Welcome back my friends, I hope you liked the last chapter, I hope you're ready because

THIS…IS…IT!

THIS is the FINAL chapter of "Cooper's creed 3 The Assassin's vault" and in this chapter, it's ALL on the line will the gang succeed and claim the treasure of the Assassin's vault or will Dr. M seize it for himself?

Now be sure to make yourself comfortable and to grab yourself something to munch on and drink because I think that this chapter is by far the LONGEST that I have posted in this story, so just get yourself situated because this is gonna be a long finally to this story

Well, that question aside, I've got a surprise for you guys, one that will change EVERYTHING

But with ALL that said…let's FINISH this

Chapter 8 Honor among Assassin's

(Sly's P.O.V, three days short of 10 weeks later)

"All these memories…of my family, my loved ones, the place's we've gone, the people we've meet, the recruits that we've brought into this family…even the enemies that we've fought, they've all led up to this, we had our plan and we didn't want to leave ANYTHING to chance, with the modifications we made to the Sekhmet including a place for the Cooper biplane, a new rocket launcher station thanks to Trixie's know-how on firearms and a new armored hold would make the Sekhmet more powerful and durable, I just hope that it and the new recruits that we struggled to bring together are enough, Bentley tried to pull up as much information as possible about the man that goes by Dr. M, but nothing promising, there's this one article that said before he "vanished" he was one of the world's leading experts in genetics and also had doctoral degrees in SEVERAL fields of science, physics, chemistry, biology, any scientific field you can think of he's got a doctoral degree in, a lot of these scientific fields are so radically advanced that they even impressed our three resident geniuses, so needless to say that his intelligence was on another level, but other than this, there's nothing about what he's been doing for the last couple of decades, no internet access, no appearances in the public eye, no communication with ANYONE from the outside world, it's like he just…VANISHED into thin air, but he's been HERE all this time, on Lian Yu, working to not only crack open the doors to the Assassin's vault for years but also turning our once friend Kion into an enemy…as we sailed to Lian Yu, thoughts RACED through my head at a hundred miles an hour about what awaited us on the island or what the inside of the vault held for us, but either way…tonight…I'll finally lay my eyes on the other side of my family heritage, an enormous stockpile of my assassin ancestors accomplishments, will I be able to measure up, what would I contribute to it…whatever is in there vault…I'll FIGHT TO EARN IT even if I have to take on Dr. M and Kion single-handedly"

After the gang made their way to the North China sea on the Sekhmet, the teams had a plan and they separated to fulfill a role of theirs meanwhile Sly and Neyla were moving into position, where they encountered two flashlight guards to which Sly double assassinated them with his dual Hidden blades before the two looked at the MASSIVE fortress built in front of them

"Love, this is it" Neyla told Sly

"Yeah…my heritage is up there" Sly replied

"And we'll get it to Sly, I PROMISE we will" Neyla said before Bentley contacted them

"This is IT, you two, everyone is in place and are prepared to help you two get up to the Assassin's vault, for the rest of the operation you two are "The ball" got it" Bentley asked

"Rodger, me and Neyla are starting out approach, getting over these fortress walls won't take too long" Sly replied into the earpiece

"Let's get a headcount before we get started, make sure everyone's at the ready" Neyla said

"I hear ya, artillery, sure you two can make that shot" Bentley asked

"We plan not to miss big-brain" Trixie answered

"Call on us when you need us" Panda King added

"Excellent, radio control" Bentley asked

"In position handsome" Penelope replied to her boyfriend

"And set with the toys" Aria added

"Recovery team" Bentley called

"I'M PUMPED" Murray replied

"Just say when" T'Challa added

"Good to go" Shazza added

"Let's get started" Cammy added

"You give the word and I'm there" Zak answered

"We're ready" Genji and Hanzo both said at once

"Submersibles" Bentley called

"Showtime, baby" Dimitri answered

"Telekinetics" Bentley called

"I stand ready to assist if I can" Guru answered

"Medic" Bentley called

"Standing by if anyone's hurt" Jasmine answered

"And I stand ready to my love" Neyla told Sly before he took her left hand and kissed it

"We're all set" Sly said

"ALRIGHT, it's the CRIME OF THE MILLENIUM and the BALL is in motion guys" Bentley said before the lovers started making their way to the vault, they easily found their way over the fortress walls before they came to three guards that were on a ledge overlooking the waters, Sly and Neyla then started sneaking along a ledge under them before Penelope sent in her RC chopper

"The ball has stopped rolling Penelope, we've got an obstruction" Bentley said

"I'm on it" Penelope replied before she used her Yank 86 grapple to deal with the guards so Sly and Neyla could continue

"First is away" Penelope said as the first guard was dealt with

"Second guys is clear" Penelope said as the second guard was pulled

"Third is skyward, roll on ball, over" Penelope told the lovers

"Thanks sister" Neyla said

"No problem" Penelope replied as the lovers continued and came to a long gap

"Guru, we could use some assistance" Sly called

"Fear not my friends" Guru replied

"LET HER RIP GURU" Bentley said before Guru used his Dreamtime magics to top over a large antenna to make a makeshift rail for Neyla and Sly to Rail walk over

"Strong work Guru, thank you" Neyla said

"My pleasure, Neyla" Guru replied before the lovers came to a barricade leading into Dr. M's laboratories

"Panda King, Trixie, the way to the laboratories, how about a door opener" Sly asked through the earpiece

(On the Sekhmet)

Trixie and Panda King were calibrating a rocket on one of the new toys of the Sekhmet

"All set" Trixie asked Panda King

"Indeed, Cooper, Neyla STAND clear" Panda King called into the earpiece before

"FIRE IN THE HOLE" Trixie called into the earpiece as she launched the rocket

(With Sly and Neyla)

Sly and Neyla took cover from the rocket as it hit a cage above them and it crashed down on the barricade opening the way

"Spot on target" Neyla called through the earpiece

"Did you expect anything less" Trixie asked

"Not at all" Neyla answered

"Great work you two, thanks" Sly called through the earpiece as he and Neyla continued onward

"No problem" Trixie called through the earpiece

"Continue onward with caution" Panda King added

"Ball is nearing the labs Dimitri are you in position" Bentley called through the earpiece

"Spear gun loaded and ready for action" Dimitri replied as the lovers entered the laboratory but, their way forward was blocked by laser barriers, however Dimitri was in a position to fix that

"We're in position, let her FLY Dimitri" Sly called as Dimitri hit the power cables that were on the outside of the laboratory in the water Dimitri was swimming in and shut them down

"Both barriers down, get moving ball and get that gold" Dimitri told the lovers

"Thanks for that Dimitri" Neyla said through the earpiece

"Every time hip-cat, you two get rolling fast" Dimitri replied as the lovers proceeded forward and got to the elevator but then a money man in a lab coat and a flashlight guard came into the laboratory on the lower level

"That must be Dr. M" Neyla whispered to Sly

"It's GOTTA be" Sly whispered back

"How's your wife doing Richards" Dr. M asked

"Very well, Dr. M, thank you for asking, very thoughtful" The flashlight guard, Richard answered

"And your son, what's his name Mike" Dr. M asked

"Mark, sir, he's well to, ya" Richard replied before Sly and Neyla got a free ride up to the top level on the roof of the elevator Dr. M and Richard were riding in, past the laser barrier security system

*PERFECT, he's giving us a free ride* Sly said in his mind, but in Neyla's mind she was thinking of something…something VERY important, something that she was fighting with herself to either tell Sly about or not

*I have to tell Sly* One half of Neyla's mind said

*No, if you tell him now, he won't be focused, you'll throw him off* The other half of Neyla's mind said

"It's a shame you won't be seeing him again" Dr. M told Richard

"Um…sir" Richard asked as he turned to Dr. M

"Afraid I poisoned your drink at lunch…sorry Richard, but I don't TOLERATE poor performance" Dr. M said

"BUT…WHY SIR" Richard asked

"You should have changed the security code form one, two, three AFTER you installed the new system" Dr. M answered

"I'LL, I'LL IMPROVE, I SWEAR" Richard said

"No, you'll die…any second now" Dr. M said as Richard slowly chocked and he died

*The BASTARD* Sly and Neyla said in their minds at the same time before Dr. M answered his phone which rung

"Yes, water leaking into the lab, I'm on my way down, OH and…get a janitor for the lab elevator…Richard's got sloppy" Dr. M said before Sly and Neyla hopped off the elevator as it went back down to the lab, they could see the Assassin's vault from the other side of where they were standing and DOZENS Of tools trying to force themselves into the vault but it was holding strong

"Dr. M has been drilling into the vault with THOSE things for decades" Neyla asked

"I guess my ancestors knew how to make things that last" Sly said

"Alright you two, make your way over to the vault, I'm on my way to help with the loot haul, over" Bentley said

"Ten-four" Sly replied before he and Neyla raccoon rail walked across a couple of tight wires but then

"INTRUDER ALERT, INTRUDER ALERT" A man over a loudspeaker shouted ad they spotted and started shooting at Sly and Neyla, they quickly made their way to the other side of the tight ropes and got to the vault

"POWER DOWN THE TURRETS" Sly shouted as Neyla quickly put the code of 1, 2, 3 into the security control box, the turrets and the machines trying to bust into the vault then deactivated and moved away from the vault

"WOW" Neyla muttered as the lovers eyed the vault, it was a large, round door made of a strange, black as a raven's wing metal and with no crank wheel to get it open and it had a symbol on it that Sly has seen before

"Sly…is that" Neyla was about to ask

"The symbol of the Assassin's…the group of people that my uncle and mother belong to" Sly said (The symbol is the Assassin's creed symbol)

"So…how do we get in" Neyla asked, Sly then examined the vault door before he touched it and then something happened, these bright, yellow lines coursed over the vault door as a soft humming sound was heard, the same thing was happening with Sly's left hidden blade, he then extended it, and the blade was glowing the same color

"What IS that" Neyla asked

"I…I don't know" Sly muttered before a small slot opened to see a slot where a blade could be placed in, Neyla then looked to the left to see a bunch of hidden blades similar to Sly's through not of the same metal that his was made of, she then looked to the blade slot and put the pieces together

"Looks like Dr. M was trying to get the vault door open but for some reason these Hidden blade knockoffs couldn't do it" Neyla said, Sly thought about it before he approached the door

"What is it Sly" Neyla asked, noticing the gears turning in his head

"I think if I" Sly muttered before he slipped his left Hidden blade into the blade slot before he turned the blade to the left before he heard clanks being opened, Sly then backed up as the doors to the vault started to open, his and Neyla's eyes widened before something SHOT at the door closing it and it clamped shut, Neyla and Sly looked to see Dr. M strapped to a flying machine via a head device

"A COOPER, wh…no…NO, you must be SLY Cooper the new keeper of the Hidden blade, OH how I LONG for this moment…and who is this" Dr. M asked, referring to Neyla

"Neyla's the name" Neyla answered

"And why are you skulking around with this man" Dr. M asked

"She's my lover and this vault belongs to my family, your TRESPASSING" Sly said

"No, my naïve boy but you AND your pretty tiger are trespassing, I've got the deed to this island, this fortress is MINE, EVERYTHING HERE is MINE, which now includes the key to the vault, hand over the Hidden blade" Dr. M demanded but Bentley snuck up behind him on one of the security towers, Sly then smirked

"Sorry, Doctor Frankenstein, it's a family heirloom, GET your own" Sly replied before Bentley threw a projectile at Dr. M stunning him

"GAAH, WHAT THE" Dr. M grunted as he flailed in the air from the hit

"QUICK, LET'S REGROUP WITH THE OTHERS" Bentley shouted before the lovers and Bentley made a break for it as Dr. M recovered form the surprise hit then started shooting at the three as they got back to the elevator shaft

"JUMP FOR IT" Bentley shouted as the trio umped down the shaft

"YOU WON'T ESCAPE ME SO EASILY" Dr. M shouted before Sly pulled out his paraglider as Neyla held onto him so both descended to the ground safely and Bentley used his rocket booster sin his wheelchair to land safely as well, they all saw that the laboratory was quickly flooding

"THIS PLACE IS FLOODING, COME ON" Bentley shouted as he used his booster chair to get to the other side quickly while the lovers had to use floating items as footholds to get over to the other side before they took off through the tunnel exit

"THE TUNNEL'S GONNA GO HURRY" Bentley said as they hurried out the exit

"We're almost home free" Bentley said before he boosted over to the other side of a gap then bombed a pole so the lovers could walk over on it

"The Sekhmet's JUST up ahead" Bentley said but

"BENTLEY, BEHIND YOU" Sly shouted before a HUGE, hulking monstrosity came out of nowhere controlled by Dr. M himself

"GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH" Bentley yelled in horror as the monster grabbed him in its large hand

"BENTLEY" Neyla and Sly shouted

"There's NO escape Cooper" Dr. M said as the lovers tried to fight back against the monstrosity, but it was so huge and strong that even with their training and gear they were doing nothing but pissing it off more than anything else

"NOTHING'S WORKING LOVE" Neyla shouted

"GUYS, GET OUT OF HERE SAVE YOURSELVES" Bentley shouted, Sly then took his Gunbai out with the Rapier still in it

"NOT WITHOUT YOU BUDDY" Sly shouted before he threw his Gunbai at the creature's mouth and stunned it, making it let Bentley go but then look at Sly who then roared and the Gunbai dropped to the ground before the monster grabbed Sly before it started thrashed him around like a ragdoll which shook him so much his left Hidden blade went FLYING off his body

"LOVE" Neyla shouted

"SLY, HOLD ON SLY, HOLD ON" Bentley shouted but unknown to them a police boat with both Nick and Carmelita along with an army of mercenary apes showed up and saw what was happening

"What in the name of HELL is that" Carmelita asked

"I don't know, but it's GOT COOPER" Nick said

"Lieutenant Grog order our men to attack, the action's started without us" Carmelita told the leader of the mercenary apes

"YES MA'AM…lock and load you apes, WE'RE GOING IN" Grog told his men before they jumped into action using jetpacks

"Never thought I would see you jumping to save Sly's neck" Nick said

"I want him tried and prosecuted, not killed, got a problem with it" Carmelita asked

"Who am I to argue with my spitfire girlfriend" Nick answered as he armed himself

"Good, ATTACK" Carmelita shouted as the cops attacked the giant monster that was holding Sly with their shock pistols, the monster was immensely strong and resilient and with Dr. M controlling the creature, it was a dangerous opponent, the two cops even had to reposition itself to keep attacking the monster and had to deal with some of Dr. M's men who he called for assistance but eventually the two defeated the monster, forcing M to face Carmelita and Nick directly, with the creature down it was even forced to let Sly go

"YOU HARPY WITCH, HOW DARE YOU" Dr. M said

"HEY…watch your tongue around my lady, banana breath or I'll SHOVE this shock pistol down your throat" Nick said

"WHY are the police invading my home" Dr. M asked

"We're here to see that justice is done" Carmelita answered

"JUSTICE, I'M the victim here, I'm protecting what's MINE from thieves" Dr. M replied

"Looks like you were attempting to murder that man" Nick said

"THAT MAN, PLEASE, this is SLY COOPER we're talking about" Dr. M said

"Just because they're trespassing doesn't mean you get to play executioner buddy" Nick replied

"Cooper is a criminal, we're here to see that him and ALL lawbreakers get justice, JUSTICE which doesn't involve just killing them on the spot" Carmelita said

"UGH, you two are as transparent as you are narrow-minded and I'm no lawbreaker, this was all justifiable SELF DEFENSE" Dr. M said

"First things first, get on your knees and we'll talk terms" Nick said

"I'm sorry to say but I don't TRUST either of you as far as I can throw you two…although I can throw you a long, long way…go and SMASH those two, CRUSH their bones to DUST THEN THROW THEM INTO THE SEA WHERE NO ONE WILL EVER FIND THEM" Dr. M told his monster as it came back to life and chased Carmelita and Nick back to their boat where they had to fight it again

"Well, we're in the shit now" Nick said

"You with me" Carmelita asked

"Always, my vixen" Nick answered

"Now to find that Hidden blade, I can't BELIEVE this idiot just brought it to me, oh poor fool, I can't even believe he's related to Gabriella…I thought he would inherit her smarts and not her FOOL of a husband's heart, oh well, may they be reunited in the afterlife" Dr. M said as he went off to search for Sly's Hidden blade

(With Sly)

Sly was laying unconscious on the ground where the giant monster dropped him before Neyla, Mario, Bentley, Cammy, Zak, Helen and T'Challa ran up to him

"LOVE, PLEASE DON'T LEAVE ME" Neyla shouted as she and Mario checked him

"NEPHEW, NEPHEW ANSWER ME" Mario begged

"COME ON BOSS DON'T GO DYING ON US HERE" Zak said before Neyla put her ear to his chest to check for a heartbeat

"Do you hear a heartbeat" Helen asked

"Is he still breathing" Bentley asked

"He's ALIVE" Neyla said

"Oh, thank God" Cammy said

"JASMINE, PREPARE THE MED-BAY, MASTER'S BEEN HURT" T'Challa called through the earpiece

"Copy" Jasmine replied before Neyla and Mario helped Sly to his feet

"HANG IN THERE, BUDDY, we'll get you patched up" Bentley said before they returned to the Sekhmet to patch Sly up

(A few minutes later on the Sekhmet)

The gang waited on bated breath for someone to tell them of Sly's condition, then Mario and Bentley came out from the bowls of the Sekhmet

"Well" Genji asked the two

"How's Sly" Hanzo asked

"Jasmine says he's gonna make it, thank the ancestors" Mario answered making the rest of the gang sigh in relief

"Where are the others" Penelope asked, not seeing Neyla, T'Challa, Helen or Cammy

"They've refused to leave Sly's side until he's back on his feet, however he's suffered a major concussion, he's gonna be out of it for a while" Bentley said

"Then…what do we do" Murray asked

"Yeah, what's the call here, fight or flight" Shazza asked

"What would Sly do in times like this" Hanzo asked

"If he were up and about, I'm sure he would want us to retrieve his Hidden blade" Bentley said

"He didn't have it with him" Trixie asked

"All we picked up was his Gunbai fan, we couldn't find the Hidden blade" Genji added

"And from what Neyla's told me it managed to open the vault door before Dr. M showed up, I saw it get tossed off him when that THING was throwing him around like a ragdoll" Bentley said

"If that's the case it could have landed anywhere on this island or worse, landed in the sea" Aria said

"If it did, it's LONG gone by now" Shazza said

"Well, that's a defeatist attitude, don't you think" Genji asked, then Synu cried out before flying to them with the spyglass in her talons

"What's wrong with Synu" Hanzo asked before Synu flew to Mario and handed him the spyglass before flying to the edge of the ship and landing on the railing as if she was saying "Look this way"

"I believe she is trying to tell us something" Panda King said before Mario followed Synu to the rail before she flew off again and he followed her with the spyglass before Synu flew to where Sly's Hidden blade stuck on some kind of device about 70 Ft away from their current spot

"I SEE THE HIDDEN BLADE" Mario called out before Bentley saw it through his binocucom

"I SEE IT, THERE, on that buoy" Bentley said as Synu landed on Mario's shoulder

"Good girl Synu" Mario said as he gave Synu a small piece of meat from one of his pockets

"Cold grab the thing, jump in, do the swimming, TAKE IT, legit, eh, my main man bro" Dimitri asked Bentley

"Hold off on the swimming, if the Hidden blade is sticking to it, it could only mean one thing" Trixie said

"Your right, Trixie, that's an electromagnetic buoy, Dr. M has likely set them up all around the island to snag approaching, metal boats, we're just lucky that the Sekhmet is mostly concrete and wood" Penelope said

"She's right, you get too close, and you'll suit will be magnetized to it, we ALL will" Aria said

"Then, how are we gonna get the Hidden blade back if we can't even get CLOSE to it without getting stuck to it" Genji asked

"I believe I might be able to work around it" Guru said

"Yeah…YEAH, YEAH, YEAH, that's a GREAT idea Guru, you and Shazza are the ONLY members of the team that doesn't carry metal equipment, so only the two of YOU can get close to those things without getting stuck, if you can "convince" some of the local shark into joining you in an attack, it might be enough to break the buoy" Bentley said

"Can you do it" Mario asked Guru

"Are you kidding, have you not SEEN what master can do" Shazza asked

"Trick question" Mario replied

"I can…just take care of your nephew, let US take care of things for a bit" Guru said before he got to work and possessed one of the local sharks, Guru had to possess MANY sharks by jumping from one shark to the next which made them follow him, he led several sharks to the electromagnetic buoy for them to chomp down on it and even dodge many of Dr. M's automatic, marine defensive system which intensified the more Guru gathered sharks but he was able to get past them and get it done but after getting ten sharks on the buoy the Hidden blade was free however it fell into the sea, Guru then returned to the Sekhmet

"I am sorry my friends…I failed" Guru said

"It's okay Guru, the Hidden Blade's not lost, we have a diving expert on the team remember, we can still get it back, I'll have Penelope and Trixie get Dimitri ready and take it from here" Bentley said

"I just wish I could have done more" Guru said

"HEY, don't talk like that Guru, your just as valuable a member as anyone of us" Hanzo said

"Yeah, besides your one of the three wisest on the team, without you we wouldn't have stood a CHANCE against Lefwee back in Blood bath bay" Genji added

"I can't believe I'm saying this but, you should listen to the k" Shazza was about to say as Genji and Hanzo looked at her with a look that said "We're not kids"

"Sorry…the twins" Shazza said

"NO one else could have got the Hidden blade off that magnet, you're a CREDIT to the team…just…leave your shark friends behind they freak me out" Bentley said before he got Trixie and Penelope went to get Dimitri's help

"Bentley's working on plans to get back to the Assassin's vault so he wanted us to get you ready for the mission" Penelope asked the lizard

"QUI…the turtle dude makes sweet sound for le scuba, SO HERE YOU GO BABIES, Dimitri au-natural, WHERE, your plan, she's work to perfection" Dimitri said

"Dimitri NOT NOW" Trixie muttered as she face-palmed herself

"Our plan to get you alone in a swimsuit" Penelope asked

"Come clean my lovely ladies and play your cards straight, these are DANGEROUS WATERS and I am a big, strong…MACHO, MACHO MAN" Dimitri said as he flexed

"DIMITRI" Trixie growled a little as she looked in his eyes, telling him she was serious

"OKAY, first off, GET OVER yourself, second, I MEAN IT, get over yourself and third, JUMP into those waters and FIND Sly's Hidden blade, it's the KEY to the Assassin's vault, we CAN'T lose it" Penelope said

"Couldn't have said it better myself sister and don't forget to use that new pressure power shooter I put on your spear gun, it's make your spears hit harder and travel longer, just in case you run into any trouble" Trixie said

"Salty language with such sweet lips…I DIVE BABY…I DIVE FOR THE LOOOOOOVE" Dimitri sang a little before he jumped into the water

"UGH that guy" Trixie said

"TELL me about it" Penelope said

(In the depths)

Dimitri spotted the Hidden blade but it was caught in a powerful current and was sent flushing into an underwater cyclone tunnel

"QUICK GRAB THE HIDDEN BLADE, my instruments are detecting some of Dr. M's creatures swimming towards it" Penelope called through the earpiece to which Dimitri swam after it, but…SOMETHING was trying to stop him with these MASSIVE pincers trying to crush him, thanks to some strong swimming, he managed to dodge them but then he had another problem, he came across a MASSIVE, sea creature and Dr. M was controlling it

*SWEET MOTHER OF A FUNKY MONKEY* Dimitri shouted in his mind as Dr. M now had the Hidden blade I his hands

"The Hidden blade is MINE, don't come any CLOSER OR I'LL CRUSH YOU" Dr. M threatened Dimitri who he attacked

"I can't TELL what that maniac is yelling underwater but who cares, GET BACK THAT HIDDEN BLADE" Penelope told Dimitri who fought back against Dr. M, he attacked with explosive devices, shocking tentacles, tried sucking Dimitri into the large creature's mouth and even LASERS from the creatures sides, Dimitri didn't swim away without injuries but eventually defeated Dr. M but he ran with the Hidden blade in hand

"Don't think this is OVER lackey, the Cooper gang may control the water…but I still CONTROL THE SKIES" Dr. M shouted before he escaped

"He took the Hidden blade…I'm sorry Dimitri, you did your best, come on back to the ship" Penelope told Dimitri as he swam back to the Sekhmet

Dimitri got back to the Sekhmet where Penelope and Trixie greeted him and he didn't look at ALL like his usual self

"That RUDE dude, he threw down heavyweight, I had HIM SOLID…but he RAN BABY…RAN…and now I feel as low as a gator's belly in a swamp" Dimitri said with a sad face as Dimitri sat on the floor, Trixie then stepped up

"Hey, we all fail sometimes…but I thought you were pretty brave" Trixie told Dimitri

"But I mucked it up BIG TIME…here cracker box, I mean…Cooper, he's hurt and here I am with NO blade after he sprung me from jail and helped this funky lizard achieve childhood dream since I was a young and un-groovy boy…I…I failed…I FAILED…you know…despite him brining me down a year ago, he…he's a cool dude, you know, he sticks with his family, that's cool in my books" Dimitri said

"Oh, come on Dimitri, don't be like that, you were magnificent, alone, against a creature, trapped in an undersea cave" Penelope said

"True" Dimitri asked as Trixie helped him to his feet

"True…dude, let's just get you to Jasmine and patched up" Trixie said before she took him to Jasmine and Penelope went to join Bentley and Mario but then Neyla, Helen, Cammy, Zak, T'Challa and Sly showed up coming out of the lower deck

"SLY, YOUR UP" Penelope said

"He should be resting after the thrashing he took earlier" Bentley said

"What do you think we've been trying to convince him to do" Zak asked

"Nephew another blow to that head of yours and it could SNAP" Mario said

"That's what we've been TRYING to tell him, but he won't" T'Challa said

"That's my love, a lovable, but stubborn man" Neyla said

"Sly, there is no shame in wanting to seat this one out since you've been hurt" Helen said

"Yeah, why not let the rest of us handle this" Cammy asked

"Look, while I appreciate your concern for me, I'm fine, I promise…did you guys get my Hidden blade back" Sly asked

"I'm sorry to say this Sly, but…no, Dr. M has it now" Penelope answered

"Not good" Zak and Cammy said at once

"VERY not good" Helen added

"Then…WE GOTTA GET IT BACK" Sly said

"You're going NOWHERE" Bentley said

"Huh" Sly muttered

"Well…not at the moment you're not, is what he meant nephew, we've been going over the blueprints to Dr. M's fortress and he has multiple missile turrets linked to aerial guidance systems" Mario said

"Which makes any attempted assault on either Dr. M or the Assassin's vault IMPOSSIBLE" Penelope said

"Then, how are we gonna get up there if those things will shoot us down, the moment we try something" T'Challa asked, after a few seconds, Bentley spoke up

"Wait a second…I GOT IT, Penelope have you finished that work we talked about on your RC car" Bentley asked

"Yeah…OOOOOH, I get where you're going with this, that'll work, SMASH the drones, syphon their power and when enough is gathered" Penelope was about to say

"FRY the towers matrix" Cammy said

"RIGHT" Penelope said

"EXCELLENT, let's get your RC car onto a drone patrol pipe" Bentley said

"Excuse me" Helen asked

"Um, guys remember not ALL of us can speak Star trek" Zak said

"Yeah, can you guys dumb it down a bit for us, please" Sly asked

"Well…explaining it would include a LOT of multisyllabic words so…why don't we just show you" Penelope said

"That would probably be best" Mario said

"Then bring on the demo" Sly added

"Panda King, can you use your fireworks to launch my RC car onto one of the drone pipes" Penelope asked the Panda King

"HA, with my fireworks it will fly as the bird" Panda King said before he lit a firework on the RC car and launched it

"FLY BIRD…FLY" Panda King shouted as the RC car flew, the RC car landed and got to work in syphoning the energy of the drone's patrolling the pipes, Penelope used new side punchers to drive them off the pipe then collected their energy that they dropped, once she had collected enough she then launched her RC car into one of the three radio control towers to destroy it and then landed on another pipe track where she had to do it again, after destroying all four radio control towers, it was all clear to make an attempt on either Dr. M or the Assassin's vault, after destroying the last tower the RC car landed back on the Sekhmet

"FANTASTIC, all four radar towers ae COOKED…Penelope you are WONDERFUL" Bentley said as he kissed Penelope on the cheek

"AAAW, shucks" Penelope muttered

"Who knew something so small could cause so much destruction, I'm starting to see their value" Helen said

"Big things come in small packages, no doubt about it" Zak added

"With the radio control towers out of commission we've got a chance at air superiority here" Bentley said

"Then I'm in, I've rested enough" Sly said

"Are you sure about that nephew" Mario asked

"Uncle, this is our LEGACY that everyone is risking their lives fighting for, I'm NOT gonna seat on the sidelines anymore" Sly said

"Well, if you're going to fight then your gonna need this" Neyla said as she handed him Gunbai combination weapon that he threw at M's monster to save Bentley earlier

"Thanks babe" Sly replied

"And I'm going with you" Neyla said

"Neyla, I" Sly tried to say

"NOW HUSH...you're NOT talking me out of this, so DON'T even try" Neyla said, showing her loyalty to Sly before she took hold of his face

"We started this together…and we'll FINISH it together, you hear me" Neyla asked, Sly smiled

"I would listen to her if I were you, Sly" Cammy said

"Yeah, women can be very…set in their ways when they've made up their minds about something" Zak added

"Well…you hear her, Bentley" Sly asked his turtle friend

"LOUD and clear, the biplane launcher, while untested should be enough to get you both in the air, Aria and Penelope even installed a tail gunner seat on the Cooper biplane, if we needed to use it again, it would be good to have a second gunner up there" Bentley explained

"Not to mention a lock-on missile launcher, figured it would come in handy on targets you couldn't get in your crosshairs" Penelope added

"Nice" Sly said

"What about the rest of us master" T'Challa asked

"Yeah, I wanna a piece of the action to" Zak added

"Especially if this Kion person is going to be around, we owe him for what he did to you back in China" Helen added

"What they said" Cammy added

"Guys, I need you all to stay here and hold down the fort for me, can you do that" Sly asked

"I would much rather be with you when we enter the vault but…if that's what you want" T'Challa replied

"Alright I guess, go GET em boss man" Zak said

"Ma'am…are you sure you will be okay" Helen asked Neyla

"With my handsome raccoon around, I'm as safe as a baby in her momma's arms" Neyla answered

"Well, just be sure to be EXTRA careful…for us" Cammy told Neyla before the tigress hugged Cammy

"I will, I PROMISE" Neyla answered

"Shall we fly" Sly asked Neyla

"Let's" Neyla replied before they got below deck and activated the launch mechanism for the biplane

"Ready…LAUNCH" Sly called out before Aria launched the Cooper biplane with Sly and Neyla in it, they took to the skies of Dr. M's fortress and although the missile turrets attacked the biplane, without the radio towers that Penelope and her RC car destroyed, they couldn't lock onto the biplane it didn't take long what with Sly's piloting skills and Neyla's shooting they managed to destroy all fifteen of Dr. M's missile turrets

"YES, good thing Penelope took out the radio towers when she did" Neyla said

"Yeah, otherwise all those missiles would be heading straight for us" Sly said before more of Dr. M's creatures showed up

"Uh-oh" Sly said

"Looks like you two really steered up the hornets nest" Bentley said through the earpiece

"They have shields on them, our guns probably won't make a dent" Neyla said

"Then let's give our new missile launcher a test" Sly said before he did just that and tried the new missile launcher and it worked perfectly, they then got into the wing of disabling the shields on the creatures with a well-placed missile before finishing them off with the guns on the biplane, after defeating all twenty of these creatures it looked like they had the skies cleared

"THAT'S THE LAST OF EM" Bentley called only they weren't done, now the REAL test showed up

"Um, GUYS…something BIG is coming out of the water" Zak called

"LOOK AT THE SIZE OF IT" Helen said

"What the HELL is that thing" Genji asked

"Trouble…BIG trouble" T'Challa said

"You can say THAT again, I wasn't expecting a giant, whale, dragonfly THING covered in robotic junk…WAIT…DR. M IS PLUGGED INTO THAT MONSTROSITY" Bentley said in shock as th lovers spotted Dr. M

"M" Sly growled

"AH, the Cooper is SKYWARD so GOOD, so NICE, time he felt what it's like to play second fiddle, I am the master here, SIDEKICK NO MORE" Dr. M growled before Sly and Neyla went into battle against the monstrosity of a creature as Sly and Neyla unleashed a barrage of bullets on Dr. M, he released homing missiles to which Sly had to knock them out with his own missiles and Dr. M unleashed waves of energy to try and bring the Cooper plane down, but thanks to Sly's perseverance and skill thy managed to defeat the creature but it still wasn't over

"HA, HA, HA, you and your FOOLISH friends keep trying to beat me with your guns, they're nothing but toys to my creatures, if this Whale-Fly had vocal cords, he's laugh at your SILLY, LITTLE FACES, HA, HA, HA, HA" Dr. M laughed

"DAMN HIM" Neyla growled

"This isn't working Bentley he's LITERALLY LAUGHING AT US UP HERE" Sly told Bentley through the earpiece

"I'll, I'LL THINK OF SOMEHTING, JUST GIVE ME TIME" Bentley called back

"I'm settling this NOW, face-to-face, you WITH me love" Sly asked Neyla

"ALWAYS" Neyla said before Sly flew the biplane up higher to get a good vantage point before

"PARAGLIDING OVER TO THAT CREATURE, THE TWO OF YOU ARE OUT OF YOUR MINDS" Bentley shouted before the biplane came apart and the lovers paraglided over to the Whale-Fly where they faced Dr. M who had Sly's Hidden blade

"Headstrong and idiotic, just like Connor, are you sure your Gabriella's son, she had so much more sense than you do" Dr. M asked

"You don't know ANYTHING about my father or my mother" Sly replied

"Really now, well then who let you in on the secret of this place, eh, was it my old friend McSweeny perhaps" Dr. M asked

"You know McSweeny" Neyla asked

"He…works for you…this has been a plan to get the HIDDEN BALDE" Sly said, feeling betrayed by his "second uncle"

"No, no, my boy, once upon a time McSweeny and me were partners, brothers…working for your uncle and your MOTHER" Dr. M said

"Gabriella would NEVER have worked with someone as unhinged as YOU" Neyla said

"Let alone with a person who would try to kill her ONLY son" Sly added

"Time does strange things to people, my boy, just look at the REAL leader of your group, BENTLEY" Dr. M said

"Real leader…what the hell are you blabbering about" Sly asked

"Admit it Sly, without his intelligence, you and your little "gang" would be nothing but a bunch of chickens with their heads cut off, compared to the rest of you besides those two scientist girls, what were their names…AH, Penelope and Aria, other than those two, well…you might as well not have a brain at all" Dr. M said

"WHATEVER, WE'RE FRIENDS, BROTHER'S, EQUALS" Sly said

"Where's Kion" Neyla asked

"Oh, he's just waiting for the right moment, TRUST ME on that Cooper, you will DIE this day" Dr. M answered

"SHUT UP" Neyla shouted as she whipped out her whip and managed to get the Hidden blade away from Dr. M before Sly moved fast and kicked him over the edge of the Whale-Fly

"Here my love, this belongs with you" Neyla said as she slipped Sly's Hidden blade back on his left forearm

"Neyla, you're the BEST" Sly said

"I know" Neyla replied

"Ready to meet the past" Sly asked, Neyla nodded before the two paraglided to the vault after jumping from the Whale-Fly, Sly then approached the vault

"Alright, let's TRY this again" Sly said as he slipped the Hidden blade into the hole like the last time, meanwhile Neyla was still arguing with herself

*I REALLY should tell him, he has a RIGHT to know* Neyla said in her head

*Are you crazy, he's about to see his mother's legacy* The other half of Neyla's mind said

*I KNOW, I KNOW, but this is IMPORTANT TO* Neyla said in her head

*Tell him AFTER this is over, like I said before* The other half of Neyla's mind said before the doors to the vault opened, Sly then contacted Bentley over the earpiece

"Bentley…you there, brother" Sly asked

"Yeah, I'm here" Bentley answered

"Look, me and Neyla are about to head into the vault and…I want you, Murray and Mario to come with us" Sly said

"He's right, we're not just a team, we're a family, we should do this together as we always have in the past" Neyla added

"Alight, we'll be right up…partner" Bentley replied

"NICE, we'll have the Panda King give the team van a boost, STAND CLEAR YOU TWO, WE'RE ABOUT TO GET AWESOME" Murray said as he, Bentley and Mario loaded up into the van before Panda King strapped some rockets to the van's underbelly

"The FUSE IS LIT" Panda King said enthusiastically as Mario was praying in Latin for this CRAZY-ASS idea to work WITHOUT killing them in the process

"HANG ON YOU GUYS, we're about to FLY" Murray said before the rocket took off and launched the van up to the vault

"YAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" Murray shouted as the van flew

"GET DOWN" Sly shouted as he protected Neyla with his body before the van landed right in front of the vault

"Mario, Bentley, Murray, you all okay" Neyla asked the three

"ARE YOU KIDDING…THAT WAS ONE OF THE MOST AWESOM THINGS I'VE EVERN BEEN THROUGH" Murray said

"Maybe for YOU, Murray but me and Bentley can tell you THIS" Mario said

"What's that" Murray asked

"WE'RE NEVER DOING THAT AGAIN" Mario and Bentley said at the same time before Murray drove the van in and Sly and Neyla were behind them before they descended into the vault

(In the vault)

After descending into the vault, the five landed in a large, round room, thirty feet in front of them was a large door in the shape of the Assassin's creed symbol

"OH WOW" Neyla muttered

"By the ancestors" Mario muttered

"This place is AMAING" Bentley said

"Yeah, it's gotta be at LEAST a hundred years old" Murray said

"Oh, much older than THAT Murray…mine and Sly's ancestors have been using this place since the time the three hundred Spartan's fought the Persian army at Thermopolis…one can only IMAGINE the stories these walls could tell us if they could speak" Mario said

"These ancient carvings, so beautifully preserved" Neyla said

"Truly this is an archeological MARVEL" Bentley said as Sly looked to see the only forward would be only for him and Neyla

"Glad you guys are enjoying the sights…because it looks like you guys won't be able to go any further" Sly said

"My father told me about this…only those of the Assassin's could proceed further into the vault, but they would have to pass the gauntlet first" Mario said

"The gauntlet" Neyla asked

"Trials meant to test the worthiness of whoever enters the vault's inner workings…you can do it though, nephew…you've been trained since you were eight to do so" Mario said

"And Neyla" Murray asked

"Somehow…I think this place was build for her to" Mario answered

"Indeed, she's MORE than proved herself worthy to join the Assassin's in my opinion" Bentley

"I thought that was obvious" Murray added

"OH, GUYS" Neyla muttered, truly touched by her oldest friend's belief in her

"Do it then you two" Bentley said

"Yes, me and the boys will hold down the fort here" Mario said

"Thank you, Mario" Neyla said before she turned to Sly

"Let's go love" Sly told Neyla as they rail walked on some rope before getting to the other door and opening it before entering the gauntlet

The two lovers saw the true glory of the inner workings of the vault, all around them were MASSIVE piles of gold and all MANNER of treasure and valuable items that the past members of Gabriella and Mario family lineage

"WOW, it's HUGE" Neyla said

"Yeah…you know I bet the inside of this whole vault is carved right into the mountain on this island" Sly said

"You could be right" Neyla said before the two stepped up to what looked like an old painting…and old was RIGHT, a podium was also in front of the painting which had a woman on it and on the podium was what looked like some kind of spear weapon (The spear of Leonidas)

"What an old painting" Neyla said

"More like downright ancient" Sly said before he noticed something under the painting, it looked like a bunch of scribbled up words that neither he nor Neyla could read

"What is this" Neyla asked, Sly then tried something else, Eagle vision and the scribbled words turned to English

"It's writing…writing that only someone with my sixth sense can read" Sly said

"Does it say who this person is" Neyla asked, pointing to the painting, Sly looked to see a name

"Kassandra…the granddaughter of the legendary Spartan king Leonidas…the FOUNDER of this vault and…MY ANCESTOR" Sly said in shock

"Wait…so one of your ancestors is the KING of Spartans…and the founder of the vault is a WOMAN" Neyla said

"You sound a little star-struck" Sly said

"I am, I mean WOW, you GO girl, she sounds like the PEAK of a badass woman" Neyla said

"I'll take that as a compliment" A new voice spoke up, Sly and Neyla were STUNNED to see someone approach them, but it was neither friend nor foe, but it was a raccoon woman in Spartan-like armor

"Who are you" Sly asked

"Don't you recognize my painting" The woman asked as she pointed to the image of Kassandra and Sly and Neyla were STUNNED

"NO WAY" Neyla muttered

"Your…Kassandra" Sly said

"In the flesh…well…close enough" Kassandra said

"But…this painting is THOUSANDS of years old at LEAST, how are you still" Sly was about to ask before he touched Kassandra only for his hand to go straight through her body

"Alive" Sly said in confusion

"Are you…a ghost" Neyla asked

"No, simply a false image made by the Isu metal" Kassandra answered

"You mean like a hologram" Neyla asked

"Whatever word you wish to use" Kassandra replied

"What's this…Isu metal your mentioned" Sly asked

"I accidentally stumbled on this island when I was on a sailing voyage…I had already been through so much war and seen too many good people, friend and family alike die…I wanted to save and preserve something for once, so I decided to create a vault out of the very metal that your Hidden blade is made of" Kassandra said pointing to Sly's left Hidden blade

"My hidden blade…is made of Isu metal" Sly asked

"HEY, maybe THAT explains why none of the fake Hidden blades that Dr. M made could open the vault door, because they weren't made of this Isu metal, the lock needed an Isu metal KEY to open it" Neyla said

"Ha, ha, you catch on quick, yes, the vault is made of a metal that is older than any living race on this planet, you could say…it came from the ones who came before us, but that's for another time…you are the current carrier of the Hidden blade" Kassandra asked

"Yes, I'm Sly…Sly Cooper and this is my lover and mate, Neyla" Sly introduced himself and his lover

"Well meet Cooper" Kassandra said

"So, how is it that your able to project your image like this" Sly asked

"Ever since my body passed from the land of the living and my mind became one with the special properties given to the Isu metal by those who created it, I have learned many things of life and death, of the past and the future…it told me that one day a boy who is part of our line and the line of another family lineage would visit the vault one last time and pass on the secrets contained within" Kassandra explained

"That's what I'm here for" Sly said

"Good…go to the inner sanctum of the vault and take the items left on each of the podiums that you find…and take the words of each ancestor you meet to heart" Kassandra said before his hologram started to fade away

"What…I don't understand…PLEASE, WAIT, I HAVE SO MANY QUESTIONS" Sly called out but nothing as Kassandra's image faded from view, he then looked at the spear of Leonidas on Kassandra's pedestal before he took it

"Love" Neyla said

"I can't explain it Neyla…but I feel we should listen to her words" Sly said

"If you feel like it's something you have to do, I'm with you" Neyla said before the continued down the gauntlet, they jumped onto some rotating barrels, being careful to jump to the next two when the other one's were briefly sunk under water, Sly and Neyla swung on hooks to get to the other side, Sly with the hook on his Gunbai fan and Neyla with her whip, they then came to another pedestal and painting which was of an Egyptian-looking couple and on the pedestal was a 5 Ft long, longbow with carvings on it that looked like that of Anubis the God of the dead in Egypt mythology

"Who are these two" Neyla asked before more hologram's this time of the Egyptian couple showed up

"I think they'll tell you" Sly said as the two bowed at the lover's

"Greetings keeper of the Hidden blade, I am called Bayek and this is my love Aya and we are the first of your ancestors to become Assassin's and founded the Assassin's order" Bayek said

"My name is Sly and this is Neyla, the pleasure is mine" Sly replied

"We were told by Kassandra that you and your lover would come…they remind me of us when we were young and passionate" Aya told Bayek

"They do…I just hope that they will stay together" Bayek said

"What's that mean" Sly asked

"Once when we were alive, we had a pair of sons this was before we became Assassins…or Assassin's were even needed where we were from, we were Medjay, the elite, Egyptian warriors who protected the province and the pharos, our youngest, he died because of our enemies and we swore vengeance against those who caused it to happen" Bayek explained

"But the longer we crusaded, the more we realized…we could not be together on this Earth while being loyal to the cause that we created at the same time" Aya added

"The Assassin's" Neyla asked

"Yes, we created the Assassin's and ever since then our descendants and the descendants of those we chose to help us with our crusade have followed the path of the creed we created…nothing is true" Aya said

"Everything is permitted" Sly said, both Aya and Bayek nodded

"But times have changed I'm sure, don't let our past define your future, Sly, stand by the creed's that you make" Bayek told Sly before the hologram of the two lovers, vanished, Sly then took the bow that was on the pedestal

"I intend to" Sly said

*And I specially intend to stand by Neyla when we're married* Sly said in his mind

"This bow is so beautifully made" Neyla said as Sly pulled back on the bow string a few times, it didn't even feel like it's weakened after all the time that it's been in the vault

"And it's STILL strong to" Sly said before the two moved forward with the gauntlet where they crossed a couple more barrels then had to rail walk over a couple of metal bars which were rigged with rolling, stone wheels to challenge all those who tried to move forward, after getting past them, they came to another painting and pedestal which had two Viking-like axes on it

"Nice axes, beautifully crafted" Sly said before another hologram appeared

"Thanks" A female voice said as a Viking woman appeared but while she was a raccoon, she had more of a wolf appearance

"And you are" Sly asked

"When I was alive, I was called Eivor Varinsdottir…friend, foe and clan alike knew me as Wolf-kissed and I was once a shieldmaiden" Eivor answered

"A real Viking" Sly asked

"Indeed, I was one of the few, female warriors in our Viking clan, I was just as tough, strong and fast as the men but I was smarter and more cunning, those axes you see…I helped fill Odin's graveyard with them, many foes…and sometimes friends who fell into darkness or were corrupted by greed have fallen by those blades" Eivor said, Sly then took the axes

"I hope you will put them to better usage then gathering dust in this place" Eivor said

"You said you had to send your friends to Odin…why" Sly asked

"Because Sly, they valued the gold they would have made or the power they would have gained instead of the honor we held so dear…don't follow in their footsteps, never give up your honor for anything and may Odin watch over you both" Eivor said before she vanished

"I liked her" Neyla said

"Yeah, Mario did say my mom back in her hay day was fierce…I think I know where she got it from now" Sly replied with a chuckle before they continued onward with more barrels, hooks and had to paraglide to another ledge where they came across another pedestal and painting, on the pedestal was a strange mechanism of a device

"Welcome" A calm and gentle voice spoke as another raccoon ancestor appeared before Sly, this one dressed in ceremonial white, grey and red robes and the raccoon in question looked to be in his late 80's with a white beard

"Who are you" Neyla asked

"Altair Ibn La'Ahad, young lady a pleasure to meet you both" Altair answered

"The eagle son of none" Neyla asked

"Yes" Altair answered

"So…what's your tale sir" Sly asked, feeling like Altair was a man worthy of any respect one could give

"When I was alive during the Crusades, I was once a master assassin, I was quite literally BORN into the Assassin's life, I was a natural prodigy and became a master at only the age of twenty…but then I made a TERRIBLE mistake" Altair said

"What mistake" Sly asked

"The mistake of believing that the creed that had governed us since it was founded meant we were free to do as we pleased…and because of that belief and my arrogance, a heavy price was paid, one of my friends lost his brother and his left arm because of the selfish choices that I made…I was reduced to a novice again meant to work my way back to master…and as I did, I learned the truth" Altair explained

"What's that" Neyla asked

"That our creed, it does not command us to be free…but to be wise and when I learned that lesson…I eventually reached the rank of mentor to the Assassin's order of the Holy lands…please, take it" Altair said as he motioned to the device on his pedestal to which Sly did

"What is it" Sly asked

"A device ahead of the time when I created it, I offer this advice to you, young one, act with wisdom, not arrogance and you will do well" Altair said

"The third crusade, what was it like" Sly asked

"I shall regale you with the tales when we next meet…but until that time comes, live well" Altair said

"I…I don't know why but…for some reason I feel like I'm talking to a grandfather figure, even though I never meet my real grandparents before" Sly said

"If you wish to say something, then you may speak" Altair said, Sly then took a breath inward before he spoke

"Much that is good in me…came from you…thank you" Sly said, Altair's face then turned sad

"Sir, are you alright" Neyla asked Altair

The sound of the bang shocked both Sly and Neyla

"WHOA…it's a gun" Neyla said

"Unreal…Altair created a working gun in the twelfth century…where did he even GET the idea for this" Sly asked, amazed at Altair's craftsmanship

"And to think the history books said that guns were invented in the fourteenth century not the twelfth century…one of your ancestors was the creator of the gun, sheer GENIUS" Neyla told Sly

"That's what Bentley would have said…still, Altair…he truly was ahead of his time" Sly said before the lovers continued until they came to a circling device that had a cobra coiling around four huge boulders, the rotation was going in a pattern to which Sly and Neyla had to memorize and time for them to get to the top of the structure before they paraglided to the next area where they found another pedestal and painting and on the pedestal a book

"Now who is this" Neyla asked

"That is me" A voice spoke up as another hologram of a raccoon man appeared and approached the lovers

"And who are you" Neyla asked

"I am Ezio Auditore da Firenze" Ezio greeted the two

"Da…what" Sly asked

"Da…FIRENZE…the city where I was born in fourteen fifty-nine" Ezio answered

"The year of the Italian Renaissance…wait a minute…did you meet Leonardo da Vinci" Neyla said

"That I did, he was a GREAT inventor and painter, he did this painting of me before he died, his last gift to me…and he is one of my closest friends, it was a good time to be alive…for all but me, my father and two brothers were murdered by a man I thought was a family friend, before then I was what others would call a womanizer who loved to get into trouble and fool around with women, but I valued family and loyalty above all else…it wasn't until I was forced to come to terms with my family legacy did I change" Ezio said

"Into what" Sly asked

"Made by my friend da Vincie himself…these designs were once in the hands of the enemy, tried to be used for war…even after said enemy was defeated he continued to think up of inventions, he gave me this book before he passed away, hopefully the future generation can put them and the machines they make to some good usage…farewell" Ezio said before he vanished, Sly then looked through the designs

"WHEW, now our resident genius's will for SURE wanna take a look at these babies" Sly said before the lovers continued onward to the next pedestal which lay beyond these large rings and they used careful timing to get form one giant ring to the next before they came to a wall with HUGE, log-splitting axes, they had to time their sneaking properly to get up to the top where they saw the next pedestal and a pair of pistol swords on it

"Well" A voice spoke up before the next ancestor was projected

"About time you showed up here boy…what kept ya" The ancestor asked

"Oh, nothing just the GIANT axes that could cleave a log in half with a single swing" Sly said

"It was a good challenge, though…but enough with that, the names Edward…Edward James Kenway, a privateer, turned pirate, turned Assassin" Edward said

"A pirate…I had pirates on BOTH sides of my family line" Sly asked

"It was a big money-making career back during the golden age of piracy…in fact I think I once crossed blades with another of your family line…Henriette Cooper" Edward said

"You MEET Henriette" Neyla asked

"Aye, that I did…HA, what a spitfire she was, I probably would have run off and married the lass to, had I not had another woman and a daughter…she was one of my closest friends, along with Thatch" Edward said

"Right, lass…I found direction, I found allies and I found myself and what I wanted out of my life, I even meet the woman that I would eventually restore my broken heart after I learned of the passing of my daughter's mother" Edward said

"Beautifully crafted to" Neyla added before they continued onward, further into the gauntlet where they had to pass a long hallway with swords coming out of the walls to which the lovers had to Ninja spire jump their way across it to reach the other end of the hallway and found the next ancestor projection waiting on them

"Hello" Sly greeted the ancestors hologram

"I heard from my grandfather than you would be coming" The ancestor said

"Your grandfather…Edward" Sly asked

"My grandfather, yes…my name is Ratonhnhake:ton" Ratonhnhake:ton said

"Is that Indian" Neyla asked

"Yes…but you may call me Connor Kenway" Ratonhnhake:ton/Connor said

"It's a pleasure to meet you Connor" Sly said

"The pleasure is mine, we have been waiting to pass our knowledge onto the next keeper of the Hidden blade, if you will indulge me" Connor said

"Like some of the other ancestors I was not born into the Assassin's, I was born from the union of my father, Edwards son and a Native American woman during the Revolutionary war, I lived in relative peace before my mother lost her life after the enemies of the Assassin's burnt my village to the ground, as the years went by and with training from my future mentor Achilles I hunted down the men responsible…including the one who ordered it…Charles Lee" Connor explained

"Charles Lee…he was an enemy of the Assassin's" Neyla asked

"He was, but I wasn't always the most patient of students, I was SO CONSUMED by hatred for Lee and those who did me and my people wrong that…I motivated my people into fighting in the war" Connor said

"But wasn't that a good thing, they would be fighting for their land" Neyla said

"THEY WERE TRICKED INTO JOINING THE WRONG SIDE…I had NO choice but to KILL my best friend, Kanen'to:kon, I refused to listen to Achilles's words and wisdom and I pay a PRICE for it…you listen to my words, Sly…when those with wisdom and experience speak, heed them…even when your angry" Connor told Sly who nodded

"The vials on my pedestal…take it" Connor said, Sly then walked up to Connor's pedestal which had seven vials of strange liquid in it to which Sly took them

"What are they" Sly asked

"Inside those vials are the last remnants of the Red willow tree…back in my days of life, our bravest and strongest warriors would drink sap from the tree…and be granted special powers from the Sky world" Connor explained

"Powers" Neyla asked

"Though they come with a price, the more you drink the more the mind withers away, one should not drink more than three in their life" Connor explained

"So, use with caution…got it" Sly said

"The utmost caution, though I pray you don't have to use them, but if you do…take care…and I hope that one day I will see you in the land of the great spirit, Sly" Connor told Sly before he vanished

"Special powers" Sly asked Neyla

"Well, you've seen weird stuff before with Mz. Ruby, Contessa, the Mask of dark earth and Tsao" Neyla said

"Good point" Sly replied before they continued which was a long hallway with moving, laser security generators which made it impossible to get past them unless you snuck under the logs along the hallways floor which the lovers had to in order to avoid the lasers before coming to another painting and pedestal which had another strange device on it, Sly then picked it up and the next ancestor showed up

"Salut mon ami (Hello my friend)" The ancestor greeted Sly in a French accent

"Salut (Hello) yourself" Neyla said

"My name is Arno Dorian, and I was a master Assassin during the French revolution" Arno said

"You mean like Napoleon" Sly asked

"Yes, I meet Monsieur (Mister) Bonaparte a few times, you could say I ran with dangerous crowds" Arno said

"Like who" Sly asked

"Like the ancient enemy of the Assassin's…but my experience with them was a shade different than the rest, my father was murdered when I was but a young boy and one of these enemies who was much kinder than others of his brotherhood…he took me in and cared for me…I even fell in love with his daughter, Elise" Arno said

"But then something happened" Neyla said

"Your intuition is spot on…first it was her father…then it was her who was murdered, I sided with her and she with me when our orders told us not to…a forbidden love as some would call it, in the end it all boiled down to us being loyal to each other in our times of strife…my advice to you Sly…ALWAYS stay loyal to those you love, even when the rest of the world gives you a reason not to…jusqu'a la prochaine fois nous rencontrons (till next time we meet) Sly" Arno said before he vanished, Sly then took the device from the pedestal before he tinkered around with it before it opened into a small crossbow before shooting a miniature crossbow bolt

"Yeah, let's keep going" Sly replied before they continued onward, they came to huge wheels like in their previous challenge from the gauntlet only they were like Old Western railroad tracks before the two came to a pair of ropes which they had to climb WHILE avoiding these moving turning wheels on them, they soon climbed to the top where they came to another pedestal and painting

"Two in the same painting, just like Bayek and Aya" Neyla said

"But with one difference, kitty" A male voice spoke up as two ancestors appeared, one male and one female

"WE…make it look BETTER" The male said

"And you two would be" Neyla asked

"Evie Frye, this is my twin brother, Jacob…I'm your mother great grandmother, Sly" Evie said

"And I happen to be the great grandfather of your uncle Mario" Jacob added

"Really" Sly asked

"Are you kidding…you got my handsome face, boy" Jacob said

"He looks more like my son, Jacob, let me look at you" Evie said as she took a close look at Sly's face

"Your eyes are like my son's…so full of love and strength, JUST how I hoped my great, great grandson would turn out" Evie said

"So, tell us, how's the outside world doing, lot of advancements since the Industrial revolution" Jacob asked Sly

"Wait you guys were in the Industrial revolution" Neyla asked

"We were, London, England, it was a marvel" Evie said

"Not so much for the poor devils, the poor whose blood, tears and sweat was shed to build such a great empire…and run by the enemies of the Assassin's no less, so we…liberated them" Jacob said

"A revolution within a revolution" Sly said

"There ya go…but even THAT was paradise compared to what we had coming" Jacob said

"What's that" Neyla asked, the siblings looked at each other before they answered

"Jack" Evie and Jacob answered at the same time

"Jack" Sly asked

"Jack who" Neyla asked

"Think about it, twenty years AFTER we defeated our enemies and freed the city…the Autumn of terror" Evie said, soon it clicked for the lovers

"I…I gotta seat down" Sly said as he sat down on the ground

"Shocking…SHOCKING…I just found out that I'm RELATED to one of histories most bloodthirsty and VILE killers, so YEAH, I'M PRETTY FUCKING SHOCKED" Sly said

"He wasn't always like that…we knew him before he became the Ripper, he grew up with a very rough childhood and he was angry…when he meet my sister…I don't know he wasn't as angry anymore, thanks to Evie he was under control…even I have to say they were really in love…that was until, Jack's mother died and the Assassin's refused to help execute her killer" Jacob explained

"That was his last relative in the world…well, other than his baby that was growing in my womb at the time, but before I could tell him, he attacked me…I was FORCED to kill the father of my child" Evie said as Jacob placed a comforting hand on her shoulder

"Easy old girl" Jacob told Evie

"Why are you telling me this" Sly asked

"To let you know that even though Jack was bad…something good came out of it, your mother, without Jack there wouldn't be a YOU" Jacob told Sly as he stood back up

"From something bad, something good" Sly muttered, Jacob and Evie nodded

"Tell your uncle Mario his grandfather says hi" Jacob said before he vanished with a tip of his top hat

"Goodbye Sly…I look forward to meeting you in the future" Evie said before she vanished, Sly pulled himself together before he breathed in and then out

"Love, are you alright" Neyla asked, he then hugged his lover for some comfort

"Thank you love" Sly said before he kissed her gently before Sly claimed the relics on the pedestal of the Cooper twins which was cane sword and a 44 Magnum revolver, the lovers continued onward where they passed more hooks and got past these pillars they had to crossover and avoid the moving plane blades that were spinning on them, they had to carefully time when the blades were spinning and when they weren't spinning, eventually they got to the other side where they came up to a pedestal with a picture on it that was all too familiar to Sly

"Wait a minute" Sly muttered

"What is it" Neyla asked as Sly looked at the picture, it was of a female raccoon in a rocking chair with a much younger raccoon, no more than three years old in her lap, Sly's eye's widened…he KNEW who this woman was even with the piece that showed her head was torn off

"My…my MOM…this is HER work" Sly said as the lovers looked at the painting of a young Sly and Gabriella, secretly Sly was hoping that a hologram would appear but…nothing and on the pedestal was not a piece of weaponry or equipment but…a sheet of paper?

"Love, what is this thing" Neyla asked as she and Sly looked at it and it was blank, but then Sly used Eagle vision which then revealed what was unseen

"Ghost ink" Sly said

"What does it say" Neyla asked

"They're…instructions for something" Sly said before Neyla noticed the next part of the vault which was cut off from them by this long gap that was EASILY the length of a football field and nothing connecting it but a laser, also being projected on a wall by other lasers was the Assassin's symbol

"You think it has something to do with this" Neyla asked as Sly walked over to the gap, he then looked back to the sheet of paper

"Maybe" Sly muttered before he connected the two

"This is…this isn't an assassination technique it's a master THIEF move…mom must have made it so that when she came here only someone like me or my dad could go any further" Sly said before he tried something

"SLY WHAT ARE YOU" Neyla was about to say before he ran back and jumped on the laser line and he slide on the laser without getting hurt by it, he made it to the other side of the large gap

"How…HOW DID YOU DO THAT" Neyla shouted form the other side

"JUST DO WHAT I DID" Sly called back as Neyla remembered the movements of how Sly did it, and she tried it herself which worked and she joined Sly on the other side of the large gap

"How…HOW DID I DO THAT" Neyla asked

"Mom's OWN master thief move that only SHE knew how to use" Sly said

"She must have learned more from your dad than you thought" Neyla said before Sly looked above as if staring at heaven itself

"Mom…your move is AWESOME" Sly shouted which resonated through the WHOLE gantlet

"Judging from the security love…we might be getting close to the inner sanctum" Neyla said before they continued and came to a WHOLW HALLWAY filled to the BRIM with lasers

"Oh WOW" Neyla said

"Nice work mom" Sly said

"Yeah, I always knew your mom was smart but THIS" Neyla said

"It's PURE…artistry" Sly said before they used their new "Laser slide" move to cross the long hallway, sliding on the lasers before getting to the other side which lead to the inner sanctum

"Is this it, love" Neyla asked

"Yeah, the INNER SANCTUM…damn, I wish the others were here to see this" Sly said

"Me as well love but at least I'm here with you" Neyla said

"Yeah…I wouldn't want any other woman with me at this very moment" Sly said before he kissed his lover before they entered the inner sanctum of the vault

(Back with Mario, Murray and Bentley just as Neyla and Sly went into the gauntlet)

"Let's go love" Sly told Neyla as they rail walked on some rope before getting to the other door and opening it before entering the gauntlet leaving the turtle, hippo and elder raccoon who spread out among the room

"I'M SO PUMPED, this is gonna be the biggest payday of ALL TIME…I mean, think of all the LOOK piled up back there" Murray said

"I couldn't agree more Murray, after we're done here not only will we be set for life, but we'll be able to pay for Bentley's surgery" Mario added before he noticed Bentley was silent

"Something bothering you Bentley, your rather quiet" Mario said

"Oh…just thinking is all" Bentley said

"About what" Murray asked

"Do…do you guys ever get the feeling that we're playing second fiddle to Sly…like he treats us as sidekicks, sometimes" Bentley asked

"BENTLEY, Sly's our family" Mario said

"Yeah, how could you think that we're all in this together like the three musketeers just on a WHOLE NEW LEVEL OF COOLNESS" Murray added but unknown to them some of Dr. M's men snuck up behind them

"Sure, we're all here but are we equal…who went into the vault, Sly and Neyla…by themselves" Bentley said, suddenly the guard tried to attack Mario

"MARIO, WATCH OUT" Murray shouted before Mario reacted fast, blocked the attack of the guard and hip tossed the guard into the pit

"DR. M'S GOONS" Bentley said in shock

"Damn it, they must have forced the vault door open when we opened the lock" Mario said

"Wh-what do we do, there must be a HUNDRED of them coming our way" Bentley said

"Think of it this way, Bentley is it were YOU in that vault and not Sly or Neyla and they were out here…what would they do" Murray asked, Bentley paused before he answered

"Stop these thugs…and protect their family" Bentley answered, Mario then pulled out his Kukri blade and pistol

"Then that's what we do, you and me Murray, care for a tag team" Mario asked

"It would be MY PLEASURE SIR, Bentley keep your head down and stay clear…we and Mario are gonna kick a LOT OF ASS and we don't want yours to be one of em" Murray said before the men started coming in

"COME AND GET IT YA WALKING FREAKSHOWS, I GOT A KNUCKLE SANDWICH FOR EVERYONE OF YA AND IT'S CHOW TIME" Murray shouted as he and Mario started swinging, these guards were more than dangerous, thanks to Dr. M's experimentation on them, they were able to produce explosives by upchucking them and releasing miniature sonic howl attacks, then the other kind of guards showed up where they could literally rip their own claws off and throw them as projectiles before regenerating them and tried to chomp down on Mario and Murray but the two together managed to hold their grounds, they took out a hundred of them before things looked clear

"That appears to be the last of em" Mario said

"OH YEAH, you're all knocked DOWN and the Murray and Mario STANDS TALL…LIKE A FREAKING TOTEM POLE OF STRONGISM" Murray shouted before Dr. M himself showed up

"DR. M" Bentley shouted, the three turned to see the mad scientist

"Ah, Murray, you're MUCH stronger than McSweeny ever was" Dr. M said

"That's RIGHT PLUG HEAD…I'm like a semi-truck with the BREAKS CUT" Murray said

"I don't think so, Murray" The voice of Kion spoke before he showed up as well

"K…Kion" Bentley asked

"Long time, no see Bentley…Murray…Mario" Kion greeted the three he used to know

"By the ancestors Kion…you ARE alive" Mario said

"DUDE, I can't believe you're not" Murray was about to say

"Dead, no thanks to Sly's father and his thieving ancestry" Kion replied

"Kion…whatever Dr. M has been telling you, it's NOT Connor's fault" Mario said

"Save it, Mario, M took me in when YOU ALL LEFT OUR HOME IN RUINS and worse…that nephew of yours TOOK my Neyla from me, well now…I'm taking her BACK" Kion said

"Stay out of this Murray, you to Bentley, if either of you get in my way, I won't hesitate to put you both in the ground" Kion replied

"In the virtual chat rooms where we contacted Penelope someone has been messaging me almost the same time after we started working to build our team…IT WAS YOU, wasn't it, Kion" Bentley asked, ever since the end of the Venice job a while back, Bentley has been talking to someone over the internet chat rooms and what he's been reading from this other person made him somewhat question if Sly really did treat him like an equal or just a sidekick…or a slave, now he knew, it wasn't just some random person with shit to say…it was Kion the WHOLE TIME, trying to drive a wedge between Bentley and the people he calls family

"You got me, yes it was" Kion answered

"And you could do MUCH better than what you're doing now, Bentley, as long as your under Sly's thumb you'll NEVER reach your full potential, why not wise up and join me and Kion, we could most certainly use someone of your intellect" Dr. M said

"All this time Kion…you've been planting doubts in my mind about Sly and the others" Bentley said

"To snap you to your senses, you think you and Cooper are friends, maybe even family but you're his SLAVE and when he's through with you he'll abandon you like I was abandoned" Kion said, Bentley was silent or a few seconds

"Mario…Murray…I…I was a fool to think that I was playing sidekick to Sly" Bentley said

"Hey, it's alright buddy, we're family and family sticks together no matter what" Murray said

"Agreed and now we have to protect this family…by taking Kion and M DOWN" Mario said

"That would be an ill-advised course of action, Mario…and I must say it's been FAR TOO long the years have been far kinder to you than they have to me" Dr. M said

"UGH, I'm so hurtful that you don't remember me…maybe THIS will remind you" Dr. M said as he unsheathed something from under his left forearm, it was a HIDDEN BLADE, but it was pronged

"IS THAT" Murray was about to ask

"Only ASSASSIN'S are given those, WHERE DID YOU GET IT" Mario asked

"You honestly don't remember do you, Mario, though I guess I shouldn't be surprised, it HAS been decades since we last meet face to face" Dr. M said, Mario then looked closer at the mad man before it hit him

"NO…it CAN'T be…Maurice" Mario asked

"MAURICE" Bentley and Murray asked at once

"I haven't heard that name in a long time, but despite you reminding me of my beloved…it's somewhat good to see you again Mario, my old FRIEND" Dr. M said, suddenly T'Challa dropped down from the entrance to the vault and aimed his guns at Dr. M

"Sorry we're late" T'Challa said before Cammy, Jasmine, Genji, Hanzo, Panda King and Trixie showed up

"THE CAVALRY HAS ARRIVED" Cammy said

"I thought Sly told you to hold down the fort back on the Sekhmet" Bentley told T'Challa

"Penelope saw Dr. M and his men come in here and we thought you might need some backup" Trixie said

"Is the long-haired one this Kion guy you lot were talking about" Trixie asked the others

"That's him alright" Hanzo answered

"A new face in the family…well then if she has chosen to throw her lot in with Sly, then she will get what's coming to the rest of you" Kion said

"Talk is cheap, it's time for round two" Genji said

"I'M FOR THAT" Murray said

"Maurice…is that REALLY you" Mario asked Dr. M

"MAURICE" T'Challa, Panda King, Jasmine, Genji and Hanzo asked at once

"I gather you were the technical specialist who ran with Mario and Sly's mother in the Assassin's back in the day" Bentley asked Dr. M

"Excuse me" Jasmine asked

"Wait, WHAT" T'Challa asked

(Okay, if you guys would, HEAR ME OUT on this one, when I came across a video on YouTube called "Top 10 best Sly Cooper villains" made by the YouTuber "SlyLancey" he had Dr. M on there and he had a theory concerning the mad doctor, he has theorized that Dr. M was the one who tipped off Clockwerk to where Connor Cooper was and thus resulted in the death of Sly's parents and this is only a fan theory but…I think it had some merit to it, think about it, as a master thief with decades of experience, Connor would know how to effectively hide his tracks from those who wanted to hunt him down, so Clockwerk couldn't find him but when someone who once worked with Connor and who knew Connor very well, like Dr. M, he would know where Connor could be FOUND…makes sense right and criticize me if you want but, I think that "SlyLancey" theory might be true)

"THIS GUYS STRONGER THAN HE LOOKS…NEED SOME…HELP" Murray said as he struggled against Dr. M's strength, as they struggled Penelope called Bentley over the earpiece and told him that the jewels on the four statue pillars around the room were some kind of ancient security system and believed that if it was placed on Dr. M's back they could use them against the mad man, as the team's fighters fought off the flashlight guards Murray was aided by Bentley who electrified the doc when Murray tossed him in the air, meanwhile the rest of the gang dealt with the guards, tag-teaming with each other to take out multiple guards at once or taking out the bigger flashlight guards, meanwhile Bentley repeated the process that Penelope pitched to him three more times before all the flashlight guards were beat and so was Dr. M

Sly and Neyla came to the inner sanctum where they laser slid to the center and were amazed at what was in the center of the room a huge case containing a mannequin on this mannequin was a set of armor and on a mannequin with hand-written note stuck to it

"Oh WOW…that is one sick set of armor" Neyla said, Sly then read what the note said

"To he or she who is next in line to inherit, this is the Isu armor, a machination of pieces of armor collected over the centuries, the best armor we could forge, light as a feather but stronger than steel, may it serve you in all your endeavors and remember…we work in the dark to serve the light…we are Assassin's" Sly read the tablet before looking over the armor which consisted of a chest plate, pauldron, armbraces, leg braces, a decorated cloak and a hood and mask (The chest piece of the Native armor mixed with the fur waist cloak from the Brutus armor, the pauldron piece was the Ishak Pasha armor, the armbraces of Altair's armor, the leg braces of Mayan's armor, the cloak of Thegn's armor but it had the shoulder fur of the Galloglach armor and the headpiece is that of the Isu armor mask and hood)

"I can't believe it my ancestors left me this…it's so beautifully crafted" Sly said

"THAT'S THE LAST STRAW…time to END THIS" Sly shouted

"I couldn't agree MORE, with you DEAD I will FINALLY be rid of the memory of CONNOR COOPER, ONCE AND FOR ALL" Dr. M shouted

"So do I with Kion" Neyla replied before the four engaged in their battle, Dr. M attacked with jumping slam attacks, charging attacks with his head devices sharp arms he tried to use to impale either Sly before Sly started shooting at the doctor who used a helicopter mode on his device and started flying about while Kion was trying to subdue Neyla, not kill her though, Neyla was much more agile and athletic than Kion so she was keeping up with his Kenjutsu and matching it with her whip skills, meanwhile Dr. M used the device at the top of the room to hang from before attacking with a laser, good thing Sly was unbelievably agile and hard to pin down before he shot Dr. M down from his hanging position with an explosive arrow before they continued their brawl, as the four fought on, the metal legs on Dr. M's device was being destroyed one piece at a time as he attacked with fire, electricity and even energy and water-based attacks being projected by his head device and despite the number of tricks that Kion's robotic arm had like the flamethrower, fiber cord whip, repeater crossbow, forearm blades and even a small, hidden, single shot cannon, Neyla kept him on his toes and even landed more than a fair share of hits on him eventually there came a ceasefire, however due to Dr. M's random blasting the room, the conflict between the combatants was so great that the entire room started to rumble and become unstable, shaking violently

"NEYLA, NICK" Carmelita shouted as Nick tossed one of his Shock pistols to Neyla

"TAKE EM DOWN" Carmelita shouted as the three unleashed a barrage of shock blasts on Dr. M and Kion who tried to shoot back but against three opponents not to mention three angry one's and one plum pissed off lover, it wasn't long before Dr. M was defeated as his headgear was knocked off and he was knocked out cold as for Kion, he was backed into a corner before he was sent flying off the platform

"NEYLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" Kion shouted as he plummeted to the abyss below

"I'm sorry Kion" Neyla muttered

"Check on Sly, we got this creep covered" Nick told Neyla who jumped up to where Sly was, Neyla sat next to Sly and cradled his head in her arms and removed his mask and hood

"Sly…SLY, WAKE UP" Neyla said as Sly came around

"GUYS, you okay" Nick called form the lower platform, the two then whipped away their tears

"Save the water works for later" Sly said before they both jumped down to the lower platform where the two parents to be meet the cops

"Yeah, I'm great" Sly said before he looked at Neyla

"Um…are we MISSING something here" Nick asked

"LET'S GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE" Sly said before the five ran for it but not before Sly picked up the armor that was in the case which had shattered during the fight with Dr. M before exited through the other door that the cops and Bentley came in through, they booked it something fierce and it wasn't just in the vault but the WHOLE island was coming apart at the seams, despite a few close calls, they managed to get to the Sekhmet where the others were waiting

"MASTER" T'Challa said in surprise

"Nephew, are you" Mario was about to ask

"NOT NOW, MURRAY, PANDA KING, WEIGH ANCHOR, GENJI, HANZO, SHAZZA GET THE SAILS LOSE, WE GOTTA GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE, TRIPLE TIME, LET'S GO" Sly shouted as he quickly took the wheel and the team plus Carmelita and Nick sailed away from Lian Yu just in time to watch the final fate of the Assassin's legacy as the mountain that the vault was built into just…CRUMBLED to pieces, the largest mountain on the island just gone, the island was still there but it's biggest mountain was reduced to nothing but pieces, the shaking go so bad that it hade HUGE waves in the ocean around the island luckily the group managed to get away

"WE'RE CLEAR BOSS" Genji shouted as the crew breathed a sigh of relief

"OH, thank God" Sly muttered before he and Neyla joined the crew and the cops down on the main deck

"WHEW…what you said about pulling this ship from Neptune's teeth months ago, Mario" Zak said to the elderly raccoon

"Well, I think this escape was even CLOSER" Zak said

"You can say that again spikey hair, that was close" Trixie said before the others noticed Carmelita and Nick

"TRY us" Genji and Hanzo said at once Sly and Neyla then told them about all that they saw, all without mentioning that he was related to Jack the ripper, meeting the hologram images of Sly and Mario's assassin ancestors, the words of wisdom they told them about, the inner sanctum and the armor they found, the cops showing up and the final showdown with Dr. M and Kion, it wasn't long before Mario noticed something with the parents-to be

"Well…yeah" Sly said it wasn't long before Bentley and the others noticed Sly's look

"BOSS MAN COME HERE" Zak shouted as he jumped on Sly and the two hugged each other, laughing

"I know that I can never take back what I did to you, your friends and Mario though I wish to heaven I could…but I swear on my life that if I can protect this child with either my life…or my death, I would be honored to do so, I swear from one father…to another" Panda King said before bowed to Sly and Neyla

"Thank you, Panda King, let's put the past behind us…and focus on the future" Sly replied before he held out his hand to Panda King who took it, and they shook before Neyla hugged the big panda

"But…there is ONE more thing I need to do before all this vault heist can OFFICIALLY be over" Sly said before he looked at Mario who winked at him for good luck…not that he needs it

"Something that I've been meaning to ask Neyla ever since we were reunited three years ago and with a child on the way, I figure the BEST time to ask is now" Sly said before he got down on one knee, pulled out the ring box and looked up at Neyla SQUARE in the eye

"Neyla…you've already made me the happiest man in the world, knowing that my child or children will have such a WONDERFUL mother, but will you make me the happiest man in existence…by becoming my wife" Sly said as he opened the ring box to show the ring he bought for her and showed to Mario at the start of this whole thing

"Will you marry me, Neyla" Sly asked Neyla who had tears forming in her eyes as their teammates were either stunned or smiling near ear to ear, Neyla then let Sly slip the ring on her finger, Sly then stood up

"YES" Neyla answered before they kissed, and the gang cheered for the newly engaged couple

"This is almost TOO perfect of an ending to believe" Trixie said

"But don't it bring the warm and COZY feelings right in here, lady bang-bang" Dimitri asked

"Yeah…yeah, it does" Trixie answered before Dimitri couldn't help but burst out crying with joy for his former enemy turned friend

(A few hours later)

As the crew along with Carmelita and Nick sailed away from Lian Yu, they were in wild celebration, they pulled off their BIGGEST caper yet and for the first time…the "criminals" and cops got along and thanks to the new "auto-pilot" that was built on the Sekhmet, they had next to nothing to worry about as they chilled, relaxed and partied down, they MORE than earned it after all the shit, trouble and danger they had gone through

"I'm just saying shock bolts are faster than arrows" Nick said as he put his hand on his shock pistol which rested on his right hip in its holster

"Not in my hands, they ain't" Sly replied as he slightly pulled an arrow out of his quiver

"Ready gents" Bentley asked as he stood by a machine before the two readied themselves

"Set" Nick and Sly said at once before

"And…PULL" Bentley shouted as he used the machine to send a total of nine shooting discs flying before the two marksmen started shooting at the targets, each earning equal points before they hit the final one at the same time

"TIE…for the fifth time" Bentley said

"FOR REAL" Nick asked

"For real" Bentley answered

"Damn Nick, you would have made one hell of a sniper" Sly told Nick

"Nah, the whole seating in one place for more than forty-six hours isn't really my strong suit" Nick said

"Five ties in a ROW, didn't think anyone could match Sly in marksmanship" Neyla said as she and Carmelita were sunbathing in swimsuits

"Nicky is no slouch with that shock pistol, that's for sure" Carmelita said as she noticed that Neyla was looking at her

"Well, um…if I'm being honest, y-yeah" Hanzo answered

"AAAAWW, Hanzo's got a crush" Jasmine said

"Hanzo is a dog, no" Helen asked with a little laugh

"Both figuratively and literally" Shazza said

"A crush on ME of all the girls here, I'm flattered, you cute, little puppy" Cammy said

"PUPPY" Hanzo asked before Cammy kissed his cheek, making him blush

"On second thought, puppy is fine" Hanzo said a little dazed by his first kiss

"Well, off the topic of crushes, what are we gonna do with all the loot we have" Jasmine asked

"I don't know about you lot but…I think I might have something in mind for my cut" Aria said

"What's that" Penelope asked

"Remember that "rehabilitation" prison" Aria asked

"The one your former madwoman aunt used to run" Hanzo asked

"Yeah, I figured I put that place to some ACTUAL good for a change, turn it into a hospital to help those who suffer from mental problems…try to erase the bad history in it" Aria said

"That sounds like a GREAT idea Aria" Penelope said

"Yeah, take that place out of the dark ages and into the future, I like it" Jasmine said

"I'll say and coming from someone who's spent a LONG time in it, the place NEEDS IT" Murray said, suddenly the others smelt something…really bad

"UGH, what reeks" Cammy asked

"I don't know but WHEW, smells like rotten eggs" Hanzo said

"Um, Murray…what is THAT" Aria asked, pointing to the fishing poles the two fishers were using

"What are you blind, they're fishing poles, what else" Shazza asked

"I think she meant what's on the HOOK" Jasmine said

"Huh, OH…that's my secret fishing weapon" Murray said

"What IS it" Aria asked

"Moldy cheese and fatback" Murray answered

"UGH" Cammy, Hanzo, Penelope, Aria, Helen and Jasmine grunted at the same time before Murray and Guru casted they're lines in the water again

"NASTY" Hanzo muttered

"FOR REAL" Cammy said

"YEAH, who DOES that" Penelope asked

"I do, me and my students would fish from time to time back home" Guru answered

"It WORKS, trust me" Murray told the girls

"It draws in the fish like a bear to a beehive" Shazza added

"Let's make a note NEVER to have Murray, Shazza or Guru make breakfast, luck or dinner" Hanzo told the other girls

"You SAID IT" Penelope agreed

"Uh-huh" Aria also agreed

"Ditto" Jasmine added

"Agreed" Helen

"You ain't gotta tell me twice" Cammy added, meanwhile Panda King and Mario were playing a game of chess in the shade

"So, Panda King, what's your next step here, back to China" Mario asked

"For now, I will return to Jing King…hopefully I can make it up to her for not being there for her" Panda King said

"She'll be thrilled to have you back home with her, but are you going to invite her and Wong to join us at Sly and Neyla's wedding" Mario asked

"I intend to, after all, it only makes sense that she comes to the wedding of the people who helped them with their own wedding" Panda King replied

"Well, we'd love to have them and I assume it'll be the first time your daughter will be visiting Paris" Mario asked

"Indeed" Panda King answered

"That'll be a good experience for her" Mario said

"Mario, did you ever imagine that one day Neyla would be a future in-law to your family" Panda King asked, Mario then looked to see Sly and Neyla who were cuddling on a beach chair with the biggest smiles he had seen on them in the longest time

"On some level…I knew it, Sly fell in love with her even before he knew what love was, I haven't seen that kind of smile on my nephew's face since that time I promised to get him a pet for his ninth birthday" Mario said as he moved a chess piece

"I only wish that his parents were still here" Panda King said as he moved a chess piece

"Panda King, you EARNED your redemption when you fought to protect Sly back in the vault and helped to claim his inheritance…and…I think it's high time that I forgive you for what you have done" Mario said as he held out his right hand to Panda King

"What do you say to letting the past go and focus on the future" Mario asked, Panda King gave a true, genuine smile before he took and shook Mario's hand

"I believe it is high past time that both of us moved on" Panda King said

"Agreed, because all I see now is the future that is in store for this family…and that includes YOU" Mario said

"Thank you, friend, but this still leaves one more thing" Panda King said

"What's that" Mario asked

"Whether it would be wise to tell Sly the truth about Dr. M and his hand in…you know what" Panda King answered, Mario hesitated for a bit, was it right to keep his nephew in the dark about Dr. M tipping Clockwerk off which resulted in the loss of his parents or was it justified to keep that fact hidden during such a time of celebration and happiness, what with Neyla being pregnant with Sly's child, Mario's grandnephew or niece and they were engaged to be married would he really ruin such a perfect moment?

"I…I'm unsure" Mario answered

"I understand your hesitation Mario…it is not in my right to tell you whether you should or should not tell him, that is up to you" Panda King said leaving Mario wondering which action he should take, with the two men and the other members of the family thinking of the future ahead of them

"I can't BELIEVE we're hanging out with Sly and his friends" Carmelita whispered to Nick

"Hey, it's been a long road to get here, and we've had it rough chasing them, we deserve at least this much…besides other thieves that we've either locked up or tried to ain't NEARLY as forgiving as these guys are" Nick replied

"I suppose so…hey, Nick…you don't think I'm too black and white do you" Carmelita asked

"Honestly, sometimes, but you're just doing your job, but just because Sly and his family aren't on the right side of the law doesn't make them bad people, kind of a Robin hood scenario" Nick said

"But that's during overwhelming and tyrannical taxing" Carmelita said

"Don't need a tyrant to wanna do something right, besides if that wasn't the case then you would have been brainwashed by the Contessa, would still be on the run from Interpol, killed by the Blue viper gondola gang back in Venice, possessed by that bad spirit mask back in Australia or shot by that mad scientist back in the vault" Nick said, Carmelita paused

"Well" Nick asked

"Okay…you make your point, but what's our boss gonna say" Carmelita asked

"Let me explain it to the boss, for now, let's just enjoy our "cruise" alright" Nick asked, Carmelita had to admit, she's never felt more relaxed than she is now, even among the Cooper gang, she even cracked a rare, genuine smile

"Alright" Carmelita said as she snuggled up to Nick's side and he put an arm around her as Sly took out a couple of canned drinks from a nearby cooler and offered one to Neyla

"To our future" Sly told his fiancée and baby momma

"For us, our friends…and our baby" Neyla added as they drank

"Hey Sly, speaking of your future, now that your probably set for life…other than married and parent life, what now" Nick asked

"Well, we figured that we open a restaurant" Sly answered

"Restaurant" Carmelita asked

"Somewhere sunny, near the beach, you know get used to retirement before hanging the family business to our kid" Sly explained

"Or kids" Nick said

"Right" Sly said

"Sly, you know if the kid or kids take after you…me or someone else will probably have to arrest them" Carmelita said

"Well, what else is there for people in our line of work" Sly asked

"Have you tried mercenary work" Nick asked

"Mercenary work" Sly asked

"Yeah, but…more honorable unlike my deadbeat dad was" Nick said

"Mercenary…hmm" Sly muttered, thinking about it

(Sly's P.O.V)

"We had DONE it…although we didn't get all the treasure, what we got was worth so much more than just money, plus the dragon statue we found was MORE than enough to let us live comfortably for a very, VERY long time if not for life, that image still flashes in my mine even now, as the vault was destroyed with both M and Kion inside when it collapsed, while I'm a little saddened that a former friend was once again dead…he wasn't the same person I knew years ago as for M, even if he wasn't knocked out, he probably wouldn't have left anyway, he spent SO MANY years lusting after the Assassin fortune sealed in that vault and he was more than likely NOT gonna give it up no matter the price, I couldn't stop thinking about it the final fate of the Assassin legacy, it was a bitter, sweet moment…as I laid there with my pregnant fiancée safely in my arms and my family even the people who were trying for so long to lock me up yet I respect as honest cops, I was lost in my thoughts, thinking of all the moments that brought us here, both good and bad, the Fiendish five, mine and Neyla's reunion, tracking down the stolen Clockwerk parts, taking down the Klaww gang, recruiting our future family members, me and my family worked for a LONG time to get into that vault and now it's secrets were hidden again…this time PERMANENTLY but…I think what we found in there was way more valuable than gold…I found out who I was, Mario could only teach me so much but when I meet the ancestors in the gauntlet…being able to talk to them and hear history from their mouths instead of on the pages of books, it was a once in a lifetime experience and I will NEVER forget it, neither will I forget the words of wisdom they passed onto me, I have no idea what the future will bring especially my love and our child but I'm jumpin in with BOTH feet"

(End of P.O.V) (Site of Lian Yu)

As the island stood there with one, less mountain on it, we see someone walking to one of the beaches of the island, it was Kion while heavily bruised, bleeding and even missing his left eye, he somehow survived the collapsing mountain but he had an even bigger problem, he was alone and STRANDED on the now deserted island, much of M's fortress fell to pieces with the violent collapse of the mountain that held the vault and therefore any chance that he had of getting off the island was gone, looking out over the ocean as the waves rocked and crashed onto the shore he could only think ONE person who was responsible for ALL OF THIS, from his past to his master's death to taking the woman he was hellbent on having for himself

"COOPERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR…this is YOUR FAULT, someone I'll get off this godforsaken island and when I do…I'll take great pleasure in taking both your LIFE AND MY NEYLA FROM YOU EVEN IF I HAVE TO TAKE HER FROM YOUR COLD, ROTTING CORPSE TO DO IT" Kion shouted at the top of his lungs, vowing revenge

Well…your gonna have to find out next time in the 4th installment in the Cooper's creed story which if you were expecting it to be connected to "Sly Cooper: Thieves in time" well…sorry but next time I'm doing something a LITTLE different, so when the next installment of this story line comes out, I ask that you bear with me on it, but now it's time to cap off this story
