Danny was shocked. She knew?! How did she know?!

"I...don't know...what you're talking...about?" Danny tried to say.

"Danny, please. Don't lie. I didn't tell anyone else." Mia said.

Danny could tell that she wasn't going to fall for any excuse and sighed.

"How did you know?" He asked.

"Because I'm the witch that helped you," Mia said, having her hand glow.

Danny was surprised, Mia was a witch?! But she looked like a normal person.

"My family has been witches for a long time. We were known to take control of supernatural beings, like ghosts, for example." Mia said, lowering her hand.

"And you were the number one ghost that all witches heard of. Many think you're very powerful after hearing how you defeated the ghost king. You marked yourself as the number one ghost to control." Mia said, recalling what she heard from the council.

"Why? I only stop him from trying to rule over the Earth and the Ghost Zone." Danny asked.

"Danny, you heard the stories of those that defeat a king is crowned the new king right? Since you beat the ghost king, that makes you the King of all ghosts." Mia said.

"And I refuse to accept that!" Danny said, turning away.

"I didn't stop Pariah Dark to become the new king. I'm just a teenager!" Danny said.

"As am I." Mia sighed.

"My parents want me to grow up and be an all-powerful witch in the council. My mentor is trying to get me to be a powerful witch who will continue his plans. So far, my spellbook is the only one that understands my wishes." Mia sighs.

Danny recalled her saying that early. However, he was still having a hard time believing that some witches wanted to control him.

"So, what can I do to ignore what kind of spells they'll use on me?" Danny asked.

"There's a lot and I left my spellbook back home. He knows a lot of spells, and they should help you prepare for any spell." Mia said.

"So, I should come over to your house?" Danny asked.

"No. Mom and Dad will not waste any time using you for whatever plan they have in mind. Should they discover that you're the ghost we have been sent after, you will never see your family and friends again." Mia warned him.

Danny nods, not wanting that.

"Let's keep to our plan. I'll help you after school." Mia said.

Danny nodded, understanding what she was saying. Mia looked at Danny, finding it strange that he was both a ghost and a human at the same time. However, she had a feeling that if too many people found out about it, it could lead to trouble with not just witches, but other beings that could come after him. So, she might as well not tell anyone.

"Does anyone else know about your powers?" She asked.

Danny sighs before nodding.

"My friends, Tucker and Sam, have since I first got them. My sister, Jazz found out later and wanted me to tell her. My parents don't know." Danny said.

"They don't?" Mia asked, surprised.

"Mom and Dad are ghost hunters. They hunt ghosts. They wish to destroy them because they're evil." Danny said, looking down.

"Evil?" Mia asked.

"Yeah. They think I'm evil too." Danny said, looking sad.

"But, you're not. I saw that firsthand. You save me." Mia said.

"All ghosts are evil and are not people!" Danny said, repeating the words he heard many times.

"Not..people?!" Mia asked, growling.

"NOT PEOPLE?!" She shouted, standing up.

"How are they not people!? Some ghosts used to be human in their past life! One doesn't die and lose everything about their humanity! How can they say that!?" Mia said, making Danny look up.

"I might be a witch, but I'm still a person! If there's one thing that all witches dislike, is saying that no one is a person. Ghosts are people. If they have their own area to stay in, their own lairs, then they are just as human as you and me!" Mia said.

Danny knew that, but he still sighed.

"Tell that to my parents and they'll disagree," Danny said.

"YOU'RE DANG RIGHT WE DISAGREE!"

Both teens heard Jack shouting, confirming what Danny said. They both exited Danny's room and stood at the top of the stairs.

"Ghosts are not people! They never were!" Jack shouted.

"Are they? Or is that what you made yourself believe?" Mia's father asked.

"Look, ghosts are dangerous. Even that Phantom punk." Maddie said.

"So, you refuse to believe that he's a good ghost?" Mia's Mother asked, raising an eyebrow.

"There's no such thing!" Jack said.

Both Mia's parents looked at each other and nodded. Mia knew what they were thinking about. She quickly pushed Danny away from the stairs as her parents started to use one of their well-known curses.

"Mia?" Danny asked.

"Don't look. My parents are going to curse your parents for their actions. Anyone caught in it will be cursed too." Mia said.

"Cursed?!" Danny asked, worried.

"Nothing life-threatening! It will cause anything bad to happen to become worse. Again, it won't kill them, but they will not be able to hunt ghosts until the curse is broken." Mia said.

"How?" Danny asked.

"Until they change their ideas about ghosts, which sounds like would never happen, or if my parents decide to undo it themselves, which NEVERS happens," Mia said.

"So, there's nothing I can do?" Danny asked.

Mia shook her head sadly. The spell will be quick and Danny's parents will have no idea what will happen. If the curse were to be broken, either Mr. and Mrs. Fenton have to admit they're wrong, or her parents decide they suffered enough. Both outcomes were very unlikely. They might be stuck with it for the rest of their lives.

"Just be careful around my parents. They may look like a happy family, but they will curse you if you so much look at them funny." Mia said, warning him.

Danny nods. He could tell that this was a warning. Mia has shown no signs of being like her parents.

"Mia! Time to go, sweetie!" Her mother called out.

Mia sighs, knowing her mother hates calling her that. Once they were back home, they would drop the act. She looked at Danny before sighing. She then turned and walked downstairs. Danny watched her leave before checking on his parents.

Later,

"Are you serious?!"

"Yes. His parents don't think they're people anymore." Mia said, making her Spellbook frown.

"Even in my time, I never thought of ghosts s no-human. They have no right to say that!" It said.

Mia frowns, not liking that one bit. She was happy that she was able to keep Danny from being cursed. Through, she did feel sorry for him.

"Mia, the boy? Was it true?" Her spellbook asked.

"Yes. He's Danny Phantom. And only his two friends and sister know about his powers. After I heard what his parents thought about ghosts, I could see why he didn't tell them." Mia said, sighing.

"You're still going to help him overcome many of the witch's spells?" Her Spellbook asked.

"Yes. He's still a person. I can't let anyone take control of him." Mia said.

However, her spellbook seemed to think that there was another reason she wanted to help him. However, it decided to keep it to itself, for now.

"Well, I guess you will have to explain things to his friends and sister as well?" It asked.

"Yes. They know of his powers and I'm sure he told them about me." Mia said.

"As you wish, my student." It said.

"Well, I got homework to do. Want to help?" She said, getting up.

"Sure. Even from that bag, I could tell the teachers were making the lessons as boring as possible." It said, causing Mia to pick it up.

Mia started her homework and found herself thinking about Danny. For someone different from his family, he was a nice boy. Maybe she could...

Mia shook her head. She was in no rush to get a boyfriend. Besides, they weren't even friends yet. Right?

And going to stop here. Sorry for not showing Mia's parents' reaction to Jack and Maddie telling them about ghosts. So, Danny and Mia have talked and are continuing their plan. While Danny didn't tell her how he got his powers, he did tell her that Tucker, Sam, and Jazz knew about his powers. So, Mia will tell them about being a witch.

As for the cursed, well, I just threw that in. It popped into my head without reason, and I just wrote it down. Everyone's free to think of what the curse will do to Jack and Maddie. Next chapter, training starts, and Danny and Mia start falling for each other. But they won't start dating until much later.

And Ethan, I'll try to use your witches in a later chapter as well. Thanks.
