It was just another day on Cybertron, It was almost Halloween everyone was decorating and getting ready for the spooky season.
Bumblebee and his team had just arrived on Cybertron to calibrate Halloween with the other cybertronians, they were going to stay at the base where several members of team prime were staying along with some of the Decepticons who had switched sides, They decided to stop by the hospital and visit Ratchet and Knock Out.
"Hi." Bumblebee greeted the two medics as they entered the building.
"Hello nice to see you all again." Ratchet said upon seeing them, Knock Out was currently working on something down the hallway.
"Oh scrap!" They all heard Knock Out yell. "Ratchet it's doing it again!"
"Not again!" Ratchet groaned as he went back to where Knock Out was and Bumblebee and his team followed and could here a song playing about it raining tocoes.
"What's going on and what's up with that song?" Asked Sideswipe. "It's surprisingly catchy."
"Oh someone thought that it would be hilarious to make a computer virus as a prank it's been effecting random computers all over Cybertron and play's a music video with that song that gets stuck in your head on an hour loop and if you try to click out of it, It either takes you to the tapdancing monkey gif or gifs of cats." Knock Out explained.
"Wow but don't they know that's dangerous to do that to a hospital computer I mean what if you guys need to do something important on it?" Strongarm asked feeling concerned.
"Fortunately that's why we have back up computers that connect to their own signal so no one is in danger and it's just really annoying." Ratchet told them, And they were all relieved.
Then Megatron entered the hospital and explained that for some reason he kept waking up really sore and covered in dents.
"What happened to you?" Asked Bulkhead who happened to walk in.
"I don't know but I keep waking up this way." Megatron told them. "It's been going on for the past week."
"A lot of strange stuff has been happening this week that no one can explain." Said Ratchet. "And all at the Autobot base."
"Like what?" Asked Bumblebee.
"Well Megatron's been waking up sore and with dents,"
"Skywarp and Thundercracker who we let move into the base with Starscream are fighting with each other because their both sure the other one keeps stealing their stuff because their things keep turning up in the other one's room but both seekers insist they don't know how it there,"
"The lights keep flickering and the doors keep opening and closing randomly, And I've been recharging in my alt mode because my berth broke and I'm still waiting for it to get fixed but I've been waking up freshly waxed because I kept slipping on it when I transform which is the only downside to the last one because I look shiny and fabulous." Knock Out finished explaining.
"And puddles of energon has been showing up randomly on the floor each morning." Added Smokescreen who had just walked in.
"And I've been going to recharge in my berth and then waking up in random and odd places." Starscream chimed as he entered the room.
"Wait Knock Out how did your berth break?" Asked Bumblebee.
"Well you see it kind of a funny story." Knock Out started to explain.
(Flashback.)
Knock Out was in his berth room at the Autobot base seated in a chair reading a datapad, When he suddenly heard some sounds coming from the hall.
"Hum I wonder what that could be?" Knock Out asked himself as he went and opened the door to check the hallway to see what the racket was, And was greeted with the sight of Bulkhead and Wheeljack playing around and roughhousing wreaker style.
Knock Out chuckled and went back to his datapad, But the moment he sat back down,
"Oh scrap my grenade!" He heard Wheeljack shout.
"Oh no quick we need to kick it outside!" Bulkhead yelled in a panic.
Then Knock Out heard an explosion from a different part of the base and at the same time Bulkhead screamed and fell through the still open door and landed on Knock Out's berth breaking it.
"Are you ok?" Knock Out asked already over there and checked the wrecker for injuries and was glad not to find any other then some minor dents.
"Yeah sorry about your berth, me and Wheeljack will fix it." Bulkhead apologized after having fallen backwards while trying to kick the grenade Wheeljack dropped and activated by mistake out of the base's exit that was just at the end of the hallway and had been open.
"It's ok I can sleep in my alt mode until we it's fixed." Knock Out assured him just happy no one had gotten hurt.
"You sure are taking it well." Bulkhead said surprised Knock Out wasn't mad.
"Well accidents happen and Breakdown actually did the same thing a few times during the war." Knock Out explained. "This actually brings back some really funny memories.
"I needed that!" They then heard an angry Ratchet practically roar.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" They heard Wheeljack yell as he ran from Ratchet who was chasing him with a wrench because the grenade had rolled into and blew up part of the medbay.
"Yeah you guys should probably fix that first." Knock Out told Bulkhead.
(Flashback ends.)
"Sorry about that." Said Wheeljack who happened to walk in with Bulkhead just in time to hear Knock Out finish telling them what happened.
"It ok I'm just glad your both fixing the damage." Ratchet accepted the apology.
"But this doesn't explain any of the odd stuff that's been happening in the base." Said Smokescreen.
"Do you suppose it's a ghost or something?" Asked Sideswipe.
"There's no such thing as ghost, even if it is Halloween tomorrow." Strongarm told him. "But I do think we should try to get to the bottom of this mystery." Strongarm was studying to become a detective so saw this as a challenge.
"We can set up cameras in the base to see what happens at night." Bumblebee suggested.
Later that night at the base Bumblebee was setting up the last camera when he heard a scream and rushed to see where it came from.
"Ghost!" He heard Knock Out's voice scream.
And ran into the main room and was met with the sight of Knock Out on the floor using his servos to cover his optics.
"It's ok there's no ghost in here." Starscream told him having also run into the main room to see what was going on, And pointed out Skywarp and Thundercracker who were engaged in a fist fight as Skywarp kept teleporting them both around the base as they fought.
"You two break it up!" Starscream ordered his trine mates, Who then apologized noticing they had scared Knock Out when they had randomly brushed against him when Skywarp was teleporting.
"It's ok." Knock Out told them having calmed down now that he knew there wasn't a ghost and Bumblebee helped him up.
"Skywarp stole my datapad." Thundercracker said glaring at the other seeker.
"I didn't steal anything, Thundercracker's the one who's been stealing my stuff all week." Skywarp defended himself and accused the other seeker.
"Don't worry we'll try to get to the bottom of what's been going on around here." Strongarm told them as she walked in and heard what was going on.
"Good maybe you can also find out why I keep waking up in weird places, Just this morning I woke up in a broom closet right outside the mess hall." Starscream explained.
"And can you also let me know anything you learn about the wax fairies I wanna thank them for making me shiny." Knock Out chimed in.
Just then Sideswipe who had gone out to Macadam's to get energon and oil for everyone walked in with the Autobot psychiatrist Rung.
"Hey I asked Rung to help us out with the investigation on the off chance it's a ghost we're dealing with a psychiatrist might be able to help them with any trauma that's keeping them from moving on." Sideswipe explained.
"There are no such thing as ghost." Strongarm told Sideswipe.
"I thought this might be fun." Said Rung who didn't believe there was a ghost either but still wanted to help out anyway he could.
"Kind of funny their saying this in front of the bot who's actually been a ghost." Starscream said as he smiled at the readers.
"Who are you talking too?" Asked a very confused Knock Out who looked in the direction Starscream did.
"Just a little forth wall break." Starscream told his best friend.
"Oh ok I didn't know we were doing that." Knock Out smile as he waved at the readers.
"Ok guys stop breaking the fourth wall we don't have the money to keep fixing it and we need that." Scolded Ratchet who had just walked in.
"Ok." Starscream and Knock Out both agreed.
Then everyone went to recharge except for Bumblebee, Strongarm, Sideswipe and Rung who all stayed up to watch the cameras.
Later that night as the group watched the cameras they suddenly noticed Starscream who had been tossing and turning a lot get out of his berth and walk out of the room.
"He must be going for a cube of energon." Said Sideswipe.
"Except his optics are closed." Strongarm pointed out.
"He's sleep walking." Bumblebee told them also noticing what was going on. "Let's see what he does."
So they all watched the seeker as he went into Thundercracker's room picked up a datapad and carried it with him back to the hallway and went into Skywarp's room and picked up another datapad as he put down the one he was carrying the put the datapad he held in Thundercracker room where he picked up the first one.
"Well now we know how Thundercracker and Skywarp's stuff keeps ending up in the other one's room." Said Bumblebee.
Next they watched Starscream sleepwalk to the cafeteria where he picked up a cube and took it to the energon dispenser but completely missed the cube leaving a puddle of energon on the floor and put the cube up and acted like he was drinking from it then tossed it aside and walked off.
"And that's where the energon puddles have been coming from, I was right he was going to get energon." Sideswipe smirked.
Next the sleepwalking seeker went to Knock Out's room and they all watched on the camera as he waxed and polished Knock Out's alt mode without even waking him up.
"Why is Starscream sleepwalking and doing all this." Asked Strongarm.
"Taken into account how much he was tossing and turning he must have some stress or trauma in his subconscious that's making him sleepwalk." Rung explained. "Has Starscream had anything traumatic happen to him in the past?"
"Well you could say that." They all answered at once remembering everything that had happened to Starscream during and after the war.
Then they saw Starscream kick in the door of Megatron's berth room and stomped over to the berth then put both his servos around the former gladiator's neakcables and stated slaming his helm into the berth.
Then let go and started slapping him in the faceplates causing Megatron's heard to go back and forth then Starscream jump on top of the berth and Megatron and started stomping all over him then climbed back down and smacked him one last time before stomping out of the room and slamming the door behind him.
"I'm picking up on some resentment." Rung said to the others.
"Gee you think?" Sideswipe asked sarcasticly.
"Ouch that looked painful." Strongarm cringed. "I can't believe Megatron slept through that."
"Talk about a sound sleeper." Said Bumblebee.
Then they saw Starscream walk into the medbay and lay down on the berth.
Then they all went to the medbay and arrived just as Starscream woke up and told him what had been happening.
"Well that's embarrassing sorry about any trouble I might have caused." The seeker apologized after being told what he'd been doing.
Just then they hard a crash and rushed to Knock Out's room where it came from.
"I appreciate the wax job but it sure makes it hard to stand up when I first transform." Knock Out chuckled.
"Your welcome." Starscream deadpanned then they all told Knock Out what they'd found out.
Just then the lights started flickering and the doors in the base started opening and closing and they heard the it's raining tocoes song from the computer virus, Which startled Knock Out and he jumped on Starscream's shoulders.
"Get off me!" Starscream scolded him.
"Sorry about that Screamer." Knock Out apologized.
Then they followed the sound that turned out to be coming from Soundwave's room and saw the slender mech on his computer sending out the virus.
"Soundwave why are you sending out that virus." Asked Starscream.
"Hey Starscream looks like your not the only one doing things in your sleep." Knock Out said as he pointed out Soundwave wasn't awake while he was typing.
"Oh scrap." Starscream chuckled.
Then everyone laughed upon seeing that the lights and doors were also being effected by the virus that Soundwave made while he was in recharge and Starscream and Soundwave both sleepwalking was responsible for all the mysteries that had been going on at the base and the virus.
The next day they told Soundwave what happened and he apologized to everyone for the computer virus and the lights and doors at the base going crazy.
And Starscream apologized for all the stuff he did while sleepwalking and everyone assured them both there were no hard feelings.
Skywarp and Thundercracker also made up and each apologized to the other for accusing them of stealing from them.
Starscream was scared for a minute when Megatron come to talk to him, but the former Decepticon leader let him know that he didn't hold the late night beat down against the seeker.
"I guess I kind of deserved it after all the time I beat you up during the war." Megatron told Starscream then apologized for his past treatment of the seeker.
"It's ok sorry I beat you in my sleep." Starscream said accepting the apology and then apologizing to Megatron for beating him up when he was sleepwalking.
And the two made up and Rung offered them both concealing.
Later that night they all had a Halloween party at the base, And everyone had a fun time and enjoyed their Halloween.
