Writer's Note: Happy Halloween everyone! Enjoy!
The whispering cold air of October rushed through the skies. The dark clouds were heavy, threatening a storm. This was the usual for Washington State. The temperature seemed to drop significantly in October, and snow threatened sooner rather than later in the season. The small town of Forks seemed to come alive when October rounded the corner. Houses were decorated to reflect the spirited season of Halloween. It was the one time a year when everyone seemed to come together as a town. The fall festival was held the first week of October and hay bales were stacked to create what felt like an endless maze for anyone who dared to enter. Hot cocoa was sold, and candy corn-flavored cotton candy was served to patrons who inhabited Forks. The old Byers Mansion was decorated to scare anyone who willed themselves to journey through the haunted mansion for a fair price. People dressed up throughout the month, especially on Halloween night. You had vampires and werewolves, witches and more. Kids dressed up as Power Rangers and Batman and even cuter princesses and black cats. It was certainly a thrill to be a part of Forks during the season. It was a magical month, more magical than what normal people could see.
"Bella!" Charlie Swan's voice ventured up the stairs, calling to his daughter. "School!"
Bella Swan, eighteen, high school senior.
Bella sighed and rolled out of bed, hitting the floor with a soft thud. She groaned. She hated school. She hated having to go to the small-town school, Forks High. She sighed and got to her feet, flipping her long dark hair back out of her face, before going to her closet and grabbing a black long-sleeved shirt and a pair of her dark wash jeans before she left her room to go to the bathroom to change and get ready for school. She stripped and looked at herself in her mirror. Her frame was small, though her breasts were plump and perky. The advantages of being eighteen. Her amber eyes followed down to her naval. She was nearly too thin. She sighed and then pulled on her clothes, before she brushed through her hair, braiding it quickly down one side and she brushed her teeth and left, grabbing her Converse from her closet and pulling them on. She grabbed her bag from her desk and her phone from the end table before trotting down the stairs.
Charlie's dark eyes spotted Bella as she roamed into the kitchen. He handed her the coffee thermos and smiled. "Caffeine is not a source of food."
"It is when you're me," Bella said and grabbed the navy blue thermos. "Thanks, Dad." She said and then she dashed out of the house.
Charlie smiled and shook his head and looked out the window at his daughter jumping into her old beat-up red truck and backing out of the driveway. He lifted his coffee mug to his lips and took a drink of the steaming liquid. His phone buzzed and he slipped it from his uniform pocket and looked at it. Bear Attack. He frowned and sighed. He finished his coffee before putting the mug in the sink, grabbing his gear and walking out the door to the station.
Bella pulled up at Forks High, home of the Spartans. The school was smaller than other schools she had attended. A whopping total of 358 students attended within these red brick walls. The front of the school was decorated and the Halloween theme spilled out everywhere. A large skeleton Spartan stood erect in the front entry of the school, no doubt the masterpiece of Alice Cullen.
There were kids at this school that had insane talent and then there were kids like Bella. Ordinary.
"Bella Bella Bella!" Jessica Stanley nearly exploded with excitement. Her long chestnut hair was pulled back in a ponytail and her small blue eyes displayed an arrangement of emotions, starting with excitement. Jessica was a friend or at the very least, she inserted herself into Bella's life as a friend. Bella didn't mind her. She was practically the opposite of Bella in every way, but Bella was tolerable of her hyperactive friend.
"Ugh Jess, it's too early to be this perky."
Jessica snorted and rolled her eyes. "No, you're just a vampire." She joked. "Guess what!"
Bella made a hmm noise as she opened her locker and grabbed her books for her next two classes. "Edward Cullen came to his senses and dumped his weird sister to ask you out to the Halloween Ball." She said out loud.
Jessica laughed a little. "Yes! Are you psychic?"
Bella blinked in surprise. "Wait what?"
"Edward asked me to the Halloween Ball. He and Alice are on the outs it seems."
"You're the rebound."
"Well, yes but Alice and Edward broke up right before the biggest part of senior year."
"They still live together. He could be using you." Bella said closed her locker and leaned against it. "Be careful?"
Jessica sighed. "I know." She said and then smiled. "It was always weird they dated anyway though. They're siblings."
"Technically all the Cullen's are adopted." Bella pointed out.
"Still weird," Jessica said and the first bell rang, demanding everyone make their way to homeroom. "I'll see you at lunch!" she said and dashed away, hoping to check her makeup in the bathroom first before getting to class.
Bella sighed and shook her head. She would never understand the energy levels that lived inside Jessica Stanley. She put her out of her head for now and went on to homeroom.
The end of the day couldn't come any faster. Bella was mentally exhausted from the day as she was with every school day, but she survived. She walked out to her truck and opened the door to toss her bag in. She glanced up to see Jasper Whitlock-Cullen coming in her direction. She smiled a little and closed the door of her truck before leaning against it. "Fancy meeting you here." She said shoving her hands into her jacket pockets.
Jasper grinned. He was tall and slender with definite muscle definition. He didn't talk a lot during school and he was usually trying to stay out of the center of attention. That was his brother's job. His blond hair was shaggy, brushing his shoulders in a light tussle of waves. His eyes were a honey color, unique to his overall skin tone, which was pale. "Well, it is high school." His Texan drawl made him stand out compared to his other adoptive siblings. He was the last to be adopted, so he was new to the rainy, cold climate of Washington State.
"Alright, Texas. What can I do for you today?"
"Well Arizona, I was thinking fall break starts tomorrow and I wanted to see if you wanted to join me at this cabin," Jasper said and leaned against the truck beside her, his body angled towards her.
Bella made a hmmm sound. "Cabin in the woods? Just me and you?"
"Oh, how I wish," Jasper said with a grin. "But no. My dumb brother and Rose then some people from school. The usual. Mike, Eric and Angela, maybe the new guy. He seemed chill today."
"Stefan Salvatore?" Bella asked with a raise of her brow. "He is pretty chill. I only know his name because he said 'Hello I am Stefan Salvatore. My locker is stuck is this normal.'" She said with a snort.
Jasper leaned in, his nose almost touching hers. "All the lockers stick."
Bella took her index finger and bopped his nose, making him smile. "Well, yes. That is true. In any case, a cabin in the woods sounds fun. I'm down. We leaving tomorrow?"
Jasper leaned back. "Yeah. Told the others to meet here. Mike said we could pile in the truck. Might be easier to ride out into seclusion." He said with a slight waggle of his brows.
Jessica darted over, breathless by the time she arrived. "Guys. Did you hear?"
Jasper put a hand on Jessica's arm to steady her as she swayed. "Slow down Jess, what's wrong?"
"Principal Eaton was found dead in his home office." Jessica breathed out as she caught her breath.
Bella frowned. "That's why he wasn't here today. What happened to him?"
Jessica shook her head. "I don't know. I figured you could ask Charlie."
Charlie was chief of police here in Forks so of course he would have all the answers. But Bella doubted that he would just openly tell her what happened to the beloved principal of Forks High.
"I'll try, but I won't see him probably until we get back from the cabin."
"Oh yeah. We're meeting here at 9, right?" Jessica said and looked at Jasper.
"Yeah. Edward is looking forward to it." Jasper said with a nod and then glanced up to see Emmett waving him on. "Alright, gotta run. I'll see you both in the morning." He said and snuck a kiss in on Bella's cheek then laughed when she rubbed it off and stuck her tongue out at him.
Jessica smiled and bumped Bella's shoulder with hers. "I think he has a thing for you."
Bella snorted. "No. That's never gonna happen." She said and then leaned away from her door. "Your dad coming to get you? Your car is still broken right?"
"Yeah, but I was going to walk down to the café."
"No need. Hop in." Bella said and Jessica clapped her hands together before running around to the passenger side and jumping in.
The next morning, Bella grabbed her bag tossed it in her truck and drove off towards school. Fall break was a godsend. A whole week with no mind-numbing lessons. They could be normal teenagers and go to haunted houses and enjoy the Halloween festivities the town had for the next three weeks, but Bella was inclined to spend time in a cabin with friends over being crowded in town anyway.
She parked her rusty old truck next to Jasper's black Jeep Wrangler. She got out and he walked over to her, handing her coffee from the Old Towne Coffee shop. She could instantly smell the same macadamia nut flavor before she brought the Styrofoam cup to her lips.
"Mmm. My favorite." Bella said with a smile.
"I know," Jasper said with an easy smile.
Once everyone arrived. Mike, Eric, Angela, Jessica, Emmett, Rosalie, Edward, Stefan and the Quileute native Jacob Black. They ironed out the details of how to stick everyone in Mike's truck and Jasper's Jeep.
The cabin was secluded, sitting off inside the darkness of the evergreens that shrouded it from aerial view. Even with it being daytime, the overcast of the clouds and misty atmosphere caused it to look and feel like it was getting dark out. There were several rooms in the cabin. Jessica was sharing a room with Angela since Edward picked the room Jasper was going to be staying in with Stefan. Jessica seemed slightly disappointed, but she didn't say anything. Emmett and Rose were shacking up in one room then Mike, Eric and Jake took another. Bella opted to use the couch since she knew there wasn't a fifth room to accommodate her.
Everyone was doing their tasks. Gathered firewood for the fireplace, filling the fridge with the cold items they brought with them to cook while they were there for the week. Disappearing into a room to make out. That mainly pertained to Emmett and Rosalie.
Bella plopped down on the couch and took her book out she was reading. To Kill a Mockingbird. She got through a couple of chapters before she felt the couch dip and her legs move. She looked at Jasper as he sat there and placed her feet back in his lap. "Where is everyone?" she said, noticing that everyone had scattered.
"Flag football. Emmett got away from Rose long enough to inspire everyone to play. Even Jessica and Angela. "Jasper said and then he popped her Converse shoes off her feet and messaged her feet for her. "You always have cold feet. That's a sign of poor circulation you know."
Bella rolled her eyes. "I'm circulating enough thank you. It's this damn rainy town. It's always cold here."
"Fire in the fireplace is making it pretty toasty in here though." Jasper pointed out and then massaged up her calf a little with one of his hands.
Bella closed her eyes and sighed. Jasper's hands felt good. This was a usual thing between them. He massaged her feet often. She considered him her very best friend. She didn't think she could imagine a world without him. His hand moved up higher right under her knee and he squeezed gently she squeaked her eyes flying open as he pressed her tickle spot. "I knew it. You had an ulterior motive to rubbing my feet."
Jasper chuckled and then poked the same spot again. "I'm sorry Arizona but you make the cutest mouse sounds when you're tickled. Can't be helped." He said, feigning innocence.
Bella hit him with the pillow she was leaning on and he grabbed it and hopped her on the head with it. Soon they were wrestling together, falling off into the hard wooden floor of the cabin, but neither cared.
Jasper pinned her under him, using his height to his advantage by using his legs to stop her legs from trying to kick him away. His hands went to her wrists and he pinned them above her head and smiled down at her. Her breathing came in deeper pants as she exerted herself to wrestle him. "You don't win. Ever."
Bells stuck her tongue out at him again and wrinkled her nose up. "I will get you one day."
"Doubtful Arizona." He said and stared at her. Her hair wasn't braided today. It was down, long past her shoulders. Her amber eyes seemed to take on a more violet glow in the lighting.
"You are heavy," Bella said as she wiggled under him. She arched up slightly, her breast pressing against his chest when she did so. His grip loosened on her wrist so she wouldn't hurt herself. She slid her hands out of his grasp and she poked in his ribs which she knew was a typical tickle spot and he chuckled, leaning up a little and giving her just the right angle to topple him over. She straddled him now, her hands instantly capturing his wrists and pinning them to the floor beside his head. "Ha." She said victoriously. Her dark hair fell foward like a curtain and it tickled his face.
Jasper smiled, impressed that she seemed so satisfied that she had managed to get on top, even if he let her. "Touché Arizona." He said with a grin.
Bella gazed down at him; her smile glued to her face as she watched him stare back at her. She had a small urge rise inside her and she thought about what it would be like to kiss him. He was her best friend and she didn't think about it ever, but what if she just kissed him now? Would that change everything? It's not that she had those kinds of feelings for him. She could never date Jasper. That would be too odd and then there was the fact that he didn't see her that way either. She bit her lip as she thought.
Jasper watched her face as thoughts ran through her. He wanted to know what she was thinking about. She hadn't moved since she pinned him like this and he was very aware of her ass, how nice it felt sitting on him like this. Her body was close to his. When she bit her lip, he smiled. She did that when she was thinking hard about something. "Arizona?"
Bella blinked a little and released his wrists. She sat up a little, her ass shifting against Jasper as she did. She tucked her hair behind her ear. "Did I do the thing again?"
Jasper tucked his arms behind his head to prop himself up a little. He smiled. "You did. Penny for your thoughts?"
Bella wiggled a little and it had Jasper making a mental effort not to get hard right now. "Um. Well."
Jasper saw the blush creep onto her face as she tried to formulate her thoughts into words. She shifted again and he had to do something now to keep her from rubbing against him like this. He slid his legs up, his knees bumping her and she slid forward a little, sitting more on his stomach now. He wasn't sure that was any better. "You know you can tell me anything. "
"Yeah." Bella agreed simply. She shook her head and then she got up. She shook off the urge to kiss Jasper and just reached down and helped him to his feet.
Jasper smiled at her reaching a hand out to smooth her hair back for her. "Whatever it is, I'm sure it's okay." He reassured her. "When have I ever teased you?"
"Five minutes ago."
"Okay besides that," Jasper said with a nod.
"Yesterday."
Jasper chuckled. "Okay. When have I ever teased you when you're being serious?"
Bella smiled a little. "It's nothing. Just me being weird Bella."
Jasper put both his hands on her shoulders and she looked up at him. He gave her a gentle squeeze before running his hands down her arms to her hands. He laced his fingers with hers and then moved her arms up like she was flapping her wings. "What do I say about being weird?"
"That being weird is a side effect of being awesome." She mumbled.
Jasper leaned in. "I'm sorry what was that?" he said pretending he didn't hear her.
Bella laughed a little. "Being weird is a side effect of being awesome," she said clearly.
Jasper grinned and then kissed her cheek like he had yesterday. This time Bella didn't wipe it off and it made him pause to study her. He let one of her hands go to reach up and cup her face. It was gentle, a simple caress. Her amber eyes focused on him, watching him as his thumb moved to trace her bottom lip but that was because she was trying to bite it again. He didn't know how he might have gone this long without kissing her. He wanted to, badly. To press his lips to hers just to see what would happen. He felt her shiver a little and that seemed to break him out of a small fog.
"You're cold," Jasper said and dropped his hand from her face.
Bella swallowed and went to pull away, but his hand tightened on hers and he pulled her back towards him causing her to collide against his hard body. "Jasper…" she murmured as she looked up at him.
"Don't say anything for a moment Arizona," Jasper said, his tone was lower, a slight sense of sexual desire hinted. His face got closer to hers, his lips just a hair away from touching hers. Bella's eyes fluttered close and she tilted her chin up, angling closer to him. His lips were warm on hers. It was simple. He brushed his lips against hers softly, as if he was testing the water with her. He brought his hand up and tangled it in her hair at the back of her head as he pushed her closer to him, her lips parting slightly so he could slide his tongue inside against her. Her heart felt like it was about to fly out of her chest, the way it pounded inside her, like a roaring ocean crashing its waves against the shore. Her body pressed against him and excitement filled her. She wanted his hands to touch her, anywhere. Hormones were raging for both Bella and Jasper. Teenage spirit lifting inside. They wanted each other, that much was clear by the way their bodies reacted to one another. The kiss deepened and Jasper shifted, his hand if not in her hair going to her waist and circling her. He brought his other hand down to embrace her fully, his body warm against her thin frame. He angled his head a little more, leaving her lips to kiss along her jawline towards her ear. "Bella…" he murmured low, his hot breath tickling her.
Bella bit her lip, a soft moan escaping her lips as her body felt tingles from where his breath had tickled her. "Mmm."
"Are you okay?" Jasper whispered, one of his hands trailing up her back lightly, finding the most sensitive track.
Bella swallowed and nodded. "I'm okay." She reassured quietly.
"If I let you go, are you going to fall over?"
"Yes," Bella admitted without hesitation.
"I won't let you go then," Jasper said and then shifted his hands down to hoist her up, her legs automatically coming up around him, her arms circling his neck.
Bella felt her head spin from the high she felt after kissing him. She didn't know if would feel this way, and she wasn't sure she wanted him to stop what he was doing.
Jasper carried her the small distance to the room he was sharing with two others and closed the door behind him before bringing her over to the bed he had claimed. He lay her down, his mouth covering hers again. He longed for this sort of intimacy. He craved her touch. Their tongues tangled together briefly before he left her mouth again and kissed at her throat and she moaned, shuddering under him, letting him sample her delicate skin. His hands grazed her bare skin as he pushed under the material of her shirt. His hands felt hot, impossibly so, but she arched her back a little, wanting the closeness.
"Jasper…"
Jasper sat on the couch, lifted Bella's feet and placed them in his lap. She was snoozing on the couch and looked comfortable. He smiled a little unlaced her Converse shoes and pulled them off. He glanced at his watch. It was almost dinnertime and he was thinking about starting the grille for the steaks. He looked over at Bella's sleeping face and she moaned a little. It was slightly breathy like she was having an intense dream, one that seemed sexual. He smiled again and rubbed her feet gently, moving his hands up her calves, kneading the muscles and she moaned again, her breath hitching a little in her throat. She shifted in her sleep, rolling a little, giving Jasper a better view of her face. She looked like she was having a really good dream. One that Jasper didn't dare interrupt. He was curious about what she was dreaming about that had her shuddering and moaning again. They were low moans, nothing loud enough to draw other attention in the cabin, but he was there and he felt that somehow he was violating an intimate moment for herself. She likely didn't know that she made sounds in her sleep, so it would be embarrassing for her to know that she did otherwise. He rubbed her muscles some more, rubbing a hand up and down her calf. Her body shifted, mostly her hips, as if she was beckoning him and she moaned again, breathy and it made him smile again. He shook his head but kept his hands appropriately at her calves and feet.
"Jasper…" she moaned out so slightly that Jasper wasn't sure he heard her right. She gasped in her sleep and said his name again.
It was that kind of dream. A fantasy about him and that made his cock react a little. He paused rubbing her calf to straighten his dick, adjusting in his pants as he thought about her having some sort of sexual dream about him.
Bella shuddered in her sleep, her body shifting on the couch, her legs rubbing over him. It was hard for him to disguise how hard his cock was, so when her leg rubbed against it, he let out a sigh. He closed his eyes, trying to think of anything else. But he still massaged her foot as a distraction. When he couldn't stand it anymore, he got up off the couch, trying not to wake or disturb her and he went towards the bathroom. He thought cold water splashed on his face would do the trick.
Stefan opened the front door of the cabin, a gust of cold air wandering in when he did, but it stopped when he shut the door. He walked into the kitchen and opened the fridge, thinking about food now and that the steaks should probably be ready from Jasper setting them in to marinate earlier. He looked at his watch when he got an alert.
[Damon] Be careful in the woods.
Stefan sighed, grabbed the steaks out of the fridge, and set them on the counter. He heard Bella's soft moans coming from the couch and he frowned. He walked over to her, lay a hand on her shoulder, and shook her gently. "Hey."
Bella felt the weight of sleep as she woke up and felt very disoriented. She was sleeping? Everything with Jasper felt real. Her cheeks flooded with heat as she thought about what she was dreaming about and she looked up to see Stefan's spring eyes staring back at her. "Hey."
"You good?" Stefan asked, studying the way her cheeks flushed.
"Yeah, I must have fallen asleep," Bella said and sat up, straightening on the couch.
"Must have. I'm about to fire up the grill for the steaks. You wanted to toss a salad right?" Stefan asked.
Bella nodded. She found Stefan interesting. He was new to Forks High. He had only been going there for a couple of weeks now, but she didn't talk to him often. He played football, which was the extent of her knowledge, other than he wore the same leather jacket every day and rode a motorcycle. His dark hair was styled rather perfectly on his head and she wondered how long he spent getting it to stay that way, but she would never ask. He had a strong jawline, and his face was pretty symmetrical for the most part. He was shorter than Jasper by about three inches, but Stefan's shoulders were wider, she noted. "I'll start on that."
"Any specific way you want your steak cooked?"
Jasper came out of the bathroom. "Medium rare, but more on the medium side." He said. "I'll help. I'll get the grille started. I think Emmett dashed to the store to get liquor since that was the thing we forgot. He took Mike and Rose with him." He announced. His honey eyes swung back to Bella. Her cheeks were a little rosy, but she seemed fine otherwise. When their eyes met, she blushed a little and that made him smile to himself.
Bella got to her feet and realized her shoes were off and she frowned. "I don't recall taking my shoes off." She murmured.
Stefan raised a brow. "That's odd."
"That was me," Jasper confessed. "I was rubbing your feet while you slept." He said and then walked towards the front door. "Grille first, then food. I admit I'm rather hungry. Time got away from us." he said and fist-bumped Stefan.
Bella nodded and glanced at her wrist at her watch. "Oh, yeah. It's five." She shook her head. "I slept so long."
"Well, you probably needed it," Stefan said and then he went back to the kitchen and started washing his hands while Jasper opened the door and walked outside to start the grille up so they could all not starve to death.
Bella looked into the orange and red glow of the flames that danced frantically around in the fire. The air was cold, but she was bundled up for the occasion. The cabin had a nice firepit outside on a stone patio that had handcrafted log seating that circled the firepit. The steaks were amazing, the salad was pretty decent too and now it was completely dark outside. The faint glow of the moon could be seen through the matted canopies of the evergreens, but the fire created the ambient glow, that seemed to cast shadows along the stone as it danced.
"I think it's pretty fucking scary," Emmett commented, lifting his cup to his lips. Tequila was never a good idea with him involved, but it was fall break and who the fuck cared anyways.
Edward snorted a little, his arm draped around Jessica as she snuggled against his side on the loveseat that hosted a teal and white padded seat, making it comfortable for someone to lay on. "That's not scary."
Bella shrugged. "I don't know, axe murderer sneaking up on someone unexpectedly is pretty scary." She was sitting between Jasper and Stefan on the couch part of the outdoor furniture.
Jasper took a drink of the beer he was holding before moving an arm up on the back of the couch and leaning more towards Bella. "They haven't seen scary. Replace axe murderer with a chainsaw."
Bella rolled her eyes and lifted her cup that had Malibu rum in it and took a heavy drink. "Okay, Texas. That's original."
Jasper grinned. "Hey, chainsaws are scary. You're telling me that if a man came out of the woods in a mask toting a chainsaw, you wouldn't jump up and take off."
"I said it wasn't original. Texas Chainsaw Massacre was a subpar film compared to the others in the horror industry."
Stefan snorted this time. "Texas Chainsaw was a masterpiece." He said and then high-fived Jasper.
"Okay, name any other movie that set the bar higher than Texas Chainsaw." Jasper challenged.
"Orphan, The Exorcist, Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street, It, The Conjuring, American Psycho, The Shining, and- "
"Okay okay." Jasper conceded. "Sure, there are a lot of good horror films. Texas Chainsaw is just a Halloween staple."
Bella took another heavy drink of her Malibu rum, emptying her cup before she got up from her spot to go inside and get a refill. Stefan followed her in, and she handed him a beer when she opened the fridge to grab the rum out.
"Thanks," Stefan said and took the top off. He watched her pour herself some more rum before she set it back in the fridge. She turned and looked at him, lifting the cup to her lips. "So, what do you think?"
"About what?" Stefan asked as he leaned on the handmade wooden bar in the kitchen while he took another drink of the beer.
"Cabin in the woods," Bella said and took a drink.
"Oh, I've stayed in cabins before," Stefan said with a nod. "Honestly, I wasn't going to come but then my brother told me that it would do me some good to get out and make friends."
Bella smiled a little. "You picked the strangest crowd. You play football, why not hang out with the football guys?"
Stefan shrugged. "I don't know. I don't quite fit in."
"Good," Bella said and then left the kitchen and walked back out where the fire was going.
Stefan watched her leave. He found her interesting.
Bella returned to her spot next to Jasper by the fire.
"Truth or dare Bella," Jessica said, practically bouncing in her seat.
"Oh, we decided on truth or dare while I was inside," Bella said and took a drink.
Stefan returned just in time to hear that they were playing truth or dare and sat next to Bella.
"It'll be fun," Emmett said, throwing a log in the firepit. "Come on Bells. You know you want to."
Bella sighed. "Okay. Fine. Truth."
Jessica giggled. "Do you miss Arizona?"
Bella arched a brow. "Well, yeah. I miss Arizona. It's warm there." She said with a smile. "Um, Emmett. Truth or dare." She said and the big goofball chuckled.
"Dare. Always."
Truth and Dare got silly. They laughed until their sides hurt, and alcohol was plenty to blame for everything said and done. Bella felt like she was floating because of the alcohol running through her. They migrated inside the cabin and were all on the floor by the fireplace.
Emmett set the empty beer bottle on the floor and spun it. "Fine way to end the night." He said and it landed on Rosalie, which made him grin and lean over and cup her face before he kissed her deeply.
"Spin the bottle works when there are more girls here Em," Edward said, a little slurred.
"Nah," Emmett said when he broke the kiss. "I'll kiss any of you guys right here and now, don't matter what the bottle lands on."
"Oh really?" Bella said with a laugh. "Prove it."
"Alright," Emmett said and spun the bottle. When it landed on Jake, Emmett leaned across, grabbed the front of Jake's shirt hauled him towards him, and planted a kiss straight on his lips.
Everyone roared with laughter, even Jake, who was incredibly drunk, but he found the whole thing comical.
"Alright Jake, spin it," Bella said and Jake spun the bottle and it landed on Angela. Angela blushed and she leaned over to kiss Jake. It was just a small kiss, nothing flashy, but it made everyone smile and whistle at them.
Angela spun the bottle and it landed on Jessica. They smiled at each other and Jessica kissed Angela's cheek. There was some mild disappointment from some of the guys, mainly Mike and Eric, but they moved on.
Jessica spun the bottle and it landed on Eric and then Eric spun the bottle and it landed on Stefan and then Stefan spun the bottle and it landed on Bella.
Bella smiled and leaned over and her mouth brushed Stefan's. It was simple at first before their lips parted and their tongues slid together, tasting the alcohol on each other. Emmett whistled and cheered for Stefan and Bella as they kissed, longer than what should have been normal for spin the bottle. Bella leaned back, breaking the kiss and bit her lip, smiling a little.
Stefan smiled back at her and took a drink of his beer as he leaned back.
Bella shook off the kiss and then spun the bottle since it was her turn and the bottle spun and spun until it landed on Jasper. Her amber eyes swept across to look at her best friend. Her dream of him earlier in the day came back to her as he leaned towards her. She half expected him to kiss her, but he dipped to the side and kissed her cheek instead and it made her smile.
Jasper didn't like seeing Stefan and Bella kiss. It pained him in his gut to witness her locking lips with anyone other than him, but he respected her enough to not pressure her into a kiss she would be embarrassed about.
"I don't know about all of you guys, but I'm beat," Jake said out loud what everyone was thinking.
There was some groaning, but everyone waivered deciding that it was probably smart to end the drinking games for the night and get some rest. Emmett stood and then pulled Rosalie up and hoisted her up and put her on his shoulder and she giggled as he spanked her on the ass and carried her off towards the room, they were staying in. Eric and Angela disappeared to the room, giggling a little as they left. Edward helped Jessica to her feet before he pulled her along with him to the shared room. Jake and Mike resigned to shuffling sleeping bags on the floor by the fireplace since they were certain they didn't want to walk in on anyone else doing the deed. Bella got up and swayed a little. She felt hands on her waist and she glanced at Jasper. "Mmm. Thank you." She murmured and he smiled at her, before moving his hands away. Stefan had sat down on the couch briefly to take off his boots, but the alcohol wore him out and soon he was out.
Bella smiled and then walked over, pulled the blanket off the couch and covered him up before she walked into the kitchen and threw empty cups in the trash bin. Jasper opened the fridge, grabbed a water bottle and opened it. He took a long drink before he offered it to Bella. She took it and took a drink.
"So, your couch is occupied," Jasper said with a grin. "Come on. The bed in my room isn't too bad." He said and motioned for Bella to follow him to the room that Edward and Eric didn't go into. Jasper flipped on the light once inside and there were a set of bunk beds and then a full bed that had Jasper's duffle sitting on it. He went and moved it off the bed so Bella could lie down.
Bella bit her lip a little as she thought about her dream from earlier. Lying on this very bed while Jasper did things to her.
"Arizona?" Jasper called out to her.
Bella blinked a couple of times but she looked at Jasper and smiled. "Thanks. I can sleep on the bunks. No need to put you out."
"The mattresses are shit on the bunks. Might as well sleep on the floor with those things." Jasper said. "Which is why you deserve the bed and I'll sleep on the bunk." He said with a smile.
Bella frowned. "No, you'll wake up with a stiff back. Your rotator cuff injury you-"
Jasper stepped forward and put a finger to her lips to make her stop talking. "I will be fine. Come on, get in bed." He ushered, steering her by her shoulders to sit her down on the bed. He then bent down and pulled her shoes back off and set them on the floor. He then massaged her foot a little before he shifted her in the bed, swinging her legs up on the bed.
Bella started to protest but he shushed her. She sighed and leaned back on the bed and let him pull the covers up over her, tucking her in. She fluttered her eyes shut as she felt sleepy nearly instantly now that she was warm in a bed.
Jasper smiled and then went and flipped the light off. He stretched a little before he pulled his hoodie off over his head and then he pulled his white T-shirt off as well. He walked over to the bunk and sat down so he could pull his boots off before he stood against and unfastened his belt. The metal belt buckle was the last buckle his dad had won on the circuit for bull riding at the rodeo so it was very dear to him. When he pushed his jeans down, his buckle clanked a little bit it was the only sound in the room. He was wearing boxer briefs and even though there was a slight chill in the room, he found it hard to sleep when he was too hot and he tended to run hot at night. He shifted into the cool sheets of the lower bunk, pulled the quilt up right below his chest, tucked his arm behind his head, and stared up at the bottom of the top bunk.
Bella had only glanced at Jasper when he pulled his shirt off. It wasn't the first time she had seen him without a shirt but this time, seeing him shirtless made the heat rise to her face a little. She shut her eyes and tried to make herself fall asleep but the silence suddenly made her feel very sober and awake. The faint howl of a wolf sounded outside, somewhere in the distance and it had her shifting in the bed.
"You good Arizona?" Jasper asked, somehow sensing her anxiety.
"Yeah. I forget about wildlife sometimes." Bella admitted. "Are you okay Texas?"
"I'm alright." Jasper lied. The mattress was hard and it did hurt his shoulder a little but he would never admit it.
Bella was quiet again, but she lay there awake. She was thinking about what her dad said about the bear attacks lately. That's why he had her pack bear spray. She would never admit that it was a fear of hers. Bears. She felt safer in larger groups but at night, when she was alone with her thoughts, that's when all her anxiety she pushed aside for the whole day, started eating at her.
Jasper sensed her anxiety it kept stewing. "Do you want to talk about bears?" he asked, already knowing that she was obsessing about it.
"Do you read minds or something?"
Jasper smiled. "No, but I know you better than you know you." He said.
Bella sighed. "I wasn't thinking about bears …"
"Until the wolf howled," Jasper said gently. "It's okay. Bears can't make it into the cabin and I didn't see any sign of bears when I checked out the perimeter earlier with Em and Edward." He reassured.
Bella trusted him. She nodded, even though he couldn't see her and she shut her eyes. "Thank you." She nearly whispered.
The silence fell around them again and that brought the anxiety back. She sighed and sat up in bed, the covers falling. She pulled her hoodie off and tossed it on the floor and she unhooked her bra under her shirt. She was uncomfortable with it and when she got anxious, she got fidgety.
Jasper rolled on his side and looked across the darkness of the room. "Want me to tell you a bedtime story?" he poked fun, lightening the mood.
Bella snorted. "Does it have chainsaws?"
"Damn. You got me." Jasper said with a chuckle.
Bella smiled and thought about how much better she would feel if he was lying next to her. She shook away the thought but she went back to biting her lip.
"Arizona if you have a thought, speak your mind. I don't make judgments." Jasper said and propped himself up on his elbow.
Bella sighed. "Just… can you…."
"Rub your feet until you fall asleep?"
Bella smiled a little. "Please?" it was innocent enough. He always rubbed her feet for her. She watched him get out of the bunk shirtless and only in his boxer briefs and walk over to the bed. He climbed in at the foot of the bed flipped the covers back and grabbed her foot and started massaging it. She lay back in the bed and sighed, enjoying his hands on the arches of her feet. She swore that he could be a masseuse when he grew up. She sighed a pleasant sigh as she felt his hands move up her calves. Flashes of her dream came back to her as she lay there. His hands were as hot as she felt in her dream. Her head felt like it was floating now as the anxiety started slipping away from her. The anxiety has masked the effects of the alcohol she has drank. She sighed again as he stroked her calves, one of his hands dancing up higher over her knee to rub the part of her leg right above her kneecap. She didn't realize that she needed that spot massaged, but she was grateful he had thought about it.
"Your muscles are tight in your legs," Jasper commented as he massaged a little deeper. "What do you do all day that makes them this tight?"
"I run," Bella said.
"I thought you quit track and field when you moved to Washington."
Bella nodded. "Yeah, but I run in the afternoons. I didn't run today. So my muscles might be tight since I didn't do my normal routine." She explained.
Jasper didn't know that she still went running. He thought he knew everything about her, but it was nice being surprised from time to time. He smiled and ran his one hand up higher on her thigh, kneading the muscle in her thigh. She moaned a little from the tension releasing in her thigh and he smiled again. "If I had known you were running still, I would have been massaging your whole leg, you silly girl."
Bella didn't want him to stop touching her but he had and it made her open her eyes to look at him. He was shifting a little, tucking his legs under him before he got into a better position to rub both of her legs fully. His hands resumed, running up and down her legs from her thigh to her foot and it felt heavenly. This was what it felt like to float without tension or stress. She felt amazing and it started moving the chemicals around in her brain more. Alcohol could have been a factor but she was still too pleased to care about anything else.
"Arizona. Take your pants off." Jasper said suddenly.
Bella opened her eyes and looked at him. "What?"
"You're wearing jeans. It's easy to get to your calves and feet but your other parts, not so much." He explained.
Bella nodded. That made sense. Her hands went to the button on her jeans and her fingers somehow felt clumsy. She struggled a little before Jasper helped her. His hands were gentle as they unfastened her jeans and he tugged them down. She lifted her butt enough for him to take her pants off. She was wearing pink cotton panties and she wished for once, she had pretty panties like most girls but she didn't say anything. His hands returned to massaging up and down her leg from the thigh to her foot and she admitted it felt even more amazing as his hands touched her skin. It made her purr inside as she soaked in the pleasure it gave her. She felt high again and she worried she would crash land once this night was over and she'd wake up in the morning with probably a hangover.
Jasper watched her face. The only light in the room came from the stars that managed to peak around the tree tops. He saw her fully relaxed as he massaged her. He knew soon, she would fall asleep and all would be right in the world.
He loved how her skin felt, touching his. His hands molded her muscles as he massaged and he enjoyed the way it felt to run his hands over her. He wanted to run his hands all over her body, but he wouldn't dare make that leap.
She made a mmm sound when his fingers brushed a little higher on her thigh before he ran his hands down again. It sent a tingles through her and she felt her panties dampen a little. She didn't realize she moaned out loud until he did it again, his fingers brushing only slightly higher. Her body wanted more than just his hands on her legs but she stayed quiet.
Jasper smiled a little and spoke. "Need me to massage anywhere else?" he ventured to ask.
Bella bit her lip as she thought about asking him to rub her back. "Maybe."
"Contrary to popular belief. I am not a mind reader but I'm going to assume it's your back. Go on flip over." Jasper said and she rolled onto her stomach. Jasper's eyes ran over the swell of her ass just briefly before he ran his hands up her legs from the back this time. She sighed as he kneaded the back of her thighs before he shifted his touch. He had to shift to somewhat straddle her, careful not to put pressure anywhere on her and then his hands slid to the small of her back his thumbs pushing in circles over her muscles. He pushed under her shirt as he continued to massage her back then he moved his hands up and he massaged her shoulders. She sighed again as she melted under his touch. Her body felt incredible right now and she didn't want him to stop.
Jasper moved his hands back down to her lower back and massaged his way back up to her shoulders then back down. He ran his hands down her sides too, a gentle motion that had her shuddering a little. He did it again and then once more until she sighed out again, still accepting of his touch. He fought hard to keep his dick from hardening right now as he thought about things he could do to her right now that would be a nice massage but also crossing a boundary, he wasn't willing to do.
Bella felt Jasper's hands hesitate a little as he massaged her lower back and she did something bold. She reached and pulled at her shirt, pulling it over her head. So she was wearing only her panties now, but she was lying on her stomach.
Jasper smiled as he pushed his hands back up her back to her shoulders. "Anywhere else?"
Bella bit her lip and summoned the courage to flip over. She did and he let her. She looked up at him, heat rising to her face a little. Her heart stuttered in her chest a little as she waited anxiously for him to do or say something. She couldn't find her voice to speak right now anyway.
Jasper swept his eyes over her body. She was beautiful. He always thought she was. But she was nearly naked now beneath him and he couldn't stop his cock from hardening now as he semi-straddled her. His hands moved though, moving over her stomach. He moved them slowly up and stopped right below her breast and then he moved them down again. He stopped at the top of her panties and he saw the emotion roll over her face as he continued to massage her gently. Then he edged back up with his hands, he left his fingers to brush the lower swell of her breast and watched her breath hitch and she shifted her hips slightly.
"Arizona, you're gonna have to give me explicit permission to touch you everywhere," Jasper said, his voice strained a little.
Bella's eyes opened and looked at him. She sat up then, her gaze closer now. His hands moved to her shoulders and he squeezed. "Touch me…" she murmured. She didn't know how badly she needed this until his hands dropped and cupped her breast firmly. She moaned out some as his thumbs ran over her hardening nipples before he massaged her gently. She yielded to him completely now, her body alive like a livewire sending a current through her body.
"Kiss me." She beckoned now and his lips met hers for the first time. It was slow, seductive, the way their mouths teased each other, sampled. She pushed up, sliding more into his lap so she could have more control. She didn't know how she got this confident, but she was now and she was going to use that to her advantage right now. She slid her hips in a dance over his cock. She could feel how hard he was, his boxer briefs and her panties were the only two things holding them back. But feeling the bulge of his dick made her wetter. She wanted to know what it felt for him to be inside her, pushing deep. She knew he was large by the way he felt right now. Her hands ran up his chest and he shivered a little. His mouth sought to conquer hers as the kissing intensified and she ground her hips to his a few more times. She was hot and she was extremely wet and horny. She didn't want the barriers anymore so she shifted to pull at her panties to give her more freedom. She reached for the waistband of his boxer briefs and he stopped her.
"Mmm. Arizona. Might want to back it down a little." He murmured against her lips. "You're not sober." He said and kissed her softly.
"I'm not blackout drunk Jasper, I know my mind," Bella said, a little upset he stopped.
Jasper kissed her softly, anyway, slowing down everything. "Alcohol lowers inhibitions." He said as his hands moved up her sides and he went back to thumbing her nipples.
"You drank too," Bella murmured and moved her hands up his chest, her nails scratching him lightly in a tease.
Jasper kissed her neck some, his teeth grazing gently as she slid her hips again. She was naked on his lap. He felt the warmth of her wet pussy as she slid against him. "Mmm. But I'm not a lightweight." He said and leaned his mouth down and kissed her collarbone.
Bella twirled her hips again and he moaned without hesitation. Her hands traveled back down and ran over his cock through the thin material. "I want you…." She breathed out. She moved her hands over the waistband and dipped her hand inside and stroked his dick. He was large and he was extremely hard and she wanted him inside her. She wanted it badly. She pushed at his waistband some more, popping his cock out. Jasper groaned as she squeezed him in her palm. He wanted to bury his cock inside her deep and just satisfy every urge both of them had.
"Bella. Wait." He managed to say and he put his forehead to hers as he gathered himself. It was hard to do when her hand was on his cock.
"I misread the situation," Bella said and released his cock from her hand. She felt her heart slam up into her throat and the heat of embarrassment rise from the rejection. She shifted to get out of his lap but he stopped her. "I'm sorry. I thought…. I thought that this is what you wanted."
Jasper sighed. "I want to. So bad… Bella, I don't… I don't want to fuck this up. I don't date for a reason and… and I fell in love with you and-"
"You love me?" Bella murmured, shocked to hear those words come from him.
Jasper brought a hand up and cupped her face. His eyes stared at her, serious. "I love everything about you. The way you say my name. The way you scrunch your nose up when you're disagreeing with someone. You bite your lip when you're contemplating something and it fucking turns me on every time. I love that you don't give a shit about what people think about you. You're Bella and you don't apologize for being yourself. Your beautiful inside and out and I wanted you the moment I met you. But then you became my best friend. We were the same, moving to a new town and you helped me… be me. I want every moment with you… forever and I just… don't want you to think I'm taking advantage of you at all. Because you don't have to have sex with me in fear I might run away if you don't."
Bella listened to him talk. Everything he said made her heart leap. She loved Jasper for a while now and she admits she developed feelings for him at some point but she never knew that Jasper would love someone like her. Her hand went back to his cock and stroked him, her hips shifted a little and she pushed her panties to the side with her free hand to slide his cock against her pussy lips. "I love you." She breathed out softly, her mouth moving over his to shut him up before he could say anything else. Her body begged for his and she needed him.
"I want to have sex with you Jasper. If anyone is taking advantage, it's me. I'm not a prude. I enjoy sex very much and I want to enjoy it with you." Bella said and shifted her hips again.
Jasper moaned a little. "Wait…" he stopped her hips as her words caught up in his mind. "You've had sex before?"
Bella smiled. "No. Not with a person. I own a vibrator. I am a healthy teenage girl." She said with a small grin. "Be my first." She whispered.
Jasper studied her amber eyes. They were clear and not glossy. She wasn't blackout drunk like she said. He nodded and then laid her backward on the bed and peeled her panties off quickly. His mouth went to the inside of her thigh and he suckled there, his fingers delving straight into her folds. She moaned as he fingered her, his hands working expertly to race her towards an orgasm. He moved his mouth to cover her moist core, his tongue flicking out over her swollen cunt and she moaned and gasped, clutching the sheets as she experienced something so pleasurable for the first time. She felt the pleasure build inside her, getting ready to explode. She gasped out again as she felt her orgasm roll over her. Jasper sucked on her clit, drinking in the orgasm she just had. He leaned up, peeled his boxer briefs off and dumped them on the floor. He frowned. "I don't have a condom." He said as he squeezed his cock.
"I trust you. I take the pill." Bella managed to speak.
Jasper leaned down, his body covering hers, his mouth capturing hers briefly. "Are you sure?" he asked, just to make sure she didn't change her mind.
"I'm sure."
Jasper pushed the tip of his cock to her entrance and slid inside a couple of inches at first. When she moaned, he pushed farther, slowly burying his cock inside her warm depths. She was tight and wet and this was the first time being bare inside a woman before. He moaned as he sunk inside her deep. She shuddered a little, moaning as he stretched her. "Feel, okay?"
Bella nodded. "Mhm. It doesn't hurt." She reassured him, her hands moving up his hard chest to his shoulders and shuddered again when he thrust inside her. She couldn't believe she was doing this and she wondered why she waited so long before.
Jasper picked up his pace as his dick disappeared inside her over and over again. Her moans filled the air around him and it excited him. He thrust into her deep and a little hard and she gasped with surprised pleasure. Her legs wrapped around him, changing the angle just slightly but it was slight enough that he slipped inside her deeper and hit her g-spot. She came instantly, shrieking his name as she tightened around him. Jasper felt his cock fill so tight he was about to bust open so he pushed inside her faster and faster until he felt himself cum. He buried his hips against hers, locked together tight as his cock jumped around inside her, emptying his seed.
Their breathing came in pants and despite the cool air inside the room, sweat layered their skin. After a few moments, he slid out of her and lay beside her in the bed. He pulled her against him, her body curling into his automatically. He kicked the blanket up a little and pulled it over them when she shivered. They were still silent, enjoying the high sex brought.
Jasper brushed his thumb over her bare shoulder subconsciously. He thought about how amazing it felt to finally release the tension he had been denying all day and if he admitted it, since he met Bella.
"What's on your mind Texas?" Bella broke the silence.
"You," Jasper answered and kissed the top of her head. "We should get some sleep. We have the hike tomorrow that is going to kick our asses if we don't sleep."
Bella smiled and kissed his bare chest, her hand lightly stroking over the center of his chest. "Yeah… I know but I'm afraid to sleep."
"Why?"
"What if I'm dreaming right now?"
Jasper reached his hand up, tilting her face to look up at him and he kissed her deeply, his tongue diving over her tongue and swirling inside her mouth. He layered a couple more kisses against her lips before he kissed the tip of her nose lightly. "It's not a dream. I'll remind you in the morning." He promised.
Bella smiled and snuggled against him more. She closed her eyes and was surprised to feel the blanket of fatigue fall over her and soon she was sleeping.
Everyone woke later than they intended. Blame alcohol on the late start to the morning, but Bella was feeling pretty good about herself. She and Jasper were the first to wake up in the morning, which was good since they were both completely naked still. But they got up, pulled on clothes and started breakfast in the kitchen, which is what drew the others out of their slumbers.
"I'm thinking about doing a hike," Emmett said as he took a drink of the hot coffee that Bella had made.
Rosalie leaned against the counter; her pink sweater matched her personality well. Her violet eyes seemed alert and ready for the day, while Jessica seemed groggy and complaining. "I think a hike sounds great." She said and then Emmett leaned over and kissed her loudly on the lips.
Bella smiled as she flipped the bacon in the skillet. "There is a lake nearby that I thought would be interesting to check out."
"Oh yeah, there's a canoe stored out back," Stefan said as he grabbed a cup from the cupboard above Bella, lightly brushing his body against hers as he grabbed the cup. His hand went to her shoulder as he steadied himself from reaching. He moved to the coffee pot and poured himself some much-needed coffee.
Jasper watched Stefan's movements, not saying anything when Stefan got close to Bella because he was certain he had nothing to worry about with Bella, considering Bella and he had pushed past the friend zone boundary last night. "Canoeing could be fun." He commented as he drank his coffee.
Jessica whined a little. "It's too cold to be on the water."
Edward walked out of the bedroom, finally dressed for the day. He was wearing a turtleneck sweater and a pair of dark jeans with his boots. "It's not too bad outside if you're dressed warmly." He said and then kissed Jessica's cheek before going to fix himself coffee as well.
Mike and Eric were still lying around, their hangovers doing them in.
"I'm content with couch sitting for the day," Mike said, and Eric mumbled his agreement.
Jake came out of the bathroom, refreshed from a quick shower. He was dressed lighter than everyone else. He was used to the weather since he was raised on the rez. "What are we doing?"
"Canoeing." Bella and Stefan said at the same time and then smiled at each other.
"Canoeing sounds like fun," Jake said with a nod.
"Well, you guys have fun on the water. Rose and I are gonna go on a little private hike." Emmett said, his tone was suggestive.
Rosalie grinned at him, flirting with him with just one look.
Bella took the bacon out of the skillet and put it on a plate lined with a paper towel, before turning and opening the oven and pulling the biscuits out right before the timer went off.
Everyone ate their wonderful breakfast before everyone split to do their own thing.
Jake and Stefan surveyed the canoe that was stored in the rear of the cabin. "I don't know, might not float well," Jake said as he walked around the canoe.
"One way to find out," Stefan said with a smile.
Bella smiled and looked at Jasper. "We don't have to go canoeing. We could just stay around the cabin. Do our own hike."
"Yeah, but you want to see the lake."
"Don't need a canoe to look at a lake." Bella retorted playfully.
Stefan and Jake manhandled the canoe down and looked it over more. "Yeah, it'll float. No holes from what I can see, and all the paddles are with it." He said and high-fived Jake before Jasper moved to help them get the canoe up and they started down towards the lake.
Bella sighed, smiling as she put her hands in her pocket and followed the three down to the lake.
Bella, Jasper, Jake and Stefan made it back to the cabin before Emmett and Rosalie got back. Edward and Jessica were sitting by the fireplace, Jessica leaned against Edward comfortably while he stroked a hand over her arm. They were silent, just enjoying being with one another, which was exactly what Jessica wanted. Mike and Eric were sleeping in the bunks and likely would remain that way until dinner was ready. Angela was sitting on the couch reading a book when the four walked into the cabin.
"How'd it go?" Angela asked. Her dark hair was braided over her shoulder, and she pushed her thin-framed glasses up on her nose when she looked up at them.
"It was a lot of fun," Bella said with a smile before plopping down on the couch next to Angela. "We got turned around on the Lake, but we made it back to shore after a while. My arms are so sore."
"I offered to paddle more," Stefan said with a smile before going to the fridge and grabbing a beer.
Bella snorted. "Yeah, but your ability to paddle was lacking." she teased.
"Oh really?" Stefan said with a grin before going to the couch and plopping down next to her. "It was fun though."
Bella agreed. She was skeptical at first, but once out on the water, it seemed like a mysterious beauty out on the lake. It was peaceful as well and they spent most of the day paddling around on the lake and just joking and having the most fun.
It was starting to get dark out and Bella frowned as she noticed Rosalie and Emmett were still missing. "I figured Em and Rose would be back by now," Bella said, starting to worry.
Jasper looked at his watch and frowned. He knew his brother wouldn't keep Rosalie out in the woods that long. Especially since they went on a private hike and that was code for sex in the woods.
Suddenly the door of the cabin slammed open, startling everyone inside. When Rosalie stumbled into the cabin, her pink sweater stained in blood, everyone felt panic. They could see the terror in Rosalie's eyes and the blood that coated her clothes.
"What happened!" Bella was the first to speak. She sprung to her feet and went to Rosalie immediately.
Rosalie couldn't say anything, her body quaking from sheer terror and when her legs couldn't hold her up anymore, she collapsed onto the floor in a state of shock and exhaustion.
Jasper and Edward moved to Rosalie's side and bent to help her to her feet again, but it was a struggle. Once they stabilized her on the couch, everyone gathered around, hoping to get some possible explanation as to why she was covered in blood and where Emmett was.
"He's here," Rosalie whispered, her face pale and her eyes puffy from tears.
Edward was upset by the possible loss of his brother and so was everyone else, who was confused and shocked at what was going on. Edward went to the door where there was a shotgun mounted on the wall. He grabbed it, going towards the door, determined to avenge Emmett, but Jessica grabbed him by the arm, pleading with him.
"Edward, please don't risk your life. We don't even know what's out there." Jessica said, her bottom lip quivering as she cried.
Edward wasn't deterred. His heart was heavy, his thoughts only settling on Emmett and the fact that Rosalie had come back with a lot of blood on her. He didn't care who was out there or what was out there. He had to find Emmett, had to save him if he could be saved.
Jacob grabbed Jessica's arm. "I'll go with." He said gently, reassuring Jessica that everything would be okay. He left with Edward outside the front door to go and look for Emmett.
Rosalie watched Edward and Jacob go and she sobbed out a little. Her mind was racing with a million thoughts and fears. She replayed the events repeatedly in her head, trying to make sense of the chaos that had ensued. She got up off the couch and went to the bedroom, her intention to change her clothes to get the smell of blood off her.
Jasper looked at Bella, setting a hand on her shoulder. "I'm going with them. Stay here, lock all the doors."
Bella nodded in agreement, her eyes filling with tears. She knew that it made sense for Jasper to go after his brother and friend, but it didn't make her feel any better. "Be careful please." She whispered.
Jasper kissed her, his mouth warm against hers. It was a kiss as if he wouldn't make it back to her, but he couldn't think like that, not right now. Not when there was danger outside the cabin. "I'll be back." He said, hoping that would be true. He left her there, going outside to catch up with Edward and Jacob.
Alone in the bedroom, Rosalie paced back and forth, her trembling hands clenching and unclenching. All of a sudden, the lights went out in the cabin. She heard Jessica let out a frightened sob in the next room over. Scraping noises were heard against the window in the kitchen. Rosalie felt a shiver run down her spine as she heard the scraping noises get louder. She quickly realized that they were not alone in the cabin. Her heart pounded in her chest as she tried to calm herself down. She took deep breaths, steadying her nerves. Her eyes scanned the room, searching for anything she could use as a weapon and found Emmett's baseball bat. She grabbed it, clenching it tight with her fists. The scraping noises got louder and Rosalie's pulse quickened as she heard footsteps approaching the door. With trembling hands, she raised the bat, ready to defend herself against whoever or whatever it was trying to break in. The doorknob jiggled and Rosalie took a deep breath, preparing to swing the bat with all her might. The door opened and it was Stefan. She swung the bat without realizing it, but he caught the bat, the pain radiated against his forearm, but it wasn't too bad.
"Whoa, just me Rose," Stefan said quickly.
Rosalie sobbed a little, dropped the bat and fell against Stefan, crying in his arms.
Stefan held Rosalie tightly, trying to calm her down from the terror that she experienced. Her hands were shaking and her eyes were bloodshot from crying. He examined the room, the scraping noises stopping when he opened the door and walked in. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary. He ran a hand over her hair as she tucked her head on his shoulder. "It's okay." He whispered, his tone soothing.
Meanwhile, outside the cabin, Jasper didn't find Edward or Jake, so he was moving through the dark alone. He searched the ground for any clues that would direct him to where Emmett could have gone. Jasper bent down when he found a cell phone that looked like Emmett's when he heard a shriek that sounded like Edward's. Jasper turned and sprinted as fast as he could towards the sound of Edward's scream and found Edward lying on the cold ground, an axe in his chest and bloodied on the ground. Jasper ran his hand over his face, trying to push past the shock of seeing Edward dead like this. He heard footsteps running up fast behind him and he turned, raising the machete he had clenched in his fist to see Jake.
Jake's face was a mixture of fear and relief as he reached Jasper. He looked down at Edward on the ground and gasped. "What the hell happened here?"
Jasper turned, his eyes narrowing as he looked out into the darkness. He could feel the anger building inside him, a need for revenge. "Someone is fucking with us."
Jake nodded, his hand instinctively reaching for his hunting knife on his belt. "We need to find out who did this," he said gravely.
The two men scanned the area, searching for clues that might lead them to the killer. They spotted a trail of footprints in the wet soil leading farther away from the cabin. Jasper and Jake exchange somber looks before following in unison, the obvious trail to what may lead to the ending of a nightmare.
As Jasper and Jake moved along the muddied ground, the footprints led them to a dense brush. Jasper slowly began to creep through the foliage, with Jake following close behind him. The sound of twigs snapping sent shivers down their spines, making them stop in their tracks.
Jasper signaled for Jake to stay back as he gripped the handle of the machete tightly before he edged forward into the brush. A raccoon popped out and hissed before scurrying off into the night. Jasper's heart slammed in his chest at the sudden jump scare. Jake and Jasper laughed nervously at the silliness of being scared by a raccoon when they heard terrifying screams coming from the cabin.
Jasper and Jake quickly regained their composure and sprinted off, back towards the cabin, weapons gripped tightly in their hands. As they made it through the door, they were met with a gruesome sight. The killer had made it into the cabin in their absence and left a trail of blood and carnage in his wake.
Jasper frantically looked around, the bodies of Mike and Eric were slaughtered on the floor like they were shredded by wild dogs. Jake felt his stomach roll at the sight.
"Bella!" Jasper called out; his chest tight from worry. He searched the cabin and found Jessica impaled with a machete in her chest against the wall, blood dripping down out of her mouth and her dead eyes staring blankly. Jasper felt bile rise in his throat at the sight of his dear friend's brutal murder. He tried to push back tears as he pressed on with his search for Bella, holding onto the hope that she might still be alive.
As he made his way through the cabin, the smell of death invaded his nostrils and made him dizzy.
"Bella, Rosalie and Stefan are gone. They might still be alive." Jake said to his friend, hopeful that the others were trying to find a way to safety.
Jasper didn't respond. He looked for the keys that should be hanging on the hook by the door and noticed that they were gone. "The bastard took the keys to the Jeep and Mike's truck." He said and looked at Jake.
Jake nodded and took a deep breath. "We'll have to find another way out. There must be something we can use here." He started looking around the cabin for a tool they could use to help start the Jeep or truck.
The woods felt more sinister at night. Bella felt her heart pounding in her ears as she slid down behind a massive evergreen tree. Her arm was bleeding from her encounter with the crazed man who tried to slice her up with a machete. She closed her eyes as she flashed back to the massacre that took place in the cabin.
"What was that?" Jessica asked, her breathing heavy as she tried to stop herself from sobbing too loud. Mike and Eric came out of the bedroom, waking up for the first time since everything had happened.
"Who turned off all the lights?" Mike asked as he looked around the dark room. When he said that, the glass shattered in the living room area of the cabin and what looked like a spear, impaled Mike.
Jessica's eyes went wide and a terrifying scream let loose from her lips.
Eric was in shock as he watched Mike slump to the ground dead. He didn't have time to react before a man was busting through the door, swinging madly with a machete and sliced at Eric, ending his life almost instantly.
Bella scrambled out of the way as the machete sliced past her, nicking her arm and sending pain through her arm. "Jessica run!" She yelled, but Jessica was screaming more as she watched in terror. She finally came to her senses and ran, the chase thrilling to the killer as he chased her towards the laundry room area and slammed his machete through Jessica's chest, sticking her to the wall.
Bella turned and ran out of the cabin, thankful that she used to run cross country and she disappeared into the dark woods.
Stefan and Rosalie heard Jessica's screams from the other room.
"Oh god, he's here." Rosalie shuddered.
"Out the window," Stefan said quickly and he pushed her through the window and climbed out as well to try and get away from the crazy killer.
Bella felt trapped. She was in the woods alone and she felt like this was the end. Her breathing was ragged as she tried to calm herself down. Her thoughts raced with the terror of what just happened. She knew she needed to find help, but she was lost and had no idea where she was. The trees were thick and the only light came from the moon which was barely visible through the dense canopy. Bella thought about Jasper and hoped that he was staying alive in the woods and not lying somewhere dead. She heard panting and then heavy footsteps of someone running through the woods. She heard Jake's voice, but she stayed hidden trying not to make a sound and she hated herself for being a coward.
Jake came into view now and he turned to see Bella hiding behind the tree. He had a look of relief on his face before he gasped, the tip of a spear sliding through his flesh. The killer had thrown the spear and it sailed through Jake from behind. Bella watched the life leave Jake's eyes. She clamped a hand over her mouth to keep herself quiet. Tears flooded her face as she shook from the terror.
Bella tried to get to her feet, stumbling back away from Jake's body, her mind racing as she tried to come up with a plan. She knew she couldn't stay in the same spot for much longer, the killer was still out there and she needed to find help. Bella took a deep breath, trying to calm herself down, before darting off, angling back towards the cabin in hopes of finding Jasper or someone else.
Her heart racing, Bella ran as fast as she could. Her feet pounded against the forest floor as she pushed herself forward. She couldn't stop thinking about Jake, how he was just there one second and gone the next. Tears streamed down her face as she struggled to keep running, to keep moving forward. She heard footsteps running after her and her anxiety rose, making her stumble before she felt hands on her. She kicked out, trying to fight off whoever was trying to grab her.
"Bella it's me," Stefan's voice sounded.
Bella's eyes widened and she sobbed out a little. "Stefan, where's Rosalie and Jasper?"
Stefan shook his head. "Rosalie is gone. I tried but he got her… killed her with an arrow.
Bella sobbed out a little, her breath catching in her throat as tears streamed down her face. "What about Jasper?" she asked, her voice shaking with fear and desperation.
Stefan's expression turned into a grimace. "I don't know. I don't know where he is."
Bella's heart clenched in her chest. The love of her life was still missing in the woods. "We need to get help. To call the police or something." She sniffed. She shivered as the night air finally pierced her bones. She hadn't dressed for the occasion of running through the woods from a killer.
Stefan shrugged off his jacket and draped it over her trembling shoulders.
"Thanks," Bella said, thankful for the warmth of Stefan's jacket. She looked up at him, her eyes pleading. "Please, we have to find Jasper."
Stefan nodded, his expression resolute. "We will find him, but we need to be careful."
Bella nodded her agreement. She sniffed a little and then felt Stefan's hand grip hers tightly in a reassuring way. They moved through the woods cautiously, trying to make it back to the cabin and to find Jasper.
Every step they took was fraught with danger. The woods around them seemed to come alive with the ominous presence of something sinister lurking in the shadows. Bella felt the hairs on the back of her neck stand on end as she heard the rustling of leaves behind her.
Stefan had picked up on it too and he tightened his grip on Bella's hand. He turned to look behind them and saw nothing. He shrugged it off and they continued forward. The cabin came into view and they saw a figure walking from the Jeep to the cabin and back again. The dark made it hard for them to see who it was until they crept closer carefully. When they got closer, Bella saw that the figure was Jasper.
Bella left Stefan's side and ran for Jasper. "Jasper!" She called out.
Jasper turned and caught Bella against him as she flung her arms around him in a shaky embrace. "You're okay!" he breathed, inhaling her scent.
Stefan joined them, his eyes scanning the area for any signs of danger. "What's going on? Are you alone?"
Jasper hesitated for a moment. "I needed to set traps. I can't get the Jeep started without a key so I figured I would set traps and wait for the bastard."
Stefan motioned to the Jeep. "I work on cars. I'll try to get it started. Maybe then we can drive out of here and find help."
Jasper nodded and together they went to inspect the Jeep. After a few minutes of tinkering, Stefan managed to get the engine running. He popped open the hood and looked inside before turning back to Jasper.
"Looks like someone tampered with the engine," Stefan said, his voice grim.
"What do you mean?" Bella asked, afraid of the answer.
"Someone didn't want us driving out of here," Stefan said and wiped his greasy hands on his pants. "Either way it's start now. Let's get the hell out of here."
Bella climbed into the back seat of the Jeep and Jasper walked around to the passenger side while Stefan got in the driver's seat.
Suddenly a man appeared. He was holding an axe, his stare cold as he stared at the trio.
Stefan quickly revved up the Jeep, but the man swung his axe at the side of the vehicle. The metal screeched as it hit the metal frame and the trio knew they were in trouble. "Who the hell are you!" Stefan shouted, his hand on the steering wheel, ready to hit the gas.
The man wasn't the typical scary movie villain. He seemed like a normal man, just possessed by the thrill of killing anything and everything.
"I'm your worst nightmare," The man crooned.
Bella's heart thumped in her chest as she clutched Jasper's hand tightly. She had never been in a situation like this. Stefan's face was set in determination, his fingers gripping the steering wheel so tightly that his knuckles turned white.
"Drive!" Jasper commanded and Stefan slammed his foot on the gas and swerved a little to try and hit the man. Dirt flung behind them as Stefan sped through the darkened woods along the dirt road leading back to the main highway.
The sound of the engine roaring filled the silence as they drove at breakneck speed, trying to outrun the man who had been chasing them. Bella's heart was still pounding hard in her chest, and she could feel the adrenaline pumping through her veins. She looked back, but the man was nowhere to be seen.
Bella tried to relax as the view of the cabin and the massacre of all her friends were left behind. Jasper squeezed her hand as Stefan drove.
"We're okay, Arizona," Jasper said to Bella, calling her by her nickname to try and ease the anxiety.
Bella took a deep breath and tried to calm herself down. She leaned her head back on the seat and closed her eyes, trying to forget the horrific scene they had just left behind. Tears streamed down her face as she thought about her friends who had been brutally murdered in front of her.
Stefan turned onto the main road and aimed the Jeep back towards Forks. "Any cell signal yet?"
Bella pulled her phone out of her pocket to take a look. She shook her head as she saw zero bars of cell signal. "No. We're about an hour away from Forks though."
Jasper gave her hand another gentle squeeze. "We'll be back to civilization soon."
Bella managed to smile weakly before turning her attention back to the road ahead. As they made their way down the winding road. Bella couldn't shake off the feeling of unease that had settled in her stomach. She had survived an impossible situation. She wanted to say this was all just a terrible nightmare but the ache in her tired muscles told her that everything that happened was very real. Bella couldn't believe she was alive. Every moment she spent with Stefan, Jasper and the rest of their friends reminded her of the horrors that awaited her if they hadn't gotten out in time. She looked out the window and watched as the trees passed by in a blur. She was grateful for the silence that enveloped them and soon she felt herself drifting off to sleep.
The news of the Cabin massacre reached national news. Eight people were killed that night and only three survived. Bella didn't feel like she did survive. She had nightmares that would wake her dad up from sleep. Halloween arrived and nearly three full weeks had gone by since the awful event. When the police went to the cabin, Charlie included, it was a wonder that the three made it out alive. The carnage was sickening and some of the officers had to leave the scene to get air because of how gruesome it was. There was a message left behind by the killer, written in blood all over the walls.
DON'T COME BACK.
That part hadn't made the news, but Bella knew… Jasper and Stefan knew… that the message existed and it was meant for them. They recovered all of the bodies of their friends except for Emmett. They weren't sure what had happened, but the blood that covered Rosalie, they knew that he had been hurt pretty bad from the amount that was on her body when they found her.
Bella, Stefan and Jasper had to answer so many questions. What had happened? What did the guy look like? They had sketches drawn of the man that Jasper, Bella and Stefan described then they ran that picture everywhere, hoping to find out information about the crazed killer that had killed eight teenagers just having fun on fall break.
Bella had become jumpy as well. School wasn't the same. Others looked at them like they were the ones that killed all the others. Rumors circulated, though the principal was quick to shut the rumors down. But that was three weeks ago and at least things seemed to have died down since then.
Jasper sat next to Bella at the lunch table at school and it startled her. His hand instantly went to hers, squeezing it gently. "I'm sorry baby I didn't mean to scare you," he said softly. He leaned over and kissed her forehead before brushing his hand over her face to tuck her dark hair behind her ear.
"It's okay. Um. How's Alice?" Bella asked. Alice hadn't been to school in three weeks and that worried Bella. She didn't like Alice that much, but she did feel sorry for her. She lost her family that night in the woods and if it hadn't been for Edward and Alice breaking up, it was likely Edward would have been alive since he only came on the trip because he agreed to be with Jessica.
"Carlisle has her talking to a therapist. She loved Edward, even though they were… broken up, he was still her family." Jasper said and then leaned in and kissed her softly on the lips. "I love you." He murmured.
"I love you too," Bella said and sighed, leaning back to look at her phone when it vibrated.
[Charlie] I won't be home tonight. I have to help in another county.
[Bella] It's Halloween though.
[Charlie] I know kiddo. Have Jasper stay the night. I don't want you to be alone.
[Bella] You're telling me to have my boyfriend stay the night with me?
[Charlie] I trust you. Love you, Bells.
[Bella] Love you too, Dad.
Bella sighed and looked at Jasper. "Dad isn't coming home tonight. He's been called in to help in the other county."
"On Halloween night? That sucks."
"Yeah, he said for you to stay the night… if you can. I know Esme and Carlisle worry."
Jasper kissed her forehead. "Esme does worry. Why don't you stay the night over at my house? Stefan is crashing there since Damon is out of town on a business meeting and won't be back until next week."
"Yeah, okay," Bella said with a nod. "I would like to see Alice."

The Cullen house was large and more modern. Carlisle Cullen was a doctor at the hospital and Esme was a psychiatrist at the same hospital. Their home was beautiful and Bella always liked the way the house looked on the outside. There were so many windows and because of where the house was situated in the woods, there was a wonderful view of the wildlife that seemed to come up right to the house sometimes.
Esme hugged Bella when she walked inside with Jasper. Stefan was sitting on the couch, texting something on his phone when they walked in. "Hey, sweetie. How are you feeling?"
"I'm okay. I have nightmares though, so I'm sorry if I wake anyone up in the night." Bella said, comfortable talking to Esme.
Esme's blue eyes were loving and concerned. Her light brown hair had some blonder tints to it and her beautiful, youthful face always made Bella curious how old Esme was, but she never asked. She was slightly taller than Bella. "That's very normal. Do you want to go to my office and have a chat while you're here?"
Bella smiled a little. "I would like that. Maybe later after dinner."
"Sounds perfect sweetie," Esme said and then looked over at Jasper. "Jasper, shoes." She scolded.
Jasper sighed and took his shoes off, backtracked towards the door, and set them on the shoe rack that Bella had set hers on. "Mom, it's just shoes." He reminded her.
"Yes, but tracking in dirt," Esme said with a wave of her hand. "Carlisle is cooking Italian tonight. Hope that's okay." She turned back to Bella.
"That's great. Thank you."
"Are there any Halloween traditions that you normally do with your dad?" Stefan asked as he stood and walked over to Bella, giving her a quick hug.
Bella shook her head. "No, we usually just sit around and watch movies and wait for trick-or-treaters."
"I got the bowl of candy by the door," Esme said with a smile. "Make yourself at home. Jasper, show her your room honey." She said and then disappeared into the kitchen.
Jasper fist-bumped Stefan. "I was thinking of some sort of movie tonight. Pick one Salvatore." He said and led Bella away to his bedroom up the stairs.
Bella had never been inside Jasper's room before. The only place she had been in the house was the living room and dining room area. She had never gone up the stairs before. She found Jasper's room amazing. He had a lot of space compared to her room at her house. His queen-sized bed was a platform bed, with a lighted headboard and the furniture was all black. The bedspread on the bed was a mixture of blacks and greys and it was tidy. His entire room was tidy. Bella didn't expect it any other way. She set her bag on the bed and turned and looked at Jasper, her hands sliding up his chest as he hugged her. "This is the first time I've been in your room." She said with a small smile.
"Mmm. It is." Jasper said and dipped his mouth down to kiss her. His tongue probed her mouth gently, and they swayed a little with their embrace. "Did you tell your dad you're staying the night here?"
"I did," Bella said with a simple nod. "He said that was even better."
"Good," Jasper said and kissed her again and then again.
Bella broke away from the kiss and smiled up at him. "Stefan has been staying over a lot?"
"Yeah. His brother keeps busy. After what happened… Stefan doesn't like to be alone. So Carlisle and Esme told him to stay here for as long as he needed. He has his own room now."
"That's good," Bella said and closed her eyes. "It doesn't feel real sometimes."
Jasper brushed her hair back out of her face. "I know…. I wish… I wish that we could go back in time and just… I don't know…." He murmured.
Bella kissed him softly. "Thank you."
"For what."
"For being here for me."
"I love you."
"I know, but you could have… after everything that happened. I thought maybe…"
"Thought that I would abandon you?" Jasper arched a brow. "I wouldn't dream of it." He reassured her. "Come on, let's go down, watch a movie, eat dinner and just relax. Everything will get better. It has to."
Bella hoped that things would get better. She needed things to get better. She laced her fingers with Jasper and followed him back downstairs. Stefan found a comedy on Netflix and had it ready to play. The Package.
The three sat on the couch, Bella leaned against Jasper as the movie started. During the movie, Esme came into the living room with food for them and Bella thanked her, thankful for the hospitality that Esme showed her. She missed having a mother and thought that Esme was a great substitute.
Alice came downstairs, the lively Alice was gone and Bella hardly recognized Alice without her makeup on, and her jubilant self.
"Hi Alice," Bella said softly.
Alice just nodded in Bella's direction before wandering into the kitchen.
Bella looked at Jasper and he just kissed her forehead. She sighed and ate the lasagna that Carlisle had put together. It was delicious and she forgot that Carlisle also liked to cook.
When the doorbell sounded, it made Bella jump a little, but Jasper ran a hand over her back to reassure her that it was okay. Esme trotted towards the door and opened it and was greeted with trick-or-treaters. She cooed over their costumes, gave them candy, and sent them on their way.
Bella didn't know if she could get in the joyous mood for Halloween, but she smiled and showed interest in Esme's recount of all the cute Halloween costumes.
When the movie was over, Bella and Jasper resigned to his room. She got ready for bed in the bathroom that was attached to Jasper's room and she liked that he had his bathroom. Everything was done in dark tile and the walk-in shower was amazing the way it seemed like it was surrounded by glass and it matched the overall modern look of the rest of the home. She laid down on the bed, her body already tired and she hadn't even done anything strenuous. Jasper walked in and closed the door behind him. He had gone downstairs to tell Esme that Bella would talk in the morning and that she was tired. Which was the truth, Bella felt sleepy from watching the movie. He pulled his shirt off over his head and put it in the hamper before leaning over and kissing her before disappearing into the bathroom.
Bella loved Jasper's bed, how soft it felt. She closed her eyes just to rest them a moment before Jasper came back. She felt the bed dip and she opened her eyes to look at him. "Mmm. Your bed is comfy."
Jasper grinned and pushed back the covers and watched her wiggle beneath them. She slid over towards him and he put his arm around her as she rested her head on his chest. "It is pretty comfy. Even more so with you in it." He said and kissed the top of her head.
"Esme and Carlisle were nice to let us stay in the same room," Bella said out loud as she snuggled closer.
"Well, they trust me and know that we have had sex before. They're not that conventional as far as parents are concerned." Jasper explained. "I'm also eighteen and so are you." He pointed out.
"That is true." Bella realized. They were technically adults, but that didn't matter when you were living at home with your parents still. It was about respect at this point. "Still."
Jasper smiled. "You should sleep. I'm right here, I promise I'll be here when you wake up."
Bella closed her eyes. She felt safe with Jasper and she knew that he would never leave her alone, especially now.
Silence enveloped the room and soon Bella was sleeping soundly, her head on Jasper's chest.
Jasper stared up at the ceiling in the darkness of his room. He had a hard time sleeping and Esme had him take some medicine so hopefully he would get to sleep easier, but it was still hard to fall asleep with images of your dead brother in your head constantly. He felt like he failed Edward and Emmett. He lost both of his brothers and even though they were adopted, they still forged a bond. Rosalie was like a daughter to Esme too, since Emmett had Rosalie over so frequently, but Rosalie Hale was an only child and the Hales had lost their daughter that night. So much death… the image of the killer's face was burned into his memory and Jasper knew that it didn't matter how much time passed, he would never forget the way that man looked. An emptiness, just a drive to kill. He shut his eyes, trying to think about Bella, that she was safe now and that everything that happened at the cabin was behind them. He found himself nearly asleep when he heard Bella's scared cries. He opened his eyes to look at her and she was shaking now, tears falling down her face and wetting his chest. He nudged her a little, tilting her face up towards his and he pressed his lips to hers, hoping to calm her.
Bella felt Jasper's lips against hers and she broke out of her sleep state and opened her eyes to look at him. She gasped a little but then realized where she was and that Jasper was there with her. "Jasper."
"I'm here," Jasper whispered. "Everything is okay." He promised.
Bella nuzzled against his chest again, bringing a hand up to wipe at her tears. She felt a wave of calm wash over her. His scent was calming his touch. "I'm sorry."
"Don't apologize," Jasper said and kissed the top of her head. "Do you want me to massage your legs?" He asked.
Bella bit her lip. That would feel nice, but she was tired and she was sure that Jasper was plenty tired as well. "That's too much. You need rest too."
"It's never too much," Jasper said and moved to sit up to massage her legs. Bella let him and she closed her eyes, enjoying his hands moving up and down her legs.
"Thank you."
"No need for thanks either," Jasper said with a smile. He kneaded her muscles, his hands brushing up the inside of her legs and it sent little thrills through her. They hadn't been intimate again since that one time at the cabin. Neither had pressured the other into sex again, but right now, Bella couldn't think about anything else.
"Jasper…."
"Hmm?"
"Touch me." She breathed out.
Jasper's hands stopped massaging her for a moment before he obeyed, his hands moving up closer to her heated core, brushing his hands over the material of her cotton pajamas. "Turn over." He whispered and Bella turned onto her back and watched as Jasper pulled her pants down with her panties, tossing them on the floor before his mouth dipped down to taste her cunt.
Bella sighed pleasantly, loving the way his tongue swirled over her clit and pushed pleasure through her. Her body had been so tense before, but now that tension was melting away. He stroked her, pleasured her until she felt the rise inside and she came, shuddering a little, her hands tightening in the sheets of his bed, before he leaned up, pushing his pajama bottoms off, revealing his very large and hard cock. She smiled up at him, biting her lip a little before he pushed his cock at her wet entrance, before sliding inside. He quietly made love to her, his mouth focused on hers to block any of her pleasured sounds while he thrust inside her faster and faster until he felt himself draw up. He sank his hips in deep, cumming hard inside her. He pressed his forehead to hers while he gathered his energy back to move. When he did, she sighed, curling up against him again, her hand drawing small circles on his bare chest.
Jasper kissed the top of her head and stroked his hand over her back. "Feel better?"
"Oh yes. Definitely." Bella purred a little.
Jasper smiled and turned towards her a little more. They both shut their eyes, feeling safer in each other's arms before they drifted off to sleep again. This time, neither woke with horrid dreams.
They had survived and that was what mattered. It would take time to get back to a sense of normalcy, but at least they had each other to lean on. They had their love and despite all the odds, they survived and that would have to be good enough.
