I swear – I am the happiest when writing Kallura. So, this is post-season 7. Allurance never happened and Kallura is already established. Warnings for Depression as I always felt Allura had it.

Why was an Altean piloting the craft? No one was being able to find anything on why one of her people had been attacking Earth. Allura laid down on her bed, a lone tear running down her cheek. No one was here to see her. She could cry in this moment where no one expected her to be strong. A knock on the door made her curl up in the bed even more.

"Allura?" Keith's voice broke through to her, but she couldn't reply. Her date with Keith had been a nice distraction, a moment to allow herself to relax but when she had gotten back, there had been no change in the Altean. A reality that had hit her like a ton of bricks, causing the joy that she had felt momentarily on that date to be shattered completely. Her boyfriend would go away when she didn't reply anyway, probably assuming she was asleep. There was silence on the other end. Had he gone away? Good – it was better for him to realise she was a lost cause and find someone better for himself.

"Allura, can I come in?" Keith asked. "I can tell you're not sleeping."

Allura internally winced. How had he even known? Could she allow him in when she looked like this? He had seen her vulnerable before but even he hadn't seen her cry in this manner before.

"I won't push you to talk," Keith spoke again. "I just…I just want to be with you."

Allura sensed the hesitation in his voice. She knew he had never been good with words. She tried to compose her tears but more kept falling. "C-come in. It's open." Dammit, she was really allowing this. She was really allowing someone else – be it her boyfriend to see her in this state. Was this really a good idea? It was too late to change her mind now as Keith opened the door and stepped inside, moving over to her side.

"Allura," Keith began, moving to sit on the edge of her bed. Allura didn't know why but this action made her heart crack. As much as she wanted to push him away, her mind had other plans as more tears fell from her cheeks. She couldn't do this anymore. She was tired of being strong. As Keith's arms wrapped around her, her tears turned into full-fledged sobs as she clung to him. Why was this all coming out now? She had seen her planet destroyed, her Castle, her home be sacrificed to protect the universe, so why was everything hitting her now?

Keith didn't speak and she was glad because his embrace made her feel like she could be weak, just in this moment. That just maybe she didn't have to do everything alone. Her breathing was getting weary from all the crying though and her eyes were beginning to close.

"Keith?" Allura asked weakly. "Will you lay with me?"

Keith gave her a soft smile and nodded. She moved to lay down and he curled up beside her. Cuddling up next to him, she allowed her eyes to close. Maybe, she wouldn't have to take on this burden alone.
