a phonograph.
"A phonograph?" asked Ladybug
"Think the prince likes music?" asked Nightwolf.
Ladybug thought for a moment, before realizing what the Lucky Charm meant.
"I know what we need." said Ladybug.
"Feel free to divulge" said Nightwolf.
"I have to get some help, you two keep the prince busy"
With that, Ladybug swung away on her yo-yo.
"Does she do that a lot?" asked Nightwolf
"Don't worry, she knows what she's doing" said Cat Noir
==Master Fu's==
Master Fu approached the phonograph and inserted the combination to release the miracle box, before setting it between himself and Marinette.
"Marinette Dupain-Cheng, pick an ally you can trust to fight alongside you on this mission. Choose wisely; such powers are meant to serve the greater good. Once the mission is over, you will retrieve the Miraculous from them" said Master Fu
Marinette knew exactly which Miraculous she needed, she picked up a Panjas Bracelet.
==Alley==
Juleka hid in an alleyway when Ladybug appeared.
"Hello Juleka"
"Ladybug? What are you doing here?"
"We need help to take down the Prince, we need your help"
"Mine?" asked Juleka
"Juleka Couffaine, this is the Miraculous of the Tiger which grants the power of Elation. You'll use it for the greater good. Once the mission is over, you'll return the Miraculous to me... Can I trust you?" asked Ladybug, holding out a small box with the Miraculous inside.
Juleka smiled and nodded her head.
"You can count on me, Ladybug" said Juleka, taking the box.
Juleka opened the box, and a bright light flew from the Miraculous inside and transformed into a kwami.
"Hello there, my name is Roaar" said the kwami
"What...what are you?"
"I am a kwami, I am what gives heroes their powers, so, are you ready?" asked Roaar
"Y...yes" mumbled Juleka
"What?" asked Roaar
"Yes" said Juleka
"C'mon, like you mean it!"
"YES! I'M READY!"
"Perfect"
Juleka put the bracelet on her wrist.
"All you have to say is 'Roaar, Stripes On!'" said Roaar
"ROAAR! STRIPES ON!"
Juleka waved her hands in front of her face, forming her mask and changing her hairstyle.
She spread her arm out before her suit formed on her body.
She brought her hands together before forming her bolas, which she wrapped around her waist like a belt.
With a few scratch taunts, Juleka posed as her transformation into Purple Tigress was complete.
"Whoa!" said Purple Tigress, admiring her suit.
Ladybug heard her yo-yo beeping and saw that she had a call from Nightwolf.
"Ladybug, you gotta get back here quickly, the Prince has been busy."
Ladybug turned to Purple Tigress.
"Let's get going."
Purple Tigress nodded and the two heroines ran off to find Cat Noir and Nightwolf atop a building near a park.
"So, what's going...on?" asked Ladybug spotting the site beneath them.
Prince Mesmerizing had used his powers to hypnotize more people to act as servants to pamper himself and Rose.
"Told you he's been busy" said Nightwolf
"Clearly." Said Purple Tigress
"And you are?" said Nightwolf
"My name is Purple Tigress, it's good to meet you, Nighwolf."
"The same to you, so, Ladybug, what's the plan?"
"First, we need to know what item has the akuma." Said Ladybug
"I have a theory." Said Nightwolf
"What is it?"
"From here, I can see something tucked into the Prince's belt, looks like some sort of photograph."
"For an akumatized prince, a photograph does seem pretty out of place, so Ladybug, what's the plan?" asked Purple Tigress
"It's simple, but sometimes the simple plans are best, try to get close to the prince and grab that photograph." Said Ladybug
The other heroes nodded and got ready to jump into action. They leapt from the roof and down to the street.
"Ladybug and friends. A pleasure to meet you but this is a private."
Prince Mesmerizing snapped his fingers and his followers charged towards the heroes. The numbers would have overwhelmed them if the heroes' higher speed and agility didn't even the odds for them. Purple Tigress was able to sneak around and come face-to-face with the Prince and Rose.
"A new one? I can only imagine how many more heroes Ladybug has stashed away."
Purple Tigress balled up her fist.
"I'm sorry for this, Rose."
"CLOUT!"
With her fist held above her head, Purple Tigress'
fist filled with pure energy.
Purple Tigress reached her fist back before delivering the hardest punch she could, surrounded by energy, the punch sent a shockwave that knocked back Prince Mesmerizing's followers, along with the thrones they were carrying and Prince Mesmerizing and Rose. The photograph fell from the prince's belt, he tried to crawl to it, only for Purple Tigress to pick it up first, she looked at it and saw how happy Rose looked in it. A tear fell from Purple Tigress' eye as she ripped the photo in half, releasing the akuma.
"No more evil doing for you, little akuma" said Ladybug as she opened her yo-yo
"Time to de-evilize!"
Ladybug captured the purple akuma in her yo-yo.
"Gotcha!"
Ladybug released the akuma, now purified into a white butterfly.
"Bye-bye, little butterfly" said Ladybug, before throwing the Lucky Charm into the air.
"MIRACULOUS LADYBUG!"
An explosion of pink energy dispersed into a swarm of ladybugs that flew around the city, repairing all the damage caused by Prince Mesmerizing, and reverting him back to normal.
"Pound It!" said the four heroes as they fist bumped.
==Later==
Ladybug and Prince Ali stood beside each other, while Juleka and Rose were talking across the street. Juleka knew she had to tell Rose the truth and asked Prince Ali to give them some privacy.
"…I know this is a lot, Rose, and I hope that we can at least stay friends, I can't imagine my life without you in it." Said Juleka
Rose didn't say anything, honestly, she didn't know what to say, after a few seconds, she smiled and pulled Juleka into a hug.
"Juleka, this could never pull us apart, we're inseparable, I'm honestly surprised you didn't tell me sooner, I was waiting."
"Wait, what?"
Rose only smiled at her best friend.
"…You…you knew?"
"We've known each other for years, how could I not?"
"But if you knew, why didn't…"
Juleka stopped when Rose placed a finger on her lips.
"I knew you would tell me eventually, but you weren't ready yet, it wouldn't have been right to force you to talk about it before you felt comfortable."
Tears welled up in Juleka's eyes as she smiled. Rose leaned up and gave Juleka a kiss on the cheek. The touching moment was cut off when a limo arrived, and Prince Ali's chaperone stepped out.
"My prince, I have been looking for you, I don't know what happened, one moment, I'm at the hotel, the next, I'm somehow on the streets of Paris, where have you been?"
"Um, miss, are you…" said Rose, before being cut off
"Oh, it's you, my prince, I told you to not see her again, she is a distraction and a bad influence on you, no wonder you seemed to run off."
Ladybug was about to speak, but Juleka beat her to it.
"Hold on there, woman, I don't know what you define as a bad influence, but Rose is not it, she is easily one of the kindest people you will ever meet in your life, honestly, if anything caused the Prince to run off, it would be the stress you're putting him under."
Everyone was in awe, Juleka was never a very talkative or confident person and she just called out Ali's chaperone to defend Rose without the slightest hesitation.
"Um, well, I suppose I have been putting Prince Ali through a lot recently, but it's only because I care about him, he's the heir to the throne of Achu, he is one of the main political representatives of the country, he needs to take his work seriously."
"He's also still a kid, and a kid needs to be able to have a personal life and friends." Said Ladybug
"I guess I never thought about it like that, um, you're right, I'm sorry Prince Ali, maybe it's time you took a break from your political work, I'll be back to pick you up in a couple hours."
Ali's chaperone got back in the limo and left.
"Thank you for that, it means a lot." Said Prince Ali
"Ladybug always has a way with words." Said Juleka
"Actually, I was talking about you, Juleka, you had the courage to say what I've wanted to for years, I cannot thank you enough."
"Oh, it was nothing, really."
While the trio kept talking, Ladybug decided it was time for her to make herself scarce.
