Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shadows Season 01 Episode 01
We start at the skyline of Neo York City atop the buildings located there and slowly move from building down to the streets and over to a manhole before fading down into it as a voice was stating "Remember to be a true ninja you must become one with the shadows." We then fade down further into the sewers and move towards a door as that same voice says "Darkness gives the Ninja power, while light reveals the ninja's presense." as we fade to a flaming candle and see that it was a large humanoid Rat that was speaking to them.
"Now can extinguish this flame without revealing yourselves?" The rat questioned tossing the candle from where it was resting on his walking stick up into the air and catching it without the flames going out.
Something had flown by fast as we hear a grunt and he'd moved the candle away. "Too noisy Donatello." Another shadowed figure tried next swinging a nunchuck but was easily tossed aside by the rat. "Too clumsy Michelangelo." Then a third shadowed figure tried and managed to at least remain in the shadows but then rushed forwards but was tripped by the rat who says "Poor choice Raphael."
We then pan up to see that there was a fourth shadowed figure that was above them and opened their eyes hiding quietly and prepared to strike. they'd dropped down and slice off the top of the candle revealing a humanoid turtle as he'd caught the top of the candle onto his sword and blown it out.
The Rat then turned on the lights pressing a lever upwards with his cane stating "Well done Leonardo."
Raphael was annoyed by this and says "Teacher's pet." frustrated that Leonardo managed it but the rest of them didn't.
"Ninja drop out." Leonardo stated bluntly tossing him the top of the candle and the other two started poking fun at them.
This annoyed Raphael and he'd crushed the candle wax in his hand stepping forwards ready to fight but the rat put his cane between them stating "My sons." getting their attention and he'd then sighed before stating "My sons, if you are to become true ninja you must work harder." as the four of them then stat in a kneeling position listening to what he was saying. "Your path in life will not be an easy one. The outside world is filled with dangers."
"But Master Splinter, what about the surface world, they've learned to accept all kinds of different races many even stranger than ourselves." Donatello questioned why exactly they still needed to hide with the world so open and accepting.
"My son, we hide in the shadows so that we may protect our family from the enemies of our clan." The rat, Master Splinter, then explained about why they hide away. "To survive the day that they discover us you must master these skills that I teach you ninjitzu arts of stealth, and secrecy. You must become Kage, shadow wariors and never be discovered unless absolutely necessary like when you cut the pipe that man was standing upon."
"We were not discovered father, and no one suspects about what happened." Leonardo stated to their teacher while calling him father.
Suddenly something began to rumble around them with Splinter questioning "What is that noise?" He'd questioned as some strange robot that looked like a chicken with a T-Rex head brust through the wall letting out a strange scream.
"What are those things?" Donatello questioned confused having not seen that kind of tech before now.
"Neo York City Cockroaches?" Michaelangelo questioned scratching at his head equally as confused as they were.
"Whatever they are, they picked the wrong party to crash." Raphael stated and began to fight with the machines and the others soon joined in as well managing to damage them and break any that came too close for comfort.
These little robot things had started chewing on the support structures causing the place to start to come down around them and the rubble crushed the robots while also cutting them off from Master Splinter at the same time. "MASTER SPLINTER!" Leonardo called out and began trying to move the rubble.
Michaelangelo and stepped on the head of one of the remaining downed robots questioning "What the shell are those things?"
"Whatever they are, they're nothing but garbage now." Rapahel stated kicking the head off of the one Michaelangelo had stepped on.
"Donny, any way to check on Master Splinter?" Leonardo questioned shortening Donatello's name down as he'd done so.
"I'm working on that now Leo." Donatello, Donny, stated activating a device and trying to call Splinter.
"Hello?" Splinter questioned as he'd seen his sons appearing on screen "My sons, I am glad that you all are okay."
"We're glad you're okay too, how bad is the rubble on your side?" Donny questioned asking about if they could get to him or not.
"I'm afraid it's pretty bad. Whatever those things were they've completely eaten through the support structures of our home." Splinter then responded about how bad it was down there. "We must leave right away, meet me at the old drainage jucntion at south point."
Donny had taken out a holomap of the sewers and responds "If we take the south conduit then it would lead us straight there."
"We'll meet you there Sensei." Leonardo, Leo, then stated about where they'd need to go in order to meet up with each other again.
They'd headed off but found the the wall was destroyed and the only way left to go was up. So up they went. The group had been surprised to see all different kinds of species all over the place, turns out they could actually just blend right in so long as they didn't act weird. That was perfect for them as they'd just casually walked over to the next manhole preparing to go down, however someone had backed a truck up and parked one of the wheels on top of it frustrating them.
They tried to move the truck but the guys that were using it had appeared with stolen cash and the one with blue hair calls "Hey! Get away from our get away truck!"
"Get away truck, did you guys just rob that place?" Donny questioned noticing that they were carring duffle bags.
"No." Another of the guys spoke, it seemed they all had shirts or some other apparel that had a purple dragon on it, probably a gang or something.
"They so did, how should we handle this Leo?" Michaelangelo questioned about what they should do about all this.
"Well, I know Master Splinter said that we shouldn't get involved unless we have to but.. we can't just let them get away with it either." Leo answered back about their options.
"Fight or flight Leo." Raf then stated bluntly cutting it down to two options making things a simpler choice.
"Fight." He'd responded to his brother and they all started to attack the gang that were stealing a bunch of dufflebags full of money.
The turtles were clearly better fighters and and more prepared than the gang and had managed to beat them sending the gang running off and the turtle then threw the money into the building returning it. However more guys had shown up in black costumes with a three toed symbol on them and they'd started fighting them too. However the Turtles were starting to be overwhelmed because of how many had showed up.
"Hey Don, are we beating them, or are they beating us?" Michaelangelo questioned and they had to dive into the truck and shut the door with a bunch of Shuriken striking the door.
"Ask me again when we're winning Mikey." Donatello answered back as they rejoined in the fighting but were still having trouble.
"Donny, see if you can get the truck started while we hold them off." Leo called to his brother in the purple mask and he'd gotten back in the truck and began to try to get it hotwired so that they could escape.
The others continued to fight until the truck had managed to be wired so that it would start up and Donny called out "Alright let's go!" with his brothers all jumping into the back of it and they'd drove off leaving those other ninja behind.
They'd managed to get away and crashed through a gate in order to get to the drainage system to meet back up with Master Splinter who was waiting for them alongside a bunch of those trashed up robots tat had attacked them earlier. They'd then parked and gotten out, going over glad to see that he was okay.
"My sons I'm glad to see all of you are alright." He'd told the turtles while standing up to greet all of them.
"Master Splinter, so much has happened today." Leo told them regarding their time atop at the surface and what they'd been through.
"Yes, yes, there will be time to tell me all about it later Leonardo. But first I wish to take you all home." Splinter stated to them and began to walk off.
"But Master Splinter those robots trashed our pad remember?" Raph spoke knocking on one of the broken robot's heads emphasizing his point.
"Yes, well, I belive I mave have discovered a solution to our current housing problem." He'd then explained to them all. "Follow me my sons." and with that he'd jumped down into a hole in the ground.
The others had done the same discovering that it had actually been a tunnel and he'd led them into a new place to call home which had been a much larger place for them all to stay as compared to their old tunnel home which they'd rather enjoyed seeing. Sure it would require sprusing up but overall it would definately be a good place to call their new home.
