A/N: I was re-watching SOA last night so that I could hopefully finish the next chapter of "Home is where the heart is" and I was watching Season 2 Episode 11. It was at the part where Tig goes to Clay and Gemma's house to get their guns and almost has sex with her. Right before Opie finds out that Tig was the one that killed Donna. And an idea occurred to me. Hopefully you guys like this.
Summary: Season 2 Episode 11. After Clay and Jax tell the Club about Gemma being raped by Weston, the Club starts pulling personal gun stock. Clay sends Tig to his house to pick up his guns. Being alone with Gemma, brings up all of the feelings that Tig's had for her for years. But of course, she's his best friend's wife. He can't ever tell her, or can he?
Pairing: Tig/Gemma
Standing in Clay and Gemma's dining room, bagging up Clay's guns, it brought up all of the feelings that I'd had for Gemma over the years. Gemma was the reason that Colleen had left all those years ago, taking Dawn and Fawn with her. It hadn't been because of the club like I'd told everyone. Even with that being said, I knew that Colleen wasn't in love with me anymore which is I didn't fight for her to stay. So she packed up and left. And here I was.
Gemma had been through so much since I'd met her. It hadn't been long after the club had been founded that I'd joined the club. She'd been married to JT at the time and Jax was just a baby. A couple years later, Gemma was pregnant with Thomas. When he was born Gemma and JT found out that Thomas had inherited the same heart condition that Gemma had. Thomas was in and out of the hospital for the next couple of years. JT decided that he wanted to start a charter over in Belfast where the guns we were running came from. With Thomas in and out of the hospital, and JT spending most of the time in Ireland, Clay had gotten close to Gemma. It wasn't until Thomas died suddenly after being in a coma for a few months that I saw things progress between Clay and Gemma. JT come home long enough from Belfast, long enough for Thomas's funeral before he headed back to Belfast. Clay had confessed to me in private that Gemma had found some letters between JT and some girl named Maureen Ashby claiming his love for her. I think that was what had finally pushed Gemma over the edge and into Clay's arms.
It was another seven to eight years before anything else happened. When JT was in town Clay tended to keep his distance from Gemma even though we knew he had a mistress over in Belfast. Three months later, we get a visit from Unser telling us that JT had been in an accident. He'd been on his bike and hit a semi head on. We'd all rushed to the hospital. Clay and Jax had to hold Gemma up when the doctors told her that they'd done all they could, that it was up to JT now. It was two days later, when we got the call that JT had died due to his injuries. Gemma had locked herself in her bedroom and her house while Clay, Jax and I had tended to everything related to the funeral. I'd been the one to check on her, not Clay. Three days later, found us with all available stateside charters surrounded us in support as we laid the founding father to rest. After the funeral, with Gemma's support Clay was named the new President of Redwood, with Otto as his VP.
Six months later, just after Jax turned sixteen and started prospecting for the Club with his best friend Opie Winston, Gemma and Clay announced their engagement. Three months after, they were married and moved into a new house.
I've spent the last thirteen years, loving her from afar while I watch Clay get to be with her.
I'd just finished bagging up the last of Clay's guns when Gemma walked out from the back of the house and smiled at me as I took a big gulp of Vodka. "You want some orange juice with that?" She asked me.
I shook my head. "Naw I'm good." I told her with a smile. I would just have to keep loving her from afar.
