New story! I'm pretty excited since I was reading Queen of Area 5's Hopeless, after finishing Lifting the Veil and it gave me an idea for a new story. I'm currently editing Seven days, and writing Eternal Destinies. I'll be starting on chapter 2 the moment I finish posting this chapter.

Enjoy and tell me what you think!

Chapter One

The Ancient Pythoness sat in front of the fire flipping through an old book she's had for centuries. It was the oldest story of all, the one everyone should know, but doesn't. Instead, they know story of her. The beginning of Lilith; the mother of all vampires. That's not the whole story, though. The real story is much, much gruesome and tragic than any story she's told and it's in the book she holds now, the book she protects with her life, the book she holds dear.

And it was time the entire vampire race finally knew exactly where they come from. How vampirism really started, and how it spread across the world in a matter of days. It was important for the truth to be revealed, for Lilith is prophesied to arise from her grave in a fortnight. She had to act fast too, for if she doesn't act now, the Sanguinistas will rise to power and take over the world; enslaving the entire vampire race. That was why she called her eldest daughter here. She needed to inform her their entire blood line is in grave danger. They already lost Godric; her son, her handsome and sweet son. A saddening and huge loss to their family.

Pythia closed her eyes, saying a prayer for her youngest son. She also made a vow to her goddess…she vowed no one else is going to die in her family.

"Hello Mother." Her daughter spoke in a soft voice, interrupting her musings. She could feel her daughter in the bond, she was apprehensive and cautious….as she should be. Whenever Pythia called her children here, it was almost never good news. She could also feel her happiness, and relief, knowing they haven't seen each other in 75 years.

"Hello, my child. It has been too long." Her milky eyes landed on her daughter.

"Yes, it has. I'm sure by now you know what happened to Godric a year ago?" She felt immense pain and hollowness come her mother, answering her question.

"Yes." She said in a sad and grave voice. "He's kept the bond between us closed for a long time. If I had known what was going with him, I would have called him to me much sooner." She sighs.

"Perhaps, that's why he closed himself off from us…he didn't want us to talk him out of it." She was devasted her brother didn't want them to save him, to ease his pain and show him that he was better off atoning for his sins alive or undead, not meeting the sun. Blood tears pooled in her eyes, remembering their last words to each other.

"I will always love you, sister."

"I love you too, brother."

She shook her head, pulling herself from her thoughts. She can't do anything about what happened to Godric, but she sure as hell can make sure no one else dies in their family. She cleared her throat, returning their attention to why she's here.

"You wanted to see me, mother?" Pythia nodded her head.

"I take it you'll be bringing the Norseman and Compton in for questioning at Authority Headquarters?" She blinked her eyes at her maker, somewhere between surprised and unsurprised. Pythia smirked at her.

"Come child, by now, you shouldn't be surprised that I know things." She says with mirth.

"I forget sometimes." She replies with a shrug of her shoulder. "What about it?" she questioned.

"I've had some visions…very disturbing ones." She paused, searching through her memories. She wasn't allowed to interfere in her daughter's affairs…at least not directly, but she could still point her in the right direction to tip things in their favor. "Lilith is set arise in her full form, in two weeks, my child."

Her eyes widened at this information. "You're talking about the prophesy?" She said in a small voice. The Ancient Pythoness nodded her head slowly.

"Yes. You know what you must do then?" She didn't even have to ask. She'd do anything for her mother, for her family. It was very important their bloodline survived, for if Lilith rises, then the Sanguinistas will make their move to claim the world as theirs. And she couldn't let that happen.

Eric Northman was her nephew, so to speak and it was time he met Godric's older sister.
