Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shadows Season 01 Episode 02
The Turtles and Splinter had gotten the new lair fixed up and were currently watching a bunch of sfreens that had a man named Baxter Stockman showing the robots that had attacked their old Lair and forced them to find a new home. This had angered Raphael as he'd wanted to go and give them a piece of their mind.
"Absolutely not." Splinter told them getting in the way and smacking him in the head with his walking stick. "Your last trip to the surface was a disaster."
Raphael let out an annoyed grunt before then heading off to his room while Donatello had gone back to working on the mouser trying to get it working again so they could trace it back to the source. Mikey was watching tv and Leonardo had decided to work on training some more to make use of his time.
Raph had gotten up later and was preparing to sneak out but Leo had been waiting for him blocking their path. Before the two of them could start to fight one another however, a mouser robot had then run past them with the two watching it confused as it was leaving instead of trying to get inside. We then see that Donny and Mikey had been following it running past them as well.
"Master Splinter is so going to kill us." Leo stated with a sigh but both he and Raph had then run after the other two and the mouser.
The Mouser had starting moving up a wall and the turtles used hand grips that had clawed blades on them to chase after it with Mikey calling "Next time let's leave the wall crawling to the guy in the purple and green tights."
"I doubt you'll actually see him down here very often." Donatello stated to him with a sigh as they continued to climb up the wall to chase the Mouser into a pipe.
"Well, after the Sewer King incident I doubt that he'll have much reason to do so." Leonardo answered back while they were walking down the tunnel.
They'd followed until there was a whole lot more of those mouser robots that had appeared from seemingly nowhere and were now surrounding the four of them. They'd all began fighting and bashing their way through the Mouser army as they were being attacked at the same time.
"Guys, quickest way to take them down take out their heads." Donny told them having been messing with one and knowing how they work.
"Good news for the turtles with blades." Mikey then responded while knocking some of them away from himself.
"Drive them over this way, we'll slice and dice." Raph called to his brothers as he and Leo were cutting the bots that got too close for comfort.
They suddenly heard someone screem and instinctively ran towards the sound finding a redheaded young woman being attacked by the Mousers and ran to help breaking the Mousers that had gotten too close until they were all gone.
"Oh thank you, thank you so much you guys saved my life." The woman spoke thanking the turtles for helping her out as Mikey had offered her a hand helping her stand up. "Oh, I haven't seen anyone like you around Neo York."
"Master Splinter's not gonna like this, but let's get you back to the lair for a bit." Leonardo stated to the girl and the Turtles had helped her get back to their place.
They'd taken the woman back to their lair and let her sit down onto their couch with Raphael questioning "What do you know about those Mouser Robot things?"
"Well, at first I thought they were just for cleaning up the cities rat problem. But then I got suspicious and discovered that he had a hidden factory, so he sent them to kill me." The Woman answered back about why they were after them.
"Young Woman, there is something else we must discuss." Splinter spoke having been woken up by what was happening.
"Oh, uh, when I said Rat problem I was talking about the non intelligent kind and up.." The Woman spoke but Splinter put his hand up as if to tell her not to worry about that. "Sorry, what is it that you wanted to talk about?"
"We have never revealed ourselves to the surface world as it would put us all in grave danger. Enemies from my past would seek to destroy us." Splinter explained about why he was concerned. "I'm afraid we find ourselves at your mercy."
"Oh, if you don't want me to say anything I won't tell anyone. You guys saved my life it's the lest I can do to return the favor and not say anything." She'd answered back about not telling anyone. "How did you guys get here anway, was it by a spaceship or teleportation or something?"
"No, though they are too young to remember, there was a time in which we were once ordinary creatures of this world. I was once the pet of a man named Yoshi but he was struck down leaving me to fend for myself in the street. Not long after an old Blind Man was crossing the street when he was almost run down by a truck. Someone ran to the man's aide and bumped into a child carrying a jar with four infant turtles as they did so." Splinter began to explain about what happened that day.
"That was us, I bet we were cute." Mikey stated but was smacked in the back of the head by Raphael.
Splinter shook his head and continued stating "The boy dropped the jar and smashed it by accident and a metal canister bounced of out the truck as it swerved with them all being washed down the drain, and the cannister smashed open covering them and myself. I took pitty on them gathering the turtles in an old coffee can and took them to my burrow. The next day I discovered that the ooze had affected our growth making me larger and smarter while the turtles had doubled in size. We continued to grow and change until we became as you see us now. I taught them what I remembered of Yoshi's training in Ninjitsu which he'd done frequently over the years so that we may defend ourselves from the enemies of Yoshi and myself, and named them after the four painters that Yoshi enjoyed the works of, Leonardo, Donatello, Michaelangelo, and Raphael. We were attacked by the mousers not long ago and the rest you already know." He'd explained while gesturing to each of them as he'd told her their names.
"Wow, that's quite a story." The girl spoke back after hearing their origins and how they'd come to be as they were. "And, you're Splinter right? Leonardo said you wouldn't like that I knew you guys existed."
"Yes, I am Splinter." He'd answered back about his name before asking "Please, what is yours." wanting to know her name too.
"Oh it's April, April O'Niel. It's nice to meet you all." The Woman, April, answered back introducing herself.
"Hey master Splinter, do we have a last name?" Mikey questioned after April introduced herself to them all.
"Humans apply their own last names to their pets, and Yoshi's last name was Hamato so it would stand to reason that this would be our last name as well." Splinter then answered back about what their name would be.
Before more could be said the news came on talking about how something had robbed a bank and the Plumbers are currently in investigation with April getting up stating "This must be what I heard Doctor Stockman talking about. He's got the Mousers robbing banks."
"What do you know about this Stockman guy?" Raphael questioned sitting up in his seat and leaning forewards wanting to hear what they have to say.
"He's a genuius, but he's also nuts. When I got suspicious he turned the mousers on me. I managed to get away and then you guys saved me." April answered back oversimplifying what happened to her.
"I say we go shut down Mouser Central permanently." Raphael then stated in response pulling his Sighs ready to take them down.
"I just love those action movie lines. You writhe them yourself?" Michaelangelo questioned laughing about what Raph was saying.
"It won't be easy, he's got the latest in earth tech security." April stated to them about actually managing to get into the lab.
"That won't be a problem for Donny here. He's been tinkering with earth and alien tech since we were little." Mikey answered back not worried at all.
"Y'know I can just call the Plumbers and meet them outside the building to show them where the lab is." April then pointed out to them about handling things.
"Ya we could do that." Leo then stated thinking that was a better option on how to deal with things.
"But then we wouldn't get the chance to take them out for destroying our home." Raph pointed out still wanting to go and fight them.
"Can't we just do both?" Mikey questioned still wanting to get back at them for what they did. "Y'know like help damage the place and draw the Plumber's attention?"
"If Stockman knows or suspects that we're doing anything he'll probably want revenge so I'm pretty much done for regardless." April stated with a sigh.
"But we can put him away for years plenty of time for his company to go under right?" Donny then suggested.
"Ya, that could work." She'd agreed with them about how to deal with that. "It'll keep you guys out of their line of sight for now and I won't have to worry about Stockman getting revenge."
The Turtles and April had done a two prongged attack with the four of them keeping Stockman busy while April got some Plumbers to come and check things out giving her time to show them what Stockman was actually up to. Since he was busy dealing with the turtles he wasn't able to focus on what was happening topside and so April showed them what was really going on before letting them down into the factory below the lab, which was more than enough to have Stockman arrested and taken away with the Turtles managing to slip away unnoticed by the Plumbers or Stockman for that matter, thus ending the Mouser problem for all of them.
