These characters don't belong to me, they belong to Martin Walls and his video called The Mysterious House. The only characters that I own are characters that aren't in The Mysterious House or the unnamed character's headcanon names.

The first place Porter went was Rex's house. However, when he expected to see him, he only saw his mother.

"Well, if it isn't Porter!" she said, "What brings you here?" "I need to talk to Rex," said Porter, "Do you know where he is?" "I thought he was with you filming," said Rex's mom, "He said he'd be going downtown. You guys are still working with that studio, right?" Porter didn't answer as he ran off to go find his friend.

Eventually, he did find Rex. Rex was watching a live concert at the bandstand. "Rex!" said Porter as he was happy to find his friend. "Oh, it's you," said Rex, who seemed less than pleased, "Why are you here? You come to bug me about stuff again?" "No Rex, it's not that," Porter explained, "I came here to say I am sorry. I'm sorry for the way I was and I am sorry for all the drama within every project we were involved in. I don't know what happened. Whether it was me being pushy, or something that made me the way I was, it wasn't justified the way I treated you. But if I'm going to be completely honest, the studio needs you back, the boss needs you back, I need you back...please..."

It looked like Porter was getting to his emotional side. Rex noticed this and thought that may have been the case. "You know Porter, I'm sorry too," said Rex, "I'll be honest, I wasn't perfect myself. I made practically the same mistakes you did, so I'm no different. But if you guys need me to come back, then I shall come back!" Rex then put his hand on Porter's shoulder and said to him, "Let's finish this thing!" Porter nodded to Rex, agreeing with him.

The two went back to the studio where Mr. McCartney was happy to see Rex back. "Glad to have you back!" he said, "Now, you guys don't have to do any filming today. But tomorrow and for the final few days of filming, you both will be hanging around with the Brighton Fire Department. Not all hours of the day, just during certain times."

Mr. McCartney gave Porter and Rex a paper with what times they would be needed, what days, and for how long. "I wish you guys good luck!" he told them, "Hopefully things go well and hopefully it is eventful. Whenever you guys are done for the day, you can bring back the camera and stuff here. Then when it comes the time again, you can pick back up the equipment."

It probably isn't a surprise, but Porter and Rex didn't use their own equipment to do filming and commentary for studios. They used the studios equipment for this.

The next day, Porter and Rex went to pick up their equipment at the studio, then headed to the fire station. When they got there, a little bit of filming was done. Mostly some closeups on the fire trucks and other vehicles they had, as well as the firemen explaining the functions of them.

After that, the rest of the day seemed very boring. Nothing really happened for a majority of the day. Porter and Rex were hoping for something eventful to happen, but it seemed like nothing was to happen. However, right when they thought this was the only footage they'd get for the day, something finally happened. A call came out and apparently, every single unit the Brighton Fire Department had was needed immediately. Porter and Rex didn't know what was going on, but they brang the equipment with them as they rode with the fire department to the scene.

When they arrived, they saw two cargo ships on fire in Lake Erie. "What the heck happened here?!" exclaimed Porter. "These two cargo ships collided, breaking their fuel tanks and starting this big fire here!" replied one of the firefighters.

They got out and so did the other arriving units. The fire fighters were instructed by their captain to get on one of the fireboats, while Porter and Rex stay behind for now. The captain did however suggest that the hippo and fox do their filming and commentary while they delt with the fire.

The two did so, and got some insane footage of what was going on. While the fire was absolutely roaring, all the fireboats, with the help of the coast guard, did everything in their power to take out the fire. It was only a matter of time until news helicopters as well as various news stations started to arrive and report on what was going on.

Once the sun set and night came, Porter and Rex got on a boat and got closer to the scene that was at a safe enough distance. The big balls of fire that lit up the already night sky was one crazy sight to see. Porter and Rex did not think they'd see all this. They filmed the fire, the fireboats, and everything the camera could possibly take.

However, as time went on, it became clear that Porter and Rex had to head back home. It was getting late and they were getting tired. Plus, they already had a ton of footage anyway and the fire was getting close to being taken out. So the two were taken back to the fire station by one of the firefighters that wasn't needed anymore.

The next day, Porter and Rex returned to the studio to get their equipment, before heading to the fire station. Mr. McCartney was very pleased with the footage they brought back the day before. "Those were some incredible things you captured yesterday, alongside everything else!" he said, "I didn't think you'd come back with that!" "Neither did we," said Rex. "I suppose you could say we were in for a surprise," added Porter. Mr. McCartney gave Porter and Rex the equipment then said, "You know the drill. Just the same as yesterday. So good luck!"

When Porter and Rex arrived to the fire station, it was pretty much the same as yesterday where it became uneventful at first. No filming was done, just because the two already got footage of firefighters explaining how fire trucks and other rescue equipment worked yesterday. And just like yesterday, a call came in and firefighters were needed. However, it wasn't as severe as before.

Porter and Rex hopped onto one of the fire trucks with their equipment and with the sun setting, they headed off to the scene. They found out there was a structure fire, more specifically, a house fire. When they got there, the fire truck as well as other arriving units went to work as quickly as possible.

It very soon became night time, which made the footage quite spectacular like yesterday. The firefighters made sure everyone was out of the house as well as trying to take out the fire the best they could. Luckily, everyone in the house was out before the fire got bad.

Porter did a little commentary, but not very much. He just wanted Rex to film as much as he could of what was going on. However, they also had to be careful as there were exposed wires sparking not too far from them. The firefighters were also careful of this too.

Water was blasted onto the fire to take it out in any way, shape, or form possible. This went on for what seemed like an eternity, but the fire was also pretty big too. However, many also seem to underestimate how powerful fires can really be.

Eventually, the fire was taken out. Porter and Rex knew their work of filming was done.

The final day of filming came. Porter and Rex picked up their equipment as usual, but were instructed by Mr. McCartney to go to the football field. This confused them, as they thought they were supposed to go to the fire station. That was until he explained to them that they were doing a demonstration there and requested some footage of what's going on be done there.

The two went to the football field and could see there was quite the crowd too. They noticed a few wreaked cars and some dummies lying nearby the cars on the field. It was a staged accident put on by fire, police, and rescue personnel, in order to demonstrate how they went along with their work.

Porter and Rex got their things ready as the demonstration was about to start. Before it started, Porter gave some commentary on what was going on as Rex rolled the camera. Very shortly afterward, the demonstration started. Rex was sure to take lots of footage of this. It went well and it looked like they were going to be about done after this.

After the demonstration was over, they went back to the studio to bring in their stuff. "Well, that's that," Mr. McCartney said, "I'll keep you boys updated on the project but from the looks of it, it looks like it'll be released on it's intended date! Despite that production nightmare that happened through nearly half of filming, I think we managed to go through the storm somewhat well. I hope you guys have a good rest of your week off and hopefully you both can return for future projects. I mean, you know...as long as a repeat doesn't happen."

Porter and Rex walked out the studio. "After working with studios on projects for a little while now, be honest with me Porter," said Rex, "Do you think it's worth it? Or do you think we are better off doing what we were doing before?" "Since we are working for studios, rather than having our own or having one publish our videos publicly, I say in the long run, we're better off doing what we were doing before we got into projects," replied Porter, "I'm sure it's not the precise reason why we got into arguments or why you left, but still, I think it could play a role. With that said, I do personally suggest we just continue with what we were doing before we helped with studios works. Plus, more creative freedom."

The two kids walked to go do whatever for the rest of the day. The projects for studios they worked for was undoubtedly fun, but from now on, they thought that maybe they should distance themselves from working with studios for a brief time. Luckily, no more arguing over what should be done happened after this.

THE END!
