No, I wasn't trying to post this chapter as close to actual Halloween as possible or anything. That's just what ending up happening because I'm still trying to get my soap opera commentary YouTube channel called SudsyClassix off the ground and running. (Yes, I'm aware of the shameless self-plug.) Also, it's because I'm still having an absolute bear of a time finding a beta reader. It's hard to find somebody who is willing to beta read for two stories on Fanfic at the same time especially in the soap opera sphere. (Because I'm also looking for somebody who can do RFTBH for me while they're at it so I can get that started up again because I have lots of ideas for it.) If you are interested in being my beta (I swear I'm a nice alpha) or just have thoughts or ideas about what you think I should sprinkle into BUB or Redemption, I'd absolutely love to talk to you. Just hit me up in my PM box. And since I'm currently beta-free, any and all mistake of grammar, spelling and all that jazzy stuff are mine and mine alone.

Port Charles was bustling with excitement as Halloween night approached. The crisp autumn air was filled with the scent of fallen leaves and anticipation. Inside the cozy costume section of Wyndham's Department Store, Anna Devane stood with Robin and Aidan, surrounded by a colorful array of costumes.
"Luv, what do you think of this fairy costume?" Robin asked, holding up a delicate ensemble of gossamer wings and a sparkling tiara for Anna. The little girl's eyes lit up with delight as she twirled around in front of the mirror, the fabric floating around her like a cloud. "I think it's perfect. Robin's voice was filled with excitement. "I'll be the most magical fairy ever!"
Anna chuckled; her heart warmed by Robin's enthusiasm. "And how about you, my little lion?" she cooed, reaching for a baby-sized lion costume complete with a mane and a tail for Aidan. He gurgled in response, his chubby hands reaching out for the costume.
"Yeah, I think it's cute too. But there is nothing cowardly about you, little one."
With the costumes chosen, they made their way to the counter, where the friendly cashier wrapped up their purchases in orange and black paper. "Can Robin have some candy, Anna?"
"I don't see why not," Anna shrugged. "That's the name of the game today. She might as well get started early."
"Have a magical Halloween, sweetie," the cashier said with a wink, handing Robin a lollipop shaped like a ghost. "It's a mystery flavor," she told Robin.
"Cool!" Once outside, Robin clutched her new costume tightly, her eyes wide with wonder. "Luv, I can't wait to show Robby and Uncle Sean my new costume! They're going to love it!"
Anna smiled down at her. "I'm sure they will, darling. Now, let's get you and this little lion home and dressed up. We have a night of magic and treats ahead of us."
Back home, the fairy and her lion were finally ready for their Halloween adventure. The children were a sight to behold in their costumes.
Hand in hand, Robin and Anna walked through the neighborhood pushing Aidan's stroller along, their laughter blending with the rustle of leaves underfoot. The houses were adorned with pumpkins, cobwebs, and flickering candles, casting an enchanting glow over the streets.
Their first stop was Robert's next-door neighbor who always went all out for Halloween. She gasped in delight at the sight of Robin and Aidan. "Oh, what a lovely fairy and a brave lion! Here you go, sweethearts, have some extra candies for being the cutest trick-or-treaters in town!"
With their bags filling up with candies, the trio continued their journey, the night alive with the spirit of Halloween. They visited house after house, each one welcoming them with smiles and treats. Robin's eyes sparkled with excitement, and every time someone complimented her costume, she beamed with pride.
As the night wore on, and Aidan's tiny roars became sleepier, they made their way back home. Robin's hand was still tightly clasped in Anna, her little heart filled with the magic of Halloween.
"Thank you for the best Halloween ever, Luv," Robin said, her eyes shining with gratitude and love.
Anna bent down and kissed Robin's forehead, her heart swelling with affection for the girl who didn't know she was her daughter. "You're welcome, sweetheart. Now, let's get you two inside, and we can sort through your candies. Maybe even share a few before bedtime."
And with that, they walked back home, the magic of the night lingering in their hearts, a memory that would be cherished for years to come.
