The Voice Inside My Head
By Morgan Jenson

Morgan POV
I've never been someone who acts spontaneously. I'm a bit OCD and like to plan things out ahead of time. I'm pretty sure writing The Voice Inside My Head is the most spontaneous thing I've ever done in my life. It's a bit sad to be honest. However, I do think I might be ready to break out of my shell, so to speak. Starting today, with Ethan.
I've just finished writing for the day. Bella went to the game with her dad which made me all nostalgic. It didn't feel right to end their time together at the game so I added in dinner as well. Once I wrote about where they went to dinner, I couldn't stop writing. The pull I have to these characters, the pull Edward and Bella have towards each other is so strong, that I had to change how/when they would meet. Again!
I log out of my laptop, clean off the desk, and send a quick text to Ethan. While I await his reply I grab my overnight bag. Making sure I have a few options to pick from in regards to sleepwear. We haven't had sex yet, but I'm more than ready. Ethan will be my first since Dean and I can't wait!
Hearing my phone go off, I see Ethan replied. I finish packing, grab my purse, and mentally check off the items I packed. I'm being spontaneous though and I'm too excited for what's to come.
"Fuck it, if I forgot anything, I'll buy it while we're in Atlanta."
I set the alarm, lock the door, throw my bag in the back seat, and get in the car. Taking a deep breath I place the manilla envelope I'm holding on the passenger seat next to me. Once I have my seatbelt on, I reverse out of my driveway, and head to Ethan's house.
My text to him was vague, just asking if he could take the day off tomorrow, and take a trip with me. Thankfully he was able to and said he'd be ready in 30 minutes.
I know it's baseball season and since we're both fans, I figured we'd take our first trip together, to Atlanta. A game and dinner sounded fucking great when I wrote it about earlier.
"If Bella can get what she wants, then so can I!"

Bella POV
I discreetly pinch my arm, which hurts, thankfully.
"It's not a dream!"
"I'm sorry, what was that?"
I finally look away from my menu and up at Edward. He's HERE! He's actually HERE!
"Oh, um…" I clear my throat, thankful I didn't actually yell 'it's not a dream', and he didn't hear me say it.
"Nothing. Um, what are you doing here?" I bite my lip, eagerly waiting for his reply.
"I'm here to celebrate tonight's win with my teammates. I have to admit, I was pretty stunned when I saw you. I didn't think I'd ever see you again."
"I didn't either."
I pause, feeling the need to explain why I couldn't use the tickets he left for me at TG. I swallow down the nervousness I feel, boldly grab his left hand with my right, and gently squeeze his fingers. Surprisingly, when I feel a shock, he laces our fingers together instead of pulling his hand back. He lightly squeezes my hand and when I respond in kind, he smiles. Releasing my bottom lip from my teeth, I smile back.
It's as if we're in our own little bubble, all I see and feel are him.
"Ahem, hello…Earth to Bella?"
I'm brought back to reality when I hear dad. It's too much like my dream, when dream Angela cleared her throat to get my attention. If this is a dream, I don't ever want to wake up. I don't want him to disappear!
My dad stands up and puts his hand out in order to shake Edward's hand. Edward squeezes my hand again and extends his right hand to my dad. I'm so glad I grabbed his left hand earlier and even happier he still hasn't let go. I don't think my feelings are one sided anymore.
"I'm not sure how you and Bella know each other, but I'm Charlie, Bella's dad. It's nice to meet you and congrats on the win, another great game. It's been a while since I've seen one in person, especially with just Bella and I."
"Thank you, Charlie. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Maybe next time you can take the whole family. I think I know someone who can get you and your family tickets."
Edward finishes with a wink my way. I need to explain to him what happened, but I'd like to do it without an audience.
"Alright, well…I'm going to the bar to grab a beer."
Dad had already turned to leave toward the bar before he even finished his sentence. My dad is the best!
I'm just about to explain the ticket fiasco to Edward when he turns in the opposite direction my dad went and gently pulls me with him. I'm not sure where we're going, but I'm okay with it since he's taking me with him.
Walking past all the tables, a near empty hallway, I see three doors. One has an exit sign above it but I'm unsure where the other two lead. I know it's not the restroom as the restrooms are in the opposite direction.
Edward stops us just before the door with the exit sign, looks back at me, and gives me a crooked smile. I can't help but return it with one of my own.
"Okay." Is all he says, then turns his head back to the door and proceeds to open it.
Once we're outside, he gently puts his hands on my hips, pushes me toward the brick wall, looking at me with questioning eyes. I'm not sure what he's looking for, but he must find it. Just as I'm about to try to explain myself and the ticket fiasco, I open my mouth, but he silences me with his lips on mine.
I don't hesitate to respond, the pull I feel for this man is unlike anything I've ever felt. His lips on mine, his strong hands grasping my hips, both are gentle yet firm. His lips are soft, but the roughness of the kiss, and our embrace is overwhelming. What I feel is all consuming, but in the best of ways.
All too soon, he pulls his lips from mine. The connection isn't lost however, as he's still gripping my hips with his hands. Our foreheads are touching, both of us breathing hard after our kiss. Looking down, I realize I've got my hands on his forearms, unsure of when I even grasped them. I can see my knuckles are tense with the grip I have on him, and notice the tension in his muscular forearms. Moving my eyes upward, I see his intense green eyes looking back at me.
"The day of the shoot," Edward begins.
I place my right hand on his chest, which thankfully stops Edward from continuing, so I can finally explain everything. I place my hand back on his arm, to keep our physical connection, and begin again.
"First, thank you for the tickets. I wanted to come, but I wasn't allowed to accept them. Twilight Graphics has a policy about…"
This time he stops me by placing a finger to my lips with his left hand. Just before I let out what can only be called a growl, due to my frustration, he continues.
"I know."
I can't hold in my shock and just before I begin a barrage of questions he keeps going.
"I called them, they explained it to me. I… Bella, when you didn't show up… I played horribly that day, but I knew. I just knew, deep down that my feelings couldn't be one sided. This pull I have toward you, for you. I know it doesn't make sense. I know we don't know each other, but I feel."
He pauses and takes my right hand in his placing our hands on his chest, over his heart. I can feel his heart beating, faster than it should be. His vibrant green eyes are staring into mine. They almost look vulnerable. I have to tell him how I feel. I need to!
"Bella, please... Please tell me you feel this connection?"

It's NOT a dream! This was their first REAL kiss and they popped my cherry as this is my first time writing a kiss. I hope it was all you hoped for.
Please review, I'm feeling a bit vulnerable now myself after writing this to be honest.
