As nightfall came the three found a spot to stop for a rest, to which Kaleigh's legs were tapped up by Hue. "Be a good little girl and don't try anything." With tape still over her mouth, she glared at him before taking a deep breath in and out. While Kaleigh and Judy watched, Hue struggled to make a small fire by rubbing sticks together.
"Ugh! Hue hurry up!" Judy complained as the three's stomach growled. "Shut up Judy! I'm trying my best!"
Kaleigh kept quiet as she watched them. Her wrists were red and raw as she had been rolling them and fighting against the tape to get free. She planned to escape while the two were asleep so she could get some distance away from them.
"Hue you useless piece of sh-" "JUDY!" The two's arguing had made Kaleigh pause in her attempt to free her hands. "Judy let's just go to sleep…" Hue suggested exhausted. "Hue, how am I supposed to sleep starving!"
"Then go find something to eat…" Hue shook his head as he laid down on the grass. He tucked his hands behind his head and closed his eyes. Judy grumbled as she turned and stomped away. Kaleigh looked from one to the other confused. "Why do they stay with each other… They really don't like each other." Kaleigh thought for a moment before she slowly stretched the duck tape and pulled her right hand free. She bit her tongue as the tape pulled at the tender skin.
Kaleigh glanced behind her and rolled her freed hand slowly before looking back at Hue. "With Judy gone maybe leaving now will be better…" She thought and slowly started to work on the tape on her legs. Keeping an eye out for Judy's return and if Hue woke up, she used her fingernails to get the tape and started to unravel it slowly.
As Kaleigh worked on the tape she stopped as she remembered Riolu. "Judy still has him!" She looked over to the trees that Judy had passed. Quickly she placed the tape back around her legs and laid down. Placing her hands back behind her back to make it look as though she was still tied she waited. She closed her eyes as she grew tired, she wondered where Judy had gone but figured she would rest for a short while as she waited.
Kaleigh tried to move her right arm and it wouldn't move as if it was being held down. She looked around and couldn't see as everything was dark but, as she turned her head she was able to see her arm stretched out and strapped down. Gasping she rolled onto her side and with her other hand tried to free her hand, only for a a hand to grab the wrist of her free hand and pulled it to the other side to strap it down as well.
"No, no, no, NO! Leave me alone!" Kaleigh yelled out angrily as she struggled against her restraints. Her legs pressed against the ground and pushed against it to pull away as the hand disappeared for a moment. When it reappeared Kaleigh caught a glimpse of something that shined brightly though it was dark all around her.
"STOP! STOP IT! LET ME GO!"
Gasping as her eyes shot open she quickly pushed herself up and looked around. With a couple short breaths, Kaleigh looked down at her arms finding her left hand grasping her right wrist. Remembering what was reality she looked around and found both Judy and Hue passed out. She quickly got to work on the duct tape around her legs.
"Hehehehe"
Kaleigh paused as she looked around once again. She didn't see anything but it was also too dark to see anyways. She went back to pulling off the last of the tape she reached up to remove the tape from her mouth only to hear the faint laughter again. She quickly turned around but found nothing there. Her eyes narrowed as she scanned around, her heart pounding slightly in her chest as she saw something in the distance.
"No, no! H-he wouldn't be out here!" Kaleigh tried to convince herself. She stood up from the ground and took a step back. A hand then appeared on her shoulder making her jump forward and spun around on her heel. Thankful the tape had kept her from only letting out a muffled cry.
With her arms up to fight, she found a purple pokemon floating in front of her laughing. The pokemon had two hands that weren't attached to its body and a sinister face. Kaleigh kept her distance from it as she sidestepped towards Judy. When the pokemon finished laughing it turned to Kaleigh, making her freeze in her spot. She put her hands up quickly and shook them trying to quietly tell it to stop as her eyes were closed and her head was turned away scared. Instead, the pokemon got close to Kaleigh's face, it stared at her for a moment before there was a rip sound and Kaleigh opened her eyes wide. One eye twitched as she forced herself not to cry out. The pokemon on the other hand laughed at the look she made as a red mark formed across her mouth in the shape of a rectangle from the tape.
"Shh!" Kaleigh quietly hushed the pokemon as Hue groaned, his head rolled onto the side as he slept. Kaleigh breathed out a sign before she tiptoed to Judy and crouched down as she tried to move her left arm out of the way. The pokemon floated over and grabbed Judy's arm and lifted it up for Kaleigh. She looked up at the pokemon and gave a small smile before she reached her hand into Judy's pocket and pulled out a single pokeball.
"Thank you." Kaleigh whispered looking up at the purple being. She stood up and started to walk away but the pokemon dropped Judy's arm back onto her startling her awake.
"Wha-? Huh?" Kaleigh heard the high-pitched voice and picked up the pace before the pokemon grabbed the back of her collar. "L-let me go."
"HEY GET BACK HERE! HUE! HUE GET UP!" Judy screamed making Hue jolt and look around.
"Please!" Kaleigh cried out as she looked back at the pokemon pleadingly. As Judy and Hue got closer, Kaleigh felt helpless as the pokemon held her captive. She held up the pokeball and released Riolu from it.
"Riolu use quick attack!"
Riolu rubbed his face as he yawned and looked up. He quickly ran at the pokemon but when Riolu leaped to tackle the pokemon away from Kaleigh he went right through the pokemon.
"Wh-what?" Kaleigh questioned as she looked from Riolu to the pokemon. The pokemon although not physically hurt, was emotionally hurt that its new "friend" would attack it. It spun around and sent Kaleigh flying into Riolu. It grumbled slightly before more attacks hit it from Judy and Hue.
"Begon you ghost!" Judy shouted, two big pokemon stood beside her and Hue.
"Nidoqueen use shadow ball!" Judy demanded. "Nidoking you too, use shadow ball!" The two pokemon stepped forward together and opened their mouth to charge the attack. The purple pokemon grew more angry as it turned to the Nido duo. It gave them a dark look as it disappeared just as the shadow balls were released. Kaleigh got up and held Riolu in her arms while everyone looked around for the angered pokemon.
"Where did it go?!" Judy screeched as Hue looked to the left. "I don't know! Show yourself, coward!" Soon Kaleigh saw many glowing eyes appear behind Judy and Hue. Her arms tightened around Riolu as she took a couple of steps back.
"Hehehehehehehe!" Judy, Hue and their pokemon turned around towards the laughing and screamed as more pokemon that all looked sinister and ghostly gathered. As the eyes started to gain a dark glow to them the group all turned and ran away.
